Oh, I know this should probably go in my dA stuff catagory, but I want it to be rather prominent. I want to make my own CSS for this journal, as well as for my gallery, I've been looking through the tutorials provided here, but I would love some help from anyone that has made one before. ^^;

Personal Stuff=

Visiting relatives is always an event that has it's ups and downs, and that really is how my trip was. I'm not really going to elaborate on what all took place, other then the fact that I had a chance to go 4wheeling up in the Wyoming mountains. ^^

I ended up taking this idea from :iconichigosakura:. Basically I'm going to take my favorite picture from each page in my favorites and give it some time to shine, as well as talk about it a little, until I update my journal again. My 10 features still haven't gone away, so don't worry about them going missing. ^^
Be forewarned, I have 38 pages of favorites.

Page 38:

I'm not sure why, but the simplicity of this piece has always fascinated me. Sharp lines and a strong contrast with only two colors, it really stands out to me everytime I look at it.

Page 37:

The sketchy look is a nice touch when all you're normally looking at are final pieces. I love this pose, and this is my favorite anime/game character ever. ^^

Page 36:

One of the most beautiful pictures I've ever come across online, or even in real life, I always wished that this was a print so that I could buy a large poster of it. ~lynda-chan is an amazing artist and I love her work.

Page 35:

Ah *kris-wilson, his comics have always been a unique mix of morbid and entertaining. ^^

Page 34:

Now this was a tough call considering page 34 has many really nice pieces. This one stands out mostly because I've always liked wings, and the simple background flatters this piece beautifully.

I absolutely adore ~bliss-greycloud's dragons, they are so unique and refreshing. ^^

Personal Stuff=

With the semester done with and the year soon to follow, I look on eagerly to the new year.

I'm very happy with the fact that at the end of this month, it will have been 7 months since my boyfriend and I started dating. We haven't hit any potholes in the relationship yet, and I'm confident that we most likely never will. ^^

I was ecstatic when I found out that I'd passed all of my courses with B's or better this semester, since my GPA needed a recovery after one bombshell after another of math. Next semester I will start my Spanish, and if I do well enough with it, I'll take summer and winter courses and hopefully knock it out before two years have passed....Granted, that is only if I don't have a difficult time with it...Or more to the point, my horrible procrastination. I am trying to kick that habit, and that actually will be my New Years resolution: Stop being a lazy ass all the time.

Also, I've decided not to take a fencing course, mainly because my lack of serious exercise for the past two years will get me killed in that fast paced of an environment. So instead, I'm taking Tai Chi...which I have done before and know how relaxing it is while still being a form of exercise. If I can get myself into enough shape, I'll move on to another form of martial arts by next fall, and hopefully find something that will stick. ^^

Business Stuff=

Recently I had an opportunity to do illustrations for a Children's book, but I passed it up when I realized that I still have some personal growth needed before I'm ready to actually launch my carrier.

A friend of mine has brought up that he would like to start his own website for a roleplay community. This would be based off of what we currently do on the forums of another website, and would have basis in at least three separate story lines being merged together. I've been talking with my friend ~xX-Pandora-Xx about the art and such of the site, and am very interested in doing comics of the various fights our characters always seem to find themselves in. My recent deviation 'The Waitress Named...' is actually my character for this, and I plan on doing up concept pieces for her as well as the other two main characters.

So, because of this, I would love any information on how to create personal websites, as well as banners, links, etc. All help is appreciated, since I've never attempted anything to this scale.

Abit of personal stuff=

Not so long ago, I started dating a close friend of mine. :giggle: Nothing says nerd dating quite like how we end our evenings, either watching anime or talking about the upcoming tabletop game of the week. Also, for the next week I'm going to be taking care of a young kitten for my friend :iconmeki-neko:, so I get to spend a week or so making sure my older cats don't decide to gang up on the kitten. ^^;

Something that I'm estatic about though is that I won't be taking any math this semester simply because I think I've found a lope hole in degree's that will allow me to get away with a basic math course instead of stressing over algebra.

Recently I've been asked by someone for a commission at the local game shop, so on friday we are going to be discussing what exactly he want's drawn up and how much I'll be charging for it. I would really apreciate some suggestions on what would be acceptable charges *just in general, I can always adapt it for personal needs later*.

I'm still trying to get a start on my 2k pageviews picture, as well as the two commissions I owe and ^^; I know it's been awhile, and I do admit, I'm acheiving a new level of procrastination. But, I do have a drawing ready to be put up this weekend, and even will have a drawing class project or two to post, so all is not lost. :slow:

Anyways, I can't believe I failed to mention this before, but I'm trying to do this lil comic strip with , called "The Blue Brisk". The name came from one of those generators *second fav' colour+ fav' drink= * So yeah, I've already made the first of at least three strips, and am revising the cover page that'll show the detail and colour of Blue Brisk's interesting costume. :D

1. I cannot sleep without some form of sound/light/or animal shaped object *or an actual animal* in the same room as me. If I try I will be awake for 4 hours straight *it's happened before ^^;*

2. I am almost always compelled to sing to any song I know the words to, even if I'm in a quiet environment or need to stay quiet.

3. If I am shocked/stunned enough in a single moment I will cry. *an example would be about a week ago when a friend of mine was goofing around and was about 3 inchs away from hitting me full in the face with a 40 lb book. :shakefist:

4. I refuse to eat anything that's within a day or two of the sell by date experation... The only exeption are bagels 'cause their experation is almost always 3-4 days after you buy them. :bleh:

5. When I do the dishes I always have to do them in a certain pattern or else it irritates me to no end for hours afterwards. :no:

6. I hate all forms of coffee with a passion and try to not be near people when they are drinking coffee. :bleh:

I finally have everything settled that had been keeping me outta commission. I am now into my second semester of college, and thanks to my dual enrollment credits I'm already considered a sophmore. :w00t!: This semester I am taking intermediate algebra *I actually survived the first class :faint:* and I'm finally taking the art class I wanted.

About my cat, I've gotten past being sad about her having to be put down. It helps that a few days after we took her in, my dad and I went to the pound and I adopted a kitten. She's absolutely adorible, a bombay *black cat ^^* and in 4 weeks she'll be a year old. I named her Circe (seir-see) and she's a little klutz...she also really, really likes her food and because of this she has already gained about 8lbs since we got her. :no:

So for now, 'cause of the art class, don't be surprised if I upload some of my projects from time to time. I probably won't be on dA everyday, but I'll try to not pull a 4 month drop again. ^^;

Also, I'm not in the best of moods right now 'cause my cat of *just shy of* 9 years is gonna be put down either later today or tomorrow because she has a really bad intestinal problem. So if ya don't hear from me for a week or two, it's cause I'm trying to deal with her being gone and am also probably starting to look into finding a new kitten. *no I'm not insesetive, I'm just the type that I need a furry friend. ^^;*

I am now starting on my Big project commission for my Real life friend Stephen. I'm figuring this picture will take around 10-15 hours simply because I'm going to be going by pre-existing photos and trying to get as much detail as possible in. For my other commissions, this is what I have:

:A mech, and mechabunnie (complete: I combined the two together and will have the picture up sometime this week :D)
:Flowers, A faerie, butterflys (restarted to try and improve: still need to pen in)
:A dragon flying over a battlefield (still need to start ^^;)
:A dragon tattoo (complete: and finally penned in :w00t!:)

School seems to be going well for me so far, and I really do enjoy my classes. I'm planning to take an art class for the spring semester, and am now looking into local dojo's and/or gyms for martial arts classes simply because I think I need to find a creative way of working out...well, that and since age 7 I've wanted to take *(Insert a random martial art)* :D.

I actually really wish I'd signed up for an art class for this semester simply because I feal compelled to try and improve my drawing style...so till then I've been focusing on my commissions and some projects *example: my alucard, drow woman, warmachine pictures :p)*

Anyways, I'm down yet another 150 bucks thanks to my Math text books, but at least I won't have a reason to go to the bookstore on the first day.

One thing that's really nice is even if it's not much, I just got a 25 cents raise for with my job, and within the next year I should get a 50 cents boost :dance:.

Now then, I've recently decided to start doing projects and commissions. So far this is what I have set up:

6 weird things about me...

1. I can never take the last plastic cup in the cabinet, I have to go get a new stack and take the top one. :-O

2. Because I'm learning French, German, and am trying to teach myself Japanese, I tend to repace random words in english with a corresponding word in one of those languages.

3. I like bugs, but if they're dead and I find them long after they've been dead, I freak out and won't go near the area till they're gone.

4. I like swords and daggers...really like them. :paranoid: my friends have a running joke about that.

5. I love spicy foods and like it when things are hot *like when I'm doing the dishes and have the water on hot* but I can tollerate extreme colds and cold foods too. :confused: *usually people are one way or another 'bout that sort of stuff.*

6. I have really, really strong senses and can't be within 20 feet of a cleaning products/ or perfume area without getting a terrible headache and not being able to breath normally. *it really suchs :bleh:*
