Well it’s been the best part of a year now and I really must apologise for myself.
The past year had been quite an adventure, and a bit of a rollercoaster, both in an academic sense and relationships wise. Nonetheless going to university was the best decision of my life, absolutely worth every penny in student dept for the experience alone. If you get the chance to do it, go for it.

Now, having contributed precious little to this community in recent months I feel quite guilty for all the unfulfilled promises. I guess I could blame my course for this, which I have found hard going, as I am a bit of a workaholic and committed to my studies. There is no exaggeration to say that there have been many sleepless nights trying to get work in on time, and that’s not because I leave things to the last minute. Not deliberately anyway.

I am studying Mechanical Engineering at Brunel University, west London. The course is about 4 years long, full time, and can be a right pain sometimes.

Well I have gotten my priorities sorted out now, and I have not given up here; I will finish what I have started.

Firstly though, there has been something that has been bothering me for a while that I really must get sorted, it is also one of the reasons for my lack of activity here; my username. I hate it.
Why o’ why did I chose that name I think to myself every time I log in; it’s stupid, big-headed, and makes me sound like I’m up myself.

I’ll get a new account sorted and transfer my work that I still think is worth having. Sure I’ll lose the page views and the favourites etc but its necessary.
A fresh start is what I need. Just like how university was a fresh start that allowed me find out who I really was, and meet the people who will be my friends for life.

Again I must apologise for not updating at all, but I will try and make it up.

Thanks, and I hope you are well

Edit: my most popular piece of work, the scale diagram for the deceptions from the first transformers movie, has just been removed due to copyright violation.
It’s strange how only now it has been removed, having had it for so long already. I also wonder what will happen too all the other pieces of work out there that use the original concept art/CGI renders of the transformers. It’s annoying, but there is nothing much I can do about it.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven’t updated my journal for ages. I’m at university now and have settled in well, my assignments are being dealt out already so unfortunately i won’t be able to do much work at all until the holidays. I can’t play spore, build with LDD, or even squash in enough time to upload some of my photographs from Spain, unfortunately. I haven’t abandoned you completely, it’s just during term time I’m ether working, studying, or out with my friends. So I can’t be here all that much.
I hope you understand, and i am sorry that some of the things i have promised have been left undone, but they will get done, just not for a while.
Ok, I have to get back now to writing this CV and report for my Communication module...

There are ten weeks left of my course at collage. But this is no time for me to be happy about it. The work is piling up; the assignments are being dished out, including big, painful reports to write. And most importantly, unlike last year there will be no time to catch-up, it has to be in when it’s due. Otherwise, no qualification.
It is also annoying when my lecturers don’t set work inline with each other; requesting projects and big batches of work in at the same time for the same deadline.
It is getting very difficult.
For this reason I cannot be expected to be very active with my art for at least two weeks, when it is the second half of our half term/Easter break, but even then I’ll still have to play by ear as there is still loads of work to do.
It is quite a shame because I have actually taken quite a shine to making cartoons. Before DeviantArt all I focused on were over-detailed realistic looking drawings of science fiction etc. But now I actually find myself thinking more about cartoons for humour; something I would have never imagined myself doing even a year ago.
So don’t worry, as soon as all my work is done ill be right back hear entertaining the few people who have discovered my existence in this place (in my free time of course). So hear are some names of characters that have been planed for some cartoons in the future, some may occur several times depending on the quality of character, others may not be done in the end;
Scorponok (again), Movie Soundwave, Frenzy (at least twice), Albus Dumbledore, General grievous, Zuko and Jet, Michael Bay, Barricade, Marvin the depressed android, Bonecrusher (again), Optimus prime, Gandalf the Grey and Saruman, Movie Shockwave, Movie Galvatron, Isaac Mendez and Peter Petrelli, the Predator, the Alien.

By all means carry on ing and the like, but I have much bigger priorities.
See you in a little while.

This is so unbelievable I actually have friends!!!
*achem*
RULES
1. Post these rules.

2. Each tagged person must post 8 things about their self on their journal.

3. At the end, you have to choose and tag 8 people and post their icons on the same journal.

4. Go to their pages and send a message saying you tagged them.

5. No tag-backs
=================================
1. I live in England, UK, but you already know that. In a small village called Kingsclere (halfway between two large towns, Basingstoke and Newbury), located about 65 miles west of London.

2. I have one younger brother (the less we say about him the better), and a bunch of pets including three cats, a rabbit and two horses (I can ride).

3. I consider myself fairly inelegant and generally strive for a full general understanding of nature and other sciencey stuff. I am somewhat eccentric and absent minded, often falling into daydreams where I deduce the meaning (or rather purpose) of life and other wild stuff such as how the universe began.

4. I am in my second and final year at collage and hope to get in to university. As a project in my course I am attempting to build a perpetual motion machine (it is scientifically impossible as far as our understanding goes, so if it does work a lot of people are going to be very pissed off).

5. I am in the progression of writing my very own series of science fiction novels (four books). Essentially the story is one gigantic multi-franchise crossover, this is because the story formed itself out of a simple game of childes play with action figures and other toys (the action figures used are all obviously copyrighted characters), that I played during my childhood. But I don’t expect to publish it anyway, it’s just for fun.

6. I am partly dyslectic, which means that my spelling and handwriting can be a bit off to say the least. This doesn’t help when you’re writing a book.

7. I have been a big fan of many science fiction franchises, including Alien, Predator, and AVP, Transformers, Star wars, Futurama, and Dr Who for many years. I grew up with TV series such as Transformers Beast Wars and Digimon.

8. I did pretty well at school, better than some people anyway, and of course enjoy Drawing and other forms of artistic expression.

*Yes, all of the above is true, so you can see that I am a little mad at times, but then again, who isn’t these days?
- - - - - - - - - - - -
I hereby now tag totally unsuspecting victims , , , , , , and
Who will no doubt find me anoying

Wow 600 page views! I’m getting closer to 1000 now. Just a few more weeks/months.
I hope you all had a happy Christmas and enjoy your holiday, and a special thanks to all those who have supported my in this first year, much appreciated.
So, what does 2008 hold for DeviantArt, or more specifically my art? Well I’ve still got some more work that I’ve been meaning to finish for awhile, so I better get that done. I have sort of given up on my Lego modelling; it just doesn’t cut it for me any more.
However I have also been thinking about the Transformers movie, more specifically possible sequel plots for the movie. I may write my own version of how it could be done, but only if I have the time, I’ve still got my collage work to consider.
O, and I’ve just discovered I can now view 'mature content'
Well that seems like it for this year, keep up the good work everyone!

Yay I’ve got 500 page views!
It’s not much compared to some people but who cares !
Seriously nowÂ
Recently I’ve submitted some cartoons that I’ve made myself from scratch; they have been favourited a couple of times but aren’t terribly popular.
I’m just thinking about what sort of art I should be focusing on, I started with those Lego models and got commented that I had a ‘unique medium’, which was good.
However now I’m starting to do more drawings; the cartoons and some detailed sketches witch aren’t finished.
So I’m wondering what I should carry on with; the Lego is somewhat fun to do but takes a while and isn’t very popular, I have a few more cartoons and comics in the pipeline but their quality is limited by Microsoft paint.
(I’m going to carry on with my detailed drawings even if they are never destined for DeviantArt.)
So what will it be?
I think I’ll finish what I started first and then decide what to do, unless any one can make a suggestion?

My new avatar (taken from LEGO Optimus Prime Head) does not show well.
Every time I try and make a new image able to fit a 50x50 pixel space the quality goes way down and I lose all the detail of the original picture. Has any one got advice on how to make a decent avatar from already existing images?
Any tips would be helpfull.

Also my Deviation 'Soundwave movie analysis' does not show up when i try searching it, all my other work does, so what’s going on?

Hello deviant art members!
MyBrilliant-Brain here and I have a small problem regarding my drawings.
I have several drawings of interests of mine that you might like, but when I tried scanning them in they appeared as a PDF file witch I cannot edit properly to colour or remove any of the many smudges and grey areas.
Microsoft paint is all I have at the moment, so any advice with what I can do with my drawings on the computer would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
