Damn I just love hurricane season.
Managers/Owners of the restaurant said we would stay open... only closing if they evacuated the island.

When I worked this morning, I got flooded with calls from frantic employees asking about the 7:30 curfew, and calls from fucking customers wanting to know if we'd be open tonight.
WHO. THE. FUCK. Would come in to eat when there's a fucking HURRICANE making its way here?
GODDAMN TOURISTS.

They're the reason WHY we're trapped on this god-forsaken island right up until it's evacuated.

Oh. And there's a Harley Davidson rally going on two streets down from where I live.
Those fuckers keep their goddamn country music BLARING at ungodly hours of the night. D:<

Oh, and lucky us, there are like, 5 cables that *were* holding our trailer down that have rusted completely through. Good thing we're on the highest ground in this neighborhood, because this place floods like a bitch.

Indiana Jones: I went to go see that last night because *gasp!* I had a Friday night off from work.
I've been hearing a lot of bad talk about it, and in my honest opinion, it wasn't that bad.
Now, it didn't live up to my Indie Expectations, mind you, but it was still a good movie nonetheless.
The only thing I did not like about it is that it went a little too far into paranormal stuff for me. The effects were great, and there were a lot of funny moments, and a huge plot twist [that's almost predictable] halfway through the film.

Not saying much more, or else I'll give away spoilers. So yeah. It's worth a watch.
A lot of punching. Lots and lots of punching.
And the fedora. Always the fedora.

It's memorial day weekend.. and since I live at the beach, everyone's coming here.
And my GOD are tourists stupid as hell and can NOT drive.
It was way too busy for my tastes this morning and it was near impossible to get out of the parking lot when it was time for me to go home.
There were wrecks left and right.
And I say if it's going to be like this now, then I DREAD the 4th of July.
Sadly, the island only really has one main road.. and it's gonna be HELL for me to get out of the neighborhood now...
Time for me to start riding my bike to work.

I'm filled with bitter, anger-type emotions right now. They hired a bunch of new girls at work. [All preps.] Yes, I've graduated and I still refer to that clique title. But they are all so dopey. D|

And now, we aren't allowed to order food from work when our shift is over. So says the GM.
So now I have to rely on to get me through the day.
I don't think the owner knows about it, so ohh will he have an earful when he next comes in to check up on us.

Like seriously, if I weren't getting paid more here than I did even at Wal-mart, my ass would be out the door, cause I'm sick of the drama, sick of the stupid co-workers, sick of managers who don't give a rat's ass about you. [Well, I guess those will be at any job, won't they??]

Sorry for not being on recently and responding to comments/messages I've been getting from you guys.
I still do get on and glance over the art you guys submit and I do read the comments you leave, but I just haven't had the time to reply.

A lot's been going on irl. Finally got my raise at work, and to be honest, that raise is the only thing keeping me there right now.

My boyfriend and I broke up the 19th. I cried, but I knew it was coming. I don't do well with long-distance relationships, especially since I'm quite clingy.
So, I started talking to someone at work, and that ended up... well things didn't turn out like I would have preferred them to. But oh well. That's life.
Maybe I'll find someone sometime soon. :<

Holee shyt.
Life has been getting pretty hectic for me the past week.
And it's only going to get busier come the summer-time/tourist season.

So to let you ladies and germs know where the HELL I've been the past gods-knows-how long, I'll tell you.

The manangers *cough* FINALLY *cough* decided whether to put me on as a waitress or keep me as a hostess.

drumroll PLZ.....

I start my training March the 18th!!! CHYEABOI! Moar monies fer me! *parties*

But things are gonna be a little confusing cause they just hired another waitress named Amanda. So we're going to have another incident like we did with the three Amy's.
I don't know what her last name is, but I guess they'll calls us by our first name&last initial? idkkk.
If I hadn't already been working there for 5 months, and they weren't so used to calling me Amanda, I would inform them that they can call me Mandy.

But yes. Busy. I hate it. Should be doing art. Should be studying menu. IT'S a BITCH.
21-odd-something pages to memorize. And that's not even including all the drinks at the bar I have to squeeze into this little pea-sized brain of mine. Dx
So here's to hoping I can do it...

STEP ONE

Donated blood yesterday. It was my second time donating, but for some reason this time I passed out.
Last thing I remember was the doctor filling up the little vials that come with the packet at the end, and I kinda went deaf, raised my hand to my head, which was really heavy, then everything went dark.
I woke up about ten minutes later with a bunch of nurses and the doctor surrounding me asking if I was alright.
I told them I had to get to work, but they really didn't want me to leave.
Then when I did get in to work, I felt like I was gonna pass out, so I'd go to sit, and start feeling a little better, but then I'd feel sick again the moment I tried to get anything done.

I think there's a guy at work that I just might like. Is Mandy's single-streak of almost a year about to come to an end??

So yeah there's a small update of my life at this moment.
Now to go try and get ready for work, and see if I can make it through today without passing out. ((I still feel really woozy.))

I know eating will help me, but every time I try to eat something, it's like my stomach closes up and doesn't want me to eat. D:

Gah. My life is slowly being zapped away from me.... to where? school. D:

I have to present my senior project in class tomorrow. (Which will only be 15% of the grade) Senior boards, on the other hand, on the 22 are gonna be worth 85%. D:

Last day of school for us seniors is, I believe, the 30th! Almost two weeks away!!! ahh!!
I am muy nervioso. ((And I think I'm still failing spanish2)) xD

The art show is tomorrow at 7:30- anyone who goes to my school should DEFINITELY GO. It'll be in the auditorium and I'm gonna get my rents to go. Any opportunity for E.C. points, and I'm there! xD

Things are starting to look up- I'm not failing math anymore. Got a 74.
Not sure about my Spanish 2 grade though. Damn those conjugations.

29 days till graduation!!!! I'm so happy/scared/sad/relieved/stressed/WTF!!! xD

I wanna go to this school in Fla. but idk. I'll probably get stuck at Wake Tech.

Ahhh it's the end of the year!!! So exciting!!!! xD OHHHH!!!!! I'm so working on this piece for the art show next tuesday... it's looking great so far- it feels good to be *attempting* to make good art on my own time again!!! xD

Guess who's going to prom??

I'm getting my mom todo my hair this year, since I don't like how it turned out last year ([link]) I felt like I had a green bowl of spaghetti on my head. D:

I've decided to start making customized stationary. Currently working on a few samples, and I'll put them up when I am finished. As soon as I get Paypal, I'll figure out costs and start selling customized stationary.
Oh yes, and as soon as I get paypal, I'll start taking commissions.

Raven- I've started coloring that drawing for you with Photoshop. I hope to have it done by Friday at the latest. I have a couple of questions for you though- so I'll just pm them to you on Gaia.

I believe it is, folks.

If you go to my school, then you probably know these little problems by now. But those who DON'T- let me tell you one thing....

We went back to school last Friday, and I was really hyped- becoming a senior and all. I was looking forward to all the priveledges the seniors get- leaving at 2:45 while everyone else leaves three minutes later, getting to go to lunch early, and many other things I may have not known about.

WELL. We have a new principal, who just got out of being principal at an elementary school- and of course, she shows favoritism. SHE TOOK AWAY ALL OUR PRIVELDGES. NOW, we leave LATER than everyone else- everyone who rides the bus leaves at 2:45 and we get stuck leaving at 2:50. Two minutes LATER than the underclassmen did last year.

Now, there's no more seeing friends in the hallway in the morning- with that nifty little "NO LOITERING RULE" we have to go straight to our homeroom- and stay there.
Last year we just had homeroom (back then known as advisory) once every month or so. But now we must go there every single morning.

Lunches- last year we had 4 lunches. This year- SIX! And I get to have 5th. *feels so friggin sorry for Raven, who has 6th* A BIG hug goes out to

And I'm stuck in Spanish 1, when I had wanted to take Latin 1. BUT NO. The latin teacher left, so like half of the class, I'm doomed to take spanish. (When it was mandatory to take it all 6 years of elementary school at Wake Christian Academy) *dies*

Okay, okay, enough of my rambling and bellyaching about my suffering and how sucky my life is. lmao jk jk. It could be worse, I suppose.

I'll try to be posting up something new sometime soon, but I can't guarutee it.

If you don't understand, then I suppose I'll fill you in. Three of my bestest friends and I started up a roleplay during school. and being two of them.

We wondered "How in the heck will we still roleplay over the summer" so we came up with the idea of using fanfiction.net. (The typing of the beginning of the story is in progress.)
And in case anyone had actually stumbled across our little roleplay/story, I decided to take it upon myself to make a little character page, explaing our char's bios and such. (The link to the afore-mentioned page is above.) I will have their full bios up on there when I return.

When the story has been typed and posted, I will post the link here.

I'm considering holding a contest- nah eff it. I'm holding one.

1st prize- colored (or not if you wish) drawing of your choice.
2nd prize- un-colored drawing of your choice
3rd prize- the original drawing of "Burning angel wings to dust..." ([link])

Ok, here's what your criteria is: A drawing/artpiece of either 1-Mayumi (my char- exapmles of what she looks like can be found here [link] and here [link] .) or an artpiece of a fox. (like either a drawing, or a picture you had taken, etc.) -I just love foxies. X3

So yes, if you get in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, your prize will be sent to you either one of two ways- if uncolored and you wish to have the original copy, then send me a message with your address, and I'll send it to you via snail mail.
(Hopefully I can get one of those good envelopes so I don't have to fold it, and then take it to the post office.)
But if you just want it sent electronically, then, well I'll have it posted up here. Also, if the 1st place winner wants an original *colored* copy, then, well it depends on if you want it colored via pc or colored pencil, I suppose- b/c if I color it on the pc you'd have to print up the picture on your own, because my printer's rubbish.

So umm... I hope I got everything... If you have any questions, feel free to comment me, and I'll get to you as soon as my schoolwork allows me. -_-;;

Oh, yeah- before you enter my ittybitty contest, I'd advise you to have a look-see through my gallery, just to make sure you actually like my style... because yeah... I don't want to have anyone expecting some tremendous prize that looks like some of the really good art on here (i'm so jealous) and then have you be let down... so yes.... um..... sorry, just a little note.
