I haven't had much time to shoot (except for a few weddings and portraits here and there) since I made the permanent move to Seattle and started a new job a year ago. It's definitely one of the best designed photo sites I've seen in a while. Soon I will be collaborating with a friend of mine to build myself a promotional photography website. It should be really cool, as he is a designer at CRASHSHOP

After working as a photographer for different people all year, I finally had a chance to go out and shoot for myself yesterday. Actually, I lied, I was out on assignment, but took some extra time to shoot my own stuff. I'll post a few of the good ones.

I am now in the full swing of things at school. Taking 4 classes while working is something I haven't done before. It has proven difficult to keep up with everything, but I think I'm doing ok. I've been working as a photographer for the school, mostly doing stuff for the yearbook and student directory. This has taken away from my time to do my own photography, but I have enough work from the summer that I'll still be able to upload photos on a fairly regular basis. I started looking into some new ideas to break from the type of photos that I'm used to taking. I just bought a Smena 8m and am going to pick up a Holga 120N soon. I've been interested in Lomography for a while and thought it would bring a new sense of creativity and fun to taking pictures. We'll see how that goes.

I joined a couple of clubs on deviantart lately. Check them out.
Alaska provided some beautiful scenery and I tried to capture as much of it as possible. I will be going to Fiji for two weeks at the beginning of September and am extrely excited to take pictures in such an amazing place.

Because of classes and schoolwork, my submissions will not be as frequent as they have been. I am planning on taking as many pictures as possible, but I'm not sure how much that will entail. The weather in seattle also plays a factor. I may have to experiment with some indoor photography. We'll see. I hope everyone's new year is going great so far!
