This is an area in which I often fail miserably.
This brings such unwanted side effects as procrastination, boredom and sometimes even anger, if not just out of blind fear.

I’m going to start taking care of myself. Oddly enough, this can only be achieved by striving to be less and less selfish. By using every resource possible to starve this permeating and death-dealing trait. If selfishness is the reason that people are so miserable in this decaying world, than it only stands to reason that giving of yourself will achieve the opposite effect.

I look forward to putting these thoughts I only wish I could claim were mine, into motion.

First thing this morning, that time between shutting off my alarm and putting on my socks, I had a thought. A thought that, when nurtured, turned into a something unavoidable.

If I love earplugs during the night, who's to say I wouldn’t like them at the same time the sun is on my side of the earth?
So today, I made a choice. One that at first seemed to be insignificant, but has changed a portion of how I live from here on out.
Those very same plugs that have filled my ears at night would remain in my canals for the remainder of the day.

If you read further, beware on the grounds that this may become an addiction. Granted, one of the least destructive addictions a person can have, but an addiction nonetheless.
I tell you this, there are few things I’ve experience that can compare to laying face up on cement in the pouring rain, with only the sound of the drops hitting your forehead, and of yourself inhaling, and exhaling. Close to an hour of the most solicitude I’ve experienced. Ever.
I would go into greater detail about the numerous pleasure of being flat on your back with the rain pouring, deaf as a bat. But it is so beautiful that I feel I cannot describe it further without sounding like a pompous twit. {that’s Twit, with an ‘i’}

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy certain noises.
But whether they admit it or not, every parent has a preference in child.
I like sound, but let’s just say I would leave my whole inheritance to silence.
Come to think of it, it’s reminiscent of being completely piss drunk {which I don’t do anymore btw} but while at the same time, being totally coherent.

The many times of coming in contact with people, most said something pointing to their ear, to which I simply responded, 'Doctors orders'.
No further explanation was necessary. Which raises the question in my mind, what medical condition would require the mandatory use of earplugs?

This has been one of the best days in a while.

I’ll just start right out of the gate my saying that the Andy Griffith Show is far and away the best show on television. Has been since nineteen ought six.

People should stop taking pictures of themselves.
If no one is willing to take a picture of you, take a hint.

People really need to stop bitching about gas prices. Okay, it is more expensive. It will increasingly continue to be so. Deal.
An extra 7-18 dollars to fill up? INSANITY! People have bigger problems, and it comes down to the fact that you’re just centered on yourself.

Everytime I see a fella wearing a ‘rag’ under his hat, I truthfully want to punch him.

If you say you like American made mayonnaise, you’re a liar.

Same with potato salad.

Small talk is useless talk.. It’s right in the name.
If you’re so desperate to talk that you don’t have anything to say, but still insist on doing so, go take pictures of yourself.
