Right...a couple of gadgets that are very "in the now" that i really want...

1. HP Pavilion Notebook tx2505/CT
- I saw this on HP's Japanese website, and i was pretty impressed. It wasn't pink or anything, but it did seem very light and the best part was that it was a tablet PC, and i've always wanted a tablet PC anyway, so that it'll be way easier to put up some more art on this site! I tried to see if it was on HP's other sites, like the American or British site, but...it wasn't there! It does make sense that they would release it in Japan first anyway. It is JAPAN, after all.

2. Nokia E71 Smartphone
- This gadget is "in the now", but it's not that new, at least not as new as the notebook mentioned above. Again, it ain't pink, but it's got everything that i need in a phone. I also swear by Nokia phones, cos, to me, they're the easiest to use, no matter what model. For some reason, i liken trying to use a Sony Ericsson phone to rocket science. Anyway, back to the phone, this E71 is Nokia's BlackBerry-killer, in terms of size, even shape, and also considering the fact that the Nokia has a QWERTY keypad as well, making predictive texting a thing of the past. It's also got a good camera, and an Mp3 player - basically features that exist in nearly every phone used by nearly everyone here.

October's here, and i've just coined a new tagline for this month off the top of my head: Hooked and Spooked. This is mostly cos Animax started airing some of my fave anime series this month, Ayakashi-Japanese Classic Horror, and xxxHolic, specifically for the 10th month because both anime deal with the topic of ghosts and supernatural stuff like that. Sure, they're 2 years slow in terms of airing both xxxHolic and Ayakashi, but this is, after all, the Southeast Asian feed of Animax (Animax SEA), and not the main Animax, which is Animax Japan. Since i love both anime series and since the two deal with supernatural hoopla, like i said before, there's an official explanation behind the "Hooked" part of the tagline, and the reasons behind "Spooked" are obvious. So here's an early Halloween greeting: Happy Halloween!!!

Aight, this is basically a recap of my day today: my fab Friday! Let's start off with the morning...off to school we go...

5.36 a.m: Reluctantly wake up. Head to the W/C.
6.03 a.m: Suffer minor hypothermia after shower. Damn it's freezing today.
6.32 a.m: Yup, off to school we go then...
6.51 a.m: Reach school, and it's still slightly cold out there...
7.05 a.m: First lesson of the day, which happens to be...Geography! Teacher starts talking, and her "lesson" was actually 30% Geography and the other 70% was a story about life as a teacher, which was basically a warning telling us to get a career OTHER than teaching. As you do. Cracked a joke about something, the whole class and the teach laughed too.
7.45 a.m: All right, P.E!! I kicked ass during netball, and i was in a nameless team that i personally called "Team Sacred Heart" because of my love for Scrubs and also because there were FOUR Bob Kelsos on the team who didn't want to play. My team was sadly beaten 7-frickin'-6! 7-6! I know, i said i "kicked ass" but that's because i scored ALL 6 POINTS. And i also wanted to use the word "thrashed", but a game like this was TOO close to be labeled as "thrashed".
8.sumthin a.m: After all the fun and games, it was time for...Maths!! Aaaiiieeee!!! Nah, it wasn't that bad. I was told a few minutes into the lesson that i was playing a pretty rough and aggro game. A short flashback of mine then happens...and i come to the conclusion that, it was indeed true. Scenes in my flashback: Tons of opponent shirt-pulling (by me), tons of TEAMMATE shirt-pulling!! (by me!), tons of pushing, shoving, knocking, ball-stealing, AND dragging! (All by yours truly). A short "Oh" commenced and the rest was,...Transformations III. Maths was there for the learning, and netball had to be (temporarily) forgotten.
8.40 a.m: Moral Studies, another subject that we were forced to learn from age 7-17, but never cared about for a decade as well. Heck, even the teachers thought it was a pointless subject.
9.sumthin a.m: Recess!! Sadly, i had to skip it because i was forced to head down to the library and complete the VERY LAST Life Skills coursework assignment!!
10.15 a.m: Went back up to class, feeling hungry but pretty satisfied too at the thought of my then nearly-completed coursework.
10.49 a.m: History. Teacher was picking out random students, or, in this case, victims, for impromptu front-of-the-class topic summary presentations! Was feeling both scared and relaxed, but gladly, i didn't get picked.
11.05 a.m: Science time, but our Science teacher was absent!! Much to my horror, 90% of the class turned into baboons in hysteria and i had a tough time trying to shut the whole A-class-cum-zoo up AND reclaim my sanity!
11.55 a.m: Woohoo!! Yeahh!! School's over! Rush out the school gates, and buy a yummy ice-cream cone from the kind ice-cream seller who's kinda sponsored by Nestle. I go and talk to my friends, and while talking, my ice-cream cone drops, cream-first onto the floor! A bunch of primary school kids laughed at me, but i laughed on the inside because they haven't faced the hell that's gonna come to them in like, 2 or 3 years. So, with that in mind, i bought myself another cone.

Yeah, that was pretty much my average, but sweet, Friday.

Today, 24/5/08, was an unexpectedly awesome day. It first started off with me heading to school for sports on a bright and hot morning. I was playing badminton at around 8 then finished at 9. I went for brunch at 11 something, and yeah, my stomach was happy and i was happy too! I had another activity scheduled at 2, so i pretty much had a lot of time left. And so, i did the two most important things i had to do: take a good, short nap and a power shower. When you're full, of course you would want to doze off, and i am so glad i did. I didn't know i was going to need a lot of energy for what was going on at 2...anyway, after the power shower and everything else, i still found the time to play my Ps2. I really don't care if i should be owning a Wii or whatever right now, because i ain't rich, i'm far too lazy to import one (there's this annoying guy on YouTube who keeps on prodding me to import a PSP over the Net) and my Ps2 still makes me happy. Besides, my country is slow in getting new consoles anyway. Okay, back to my day: After one short game of NBA Street Vol.2, with my created team, named Wilt's Ballers (heheh, the Foster's influence reaches the NBA), beating the '01/'02 Chicago Bulls 16-3, i got into the car and headed to the all-boys school opposite my school: an all-girls school. I realized that i came a tad bit too early, and while waiting, the weather shifted tracks and the heat of the morning turned into something i call the pleasant, cool, after-rain breeze of the afternoon, although it seemed like the evening since the skies were really gray and the whole scene looked like it came right out of GTA III. After my friends arrived, we went up to the auditorium....The hosts of the combined gathering were expecting tons of the Christian Students Association members to come, but only a small handful showed up. We were dead scared that they were going to cancel the whole thing, but they decided to carry on. The first activity on the agenda: Well, of course we started with the opening prayer....oh man, the first game was so boring (yet confusing), i'm not even going to mention it here. But the second game was awesome: two teams, each assigned to build towers out of newspapers. But here's the catch: 3 members had to be "paralyzed" (me and 2 other dudes got our arms tied up, others had their legs tied together), others blind, and the other members had to be mute: they were not allowed to participate in the planning of the tower, they were only allowed to construct. Heheheh...i really didn't have much to do since i was paralyzed, so i just lied down and folded some bits of newspaper. But then i just read them anyway. After 30 minutes, we built a tower that was a freaky mix of the Space Needle and The Leaning Tower Of Pisa. The other team built some other tower which looked like something out of that Narnia: Prince Caspian movie. The other team started being terrorists; they hurled newspaper rolls at our tower! Our tower very nearly fell apart, so while they were laughing, i spotted the opportunity to retaliate. I rolled up some newspaper, and immediately hurled right at their tower! They noticed it and they were a bit miffed, so they threw more stuff back at us! This was the fun part: I led the "attack" by throwing paper rolls really hard and they nearly ruined the foundation, soon enough all of my team members thrashed Team 2's tower!! But victory wasn't really ours anyway, since, um....both towers were all over the floor. In the end, we created a "newspaper pool" and three guys dived in. We totally thrashed those guys and hurled tons of newspaper rolls at them! It was so fun, it was pure madness with newspapers! So there was nothing really religious at this point, just pure fun...and some thrashing. After that, we had a small discussion in a circle, which was nothing much, really. And then: Karaoke time!!! We were supposed to sing Praise and Worship songs, but the host, Dick (who was tossed into the newspaper pool), decided to change the tune of things and turn it into Praise & Worship--Karaoke Style!! It was so, so, so FUN!!! Not that i haven't had the "karaoke experience" before, but those were normally with old people singing songs that disappeared in 1994. This time it was different: it was just a bunch of teenagers sharing a mic, and warbling along to pretty catchy and totally fun praise & worship songs! I was hauled up and pretty soon, i was warbling like some drunken, but happy, idiot! I even did a duet thing with that dude i mentioned and it was so hilarious! The P&W songs are local ones, so it was made humorous; it was nothing like those Jars Of Clay songs. We really felt like we were a group of mid 20's working-adult colleagues shaking off the stresses of the day in a karaoke club! We only got to know each other today, and then we're rocking out like really close buddies! It was a totally amazing feeling; when you karaoke with friends, you'd definitely want to karaoke again! Another factor...

Yaaaaaaaayyyy!!! Yesssss!!! Ahahahaha!! I am so happy, and i am so proud of my band (and me too!)!!!! Okay, today is Teacher's Day, and me and my band members performed "Guardian Angel" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus in front of a crowd of 1000+ high school kids, who're all screaming girls, like me, but i don't like screaming. And it was my first time performing in front of a crowd THAT huge!! 1000+ people!!! The best part was: we did well! We really ROCKED!! We practically rocked the whole hall, a hall full of 13-17 year old schoolgirls! Shrieking ones!! Like i said, it was my first time performing in front of a crowd of that capacity, but much to my surprise, i didn't screw up!! Come to think of it, i didn't even feel nervous. Sure, i made some mistakes, but those were little unnoticable mistakes regarding the cymbals, particularly the hi-hat. The whole thing was amazing though, there weren't any standing ovations, but hey, there weren't any boos either! After the performance, everyone was like coming up to me and my friends and saying that our performance was really great, and all that kinda stuff. The day was so perfect, i felt really good, and my friends (oops, forgot to mention, my guitarist and lead singer--our bassist walked out on us) felt good too! Even my teacher said that my band's performance was good. Showcasing my, no, our skills seemed like a pretty good way to show our enemies that they can't mess with us now, and i guess it is. We shut them up, and that was a relief. I was just glad i didn't totally screw up, cos if i did, i'd be in the funny farm right now. It's just that i have this fear, because there's a rather bad memory of me screwing up a dance routine (i'll never be in a dance group--not until i recover from this incident) badly in front of senior Red Cross members and officials during a Red Cross annual generla meeting. But screw that--the time is NOW. When the chance to perform in front of my schoolmates comes again, i'll grab the chance by the neck and mark my words, i'll do this: I will ROCK ON!!!!! Ohhh yeah!!

As the title suggests, i am indeed wounded and 14 years of age. And it's a parody of the "hit" YouTube series, Lonelygirl15. It's not a horrid one, though, it's just the kind that requires a regular Band-Aid and tons of Dettol or Savlon. It's a bloody skin peel, on my left index finger. Here's how it started (please don't fall asleep on your keyboard during this flashback moment): I went for my drums class today, as usual, at the music academy. I plugged in my MP3 player into a speaker, and started playing along to Paramore songs. While playing my 3rd round of "Brighter", my knuckle on my left indy finger struck the rim of the snare so hard, that the knuckle-skin peeled and there was quite a lot of blood. I was glad that the blood didn't really drip on to the drum kit, since it looked like it was going to drip on to some surface, so in the end, due to the lack of a first-aid kit, i was succumbed to wrapping my finger with some tissue paper. After that pleasantly painless (yeah, there wasn't any pain at all!) ordeal, i stopped at my grandma's house to get a Band-Aid. Then i popped by the shopping mall because we ran out of stuff, like antiseptic cream and that kinda stuff....then i dressed the wound properly, and here i am, typing it all out and wishing that i had a test tube with me while my finger was still heavily bleeding, so that i could've collected the blood, sent it to the hospital and find out my blood type without having to use a needle. Oh well...and, shortly after dressing the wound, i bumped my head on the sink counter! Ouch!
