After a long hiatus in response to a few soul consuming photography jobs, I'm coming back to the photography game. I've realized that I have a lot of bare walls in my apartment and they need to be filled up with new photos--donations are welcomed.

Right now I'm waiting for August 9th, so I can go up to Rhode Island and pick up my camera and come back down to DC, where I now live and work.

I live right in the city, so I’m hoping to jump on top of the street photography game.

I'm going to get a new 50mm f/1.4 lens and see what I can do.
The deviant scene has changed; it’s a little bit more magna and anime'd out crap-drawings sprinkled with depressed teenagers looking for instant gratification and a sheltered community where all work is lovely. I'll be blunt: I want nothing to do with that.

What I do want is to look at photography that is done by serious individuals that want serious critique. There are a lot of you out there—-and for the ones that have left since I’ve last been on: you’ll be missed.

Looking for inspiration and advancement.
Big hopes for this year,

Brian

So I got some prizes from this photo contest I won. If anyone wants a ton of Tri-X 400 ISO for a cheap price, call me up. Its sitting in my fridge, so its being well preserved.

I went on my first photoshoot in a while today. I dont know why. Kind of bored and such... The results were great. Check out Cow and Cow1.

I also wanted to say that I dont read anyone's journal on this website so if you glance at this you're fucking weird.

I've also retired from the Photographer's Chatroom.

That's about it

I think i'm getting my creativity back. My 21 page English Term Paper stole my imagination for too long, i'm coaxing it out right now.

I believe I like these Jamestown Cows too much...
Cows period. I like taking pictures of them
I submitted them with my teacher's encouragment to a Nation-Wide Student contest... I will tell you if I make it anywhere, but if I win, I could win glorious pizes. Maybe new camera gear, a new lens, maybe something else that I would brood over for a bit... I would also love to give credit to a wonderful model that I have stumbled upon... Bethany Holmander seems to be the new Brian Kelleher Cover Girl; I hope to use her in numerous other shots that will be posted up here sooner or later.... Here is one of the shots that I submitted of her to Nationals..:
I went out after school with Zach Rice (before he basically gave up photgraphy) and did some Shooting in Jamestown, Rhode Island. This is what I came up with... I hope you enjoy...

Its 5:22 AM and my father, Mike, busts open my door and tells me in a rare and occasional eager mood that it was time for me to get up. It was time for NYC. I forced myself up against the heavy weight of sleep, dressed, showered, and packed my camera. We were on the road at 6:30, driving at fast speeds and listening to the Beatles - Revolver Album. What a great Album. Our car flew over through the expensive $4.50 tollbooth at the Triboro Bridge and hanged a left onto the FDR Drive... Took a left exit and got off that did a few fancy car manuevers and Parked at 80Th and 2nd.

The day started off with BHPhoto. I had to see the NYC superstore, and let me tell you: IT was HUGE. Everything optical was there, the lighting section was professional, cameras where organized by brand name, LENSES of every type stood upright behind the displays, huge stands for ever brand, telescopes, people yelling, people buying, people selling, and of course, Hasidic Jews. It was overwhelming, sort of a photography maze... I walked around with no idea what to do for about 15 minutes and then frantically searched for the exit, which took me about five minutes.. After visiting my Mecca, we hightailed it up to the Guggenheim museum. Of course they checked my bag, and were delighted to inform me that you could only take shots on the first floor. The Guggenheim is a spiral, a constant spiral as you can see here: and the paths were continuous... There were no technical "floors", so i really tried taking my camera out, but as soon as The gaurds saw my Black Beast they informed me that I couldn't do that....Each time I innocently Replied: "Oh, Really? I didn't know. Sorry.".... Of course I knew, and they knew that too, but that's pointless knowledge. All the exhibits at the Guggenheim were gone, Traded to other museums, except pricless works by Pablo, Vangough, and Monet. It was lovely.... After the Guggenheim we walked to Rockafeller Center, and I had a few oppurtunities for Extremely good Street Shots. For anyone that doesn't know (People from North Kingstown who look at this just for the fuck of it) It is where you take pictures of random people on the street and try to capture a moment. You dont know these people, but sometimes you can get stunning results. . There was a parade at Rockerfellar center, and i'll be sure to upload pictures (jsut as scraps) once I get my Camera's Battery Recharged.... I'm gettign tired of Typing, but there will be more....... Stay Tuned.

Weekly Deviant to go here.

I have a dent in my chest. Its caled a pectus Excavatum. You can search it up if you like, and see picture. Anyway, i'm getting it fixed. Tuesday, June 28th. They have to cut my chest open and break bones, put a big metal bar in and such. The surgery lasts about 8 hours. I'm going to be in the hospital for 7-10 days, fully loaded on a morphine. I get out when i stop needing the morphine. Anyway, I do need the operation for medical health, its squishing my lungs and heart, but its cosmetic too. The recovery time is going to be extremely intense. So this means, I'm not gonna be checking out deviations for atleast a week. I'm gonna have a very full inbox once I come back in. This is my last day, and twentyfour hours from now, yeah i'm gonna be FUCKED UP. The plus is, thers a huge surprise for me going on in hospital, and i could be getting a camera, probably not. Who cares. Lots of people are vistiing me and if you live near Rhode Island and care, I'm going to be at Hasboro's Children Hospital. Wish Me Luck,
Love you all.
