Weeelll...Haven't uploaded anything in over a year, and man god knows how often i get on here. Almost forget about it sometimes. Anyways, I was thinking.

SO. I was just contemplating John Locke's "Tabula Rasa" theory. This basically says that people are born Tabula Rasa "A blank slate". In other words, people aren't born mean, they're made mean. I've been thinking about this, and I really think I agree with this John Locke character.

This leads one to think about how important this makes the family, particularly in American culture. I mean, whether your family is your biological family or just really close friends that take care of you, just about everyone i can think of has a "family" of some sort. These people mold us, and shape us, building us into the people we are now and will be. Literally constructing us from the "ground up".

So i got to thinking, what about people lacking proper family settings? Then i realized, oh thats right, we call them crazy, murderers, rapists, kidnappers, burglars, convicts. Its almost common knowledge that almost any sort of criminal has had a terrible family background, if any at all. They would grow up in a home situation most kids/people can't even imagine. Alcoholism, drug and domestic abuse, and all sorts of problems prevail in these convict-breeding factories.

So maybe there should be more focus, specifically in America, on the family. Forget building more prisons, what we need is more emphasis on improving the family unit. If more people respected the family unit, that problem would nearly fix itself. Its hard to find crime in a land of momma's boys.

Anyways, thats what my recent chain of thoughts has lead me to. Take from it whatever you want to.

People you meet/see on the internet. It's really interesting how people act when they have the power of total anonymity. I mean really. It's almost inevitable that a girl on the internet would be harassed, that any opinion you have would be eagerly disputed by some ignorant 8 year old, or in the circumstance of Dev art, your art would be made fun of. I mean, its not quite so bad here, considering most people on here actually have some kind of art on here themselves, but take youtube for example. at least 1 of every 3 comments is an insult, the other is spam, and finally, maybe, if you're really lucky, you'll get positive feedback.

Can't you just imagine some basement dwelling geek posting all of these insane things? I sure as hell can. Don't worry though, my computer's upstairs.

Ooooh internet, what horrible things you bring out of humanity.

since i've last been here. I've grown older, and realized drawing really isnt my thing...photoshopping is. Anyways, if anyone's actually reading this, well, I guess you could say it's good to be back. I'm planning on uploading a lot of the projects i've done tomorrow, and if anyone viewing my profile could please ignore my past creations, that'd be great. I got into a sort of doodling phase, drawing occasionally, but i really like using my camera/photoshop more. Anyways, if any of my past friends read this, go ahead and give me a comment! It'd be great to hear what you guys've been up to.

-Byron
