I finally got to go see Interpol live, and it was great. Now the crowd was rather idiotic, the people on the left constantly shoving, and at one point I even fell down, but then during Say Hello To the Angels, Haley (best friend) and I escaped to the right side where all was calm... but honestly, Interpol was great. They sound amazing live, and they played almost all the songs I wanted them to... they didn't get ot Roland though, which was sad, but I got the rest I wanted.

Music should be considered a drug... it really should.

Anyway, I'm all excited due to the fact that this will be my last week of horrid middle school! *cheers* Monday is a half day, and then the dinner dance, Tuesday Graduation Practice in the morning and swimming in the afternoon, and then Wednesday is a half day of graduation practice, and then Graduation that night.... I'll finally be free. At least all the hectic projects are over...


Updates in drawing: I've got a lot of things I want to upload and CG and such... but I've been so busy. Summer will definetly help (though not the first weekend... I'm booked for 4 days with Graduation parties!) My 2 friends and I are starting our own manga... it's a rather slow process, but we already have a plot, and a rough design for the main character. My friend Chelsea and I will be drawing it, and then my other friend Badger will be doing most of the writing. We've got lots of great ideas, it's just getting them onto the paper that's hard!

Anyway, stuff that's been going on with me...

My band won 1st place at State, for the first time ever, making us the NUMBER 1 MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND IN ILLINOIS! I am very, VERY proud of that.... and in a twisted way that makes me the number one clarinet player in the state.... sort of... o_O... anyway, theres been much celebration over that...

Due to it being the year of horrid 8th grade, I had to buy a dress for the dinner dance.... I've never bought a dress before, let alone wearing one, so it was quite a new experiance for me..... It's pretty and black though, so that makes me happy...

My friends and I are absolute dorks, and we've started a Manga cult... Really, more like I started it. I began loaning out my mangas, letting friends buy them, and now we have a cult... And of course, the best way to do a cult heirarchy is the Roman Catholic style, so I'm the Pope... XD Yes, we're dorks... but that's alright...

I actually counted the mangas I have and I have 70.... sort of sickening yes..

At the moment I'm working on some drawings, one is fanart for this online manga somebody told me about (can't recall who at the moment) It's really good, and I love the art style so I'm drawing fanart (I have no life)

Today was great, because we went on this little tour thing to the younger schools and played them our music in band. We picked some holiday songs and little kid ones... the greatest part was when our conducter went "Ok kids, the next one I'm sure you've all heard of. Spongebob." and then the little kids all shouted with glee and excitement.... it's so funny! The other songs we played were The Mickey Mouse March, Santa Clause Is Coming To Town, When the Koalas do the Conga with the Kangaroos, (don't ask XD) Loui Loui, (yeah.. I think I spelled that wrong. That's also funny because none of the little kids recognize it by the name, but as soon as you start playing they all clap along with it) The Simpsons, Roudolf the Red Nosed Reigndeer, and finally Jingle Bells.

I also sang in the choir (Yes, I'm multi talented!) and we sang a song called the Bells. It's got Edgar Ellan Po lyrics. 'tis cool. Then we sang the classic Carol of the Bells, which everyone says we do excellently, and then we sang this song called My Grown Up Christmas List. It's really pretty, and all about world peace and shiznet. But it's nice sounding, so I guess it's ok.

Saturday... I was a bum. Completely. I sat on the couch and watched tv all day, and dozed on and off. I saw the reruns of that show LOST and it looks really good. So, I plan on watching it now.... The ONLY part un-bummish (is that a word? O_o') about Saturday was my solo-ensamble contest in the morning. I had to preform a solo in front of a judge at 9 fricken' 30 in the morning! *rants* Why must the world function so early? Yeah, I almost had a perfect, but the dude said I needed better dynamics. And you know what? My clarinet doesn't ALLOW for better dynamics. I want my wooden one... *sigh* Stupid plastic. All it knows is loud. Anyway, a perfect is 7 and I got 8. Still 1st division, but not perfect....

And then friday, wow... that was fun. Another 5 hours (at least) of DDR with Haley. We even broke out the DDRMAX, and had a memory thing..... yep. I missed that version. Although, even with the small improvements in DDRMAX2, it still seems so much better. (Especially the 5 songs per round rather than the 3 in the previous version. Such a pain! ) Anyway, I should probably get started on my homework now... ehehe.... *scurries off into some corner with portable CD player she's been addicted to all day* (Anyone ever heard of Heather Duby? She's wonderful. I love her music. Listen to it if you get the chance, especially Providence or Golden Syrup)

The next day I went to my soccer game that she also had to attend, and it was awesome (we beat the team we usually tie with 5-0! Oh yeah! ) after that we picked up those easy bake tollhouse cookies (you know, the cubes on the sheet) from my house, and then my friends grandmother just HAD to buy them new shoes (she bought my friend $100 ones! ;_; Darned rich people.....) and then we were forced to eat 20$ sandwhiches (hehe, I got soup instead... though I refused to eat it... 10$ for a tiny cup of soup! ) and finally when we were rid of the grandmother we went back to her house and made the cookies.... they were good. I only had one though, because they were supposed to be for this community Halloween hoedown dealy.... that my service group was having a bake sale at... so we dropped them off... and then my friends mom had the urge to make REAL homemade cookies... so we bought the ingrediance and did so (God... never EVER let Haley and I cook something.... *sigh* We ALWAYS screw something up...) And finally we got onto what we wanted to... which was going to see the grudge, and it rawked (19 people dead in very odd ways in one movie! It was great!) And then we went to this haunted house thing, and for a town haunted house, it was very good! (Must've taken them weeks to set up!)

Anyway.... I got to raid Haley's house when she went to church with her family the next day. And when they came back we finally did what had been planned for the weekend; we went to my friends house for trick-or-treating. Yep.... it was fun... silly rich subdivision, they give out so much!

And that was my weekend in a NUTSHELL! (I officially dub Haley's life to busy!) Yes... I put a new picture up, kenshiny! And the new id is up as well. So... comment darn it!
