So the goal is 150 pokemon, based on anything from kiwis and keas to sheep and possums to taniwhas.
Design them at your own pace, but the sooner the better; and then we can pick which evolution chains make the best starters and whatnot.
Starter triads can be Fire/Water/Grass or Psychic/Fighting/Dark, so think about types when you design things too.

Anyone driving up from Wellington or Palmerston North? ~spikeyheadedfreak could use a ride. And if theres room, I could use a ride back down with a little luggage after the con, if I still decide to move down there. I'm kinda leaving that decision in the air for now.

Also, what kind of accomodation is going near the con? I've got a cool friend to bother already, but it sounds like with the ball, and plans to go out on the town, I'll probably need to set up a backup place to crash closer to the event. Just in case.

Okay, so here are the 6 characters I most want to cosplay:
The Music Meister - His power is to sing themesongs. Just like me.
Megabyte - It would only be the most epic cosplay ever if pulled of correctly.
Guardian Bob - Who doesn't want a metal wig and powdery blue skin?
Howl - Maximum nerd-babe magnetation.
Freakazoid - Maximum excuse to run around yelling "Whoosh!"
Ripjaws - I already have a helmet and desk lamp.

Basically I have all the materials I need to make most of them, its just a matter of taste, time (2 full weeks to make one!), and function. 'Cause I'll be damned if I go to the Cosplay Ball dressed as Megabyte - I'm bound to fall apart at the worst possible moment.

If anyone around here was planning on buying some prints or something, let me know next time, and I'll add in what I want and split the shipping cost. In fact, do it now, since I'm a Senior Member and complaining about anything deviantArt related will make me look bad.

Also, lolly, our most holy of saviors, needs money. I might give him some, but only after you do. I follow his great example and am also an unemployed moochasaurus.

Speaking of clubs though, the new super groups will be made available to the average user soon, possibly even sooner than that for cool Senior types like me, and it's got me thinking that I need to start one. So chances are I'll run with the same theme as #TheThoughtBooth, and create an imagination hub for people wanting to share and develop their ideas.

The Thousand Murk March.
Planning shenanigans now. It falls on a weekend though, so you've probably all got better things to do than help me spread like a virus through deviantArt. Hell, I probably have better things to do. #Super Groups will hopefully be running in time for the event, just make it severely more murktastic. This year I just want to aim for it to be a lot of fun - any ideas?

Super Villain Empowerment Seminar.
Thinking about starting empowerment seminars where everyone dresses as super villains. We talk about motives and villain psychology, costume design and practicality, proper marketing, fear and pain management, dealing with henchmen, trust excercises, fighting techniques, escape artistry, setting booby traps, and psuedo and super science. Maybe I'll even build an obstacle course with lasers and a bank vault. Just for fun, of course.
I'm hoping that despite the ridiculous paint of coat on top, I can help some people lacking in confidence find their inner strength through a medium they can familiarize themselves with. Plus we get to talk about movies and comics n'shit the whole time.

Shifting House.
In about 3 weeks I'm going to need somewhere to live while I look for a new job. Or, because I'm like that, stubbornly try to live off my art; because I'm sick of you negative little shits saying I can't. Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Wellington, Atlantis... I really have no idea. It's a clean slate from here.

And here's the answer to all three:
I'm going. And I'll be back when I've found what I was looking for. Or they deport me, whichever comes first.

I've made a lot of fuck-ups here. I've burnt a lot of bridges as an artist, and made a lot of stupid mistakes, and gotten told regularly, and passionately, that I will fail as an artist and that I should be happy with a normal life.
And all those horrible things have stuck to me like glue, and suffocate everything I do. And then every time I try to redeem myself, I fuck up more because I hesitate, and I get lectured more and I doubt myself more; even though I know perfectly damn well that I'm 10 times the artist I was even a year ago.
And even though most people tell me there's nothing for me on the other side of the world, I'd still be happier going and finding that out for myself than staying here and hating myself. Because I DO hate the person I'm turning into. I've been such a jerk to people lately.

And that's about it, really.
I can go and I want to go, and so I will go. Just for my own damn sake.

But I find myself... dissatisfied with the community. Dissatisfied with what little I contribute as well. Unable to make an excuse for being here. I guess I've hit a wall. Senior Membership. Enough buffed up stats to make any hard-working newbie jealous. General notoriety. I hit all those goals and now I see myself degenerating into a common forum troll.
Its almost my 5th deviant Birthday, and I just find myself asking "why?"

I will return when I have done more with my life. When I'm proud of something again.

The Cosplay Ball was okay, but I just had more fun at the Wellington one. It didn't help when there were a lot of my friends looking bored.

And Drawfest didn't really happen - we got there late, and then everyone else got there even later; so by the end of all that dicking around there were five of us sitting around playing Pokemon all afternoon on the other side of town.

I'll have to go see Coraline in Christchurch for the film festival!

Next stop! Hamilton! Where I will mooch floor and bully Thomas into finishing our latest musical abomination, Scuba Goth!

In other spiffy news, `VernonX9000 says he'll have a seat free for me if I still make it to APE con in San Francisco this October. And thats a big deal, as far as I'm concerned. So now the race is on to raise some serious money!
