I'm living off 2 computers at the moment. This one could crash at any moment, and the other stays on but the letters don't really work on the keyboard. In particular the '0' and 'o'. Doh. And I would be using that one, but for some reason it won't turn on. I guess I'll try again later, but this one on my lap is good enough. I managed to get today off because I noticed I was doing a shift extra this week than I should be doing. I normally do 4 shifts each week. Sometimes I do 3 shifts one week and 5 the next, but that's still 8 shifts over 2 weeks. So I now have my first 2 days off in a row in a long time. Mwahaha. It was my sister =ghostlove's birthday yesterday and I did ring her up, but she was busy. And I said I would ring her up again, but I got a headache and went to bed.

Little did I know how severe that headache would be. I actually got an earache with it as well, and it was throbbing all over! Worst. Headache. EVER. It didn't help that my wisdom teeth are coming through and they were hurting as well- or maybe that was the cause? Hmm. But my whole head, from top to bottom, was aching and stabbing in pain. It woke me up first at 2am, and then after an hour of tossing and turning, I managed to go to sleep. It was so bad I was wishing I could knock myself out or something. And I'm a wuss, so I was telling myself I was going to die. XD!

Albel: "You're such a girl."

But thankfully I'm feeling better today. What am I going to do? Play on Tales of Symphonia 2 of course. As long as I can, that is. Oh-! And I got the first view of my Pucca My Little Pony, and she looks pretty good so far. The body is pink instead of red, but I think it will look better that way. I don't think it would have worked in red, seeing as most of the symbols are red and they wouldn't have stood out so much. I never was good at colour blending, so I'll leave it to the creator.

Anyway, better round this up!

Before I talk about TOS2, I just wanted to thank Jes =Akira-Yamato for her letter and the adorable Hedgehog she sent me! I've put him on my Mum's shelf, because she has a small collection of Hedgehogs (my Mother's name is Helen, so it's customary to call her Helen the Hedgehog). Why am I spelling Hedgehog with a capital 'h'? Oh well, I'll leave it like that! I think your handwriting is exceptionally tidy! Each letter is identical, it's brilliant. I ran up to my Mum holding it up to her and said: "look how neat Jesline's handwriting is! It's like Dad's!"
He has stencil neat handwriting.
And the little chibi drawings were awesome. I shall write my reply after I finish TOS2 up tonight. THANK YOU!

And on that note...

This afternoon, I finally got out and started playing Tales of Symphonia 2. I was happy when the game asked me to place my Gamecube Memory Card into the Wii to load my 'cleared save data' of the first game. And I got some special goodies! It's a nice bonus to have at the beginning of a daunting Tales game (because you know they're going to be huge). Unfortunately, my first impression was that it was pretty slow, and the main character was annoyingly weak, but thankfully everything picked up. There's a few pros and cons, but the story is really getting interesting now, and I love how I keep running into old characters (though I've only had Colette in my party so far, I'm sure Zelos will join me soon). I'm not sure I like having to have 4 monsters in my party and collecting them/ training them. It seems too much like Digimon for me. _{I say Digimon so pokemon fans won't instantly get annoyed.}

The main character seems to have a 'yami-yugi' thing going on (you know, like in YuGiOh?). In which he's just plain old Yugi when walking around (at the moment that's timid and fearful) and then when he fights he goes into 'yami-yugi' mode, posessed with a bold personality and strength. I've also run into the Super Chef about 3 times and have some cool recipes, but the let-down in my opinion is that you can't make yourself a sandwich after battles or on the field anymore. Cooking seems to be for leveling up monster abilities and trust. *SIGH*

But the fact you know RIGHT from the beginning, is that a certain character you love is going around killing and "purging" towns from anti-church rebels. Which all sounds a bit familiar, but I went with it. So not only am I in a state of double-mind, where half of me is defending the character I love and the other is questioning how they could do such things... but I also have to try and keep an open mind. The main character doesn't realise that he's doing exactly the same thing with someone he met and 'made friends' with at the beginning of the story. But he still hates 'xxx'.

In am typing this up on Mum's old computer (Dad bought her a laptop for x-mas). The laptop I usually use has broken. Poor thing. But that's the only bad piece of news to report. Today has been a very good day!

Merry Christmas to ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY!

Yesterday evening I watched the film "Blades of Fury" with Fredrik/=wazabees. It is an absolutely hilarious movie, and I almost peed my pants laughing. It finished at half past 12, and I tried to get to sleep before Mum put a stocking on my bedroom door, but I heard her doing it. Everyone went out yesterday because we realised Mum had made everyone stockings and she wouldn't have one. So we put together a stocking for her. I got a lot of nice things in my stocking. Plenty of chocolate. I got out Carn and Albel's stockings that morning after opening mine and helped them open it. Basically they had two boxes of feline treats and a nice littele ball to put them in.

Today has been really great. We were all up pretty early, not as early as we would have if Orion was here, but he is with his Dad. I got everyone some presents which I think went down quite well. Mum loved her chocolate fountain and Anji/=ghostlove really liked the crochet book. She said she'd make me one for my birthday, and I asked for the Amazon Woman crochet. What I like about the book is that it shows you how to crochet and it gives pictures of the completed versions, so it's nice just to look though for someone with a crafting skill of zero.

Carn and Albel got a pet house each, white and black. And each of them received a cat-nip pillow, as big as their heads, which they hug and bite/beat up. Albel's has a boxer/troblemaker cat on it and Carn's has an assortment of cute cats on it. When I got those two, I thought 'this is perfect, how did they know what Carn and Albel were like?' XD!

Mum and Dad set out the dining room table really nicely with a red table cloth and santa placemats and coasters. And dinner was lovely! We pulled crackers, took photos and then sat down to watch the 'Queen's Speech' and 'The Incredibles' (including the Jack-Jack Attack' short on afterwards). Now I'm waiting for Doctor Who to come on. It's the last one with David Tennant in it. So I shall savour every moment. I just hope the new Dr lives up to my expectations.

Presents I received for christmas:

Anji and Fred (sister and her partner) got me a Pucca accessories set for my DS Lite. It's really cute.
Orion (nephew) got me a set of 5 Hello Kitty figures.
My Grandad Capes and family sent me a £15 cheque.

The third and, I'm guessing by the word 'fin' at the end, final volume of the Star Ocean Second Evolution manga arrived today, and it is as gorgeous as the other volumes. I know you can buy volumes 1 + 2 on ebay, but I got volume 3 from this website. There are a few Star Ocean anthologies on the same site, which might entice you to buy them all at their current cheap price. They're not going anywhere, so it's safe to say you can save up some money and buy them later. Regardless, I am really pleased with these newer versions of the manga. They're gorgeous. I like Mayumi Azuma's version, but this new one is really cute. They're by Morohe Yoshida, and there's a color page on the inside, and when the dust jacket with the color front and back covers is removed, there's a couple of comic strips on the back and an illustration on the front. Really nice.

What else arrived today but my Pucca alarm clock. The alarm is a really loud and intrusive song, so I'll just have to use it as a clock. I have a boring cheap alarm clock, but the alarm works for me and it fits handily on my bottom wardrobe shelf next to my bed at head height.

It's been a nice day, with Anji and Orion coming over first, followed by Dad and then Fred. Steve and Denise (my parent's friends) also stopped by, but it's been great talking to Anji and Fred and watching Terminator 2 with Mum and Fred. I see now what these films are all about. I want to watch the others now. Thsi is the second film in a franchise that I have watched #2 of first- the other was 'Aliens 2' and it seems both that and Terminator 2 have a strong female lead, which is what interests me. I also watched parts of Cutthroat Island today with Geena Davis, so my feminist psyche is in full swing. GO KICK-ASS WOMEN!!!
I wish I was a kick ass woman. Nope. I'm just the enthiusiast fan-geek with a penchant for fanfictions. XD!

But anyway, have to go to work tomorrow. Am looking forward to seeing Donna for the first time in ages. Am not looking forward to seeing the boss-lady or dealing with my time off or that she owes me a week annual leave. Am not looking forward to seeing my measly paycheck when I have already spent over £150 of it on My Little Ponies (4 collector ponies and a custom pony).

Lastly... I AM looking forward to receiving my Albel Nox plushie, which was made by :iconTeam-thrash: and finished in great time. WHOO- IT'S NEARLY CHRISTMAS!!!

I put the christmas tree up this afternoon.

My Dad and I had just finished watching 'The Mummy 3' and I decided to put the tree up. It's all decorated with all the baubles I could find, and a few are really old- the Mickey Mouse, Santa, Snowman and carollers pair are anyway. The only thing missing- is our ANGEL!!! Where's the angel??? But *Flare-Haynekie will be happy to know that her bells (whether intended for christmas or not) went on the tree. They look ace, and I took a photo of them on the tree by themselves before putting the rest of the baubles on (there's a few photos of it at the bottom of this journal).

I've also tidied the shelves and put the x-mas cards received so far out on them, and placed everything so it looks nice. Hopefully my Mum will like it when she gets home.


My Little Pony...

When I was little I used to have LOADS of My Little Ponies. Alas, now they've all passed on to other owners because I gave them to charity, but I still love those things. I knew people did it, but lately I've been really in to looking at 'custom made' MLP's. Here are some of the ones on DA I think anyone can appreciate:

Marylin Manson Pony, Wednesday Adams Pony, Captain Jack Sparrow Pony, Google Pony and Professor Snape Pony.


There's also one on Ebay currently selling for £120+ here. Crazily awesome, isn't it? If you read the description on how long it took to make and how- and then look at the detail and materials, I can kind of see how it's worth that much. But sheesh, I bet the person bidding on it is super obsessed with MLPs. Myself? I'm just a collector of many things that strike my fancy.

I asked a seller on ebay to make me a custom MLP for the much more reasonable price of $35 shipping included. It's going to be a red pony with designs from Pucca, with Pucca and Garu on either side. The customiser has to spray paint several times, redo the eyes, put in new hair and then meticulously add all the details. I'm going to find some black ribbon to add my final touches when it gets to me, and I'm also looking for a necklace of the Pucca '' symbol. As well of this, there are some really cool 'comic con' ponies by the offical company made up as super-heroes. Went to Fareham with Mum to do the rest of my christmas shopping. It's all done now. Boy am I prepared! I just hope my sister hasn't got what I bought her, because it was on her Amazon wishlist but she may have bought it by now. >0> ===3
And I'm not sure if Orion has the big book I bought him, but if he does then he'll just have another copy to keep nice, won't he?

I was quite embarrassed by the clerk in Thorntons today (it's a chocolate shop). I went up to pay for my items and this is what happened:

Thorntons Lady (TL): Oh, these two are on offer, buy two get one free.
Me: Nah, I'm okay.
TL: You might as well. *waits with expectant look on her face*
Me: Err, okay. *goes to one side of the store and picks something up, then takes it back to the clerk*
TL: You know you're paying for the most expensive two?
One cost £10 and the other £3.99. I got another £10 one so instead of it costing £13.99, I would be paying £20.
Me: Okay, I'll get another £3.99 one then. *goes to other side of store*
By this time, a huge line had formed in the tiny cramped shop, so I was excusing myself a lot. But just as I picked up the £3.99 box? The clerk called over to me.
TL: Oh, sorry! I didn't look properly, none of these items are part of the same deal.
Me: ... ... >___> RIGHT. Okay. Thanks. *goes to put the item back*
TL: Do you want any of this gift wrapped?
Me: *looks at the ever growing line of customers she squeezed her way through four times* No thank you, I'll just pay. _{You know, like I was going to do 3 minutes ago?}

Why can't store owners leave it alone? Deals aren't always deals when you just want three particular items. I was really miffed, until a lady dropped her bag outside the store. It was full of glass jars of food. Some kind of red liquid was dripping all over the floor. And I realised... 'well... at least I'm not that woman'. I also saw 'Zone of the Enders' in GAME for the PS2, and it was only £5, but decided not to buy it. Looking on Play.com now, I'm glad. £3 delivered for free. ^0^

Outside, Mum handed me a £20 note. Which I was psyched about, because I think I've gone over-board spending wise this month. _{Since when is that new?} I decided to spend half of the £20 and use the rest for packs of food for the next week or so. And in WHSmith? There was a Special Edition Star Wars magazine, full of original concept art, photos and articles. For £9.99. Which fit perfectly into my 'spend half of £20 plan'. It's a great magazine. I was being a perfectionist and going through the copies they had to find an untarnished, unbent one. Doi.

Today Valhalla Knights AND Lux-Pain arrived in the post. So I'm spoiled for choice game-wise. SO2, Phantasy Star, Lux-Pain and Valhalla Knights. Not to mention Chrono Trigger and Persona on my R4. It's been a good day! Back to work tomorrow I think, I'll just check. A couple of weeks ago I received a letter saying that the Heroes magazine was going to be cancelled. It said we still had a couple of issues left in our subscription, so could we please choose another magazine instead? I lost the letter, but today I decided to call them. I explained that the magazine was in the name of my Dad since at the time I didn't have a VISA. Now you can get VISA cash/debit cards, which I have one of, so I can buy online pretty much wherever I want. I wanted to switch from the Heroes magazine to the Star Wars magazine, so I spent ages giving her my details, then I told her which magazine I wanted to switch to, and then she told me... we'd run out of issues. >___>

"Huh???" _{This was me.}

Oh yes, even though we just received a letter saying we still had some issues to collect on and needed to switch our magazine to get our money's worth, apparently we got sent the letter in error. We'd received all of our magazines already. So now I'm confused. I was sure when we got the Heroes magazine that we received 3 magazines free, so the total was to be 9? Or maybe that was my Otaku USA magazine??? But that was ages ago! Well least to say, I wasn't impressed. I was very nice to the girl on the phone though, because she apologised for the a-hole who sent us that letter. But it wasn't her fault. I was going to subscribe to the Star Wars magazine, but decided instead....

...to forgive the "Otaku USA Magazine" for their diabolical "Star Ocean review".
And I've made out a 2 year subscription with them instead of Titan Magazines, and I will get a free T-Shirt.

Today I think I'll do another chapter of Phantasy Star Universe, which I started to play yesterday. It has a 'Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic' feel to it in gameplay. You have the typical RPG bar on the bottom left, with the profile picture of your character. 2 simple lines of green and yellow indicate health and experience gained. One gets lower as you are attacked, the other gets higher as you kill more foes. Simple and easy. Enemies appear on the screen and you can avoid them if you wish. You can assign weapons to the right bar. Pressing one of the buttons on the X-Box controller means you can switch between small sword or large sword. When equipped with the small sword, you can press another button to whip out your phaser (awesome) and shoot American style until you hit the target (I'm only kidding, US buddies). You can also press the directional button to the right when slecting weapons and select items instead, such as healing packs and stuff. When walking around talking to people you have a real conversation with them. Bug pictures of the character appear at times when he is angry, sad or otherwise engaged in important conversation, like in anime style. I'm not sure whether it's distracting or hilarious.

I quite like the game, except for some cheesy voice acting and the generic 'boy protects girl' storyline. But hey, the sci-fi scenes are brilliant. And Pete the sophisticated alarm clock is so cute. I also like the Guardian packs which can store anything virtually and then procure it physically. Awesome sci-fi way of getting around- I uh, mean explaning how one character can hold so much equipment. I've also ordered "Lux-Pain" on the commandment of *Flare-Haynekie, who said she was enjoying it immensely. I know we usually like the same sort of games, so I trusted her and went for it. £7.49. And I got the first game of "Valhalla Knights" for £7.99. Both with free delivery, of course.

I waited in all day for my manager to call me today, but she didn't. >___> I asked Donna to tell her to ring me back because otherwise I couldn't sort out annual leave she had made a blunder of. But even though Donna had told her, she left without calling me. Now I won't see her until Friday, so I'll have to keep ringing her all week. Ooh, she makes me so mad! I know she was in and rang in 3 times, but never got hold of her. She is either the most absent minded woman in the world, or is being purposefully evasive.

But tonight is SHOWTUNES night! Every Monday evening at 9pm (Great British/ London time) there's a great radio show by Roger Day and Phil Molyneux on BBC Radio Solent. It's of songs from the classic musicals. Here's where you can listen to last mondays show in the iPlayer section, but you'll want to skip pass the first 2 hours, as this is the evening show. The Show Tunes/ Musical programe starts at 2:00 on the timer. I also challenge anyone to count how many times Roger Day and Phil Molyneux say 'absolutely' and 'indeed'. It's brilliant. As is the way they laugh/snigger invites you to laugh along at their cheesy 'Dad' jokes. XD!

Today I've been carrying on in the 'Galaxy' mode of SO2. I have 7/8 characters at the moment: Claude, Rena, Celine, Opera, Earnest, Bowman and Leon. I am planning on choosing Chisato as my 8th party member. What else have I done today? Um... nothing. XD! I ate a slice of Raspberry Cheesecake, 3 mini strawberry dreams and 2 tea-cakes. All very small. _{Yeah right...}

Anyway, lookee at the cute journal footer by , who kindly allowed me to use it! It's of all the Tales of Symphonia characters in christmas suits! And they're chibis! It's all you could ever want of the TOS gang this x-mas. It's at the bottom of the journal, where a footer should be.

I finally beat SO2! I never even finished the Playstation version, but today I finished the PSP version. Awesome doesn't quite cut describing how I'm feeling right now. One of the things that has always put me off finishing SO2 is the hundreds of endings! I think there are over 80 possible ones. I was always worried about getting endings between characters I didn't like. These are the ones I got in the end:

Claude + Rena
Celine + Clyde (secret ending)
Ashton + Precis
Dias + Welch (ROFL!!!)
Noel alone

This is brilliant for me, as I thought all the endings were both sensible or entertaining. It helped that I like all the characters. And Noel is an animal lover, so it's okay if he's on his own at the end with all his furry friends. I won't say what happens at the end of the game, but none of this should be spoilers to anyone, considering the game was made in 1999 and it's widely known you can get endings with all the characters, not just between the main character and the playable ones, but between playable characters too. I love Dias and Welch's ending. It's so funny. XD!

And it means I got to listen to all their voices, including the evil Lucifer and awesome Welch. Did I mention I love Welch?

Ten Wise Men...
I know I played it in Easy mode (you don't have a choice until you complete the game at least once) but Gabriel and Lucifer were really easy compared to 2 of the other Wise Men. The first 3 were okay, and you have to fight the second three together (even so it's quite easy). But the 2 wise men before Lucifer and Gabriel were SO irritating. It took me 6 do-overs to win. I had to equip Flare Rings to everyone to stop the fire spells of doom, and accessories to prevent petrification. Even then they can easily pin you down. What I'm going to do next is start a game in Galaxy mode with Claude. Then when I finish that I'll decide whether to play Universe mode with Claude or Rena. I like Claude better actually. ^__^

I found these on CDJapan here and was so excited to buy them. I was waiting until payday to snap them up, but the preorder deadline was too soon and I missed out on them. I found some on playasia.com, which I once used to buy my Hana Kimi photo album, so I hope they will arrive. Just for those of you interested, here's what they look like...



2. Anji, Orion and Ginge came round yesterday, it was nice to see them!

3. On a whim I bought a CD single from CDJapan. It wasn't a random purchase, because one of the songs on it is a theme song from Layton and the Eternal Diva movie which I hope's coming out here in the UK soon. It has some nice free stickers with it too.

Poor Donna (my co-worker) has a nasty virus. Which means I will be covering the rest of the week as well. In all that's 3 extra shifts, which means I should be able to buy that adorable Pucca alarm clock from ebay. I worked 5 days last week (monday and saturday off) and will be working 7 days this week. I think all this working alone as the cleaner/laundrette has been getting to me, because I may have snapped a couple of times today. But each time I apologize quickly. I'm only stressed out because things that I shouldn't have to worry about make things more difficult for me. Today I came in and there was no laundry powder. A laundrette with no laundry powder is like a car with no fuel. I walked pass the boss-lady to tell her that I only had one scoop left. Then, a minute later, I walked back to tell her I had none. I think she took the hint, because within 5 minutes she was out the door to do the shopping.

And after a lot of procrastinating and stressing, my shift was finally over. Phew. =3
I have relaxed further this afternoon by having 2 cookies and a pot of chocolate mousse.

So far today:

Bowl of Cereals: 250 calories
Chicken Pasta Salad- 225 calories
Pack of sun bites crisps and chip-sticks- 300 calories
2 cookies- 104 calories
pot of chocolate mousse- 105 calories

Total so far: 984/1500 calories
_{Now all I have to eat is dinner and I've completed another day of physical exercise and eating only what I need.}

And I ate my cookies and mousse whilst reading some of the Star Trek graphic novel that arrived today. It's of the original series (Kirk, Spock and McCoy) and only cost me £5 free delivery from America! It's so beautiful with 120+ full colour glossy pages. In between each chapter is a page with a full-colour illustration on either side. The first side is by the artist who did the previous chapter. The second is by the artist who did the amazing life-like front cover. It really is a brilliant graphic novel, with humour, sci-fi and intriguing stories. I'm half way through it right now.

I am really looking forward to getting paid again!! This extra work will all be worth it, as I'll be paid for 21 shifts and can buy my christmas presents and pay rent comfortably now.

Now if you excuse me, I'm going to disable the 'watch' I have on a certain artist's journal. Why? Just because I like their art, doesn't mean I like their views or whining about my favourite programme. It seems every Saturday when I finish watching Merlin, I log on to update and have to see the header of their journal whining about the show in some way or another.

What was wrong with this week's episode? It was lovely. >___> I'm in a bit of a pissy mood right now. Better log off and sleep it off. After I wait for those clothes to dry.

Firstly, isn't this an adorable website??? They have some stationary and stickers which I'd love to buy. Oh yes, MrsNox loves her cute things too. I used their cute free wallpaper as a desk-top background, finally usurping the AlbelxFayt one by ~zenphoenixa. This is their deviantart page. I seriously have no money left now. Paypal are taunting me by taking forever to take all my money out of my account. It's been much longer than a week and some transactions show up as "completed" but my account balance still reads £70. Either Paypal haven't done what they say they have, or Natwest haven't updated my account with new information yet.

It's SATURDAY people! And what does this mean??? MERLIN is here again! This week apparently Merlin will meet a mysterious girl. The same one from the season 2 trailer he is seen kissing-! Why do I get the feeling all will end in tears? Merlin's tears, to be precise. I am really looking forward to it, regardless. I've been sitting here on the internet with the DS9 disk ready in the DVD player, and the intro screen has been playing over and over. XD! Will I ever get round to watching it???

Yesterday Mum and I watched Children in Need until about midnight. The best part in my opinion was the 'Merlin Mini Episode' the cast did. Do I link too much? There was also a great Dr Who Mini as well. Mum gave £10 via the internet. Or rather, I asked her if I could do it and she agreed. I said £5 would be from me and when I pay her rent she will get it back. That's all for now I think. I'd better watch DS9, or the 5 second intro at the start menu is going to be embossed onto my brain and I'll think it's the background music of my life.

It's Wednesday and I'm not at work?! I usually work on Wednesdays, but not anymore. Francis (the lady who comes to help Donna and I once a week) asked me if it was alright to work Monday instead of Wednesday, so she could have Mondays off. I agreed, so here I am. It's like when I first started work! 2 days off one week, 4 days off the next, and so on. It means next week I have three days off in a row. Anyway, I just want to get one more thing out of the way before I continue...

I bought some Star Ocean fan-made things from and they arrived today just moments after I started taking a break from SO2.

_{This is a Star Ocean doujinshi which you can buy from her website. I recommend this highly to SO2 fans. There's quite a lot of SO3 stuff in there, but mostly it's the cast of SO2.}

2. Star Ocean FD Keychains 2009.
_{These are really cute! It's Ratix, Milly, Ronixis and Iria from SO1!}

3. Keychain collection 2008.
_{I bought Claude and Rena in the bottom right hand corner. All the keychains are about 3" and come in pairs. They are adorable.}

She also gave me what I'm sure she regards as a little "calling card", with a profile sketch of Albel thanking me for making my purchase... but it's so gorgeous! It's going with all my SO Trading Cards. She's a really good artist and has some excellent Star Ocean artworks in her gallery (for those of you not already watching her page like hawks). JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

Unintentionally I've had a week off work. I won't be getting paid for it because it's not holiday, but I had last weekend off and on mon+tues I felt sick. Because one of my co-workers asked to work mondays instead of me, I've also had the three days off after that too. So even though I ony had two days off sick, I've had 7 days out of work (granted 5 of them were normal days off). The last few days I've been pretty depressed, and I can think of a few reasons why (not being at work definitely NOT being one of them) but at least I was able to stay in and watch some Star Trek Voyager. I'm leaving the last disk of season 2 until I buy season 3. The season ends in a cliff-hanger "part 1" episode, and I am NOT waiting till I can afford the third season to get "part 2". XD!

Merlin is on yet again tomorrow! The last episode was quite disgusting! XD! But very funny as well.

And now on to the big news: ALBEL NOX PLUSHIE!

I ordered one at last! It will be the same size as the Deviant Fellah plushie, and made for me by . I am really psyched I finally got one of their slots! And they acknowledged the fact that I'm not from the US so they let me pay by Paypal too. They are really friendly an accommodating. And best of all, REALLY tallented at making plushies. =3 They will do his rat-tails, neck bracer and claw as part of the $60, but to get a crimson scourge made will cost an extra $5. Because I thought all their slots had been used up, I spent my money on x-mas gifts and Star Trek DVDs. But Dad has kindly let me borrow the £45 (including shipping) for what will be an epic plushie, I'm sure. _{I read a journal that said the word 'epic' was overused, but do I care? EPIC, EPIC, EPIC, EPIC!!! Nope.} If all goes well and I'm lucky enough to get another slot from them, they can expect a Fayt plushie request. Or maybe I should be adventurous and ask for a charcter from SO1. To my knowledge, no one has done a plushie of the adorable Featherfolk Joshua, or the mega-awesome Welch. o.0 WELCH PLUSHIE! Sorry, my own brain just exploded at how cool that would be! Especially if they did her hand-wand thing.

I was very careful to show pictures of what kind of eyes and expression I wanted, and gave them plenty of reference pictures. So I am really really really excited about it.

And lastly, I am currently playing SO2 in English, and made a discovery that I have mixed feelings about. I'm pretty sure the voice of Claude is also the voice of Son Goku from Dragonball Z. It's alright, and suits him from the perspective of him being Ilia's son. Ilia also has a deep, strong voice. But to me, the character Claude should have a young but light voice. Some of the voice acting is questionable, and it's funny because the English voice-acting in SO1, SO3 and SO4 never really bothered me (except Farleen-- x__X). It's still pretty cool, and I have a plan to get all the characters in only two play-throughs.

That's all really. I feel like I should link my christmas list, just in case family members say they can't find it.

It's 4.34pm in the United Kingdom/ Great Britain.

I never updated about the fireworks, did I? There was some trouble on the way there because the road signs from last year were still up, so we were being pointed in the direction of the wrong car park. Doh! There we were in a long traffic queue, wondering what the hold-up was, when all along it was because people were being turned away and redirected. And the right car park was about 15 minutes walking distance away, well it felt like it because I had a cramp. XD! We even walked pass the first car park to get to the field. S.T.U.P.I.D. Anyhoo... my nephew Orion did NOT enjoy the fireworks. They were too loud and noisy for him, since he's only 4. Dad took him away from the noise on the other side of the field, but apparently it didn't work. Maybe next year he will appreciate them more. But I thought they were awesome. They were backed up by a number of musical scores:

Spiderman
Harry Potter
Star Wars
The Lion King
And other great songs.

Orion went on a couple of rides and hooked a ducky to win a little dog he named Scruffy. And Dad bought him a light-saber, which is conveniently still in our house.

I have been waiting 30 days at least for two items. A pair of shoes from Hong Kong, which have a tracking number. I contacted the Royal Mail International Department and they said it had not entered the country yet, so I contacted the seller and asked them to contact their postal service, since it should have arrived by now. I did pay for registered airmail, which normally takes 1-2 weeks. If it hasn't even arrived in the country yet then there's a problem. The other parcel was posted from within the UK, and contains 5 Professor Layton straps. They are confirmed as being posted but no one knows where they are. So I have contacted the seller and asked them to claim compensation for them, since it was registered/recorded.

Today my beautiful DBZ female figurines arrived. Bulma #1 is wearing a bunny suit and Bulma #2 is wearing her classic explorer's outfit. I also got young-adult Chichi in her purple dress with her hair down. They are each 15-20cm tall. And... DISSIDIA ARRIVED! YEEEEES! Now I can play as Cecil! All the characters of the Final Fantasy games in a fighting game WITH story arcs? Brilliant. Flare sings the game's praises, so it must be excellent. I can't wait.

The only downers for today are that my 'time of the month' began today. It's usually painful, and heavy, but today it was REALLY painful. I was working at a snail's pace, which IS a contrast to the norm, thank you. >___> Francis will be helping me tomorrow, so I can make up for it then. Francis asked to work tomorrow and thought she was replacing me on my shift so I could "have another day off". But I was quick to tell the boss-lady that I didn't want that day off. I asked Fransis to cover Monday because then I would have 1 day off inbetween the 8 days working alone. I've done 8 days in a row on my own for work before, and no one thanked me/helped me and it was really stressful. So that's why I wanted that monday covered. But I won't have people swapping me out of my shifts just 2 days in advance, without asking if I want the day off. I can't lose out on £35 for no reason. If Francis wants to work, she can, but not at my expense.

Just about to have dinner. Fred, Anji and Orion are here and tonight we're going out to the Naval Sultan Show, with fireworks and a bonfire. It'll be the first major outing since my holiday began. Considering this is the last night of my holiday, I find that quite amusing. Tomorrow I'm back to work, but I've had a relaxing time. I've watched House episodes with Mum and Star Trek episodes from various series. And I've basically been relaxed.

Dinner turned out to be pizza. >=3 Excellent.
Not so much for my diet.

Anyway, I hope everyone else is alright.

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

But today my Dad ran 10 Miles! He's raised over £300 for charity in the Great South Run.
He was brilliant, and I just want to say WELL DONE DAD!

My new card arrived yesterday. It is still a debit card, which means I can't spend or draw out money I don't have. But it's also a VISA, which hopefully means I can use it online on websites that do not accept Solo Debit cards. I might try it out to get a subscription to OtakuUSA. Today I went out for half an hour to town just to get some food, and on the way back I happened upon a football match on the park. I stayed until one side scored. And for the rest of the day I've watched 4 classic Star Trek episodes. I only have 5 episodes of the original series left now. I know they've remade it into remastered sets, but I'm glad I watched them as they were created, so I know I appreciate them even without special effects.

I have also watched Superman 2 and am watching Men in Black 1 right now with my Dad.

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

I know the last couple of days have been bad luck for me, what with losing my cash card and washing machines at work breaking. But I couldn't care less now. ^___^ I'm on annual leave, which means I don't have to go to work for 7 DAYS!

Yesterday after getting home I sat down to watch Star Trek Voyager when someone knocked on the door. It was a bloke from a charity with a couple of trainees. I explained I'd just been to work and wanted to watch my favourite programme, and he said he'd only be a minute, but he ended up talking to me for 15 minutes! I don't mind, because he was really friendly, but he assumed I was older than I am. That hasn't been a problem since I turned 21, but apparently you need to be 25 to give to their charity via credit card- or something like that. Thus there he was talking away to me, wittling away the Star Trek episode, when all along I couldn't help them anyway. He later on said that he would call back when my parents were in, but he never came back. How annoying. >___>

Oh well.

Also on the way back from work, I retrieved the parcel waiting for me at the Coop. It was House Season 1, with Hugh Laurie. While Dad was having a bath (he says he doesn't like Hugh Laurue) Mum and I watched the Pilot. And about 3 hours later we had watched the whole of disc one. XD! It's a really fun series, propelled forwards by this niggling human desire to see how much of a jackass House can be before deciding to show a modicum of sensitivity. I also like Cuddy and Wilson. Actually I like everyone except House's students/worker bees. They annoy me. XD!

Nothing else to report really. Virgin 1 (a TV channel) shows about 3 episodes of Star Trek per day. >=3 It's brilliant. ^___^ I'm just about to watch Voyager with CAPTAIN JANEWAY. She rulz.

What a crappy weekend. First of all, Merlin was cancelled yesterday. They replaced it with the Grand Prix (racing) qualifier! Not even the race itself, but the qualifying round. It wasn't even worth it in the end, because the qualifier was delayed due to rain. >___> The BBC said there will be a double-bill of Merlin in two parts and THAT was why it had been held off. But if they expect me to believe that backwards logic, then they've got another thing coming. The reason Merlin wasn't on was NOT because "it was in two parts that needed to be shown together". If the Grand Prix wasn't on they would've put Merlin on this week- to make fans wait in anticipation for the next episode (after whatever cliffhanger the next episode has). I know this because with every other show they always do this. *sighs*

And today, one of the two washing machines I use at work was still out of service. You're supposed to be able to put it on a hot wash like the other one, but for some reason whenever you do it stops working. It's really easy to push the wrong button, but this is the first time I did it. I put it on a hot wash yesterday by accident, and today it was still broken even though the owner of the home had been in. He had apparently just gone to the kitchen and then left half an hour later without checking to see if everything was alright! And today I had to do the washing that had piled up since I left, and the washing that was coming in as I was on. I managed to make sure I did enough towels, flannels and sheets, which requires great organisation and planning when you only have one machine, but.

Apparently it's not broken. But in my mind, if a washing machine stops working if you put it on one particular wash, it is BROKEN. It's no good saying 'just don't put it on that wash then'. That's like telling someone with a sore throat to "just not swallow". Well I was so disheartened that I was seeing crap wherever I went. There must be at least one maintenance issue in EVERY ROOM in that place. It's rediculous. And even though I was having such a shit time, that didn't stop the chef telling me I needed to find her some table cloths for a birthday party. When I said I didn't know where they were because Donna usually gets them, she looked angry at me! I am also angry at the female owner because she just left the preperations for the party to the chef, like setting up the room. Which meant the chef was irritable with the carers, or at least trying to get them to do lots of stuff even though there were only three carers and one nurse and me in.

Anyhoo. Donna is on tomorrow. The boss-lady once again did my rosta/rota only 2 days in advance on a day I wasn't on. Thus she has tried to give me 6 days in a row before my holiday. Considering I'm already doing 8 days in a row alone after my holiday, it won't feel like much of a rest if I have two weeks before and after with no days off. People are entitled to holidays, they shouldn't have to "make up for it" by doing twice as many shifts with no days off around it. Especially not since I have agreed to cover all the days of Donna's holiday. I may or may not get a call tomorrow depending what the boss-lady says about it, but I left a note in the rosta to say I changed the days. Considering last month she didn't even bother to do my rota (I had to do it) and this month she left it till the last possible moment, she shouldn't have anything to say about it. I usually have Monday off anyway, and she either knows it but is a dunce, or just likes making me worry. >___>

And now... I'm going to schedule my parcel to be redelivered. Lets see if they bother delivering it again this time.

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

I can't believe that in the last day and a quarter I have travelled to South Wales and back again, that's over 250 miles! And though that seem like a short time, the amount of things we did and places we visited made the journey full, eventful and FUN! I went to South Wales with my Mother to visit my Nana and Grandad Norman. Their house is in Caerleon, Newport and the atmosphere is beautiful. The height of the sloping roads and valleys in the distance is second only to the river and the giant Roman wall circling a huge portion of the Welsh town. We stayed at the Holiday Inn, off the motorway about 6 miles away from my Grandparent's house. We were in room 100, which was really nice. It had a TV in it too- with a channel where everyone spoke in Welsh! (That's another thing about Wales- everything is in two languages, particually the road signs and markings on the road. Araf, for example, is Welsh for Slow! XD!) The only annoying thing about our stay was my inability to use the card-key to enter our room.

The hotel we were in was really homely, with friendly staff. After popping in to see Nana and Grandad, we were quick to check in to our room. And after settling in, we went down to the bar for a drink and chat. Back in our room, we phoned room service! My first time doing it, though it was expensive, but the presented food was taasty. Including ice-cream and garlic bread. Hehehe. I thought it would be uncomfortable sleeping away from home but it was fine. I actually woke up at about 6am and listened to my mp3 player for an hour while trying to lay in. It's kind of hard when your room mate SNORES.

Instead of going straight to Nana's again, we went for a look round Caerleon, and we took some photos which I can now report I am able to upload- but more about that laterz! The Roman wall around the town is SO tall and winds round a lot. It's actually part of the town, with some houses being made out of part of it. So i's not a piddly foot high wall that's only two meters long. XD! Some ruins are like that. The Post Office sold a multitude of goodies... and I actually bought a lot on this journey!

Services on the way to South Wales:

Two large ones for Nana and Grandad in punk clothes. And two mini ones for Flare and her sister. They are both different, so they can choose which they like.
Offical Nintendo Magazine.
It had a free DS 'sock' inside, which is what it says on the tin. A material DS shaped sock to semi-protect your DS. I bought it for the Layton review, but there was an extra section of Layton at the back, so in all there were 5 pages full of Layton goodness! AND THAT'S NOT ALL! There was a seperate little Professor Layton A5 booklet included in the sealed magazine. It's about 6-8 pages long jam packed with pictures and narrative. It was a brilliant surprise considering I had no way of telling it was in the mag.

Charity Shop:
Found an orange bag. Very nice, brand new. £4. Bought it.

We didn't really communicate much when I was little and he seemed really serious back then. But today he was jovial and nice, and I think maybe when I was little I was just a bit intimidated. I didn't have much to say, but it was nice to see him, and Mum was happy to see her little brother. JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

My Nana lives in Wales, and I'm going to see her. It's my first time out of England in more than 3 years! Granted I'll only be gone for 2 days, but it will be nice to see Nana and Grandad. Last week my sister went with my Mum, Dad and nephew Orion to see my Grandparents but I couldn't go because I was at work, so Mum arranged for me and her to go for the next couple of days. We'll be staying at a hotel and I have prepared all my things, including my DS with the charger and a fully charged MP3 player. Don't worry, I've also packed clothes and toiletries. XD! Like I'd forget. >.>

I'm still waiting on my new shoes to arrive from China and my Layton charms to arrive from England. If they still haven't arrived by the time I get back on Friday afternoon I'll start getting angsty. Hey-! By the time I get back it will nearly be time for another episode of Merlin! It seems like only yesterday I watched episode 4! =3 That's it time, swallow up all my working days quickly and get the ball rolling for my holiday!

I'll probably watch 'Dune' again (damn I love that film). Apparently I'll need to buy the first 'Frank Herbert's: Dune Mini TV Series' before I can watch the 'Children of Dune Mini TV Series' I bought. Chronological order and all that. =wazabees is the one who told me how great the original film was some time ago when we sat round to watch it together. I remember it was a day or two after Michael Jackson died, because 'Dune' was showing after the Michael Jackson film. I didn't even know there was a film with him in but it was the weirdest thing ever. Anyway, after it showed, 'Dune' was on and I loved it.

The Professor Layton watches seem very far away right now. The seller responded very nicely as usual, but the watches they saw were over 16000YEN and that's without shipping costs. I agreed that it would be better to leave it for a few months to see if they could find a cheaper set. At least in the mean time I can save up some money.

Anyway, that's all I wanted to say.

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

Currently eating breakfast. Yesterday I bought a pack of Nature Valley Bars and a pack of Yoghurt Breaks. I wrote my name on every side of the box so people know they are mine. Not so they can't eat one, but so that if there's only one left, I am taken into consideration since I bought them for work. Also, they are nice foods to have on my diet/healthy eating plan. Having said that, they haven't had those nice tubs of freshly made food in the Co-op recently. My favourite is the penne pasta in tomato-basil sauce with chicken pieces, baby tomatoes and lettuce. It's only about 1.2g sat fat. ^__^

Whoa, 3 Merlin epsiodes have come and gone. Episode 4 is on TV tonight! Only when it's over, I hope I don't have to wait a whole year for season 3 to come out... if there is one I mean. ^-^ But with steady 6 million viewers per episode so far (sometimes more) there will be, I'm sure.

Posties going on strike apparently. Which means delays in things I buy getting to me. SIGH. We have some really nice posties, but a couple of them are annoying. One of them folds large letter envelopes with magazines in them to fit them through the letterbox. When I used to buy doujinshi frequently I'd worry all the time that this mystery postman would bend one of them too. Do the words 'DO NOT BEND' mean nothing anymore? And even though there is a notice on the door asking them to leave parcels at the garage opposite us if they are allowed to, some posties still just leave the parcel outside my door, either 'hidden' behind the wheelie bin or once when I found a parcel on our doorstep. Thanks postie. Way to advertise my things to opportunist thieves walking by our house. >___> And of course, for letting my parcels get wet all day while I and everyone else in my family is at work. Which also happened.



I learnt yesterday that a bag is useless unless you can stand it getting a little wet. I am talking about my new quilted union jack bag. I took it to work yesterday morning and the weather was quite nice. But at the end of the day it started to rain and so I had to take everything out of it, put it in a plastic bag and tie it up. Luckily I usually only have my purse, keys and a hairbrush in my bags, no matter how big they are. It was just funny that I was reluctant to get my bag wet so I had to put it in another bag. XD! Or perhaps a little sad?

I have today and tomorrow off and then I can't remember whether I also have Monday off. I'll have to ring up work about it today. I think my parents are going to Bournemouth today to pick up my Dad's new motorbike. It's the same kind he had before with no ABS, but this time he will be going slowly. I know my Dad reads this, so I'll use the word again. Slowwwwly!

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

Quick news:

1. Donna is the other cleaner who works with me, and her daughter has been trying for a baby with her wife. They managed to get a sperm donor and Donna's daughter became pregnant! Today half way through the shift, Donna got the call that her daughter's water had broken! Donna didn't want to go to the hospital until her daughter started having the baby, and also couldn't get there until her daughter-in-law's mother came to get her. She finally shot off to the QA to be there for her grandchild's birth! Considering all I ever seem to hear is about people slamming lesbian couples for wanting to get married and have children and a family, knowing someone directly doing these things despite what everyone else said made me really happy. Not to mention the fact that both women involved had parents who were ecstatic they had gotten married and were having a child. I even forgave Donna for hitting me because I was swearing too much. I do try not to swear.

2. Today at work I wanted a change. I always work upstairs when Donna is in. I clean all the rooms and then come back when I am on my own the day after only to see a complete mess. So I asked Donna if it would be alright to work downstairs. I did the laundry and cleaned all of downstairs today, and it was a nice change. The only hiccup was when a carer accidently dropped a tray with two plates of food on it. I brushed the food up and shampooed the carpet to clean it. But it was okay. A certain carer is still going on about their hurt foot and has finally (3 weeks after the event) decided to go to the hospital/doctor with it. She's acting like I left the shampooer there on purpose. >___> I wish I had now. Okay, not really.

3. My quilted bag arrived! It is a UNION JACK HAND MADE QUILTED BAG! Only the red cross and blue cross are in red and blue tartan, which means the bag isn't a shocking union jack colour, but instead more subtle pretty colours. It is beautiful.

4. I asked a seller I trust to find me an item. It's a Professor Layton Pocket Watch. I've bought from them before and they're very good. When they asked for pictures of the item I replied saying I had found the item on ebay already. I linked them to the page. The only problem buying the item I found is I suspect the other seller is comitting postage fraud because they want you to pay for ALL the postage costs of 7 indivudually sold items and only give you a 20% discount on that. This is not the ACTUAL cost of postage. So if I wanted to buy the Layton figures from them seperately for £12 each (and Jesus that is a LOT just by itself) I would be paying for 7x postage at £6- which means I would be paying over £36 for uninsured postage. I mean jesus, what's he adding in the package- letters?!?! If you are confused, yesterday I was told by Royal Mail that my package would cost twice as much to post because there were letters inside. I ended up spending £25 to post it first class 3-5 days delivery. Anyway! Theoretically, with the postage of the 7 figures being £36 and the figures being £84, I would have to pay £110+ for 7 mini figures which are only 2" tall each. JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

Firstly, look at the cute header!! I comissioned this sketch from ~Nightroad-Abel for $7, and decided it was so adorable I would use it as my Journal Header. I haven't put a month on there because it's so cute I want to keep it as a journal header for much longer than a month. What I like about it is that I asked for Albel and Fayt with cute kitty ears, but didn't want Albel to be too soft looking. Here he is adorably deadly! And Fayt looks like he is in a fit of giggles, which is awesome! Do not use or take this image please.

Anyway. I was paid yesterday, which meant I was able to send off two penpal letters. I had to put customs declarations on them because they look like tiny packets and they have a couple of small gifts in them each. I am still waiting for the black cat wishing box for *Flare-Haynekie, I consider it a present to conrgatulate her on passing her exams with flying colours! NICE ONE FLARE!!!

I've finally bought Star Ocean Second Evolution in English. I had been playing SO2 to try and beat the PS1 version first, but I see the benefit of playing the new version and saving my precious SO2 discs. And I finally bought the large set of posable Edge and Reimi figures from Star Ocean 4. They were just under £30.00 each and then the price dropped to £24.99 from Play.com but THEN price dropped to £18 each. It seems fair since the delivery is free.
I also found a pair of boots like the ones pictured in this journal entry. The differences? The new ones are ankle boots, they have no zip up the side and they are rounded not pointed at the toes. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: THEY ARE FLAT, SO NO HEELS! So basically, I was attracted to the colour and type of lace used on the old pair, but found a more suitable style. I still like the old ones because of the lace-holes and height of the leg on the shoe, but I can't be wearing them. I'll wear these new ones though, since they are both attractive and are a more comfortable fit.

That's all really. I have today and tomorrow off because of a swapped shift Donna asked me to do. I should've had yesterday and today off. But I worked yesterday so Donna could have the day off and in return she is working this Saturday for me. This means I will have the whole day off for when Merlin Episode 3 comes on TV! JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

I slept in until 11.30am today. THE SHAME!

But I made up for it. I went out with the £7 my mother gave me to buy some food. I have a baguette, a pack of tuna-pasta salad for dinner, and a pack of chicken-pasta for work tomorrow. I'm grateful she gave me the money, because I have but £2.80 in the bank, most of which will go to the WWF charity. But for the last time, as I cancelled my direct debit payment to them. I've learnt that I prefer to give to charity when I have change and not via card, so I'm not worrying whether I'm going to go overdrawn- because I'm not good at keeping money in my account. If at a later date I do decide to give money to charity via direct debit again, I would give it to the NSPCC (childen's charity) and/or the RSPCA (abandoned pets and injured wild animals in Britain charity).

I love that story on the front page of the RSPCA website about the cat rescued from the roof, especially the photo. XD! I don't imagine the fire service in the area would have responded if there was a fire somewhere or something more urgent, so it's okay. But at least the cat in question is okay now. And it's great to know that no cat or animal is overlooked- or underlooked, in this case. May cats EVERYWHERE be as lucky! And also, in other great cat news, *dracostarhome's cat Hallow luckily came out of surgery well. I was really worried about her in particular, but she doesn't have to be put down and has the bestest friend a cat could ask for a friend/sister in *dracostarhome.

Facebook hasn't been working all day.

And I am stuck for the first time on Legacy of Ys. I am annoyed that the first 90% of the game was bloody easy, and now the last 10% is this stupid tower. The bosses and monsters aren't hard, but the stupid requirements for passing each level are. >___> It's like they suckered me into a growing sense of security and numbed my RPG senses with the easiness. And now they've ambushed me at the last hurdle with yet ANOTHER typical RPG tower.
Achem. Minirant over. I'll wait a bit and try it again later.

Momentarily I was excited about going with my parents to Wales to see my Grandparents, but I'm working. I know I always cover shifts for Donna when she asks, but I don't feel comfortable asking her. And I think (though the reception was crap) Anji said she was going now anyway. So there wouldn't be room. But it's okay, it means I have the house to myself. And I won't be panicking every second about Carnie and Albel left on their own either in the house or feeling abandoned in some cattery (not that I think owners who leave cats in cattery's are bad, I just worry myself).


Professor Layton Merchandice I've found so far:


1. Tea Time with Layton.

Similar to puzzles in the game where you must move objects around like rubbish and balls and cars to get to a destination even though there are objects in the way.

Hand held square board, 6"x6", with little 4 figures of Layton, Luke, the hamster and the parrot. Under each figure in the corners are images. Each character starts off on a different image. Inside the board is a central square block with a teapot and 4 oblong blocks with various images on them. The task is to match the figures to the images by moving them around the obstacles and ultimately, over the matching image of them.

Another day out??? I'm beginning to make a habit of this. Apparently, Dad hasn't been to Fareham in ages, and neither have I. We must have looked around for ages. The best shop today was the bookshop, as I was looking at some Discworld and LOTR sketchbooks. They didn't have a very good selection of manga or graphic novels. Only a few gems, and the rest were Tokyopop franchises with 30+ volumes or Batman/Wolverine graphic novels. I've nothing against them, but they stock up on the most popular grpahic novels like that only because of the Batman/ Wolverine films. No Manhua whatsoever. >___> But a special edition of the Star Trek manga. The bad thing in that shop is that they put all the copies of one book out on the shelves, so if idiots ruin the books, there are no nice new copies. There was a large score on the back of the Star Trek book, and a bend in the LOTR sketchbook.

Dad's mission was to find curtains. I have to report that he failed in this mission, but we did look at some nifty motorbikes in the garage downtown- he might need to buy one if his bike is unsalvagable. On the way back we went into LIDL and got some 24p Paracetamol behind a woman with 100 items. XD! We only wanted one little tub of meds, but she was first, so. ^-^ There's no '9 items or less' in LIDL. There was a wedding taking place at the church on the way back to the main shopping area and Dad and I also almost got run over-! For some reason when the traffic stops to the right, the opposite traffic is allowed to go. I thought if the traffic horizontally stops, the traffic on the vertical cross is allowed to go? Or maybe the guy to our right was just letting us pass when a driver ran through the intersection/crossection at like 50mph.

There was a cute shop selling various Pagan items in it, but I wanted to go in because the other sign said there were collectables in there. I ended up finding a nice wish box ornament. The whole thing is about 5", but most of the height is on the lid, as the box is quite small and holds a little scroll to put your wish in. The ornament lid on the wish box I picked out was a black cat wearing a black wizard's hat sitting partly on top of a spellbook. It's really cute. When I get paid I'm going back to find another one, or one of the dragon ones for *Flare-Haynekie. Which one would you want, if I could choose???

On the way back to the car we grabbed a jacket potato each at a cafe in the cascades. For some reason they had run out of baguettes on a Saturday. Doi. Oh-! I also bought a clicky box and some brown wrapping paper for Flare's package. And I've done ~Rursus and ~Akira-Yamato's letters. So yes, it was a really good day out with my Dad.

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

British/ London Time: 5.45pm

Firstly, check out my awesome new webcam! I absolutely love it! I didn't make it of course, but I have properly credited and linked the maker. And if you don't mind, it would still be interesting to hear where the footage was from. I've watched all the video diaries I could find, but didn't see that. It's bloody amazing.

Anyway, Dad liked his birthday presents. The WiiSports Resort is great. I thought I would like the table-tennis best, but I actually like the cycling game and swordplay game the best. I'm at the point in swordfighting now where I just bash at the enemy when they break their guard and/or go dizzy and rush them off the platform. It's brilliant fun. Still no sign of Dad's computer, so I still can't access any of my art or documents. There's a long list of level giving in the BPMs to do. But Dad has been downloading some games for me:

1. Professor Layton 2
I love it. End of.

2. 100 Classical Books Collection.
Enjoyable- most are anyway. Try as I might, I still hate Pride and Prejudice.

3. The World Ends with You.
Not enjoying it. *brick'd* My eyes hurt from looking at the screen while playing it, and the annoying tapping and scratching required to play it is putting me off. And yes, I know you can control another character at the top of the screens with buttons, but it's pants. I like the concept of the story, and the art is gorgeous, but it's just not enough to get me through more than the opening gameplay, though I did beat the first couple of bosses before getting bored.

4. Devil Survivor (aka Persona 5 for the DS).
It's in Japanese, so I only played a bit to see what the battle system and graphics were like. The graphics are really cute and the battle system is pretty simple. And levelling up is fun too. I will definitely get this in English, as I'm not one of those people that would play a game in Japanese knowing nothing that was being said.


A day out with Mum.

Had a great day out with Mum today. Went into a store to buy cereals and ended up coming out with a little storage unit to slot next to the breadbin for all the crap that gets left on the side in the kitchen. Also we got a couple of special placemats with 'bumper-like' edges so cat food stays within the place-mat. We definitely need one of those for Albel. *sighs* It seems to be working so far. They are shaped like fish, and we got pink and blue ones. You know... pink for Carnie and blue for Albel. Yes, because we're that bloody steriotypical (I think it's cute).
That store was very annoying... well, not the store itself, but a shopper in the store. An old lady in a four wheeled mobility scooter which kept BEEPING loudly every 2 seconds. I felt like I was back at Northcott House with those damned beepers in people's rooms which rang all about the home and constantly gave me headaches. >__> I did help her pick up her change though, because I'm a sap clearly.

So we looked around for a bit, going into clothes shops and stuff. I am wearing the half-price brown trousers Mum bought me for £6. Because she is very nice. They're very comfy, and I also have two very long night-dresses. There's a cafe round the back of the shops where we went to eat, which is themed very nicely as 1950s+ and has a grandfather clock and a hat stand, various photos and postcards and a victorian-like clock. The food was okay, though for a weird reason one spot in my Jacket potato was freezing. Maybe it was butter? It tasted like ice!

Start of Original Post...

This morning I watched Animal Rescue with my mother, when shortly afterwards, an advert came on for Merlin. This one to be exact. Only the advert I watched confirmed the time and date of the first episode, rather than just saying it was 'Coming Soon'. It will start this Saturday at 6.40pm- on BBC1! I just hope they recognize how popular it is and stop pushing the times of it back and fourth because of programmes like 'Strictly Come Dancing' like they did last year. I am sick of programmes like that, and don't see why they should impede on a regular time slot for what I think is the best thing to come onto British TV for a long time.

Still, I am dancing in my Queen shirt!
Episode 1 looks amazing, with I think another evil sorcerer to give magic users in Camelot a bad name. And, you know, like... try to destroy the kingdom.

2. Health and Safety course PASSED!

I was worried I had submitted Unit 4 too late, about a week after the deadline. But during this whole course I have only received 1 bit of communication from the college, and that was to tell me they were running behind on marking the coursework. So I figured it might be okay sending Unit 4 late. I received feedback for my first 3 units about a month ago, and I received feedback for the last unit TODAY. In which it told me I had also passed Unit 4! Makes me feel good that even though I didn't carry on to uni, I can still manage a course on my own. My manager told me before I started that she would be doing it too, which wasn't true. She said that I didn't have to worry about it and could just copy from other people and not think. JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

Today I went to see G.I Joe with Dad. It was unplanned. We firstly wanted to go out and stopped off at Staples to buy some supplies and look at the computer desks. And then at Gunwharf in Portsmouth we casually walked into the cinema to see what was on. There were some good things being advertised, like "Cloudy, with a chance of meatballs", and "The Last Airbender", but we had said we wanted to see G.I Joe last time we were at the cinema, so we paid for tickets to see that.

The film was very good I think. I liked the concept of the weapons that can chew through metal. And I like anything with Dennis Quaid in it. XD! But I also grew to like the actors who at first seemed uncharismatic. Especially the lead. Perhaps that was intentional. But after the scenes of them training with the Joes I think my mind began to change. And there were some pretty cool action scenes and funny one-liners as well. What did I like about the film? I liked how the relationship between the female G.I Joe and the friend of Duke developed. I really liked Rex and his scenes. And the evil doctor, mwahaha. No spoilers there. >=3 I'm not sure why the only two females who fight in the film had to have a cat-fight. That always seems to happen. I think it would be nice to see a woman fighting a man for a change in an action film. What I liked best in the film were the scenes with the two children in the flashbacks to Japan. Not so much their older selves, but the scene of them meeting and growing up together, and learning how to fight. For little kids, they sure can kick ass! I think their backstory could be a whole film of it's own. A young delinquent and stray child acting as a thief being taken in to a family dojo by the kindness of the master's heart and causing the other student to develop serious issues of jealousy and rivalry? I like that.

What I am dying to see is "The Last Airbender". That looks brilliant!
I really should buy the animes of that already! XD!

Looking around Gunwharf with Dad was really fun. I got some more postcards for Flare, and some freebies at the cinema. And we looked at overpriced bags/watches/clothes. A trio of musicians were playing in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. We both gave them some money, because nurses are great and do a fantastic job. There's a new shop in Gunwharf which sells Japanese brand name clothes. Not many are over size 14 I don't think, but I just window shopped because I have no money. In The Works I looked through a "The Beatles" photo book, and then we tried (but failed) to find some trainers in Dad's size. Doh. Well, apart from pink ones.

The cafe we went into was very nice, I feel I'll be repeating what I just wrote in Flare's letter, but I had garlic bread, jacket potato with cheese + beans and fresh orange juice. We had nice seats, though they were very tall so I had to stand on the windowsil to get up onto one. And OMG. The toilets at Gunwharf are very nice. Not like public toilets usually are (cold and dirty). They had nice clean cubicals, posh looking hand soap AND moisteriser. And a really fast modern hand drying device where you put your hands down into the machine and it blows really pressured hot air onto your hands. It's not one of those 'hole in the wall' driers, but a cool stand out one at waist level you lower your hands into.

Anyway, enough about the toilets. XD!
I also saw a chocolate fountain.
But considering I had some chocolate ice-cream at the cinema I'm glad I wasn't tempted by it. *phew*

Before going to the cinema, we stood by to watch the TV at the 'Sky' stand, where they try to peddle Sky TV to bystanders. Only they FAIL MISERABLY-! because we did try to get Sky but they said it couldn't be installed in our area. *evil glare* We watched Formula 1 racing and were glad when Jenson Button (ENG) came 2nd, but gutted when Lewis Hamilton crashed. JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

*points to header* It's September. It's Usagi time.

EDIT: 'Just thought I'd add that my Dad is getting a new computer because his is kaput. And when he does he says Mum and I can use the laptop he has. That way the external hard-drive, printer-scanner and other USB connected devices will work. The USB ports on this laptop are not working for some reason, so. It means I'll be able to scan the 25k picture I've drawn so far, look up BPM levels finally and put together the first BPM boss battle.

EDIT 2: Currently 4-1 to England in the football! Suck on it, Croatia!

I finished Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box!

The cut scenes were adorable, their voices were really sweet, and the story was just as thrilling. And just as rediculous too. XD! Kudos go to the scene of Luke jumping on a sofa, the voices of the cast, Sammy RAWR Thunder, all those fun minigames and the "Professor Layton is-! Eh?! Fencing?! Wow!" scene. And of course, those tricky, ever harder puzzles.

Apparently there are going to be 2 more games! Excuse me while I do some dancing on the ceiling. And for Flare, below is the item I bought that I was telling you about.
"Professor Layton figure straps and promo CD".
As pictured, you get two phone straps of Layton, and Luke, and a CD with 3 tracks on it.

Next month I will be paid for 21 shifts! I did two extra shifts last month that I was not paid for. And I will have to be paid for those. Normally I only get 15-17 shifts pay, depending on when the weekend lands. If it's after the 28th I only get paid for 15 shifts, if it's before the 28th I get paid for 17 shifts, and if it's between the 28th I get paid for 16 shifts. Like that. ANYWAY-! This month I did 19 shifts because my colleague was on holiday. Plus those 2 owed days = 21 shifts.

On a side note, I am quite annoyed. The post office faile AGAIN. This is an extract from the "Notes..." section of my journal, where I write quick things without having to make a journal entry. It's still there if you can see it to the right. If you can't see it, here's what is says:

'The Missing Parcel- 4th September 2009.
The parcel I waited up for half the day yesterday... hadn't even been sent!

I know I arranged the redelivery because I got a conformation email from the Royal Mail. I waited all morning for it yesterday and it never came. Then, after coming back from my sisters, it still hadn't come! I know this because there was no note left.

So I rang them up and told them and a guy on the other end of the phone scratched his head in confusion, saying they still had the parcel. He asked if I wanted it to be delivered tomorrow. I told him I would be at work all weekend so could they deliver it on Monday and he agreed. I promptly thanked him and hung up.

Buh-doi. *rollseyes*'

Well, fast-forward to Monday, and THEY DIDNT DELIVER IT- AGAIN!

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

I've been looking at Arthur/Merlin picspams all afternoon. XD! Can you tell series 2 is about to begin? I do hope they start with Merlin returning to Camelot with Gaius and having to explain to everyone where he was. Or at least continue where they left off. I am looking forward to some more slash! >=3 And by slash, I mean prat/idiot love. Not even X-Factor is going to stop me from watching my Merlin! BRING IT ON AIR NAO PLZ!

After work I went to see Dr. Ashby again, and I now weigh 13 stone and 7 pounds. My WiiFit says I am just under 14 stone, but I will trust the scales at the Doctor's Surgery I think. Because they say I'm lighter.

The last time I weighed 13 and a half stone was when I left school! I was a size 16-18 then! I don't think I'd fit anything like that yet, but soon! SOON! And then when I lose weight I will be able to wear these without fear of breaking them/ toppling over:

The heels are 9cm. o__0 But for shoes like that, I will try to walk in them. I really really love them. I hope they fit and are semi-comfortable. XD! This is the first time I've bought nice shoes like this. I've only ever worn boots and flat shoes before. It will be nice to own a pair of pretty shoes. Even if I only wear them on the rare occasion that I have anywhere to go.

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

XD! Okay, in trying to fit both the highlights of the post today in the same title, I came up with this amusing anicdote. I wonder if the Queen even likes Star Trek? But anyway! *shakes face about to concentrate on the real matter at hand* 3 parcels awaited me today! The most important being from *Flare-Haynekie! And inside were some absolutely fantastic Star Trek glasses! From the new movie in colour! There are 4 of them for the characters Spock (with new and old Spocks on it!), Kirky, Uhura and Nero (the bad guy). I've wrapped them up safely again and placed them in their snazzy collector's boxes. Star Trek goodies. *grining ear to ear in glee*

And in another package was the QUEEN HERSELF! I AM NOT WORTHY!

My Ethereal Queen figure. Each part was meticulously packed, she in little sandwich bags, all placed in another plastic bag for extra protection. It was sent in a bubblewrapped jiffy bag via insured special delivery. It took me about 15 minutes to assemble her, and then I showed her to my mother (who was actually impressed). And now I have placed her on top of my DVDs on top of my shelf out of the way where the cats never go. I haven't got her a case yet, but I will definitely be doing that. As with the other figures in the series, parts of her wobble a bit unless you know how to secure parts down like I do. I will also be getting some glue, but I don't think I have the heart to glue the pieces together. I want to be able to disassemble her and place her somewhere safe if I choose to. Anyway, she is brilliant!
Her staff is a little bent at the top, but I have her holding it by the top in her right hand and then at the bottom in her left, so she's holding the staff behind her back basically. This seemed like the best way to assemble her initially.

Lastly but not least, the two Dragonball shirts I bought arrived. One has the Capsule Corp. logo on it, and the other has the Red Ribbon Army logo on it.

You got a Red Ribbon Army shirt? Ohh-! So you're funding terrorists now?!

Yesterday I used some random dude's WiFi connection or something like that to connect my DS to the internet. The BT hub connection wasn't strong enough, and neither was the local option. And there was a guy's name in one of the slots, I think so anyway (if I remember correctly). It may have just been another connection, but regardless of what it was, it was the only one that would work, so I used it. I downloaded all the Professor Layton puzzles from the first game and am doing them as I type basically. The first one is difficult, but I completed the next 7. There are quite a few left I think.


And that's what happened. Hm, so if the Ethereal Queen came today, then the package I asked to be redelivered to my post office... wasn't that. JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

Why? Because I went into work yesterday and today when I wasn't supposed to. And worked the full day both days. And now I have to do a further 4 days this time by myself because I'm covering Donna's well-earned holiday/break. I then get 1 day off before having to do another 2-4 days. Thank GOD Francis agreed to work Monday for a few hours so I could have that day off. It turns out I need the day too, because I missed a package being delivered. What did come, however, was my Persona 4 promo Art Book. It's really nice!


Professor Layton and the Curious Village: I SOLVED IT!

I finished the game at about 2am this morning. It was effing brilliant! And just like the game "Daxter", it gives you full access to any cut-scenes from the game you saw. So I can watch the Ferris Wheel scene over and over. XD! It's perposterous! One thing I'll say is that there are various types of puzzles. My favourite ones are where you have to choose between A, B, C and D. Because sooner or later if you're completely stumped you will get the right answer. And then you can load the game again and choose the right one first time for full Pacarats!

Isn't that cheating?

MrsNox is a big fat cheater.

Hey! I only did it one or two times! I managed to do all of the other puzzles by myself. And a lot of them you can't really do the -reload and complete first time- gag. Like when you have to get a ball from one end of a puzzle to the other by moving blocks out of the way. It takes ages. The worst puzzle in the game was "33333" in which you had to place numbers 1-9 at the bottom and top of an equation to make the sum of 33333.

It was horrible! I enjoyed this game very much. You can get a game like "Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training" or something similar, but after 10 minutes or so you get quite bored. What I like about Prof. Layton is that there's a story and there are mysteries and cut-scenes, humour and fun. There are lots of things to keep you entertained, like finding gizmos which will eventually be put together to form the mystery item. And finding painting scraps that will reveal one of the mysteries. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys the same kinds of cute games as me, like "PoPoLoCrois". But only if you like a good puzzle or brain-teaser. None are as hard as doing crosswords or require much math knowledge.

I'm just glad I finished it in time for the sequil which is coming to the UK in September. More Layton and Luke!

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

Tuesday August 18th 2009.

The family are round, as you know. First here were George and Uncle Carl. Then Oliver and his partner Jen came. Today I went with them Marwell Zoo, so there were 5 of us. We listened to Reggae on the way in the car and Carl was being quite funny. We then shopped at Tesco for tasty but really cheap stuff for lunch and then after seeing a quarter of the Zoo went back to eat it. Then we saw the rest of the park. We saw a giant ant-eater, meercats, sandcats, a snow leapord, a normal leapord, tigers, a small red panda, a hippo and baby, some monkeys, giraffes, snakes, lizards and a tiny green frog. Loads of animals!

I managed to get to the gift shop, where I bought various things:

1. Tiger keychain.
2. Postcards x5.
3. Card set (8 cards).
4. Purple Ruler.
5. Tiger 2010 Callender.
6. A toy safari car and airplane for Orion.
7. Zoo guide book with pictures of animals we saw and descriptions/ information. Also a fold-out map.

TOTAL: £30!
That's not bad actually...

When Oliver sends me the photos of the animals via email, I will post them here. I will also scan the book I got.
When I got home I saw that the Star Ocean 2 doujinshi I bought had arrived. *dances* Mum cooked a brilliant dinner as well with two kinds of potatoes. I've eaten far too much today, but what the hell?! I also had chocolate pudding. Back to being good healthy girl tomorrow. I spent the evening talking to Uncle Carl, Jen and Oliver. It was really nice just me hanging around with family I hardly ever see, especially Oliver and Jen. I've never met Jen before but she's brills, and I haven't seen Oliver in ages.

It was a great day, basically.

1. The 25'000 pic will be of all the suggestions, except the suggestion of the BPM group, because I haven't got everyone's profile pics yet. But I wil be trying to do *charryblossom's first character card for my collection soon.

2. Oliver and his partner Jenny came after all. They are sleeping in the spare room on the right. Carl and George are sleeping in the spare room on the left. Jenny and Oliver are really nice and easy to get along with. It was nice chatting to everyone, save for the few discussions about poo, and Dad dousing Albel with the hose every time it looked like he was even going near the pond.

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

Using the computer at my sister's house has two benefits.

1. The screen is HUGE! I'm talking 13"x20"! My profile page looks bigger than a super-size meal at McDonalds!

2. She uses Firefox, which means I have an automatic spell-checker at my disposal!

I've come here with my Mum, Uncle Carl and cousin George, to see Anji, Orion and Fred. It's becoming clearer that my nephew's memory is improving. He remembered Carl and George, and even what they did the last time they came around. And he also remembered that the last time I spoke to him I told him I would get him a birthday present:

"Where's my present, Auntie Sam?"

I had to laugh and tell him he couldn't have it until his birthday! He nearly got away with it as well. XD!

Work today was okay, Francis is nice and works hard and does lots while Donna and I clean in the rooms. I pulled out 4 rooms and she shampooed dozens of carpets. I feel like we really got a lot of cleaning done, which was great. The boss lady didn't come in though, and I asked Donna to tell her that I won't be coming in tomorrow because I have to go to the Nutritionist at the War Memorial hospital. Talk to her about my diet and everything. I did try to tell her on Friday but she had gone before I could talk to her, but she was aware that I had an appointment, because I told her when we did my rota.

A friend of mine is being really awesome! She went to a comic book meeting in Japan and found a FaizexLymle doujinshi. And she bought a copy for me and is sending it to me for free. I love her!!! ^____^

Some very sexy books arrived today. Pirate women and stuff, and some novels I will look forward to reading in my room. Mwahaha. Achem. And I don't mind that the books aren't in perfect nick because I did kind of get the cheapest ones. They were very expensive.

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

I lost £10 today!

My manager wanted me to buy some carpet shampooer today because there was none left and there hasn't been for days. She gave me a £10 note, after which Debs the carer gave me a £10 note as well. Putting them both in my wallet, I saw I had a £10 note too, so there were 3 when I went out to get the shopping list of items in the middle of my cleaning shift. At the Co-op I opened my wallet to pay, and all 3 notes were still inside. I handed over 1 of the notes to the cashier and packed all the stuff. Then I went to the bakery. But when I opened my wallet to pay for the buns Debs wanted me to get everybody, there was only 1 £10 note left!

It wasn't mine, because mine had been folded up partially like a fan. As soon as I got out of the bakery I went back to the till at the Co-op where I had last seen my own £10 note, and looked around. But I couldn't see it. Not on the floor, or near the plastic bags. And then my nerves got the better of me because the shop was full so I was too timid to ask the cashier if she had seen it. I kept looking inside my pockets, inside the bags and everywhere for it on the way home and during my break, but it was no where to be seen. Back at work, my manager felt bad for me and said I could go back and look for it. But I declined because I'd looked everywhere where it might have been to no avail. Someone probably already picked it up.

SIGH.

After losing that money work wasn't a help to my dampened mood. I couldn't find any carpet shampoo for the machine at work, so I had to scrub the carpet by hand hoping the stuff would be good enough. I think the carpet looked a lot better, but it'll probably look bad again tomorrow because even with a towel down to stop the marks, if people are walking over it then it will become dirty again. That carpet is the bain of my working life at the moment, it's white for one thing. Who gets a white carpet for a care home floor?! Stains I can deal with- but the marks that appear so easily just from people walking on it are unbearable! So I was pretty bummed out all day. As always the friendly staff made me feel better, but. I wouldn't care about the money, but my parents gave me it to buy stuff for the house while they are on holiday. At the moment I need washing powder, body wash and other things we're running out of.

But I was really happy this morning, because I looked in my deviation box, and there was an awesome deviation of me! By *charryblossom, she had illustrated the little fic I wrote her of how we met in relation to my BPM game. It's awesome and features my character and hers. >=3

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

When I think of today, that's what comes to mind, the 'old, alone, done for' chanted to Captain Hook in the 2002 version of Peter Pan. *sigh* I won't exaggerate, today wasn't really bad, it just had a few too many frustrating/depressing moments. I had a laugh with most of the staff members, like both Julies, Tee and Tina. Violet gave me two little eclairs, which was very nice of her. I think I just put one of them in the washing. Doh. And it was Jock's 58th wedding anniversary today. His wife came round. Julie had bought them a card and Tina's husband brought in flowers for them. That was nice. And luckily there was a cope-able amount of cleaning and laundry to go back and fourth inbetween.

Still, I don't know... well, actually I do know why today was crappy.

1st and foremost, the boss came in. Lets just get that out of the way before anything else. I always get stressed out when he comes in. He wasn't too bad though. He put 9 toilet rolls in my cupboard and didn't question me on why we had run out like he usually does. If he's in a bad mood he will want to know where every single toilet roll has gone. He's like that I guess. He was okay though. 'Can't believe I just said that. But it isn't nice ducking around him hoping he won't zap you with his evil eye or fuss over something irrelevant.

But as for the chef? Bah, the stripling!

She told me that the toilet I had just cleaned was still wet. FREAKING DUH. Of course it's bloody wet, I told her, I just cleaned it with disinfectant and hot water like 30 seconds ago. But it didn't stop there. Then she told me it was uncomfortlable and she suggested that I should use another cloth to dry the toilets after cleaning them. I really couldn't get my head around that. If she had gone to the toilet 1 minute later we wouldn't be having the discussion. I told her I had neither the time nor the inclination to dry toilets after cleaning them, and that the idea was rediculous. Donna doesn't do it, and neither does anyone else I have ever met! She just wanted to 'butt' in on my work and tell me what to do. Tina (the Nurse in charge) also said that it was rediculous. She joked with me later on saying 'Sam, I just went into the toilet and it was a bit too dry,'
ROFL.
Tina's husband said I should have told her I was counting on her butt drying the seat for me. He's just like my Uncle Carl. So as you can imagine I received a frosty reception from the cook for the rest of the day. None of this would have happened if she's stayed in the kitchin where she belongs.

I felt really bad for Tina today at one point as well. There's a lady with us at the moment who can't see, and I feel bad for her but think we get along okay. I get her things and put tapes on for her when I go into her room. And I always try to talk to her. Today I went in there at one point and she asked me to get her phone book and call her daughter. She seemed really sad and said she 'couldn't stand this place'. I felt really uncomfortable because I wasn't sure if I would get in trouble so I asked if the Nurse could help her do it instead. Then the lady said 'no, not her, she's keeping me penned up here like a prisoner!' And that made me even more uncomfortable. Tina is a good Nurse and I've seen her working with residents- including this lady. She's always calm and collected and helpful. I decided to go down and tell Tina, who went up. But just so I could witness and advocate, I went up as well and stayed outside. I could see Tina and the woman at all times from the linen cupboard.

As soon as Tina started talking to her, the woman became very abusive. It didn't start very badly, as at first Tina asked her what she needed and the woman just snapped back that she wanted to get up because she'd been in her PJs all morning. JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

Doctor Ashby said I made her day because in the month since I last saw her I've lost 11lb!
I am well chuffed because I thought I'd only lost 7lb or something similar. To lose nearly a stone (5 kilo) makes me really happy and has made me more positive in continuing my healthy eating plan to lose weight. I would call it a diet, but I'm just not eating crisps, chocolate or icecream- and if I do eat things that are sugary or high in fat I eat in moderation. I still have breakfast, lunch and dinner and then apples, grain bars and stuff inbetween as and when I feel like it, but I'm just not overloading myself for no reason. And it helps that I work as a cleaner/laundrette for 6 hours 4 days a week. I know I probably won't lose this much again because the lighter you get the less weight you lose in a set time.

She has asked me to come back again in a month to make her day again. Something to work hard towards really, as I want to lose more weight. And I have the nutritionists appointment later on in the month as well.

In other news I have finally got to the end of the Void Quest dungeon in Persona 4, and now just need to go back and train over and over till all my characters are level 45+.

My mother's birthday party was a success! She got all her presents from me. Some other nice presents she got were a DVD of "Young Victoria", a DAB Digital radio, a great electric/digital photo frame which has 'usb' and can slide-show selections of photos! The food was tasty and I got to have a slice of cheesecake and chocolate birthday cake. >=3 And Orion played football like a maniac with Mum and Fred while Anji ran his bath.

I am now watching some cool episodes of Babylon 5.
It's season 2, so I know what happened in Season 1. I'll probably borrow the first from my sister.

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

Last night I was starting the "Void Quest" dungeon of Persona 4, just after Rise joins your party. I got up to level 7 when I cast fire on 3 enemies. They bounced the element back onto my main character (I've called him Kanada) and he died. Because the protagonist died, it was game over. After all those levels! Oh well, that'll teach me to go up more than 5 floors in a game like Persona without saving. There goes an hour of my life.

Today I pulled out more than 7 rooms to do the skirting boards behind the furniture- and I also hoovered, polished, cleaned toilets and sinks. I was on fire. Not literally though. While on shift I took a repeat prescription request to the Doctor for Karen (the nurse in charge) and got her a chicken-mayo baguette. I got a nice low fat pasta salad with chicken in tomato and basil sauce. Less that 2% fat! It was delicious! While I was buying food, I posted the return item to Amazon (the damaged Usagi Yojimbo comic). Hopefully they will send me a nice new-looking one.

Tomorrow is my Mother's birthday.
I'd say Happy Birthday but she doesn't use this site and I'm glad. This way I can tell you what I've bought her. She'll never know.

I've made her a "Present Goody Bag" with many little presents inside, most of which are wrapped:
1. Birthday card.
2. Turkish Delights x2.
3. Mr. Monk novels x4.
4. Crossword book.
5. Cadbury's Snaps (in shape of pringles covered in chocolate).

And I hope she likes it. It's a nice colourful gift bag. I bought her things I know she likes.

BPM Challenge X2!


You drew a brilliant sillhouette of the "Foul Spirit" (a horse like ghost) on your character ID. You must now uncover this beast in a MAZE-LIKE AREA FILLED WITH GHOSTS and capture it using the Monster Hunter tool: "Sucker-Jet-Pack".
It draws in any ghost-like creature. Tell me how you did it BUT:
a) Leave the ending open for a surprise (aka- don't go anywhere after capturing it or go to sleep, just stay where you are).
b) Make sure you are on the planet Elicoor, the main planet of SO3. It doesn't matter if you are in Giatt or Greeton, or another small piece of land or an island not mentioned in the game, just please don't be on another planet.

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

August is here, so I can finally use my spiffing new header with Eleyna Farrence and Meracle on it! *TheFinalHikari made many screenshot packages of the endings of the game, which are available on her main page. And I used a few images to make this nice new header, because I am incapable of drawing one recently it seems. What has been happening in a nut-shell then?

1. I got my hours at work back. I had cut them down by half because of shoulder and back pain. I just looked at my pay today and it is... not that bad. About £300, take away rent to my parents. But it's nice to get more money, and since I've been dieting and eating healthily my back and shoulders have been okay.

2. It's my Mother's birthday in 4 days (August 5th). She's taking me to the Doctor on that day, which I feel guilty about but I'm too nervous to go alone. I have bought her a few goodies already as presents: 4 novels, a crossword book and hopefully soon a box of chocolates.

3. I'm really getting into the BPM! I have drawn a couple of character cards please let me draw these of your characters, as that's my challenge and even drawn a few of the items people have won. I guess the RPG geek in me just loves stuff like this.

4. Jeebus, Persona 4 is really addictive. I've been playing for 40 hours now. On 3 nights I have stayed awake until 3am just playing this game. I really love the RPG and social gaming mixed together. Especially that you get to see loads of other stories of classmates, friends and family as you progress in the social game- as well as getting to solve a series of murders as the RPG main theme. It's tied together very nicely. Persona 3 is looking more appealing. Someone said the first two weren't as good as the later games, but then again SO1 and SO2 weren't as good as SO3 and SO4- but that's because the franchise was still getting on it's feet at that time.

5. Thanks to everyone who wished Carnie well. She's looking much better. I can give her the medicine she needs on my own sometimes now, not that she likes it.

I haven't been online since Saturday morning because the laptop was unplugged from the dining room table when my sister and family came down. It did work for a while using backup power, and when I plugged it in to charge it the first time it ran out of battery it worked. But after that the charger light wouldn't come on and it wouldn't turn on. This is the first time it's been on really. And I come back to many things!

Saturday 25th July...

After work Dad took me home in the car. He said everyone had waited for me, because they wanted to see if I would go bowling with them. I agreed. >=3 I also found a Chicken-Mayo baguette waiting for me in the fridge, which Dad had bought for me. Hehehe. I ate it before we went to the bowling alley.

1. Fred and I didn't do any bowling, we just watched.
2. I beat Dad at the table top Air-Hockey game.
3. I lost to Anji and Fred at the same game.
4. I played on the Dance Machine with the arrows for the first time with Mum. I got a D grade but somehow still managed to win.
5. Anji beat Dad at pool.
6. Orion played with assistance on the motorbike racing game.

I showed Anji and Fred the WiiFit later on that afternoon. Fred had a go as well.

EDIT for Friday...

At about 9am this morning after having breakfast I went up to my room to get dressed and I went to say hello to Carnie. When she turned her head her left eye wasn't open but clamped shut. When I tried to open it to see what was wrong, it was horribly gloopy and wet, and her eyelids were swollen (cats have three eyelids in each eye so just to clarify her right eye was fine). Still, I picked her up marched her downstairs to my Mother, who instantly made an emergency appointment to the vets. As always, she resisted VERY much being placed (or forced) into the cat carrier we had but was then as good as gold all the way to the vets.

When we were finally seen by the vet (who was very nice to Carnie) he had a look at her eye and mentioned the swelling and cloudy colour of the left eye. First, he turned the red light on in the room. Then he placed a yellow liquid inside her eye so he could use the Ultra Violet light machine- to have a better look under the eyelids and inside the eye for cuts and cists. I was holding the Ultra Violet machine for the vet, and Mum was helping to hold Carnie in a comforting position, because it couldn't have been nice for her. But she was very good and still. When the light shone on the yellow liquid, Carnie's eye looked green! Luckily there were no cuts or cists or anything, which means she has an infection but nothing more serious. But still. Poor Carnie.

We have FOUR medications to give her. Two sets of eye drops, an injection of antibiotics and a tablet.
I am relieved my little sister is okay!!!

When we got home I gave her some treats, which Albel tried to steal, so I gave him some too (just not as many). And when Albel tried to swipe at Carn and missed her eye by an inch, I locked him outside. The little terror. I am now on Carnie/Albel watch. I think she's upstairs in my room resting, and he's down here with me. Mum gave Carn some eyedrops before going out, and we're going to have to buy a new litter tray because we don't want to let half sighted Carnie out in her condition. I've opened the curtains in my room so it's light and I might bring a potted plant into my room so she can lick the leaves (I know she likes doing that).

I have today and tomorrow off before I have to return to work. Boo. Hiss. But I've had a good few days off. I was a bit bored yesterday but that was just one of those days. I bought 4 books yesterday, well actually this morning at about 10 past 12 in the morning. They're Mr.Monk books. I bought:

Professor Layton and the Curious Village. The game about the Professor and his assistant Luke- not 'feel the force' Luke but 'half annoying half cute bad british accent' Luke. The puzzles were a mix of annoying and fun, hard and easy. I was feeling like a "puzzle novice" but having fun. I was enjoying the game so much, that I was very annoyed when it froze.
Does it serve me right for getting it on ebay? Probably. For not saying anything when I knew the NTSC image on the front did not match the PAL label? Again, highly probably. For thinking the cart was at least genuine, but just used? Maybe.

My only solace is that I had only been playing it for 6 hours. And that now I know how to do at least 60 of the puzzles in the game. And I like the cut-scenes anyway, so I don't mind playing through it again. Maybe I could sit down and do it all in one go to catch up?
In any case, I was conservative with my feelings when the seller sold me a game that was supposedly brand new and sealed, but looked dodgy all over. I thought the cart was used and had been placed in a seller-manufactured case and booklet to boot which looked more like it was written by an individual writing about a game in his/her blog. Still, I didn't mind that it wasn't, because the cart was usable. But now the cart has broken/frozen? I suspect even that was a bootleg too.
Annoyed doesn't quite cut it really. >_>

I guess I will have to buy a copy from Amazon or Play.com. But they're so expensive for such a little cart and case. As expensive as X-BOX 360 games. Nevermind. I could go to the seller, but I already left them positive feedback. I know, I know, that doesn't mean I shouldn't tell them when it breaks because I still have rights up to 30 days after buying it.
But I can't be bothered right now.

Other than things like that, ebay is a great place to buy things. 99.9% of purchases I make are brilliant. I've only ever had 3 bad experiences on ebay, and I've been on the site for 3+ years now. I recently had 2 problems with Play.com within the same month. The sent me one damaged collectable- and I sent it back. I then looked on ebay and bought it for £15 cheaper. It was a brand new sealed version in perfect condition. All selling sites have their problems. I bought a book on Amazon and even if it was someone who didn't mind a little fold or two, they would have sent it back. And another book which was sent in carboard with no protective seal or sheet even though the cover was white. It arrived at my house with unwashable black marks on it. It wouldn't have taken much brain power to decide to cover the book with the paper invoice to give it an extra level of protection.

Sunday 12th July...

After work yesterday, Dad and I went out to Southampton. Looking around the stores was good, I noted a few mangas and comics that I will try to find online for cheaps. And I noticed a set of Novels of the TV series, Monk! I never knew there were books/novels written about him! It's offical, he's as popular as Star Trek. >=3

I also witnessed my first ever store theft!
As Dad and I walked up to the counter in a hardware store, the store alarm went off suddenly. Turning to the door, all I saw was the store clerk power-walking after the unseen culprit. Then Dad and I came outside and casually made our way into the next store- and before going in I saw the store clerk talking to someone. This man lifted his shirt up and revealed 3 toothbrushes in their original packaging stuffed into his trousers, which had concealed by his shirt. I mean come on! If you're going to steal something, make it worth more than 3 sodding toothbrushes! DOI.
The thief then ran away. The woman didn't go after him this time, because she had received the stolen merchandice. She was brave though, to go after him the first time.

In the Forbidden Planet I bought a magazine called "preview", a huge chunky magazine showing covers of new and upcoming comics, graphic novels and figures. There was a free Marvel Previews magazine inside as well, so it made up for the fact they charged me £4.20 for something that cost $4.90. In case you're not clued in about currencies, $4.90 is NOT £4.20. $4.90 is about £2.70. >.> Oh well, as I said, it's huge and warned me about the new Usagi Yojimbo book AND a Hokusai based comic!

On the way there and back we witnessed two crashes on the motor way. One involving a turned over mobile home. We suspect that it was being transported when the wind blew it from the vehicle carrying it and it fell over.

The vending machine in the car park at West Quays is brilliant. You put your coin in and a robotic arm moves up to the drink you want, grabs it and places it in the dispensary!
And at home Mum had cooked a very nice Roast Dinner, which I happily gobbled up.


Monday 13th July...

This morning my 2 'Wild Sketches' books arrived by Luis Royo, and they're gorgeous. I highly recommend them to those who like looking at sexy/beautiful women in the fantasy/sci-fi theme. And the Dune TV series came as well, featuring the main actor who plays Wesley Gisbon in 'Wanted'. I look forward to watching that now I know he's the leading actor. "I'm sooooooory!"

Got up at 6.30 this morning. Then I went down to the local super market and got some food for the day and a pint of milk as requested for the house. I like being up at that time because there aren't many people around. ^-^
And later Mum and I went out and had a walk. For the first time in 5 years since we moved to Lee on the Solent, I went through the park. When we poked into the local charity shops I spotted two really nice bags. A baige, textured rounded tote-like bag and a small greenish handbag made by FCUK. It's a little thing but they cost me £5 together. It was also nice going for a walk with Mum the day before I go back to work. Boohoo. Before going home, we made sure to buy tonnes of fresh fruit from the local grocers.

I love strawberries.

I watched a programme called 'Wordplay' today, a daytime TV quiz/competition show. I liked it because I could work out the answers without too much difficulty. And I've also added content to my DA profile. Pleasingly, I like the layout, and both sides are nearly the same size. I topped this off by watching some Flog-it!
Later on today is the final episode of the newest "Torchwood" saga, which I really want to watch. I was propelled into the episode yesterday, and feel like I was wise to miss the last 3 episodes, as I caught up really quickly.


Star Ocean 4 Trading Arts Figures!

The fabled figures of Star Ocean 4 are finally turning up in online stores! They're currently pre-order only, but a few shops are promising to stock them. The 5 figures include: Edge, Reimi, Meracle, Faize and Lymle.

I'm a little disappointed because they already made 2 rather expensive figures of Edge and Reimi. I would have liked to see 5 completely different figures, because the pose of these PVC versions won't look much different from the more expensive, higher quality figures already on sale. And considering they're random figures, it won't do to get figures you already have different versions of, as WELL as duplicates.
But that's just nit-picking.
It's just a shame some of the other characters won't have their own figures. Perhaps they just weren't sure of how to sculpt Sarah's delicate wings, or Myuria's gravity-defying knockers. I don't see why there's no Arumat figure though. He seems to be quite popular. Then again, they never made a figure of Albel, which considering he was the most popular character in the East and West, was a loss of potential income from the hundreds of fangirls bating for a figure.

Most stores are selling them for $50, which with postage and packaging included means they will cost about $65. In GBP, the cheapest I've found them for is from a store called 'Yes-Asia', which will deliver them for free for £50. But that's still the same price of items and shipping in other stores, just all hidden in the cost of the item. It might be worth it if you buy more than one set. If you can afford it. Last night I watched the film Beetlejuice for the first time. It was hilarious, if completely rediculous. Because of this, I went to sleep at 1.30 pm and didn't wake up until 10am this morning. I felt kind of bad for lounging around the house, so after lunch I went on the WiiFit for half an hour, and then spent the next half an hour doing the laundry. I just had a shower and got dressed, so for the rest of the day I will just do my own laundry and maybe watch a movie- Brave Story or Dune.
Oh, and I need to tidy my room and upstairs.

Having said that, what I'll probably do it watch pointless daytime TV.

I'll get back to you on that.

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

Because my shoulder also hurts, I decided to go to the Doctor. It was a decision that was also heavily influenced by my manager's sudden interest in my sickness. Not to ask why or what she could do to help, but to tell me I was just too young to have back problems. Apparently, even though I work as a cleaner in a place where the Health and Safety is SQUAT/ZERO, I should have a perfectly fine back because I am only 21. So after telling her I would temporarily cut my hours in half because of my back and shoulder pains whilst at work, I decided to book a Doctor's appoinment.

What I really want is smaller breasts. I wear double-f bras right now, and I still don't think they're big enough. When I lay on my side, on my back, when I try to sit normally and even when walking, they make me feel uncomfortable in some way or another. And then there's the sores you get underneath them where they rub against your belly. It's horrible. So yes, I want a reduction. Obviously I knew what was coming.

She didn't come out and say it. She was very nice and described the reasons for my pains and then listened. But obviously if I don't want the risk at surgery (and to convince surgeons that it is safe to operate on me) I will have to lose weight. So she has scheduled me an appointment with a dietitian, who might be able to help me in what foods I should eat. I worry that I'll get bored of the stuff around and eat an ice-cream or something. But this is the first time I've been on a sort of diet where there's more to it than losing weight. I have to see my Doctor in one month and get weighed.

So far so good. But I shouldn't praise myself yet, it's only been 2 days! I just need to avoid the dark side... the dark side being sugary, salty foods. Thankfully one of my favourite meals on this earth (baked potato with cheese and beans) is good for you as long as the cheese is low in fat. Yay.

Anyway, I have been itching to draw loads of stuff, but I haven't got a working scanner, so what's the point. It's no one's fault, it just packed in for some reason. It also doesn't print. Which means once again I've made a digital Journal Header, which I actually quite like.

The reason I wasn't at work today was because Donna asked me to switch shifts with her again. When people ask me to cover shifts or switch them, I make a point to always say yes. It's not usually much of a difference to me, since I don't make many plans anyway. Unless you count planning to go out and buy a chicken-mayo baguette a plan. No? Okay then, no plans. S.A.D.
I'm thus working tomorrow, and hopefully because it's a weekend there will be no boss-lady or boss-man around. Hopefully he's brought the shopping over that the chef asked for and she's introduced the new resident into the home. GOD. 20 residents between 3 carers and 1 nurse. 19 was bad enough.

Spending spree...


I finally got the money back from returning the Star Ocean Colelctor's Edition game. I have one already, but the second one they sent me which I bought for Flare was damaged. I'm going to spend next month's pay on a new copy from Amazon. But in the mean time, I was wondering... how much could I buy from the long list of things I've been meaning to buy? Using only the refunded money and what's left in my account? Buying from Amazon will save me £15, so I'm happy to spend this moneu on Play.com items. Hehehe.

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

A week ago I received a letter from some officol with a cheque in it for £39.85, because apparently last year I paid too much tax, and they wanted to give it back. The letter that came with it said I had 6 months to cash it at the bank, but if you knew me you'd know I cashed it within 3 days.

I've been waiting for the money to be available in my account, which it is now TODAY. I have 3 days off, £42 in my account (yes, I only had £2.00 in my account before cashing that cheque) and am ready to ROCK AND ROLL! Well, you get the picture.

I'm going to get dressed out of my PJs, put my washing in the machine, go to the village shop and get some food. Then I will come back and play SO4- since I haven't played it for a few days. I'm playing the second time around without the guide- as I remember which PAs to activate and don't need any collections really. I missed out on the Storm Blade recipe, but that's a crappy weapon and I already have it in my first game collections. I'm not crying over it anyway.

Yesterday I watched Andy Murray. HE WON!
CONGRATULATIONS ANDY!!!

I was glad he won, but it was his opponent who was so funny, and really won over the British-strong crowd. He took a tennis ball Andy had just hit from one of the ball girls and tested it to make sure there was nothing on it to help it bounce. And then he took another ball up to the ref for the same reason. And when he dived and managed to hit a volley without swinging his racket and won the point- he made a little victory gesture to the crowd. Hehe. Then, on the turn of his after he'd checked Andy's tennis ball for what I have now started to call 'BOUNCETIVITY' he pretended to check his own by bouncing it on his racket- just to show there were no hard feelings and it was all in good fun. The crowd lapped it up and it was certainly very funny.

That is all- oh- and I will finally sort out my MP3 player and take off all the songs I don't listen to. There are so many.

JOURNAL ENTRY!!!

Mr. Imonikhe came in during the last 20 minutes of my shift today. I wasn't actually bothered at all. I just hid upstairs and made myself busy. I left about 20 gazillion coathangers on the line under the electric cupboard today- so they can't say they ran out. When I first started I power cleaned my way through the whole home in an hour because I was pretty annoyed by something. Then I just relaxed for the rest of the day. My 'less is more' diet is going well. I had 2 weetabix instead of 3 (and NO sugar), I had 2 small yogurts (on for break and one just now). And when I went to get a chicken and mayo baguette, I shared it with Karen- who also loves them (she's the Nurse in charge). At first I didn't have a reason to go down to the shops- like getting scripts or supplies- and Karen just said it didn't matter because Mrs. I had gone already so I could go anyway (though I suspect that had something to do with the fact that she was hungry for the chicken-mayo goodness as well). But there actually WAS paper money in Paul's box and so I went to get him one. The chicken-mayo baguette I got on the way was just a by-product of that chore. Really. Not the other way around.

ANYWAY! >.>

On the way home, a man in a wheelchair sitting in his doorway asked me to come over and help him. He was literally sitting in his chair with the door open. He didn't have a shirt on or shoes (but he was wearing socks). He asked me to help put his shoes on for him. I had no problem with that. There's the possibility he thought I was a carer or nurse because of how I was dressed, but it was easy. I asked him if he was alright and he said yes, so I said 'bye then' and wandered off. But I feel kind of guilty for just leaving. I almost want to ring up a hospital or something. I mean he's perfectly with it in the mind, but he's obviously having troubles- otherwise he wouldn't ask a stranger to help him. Maybe I'm thinking too much, and he just thought I was a carer and wouldn't mind. But maybe he's too embarrassed to ask for help of something? Or can't afford it? I'll ask Mum about it when she gets home/ wakes up.

I'm REALLY obsessing about SO4 now. I've written 5 fanfictions in 3 days. And... I finished it. Last night to be exact. On the same day I started it last week. XD! So it's taken me a week. And hell yes I used the guide. I wanted to get all of the endings and not miss any PAs. I also like knowing how to do those annoying (addictive) quests, and definitely want to open every chest. So yep, for my treasure hunting and postman duties, I also used the guide for them. In SO3 it didn't matter if you didn't do all the PAs because if you got one character ending you couldn't get any of the others (not the ones with Fayt anyway). But in this game you can get them all. Which I like, it makes the game more canon. There's plenty of room for working out how possible pairings (of which I have too many favourites now to count) would occur after the game without impossibility. For example, in SO3, there's no WAY Fayt could be paired with Luther in canon to the game- which is too sad.

According to my poll, Faize is everyone's favourite character, which comes as no surprise to me. My top three favourite pairings all have him in them (EdgexFaize, ArumatxFaize, FaizexLymle). And obviously Arumat rates highly. I am pleased some people like Reimi too. And my favourite NPC is definitely between Crowe and Eleyna- yes, that's right, Eleyna you ungrateful striplings! XD! She's full of win. Her voice is so sexy, for one thing. And for another, she's a certain character's ancestor (I won't say who unless you ask me to tell you via note). You have to have played Star Ocean 1 really to know- or at least know about the main characters.

I like the plot twist at the end where you find out where the Eldarian's promised land is- basically their prophesised second home and how that ties in with their history. VERY cool.

Things I loved/ hated...

1. Space fighting scenes:
Dear god, these were amazing. From Edge screaming "Electromagnetic shields up!" to Arumat manually controlling the weapons and spacecraft zipping all over the place, this was epic compared to other Star Ocean games. I have been playing Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope.
Man, oh man, I was trembling as I watched the opening. "Be a good game, be a good game. PLEASE don't suck..." I begged. Thank GOD it's brilliant. When I saw the trailer, I was a bit disappointed they were using graphics more like Final Fantasy and going for the whole 'realism' thing (because I really liked the anime style CG of SO3) but it suits the game so well. And the characters look unique and life-like. It's awesome. Even though he's an asshole, I even gaped in glee at the commander guy of the SRF or whatever he's called. The one who JUST WANTS RESULTS DAMMIT!!!

I love this. I'm such an SO4 noob I keep saying 'or whatever'. I started playing it at 9.30am yesterday morning. And then at midnight (15 hours later?) I decided to turn it off and go to sleep for work the next morning. So far I like all of the charaters AND their voices. IT'S A MIRACLE!!!

I would just like to ask one thing though- thre are 9 characters available- do you get all of them or do you have to choose? There's nothing in the guide that says how to choose them and yet there are only 8 spaces in the Calnus' cabins. If you plan on answering, no spoilers please. You knew that though.
