Well, Xmas has passed. My nephew was completly ungratful to his mother for the little bit of gifts she was able to give him and his sisters. He is 10 and infuriates me so much sometimes. When my sister, his mother, explained to the kids that Santa was unable to visit their house, because he visited their father's(they're divorced), he began to cry and scream. I realize I was an ungrateful child once too, but the last time I had such a tamptrum was when I was 7. Then when he came to our moms house, their Omas house, he threw the blanket she hand quilted him into the garbage, because it was not a toy.

I can only blame his father for the disrespect he shows his elders and family. Every day it breaks my heart because he draws further and further from us, I only imagine what my sister must feel. Now as the season of brotherly love and hope has past, my hope that he will grow out this attitude goes with it. It seems that the times of respect has passed as well. I look out everyday and see kids that curse thier fathers, strike their mothers, and GET AWAY with it. A simple slap on the rear, or worse case scenario, across the face, would have fixed these problems swiftly when I was growing up.

Hey, it's movie night tonight and I really need an ibuprofen. I love my nieces and nephew, and I love Labyrinth, but listining to magic dance 6 times is a little extreme. Yeah, the first 3 times I sang along with my nieces and nephew, but then it got a bit old. You should have seen us when the Fireys came on, we all dove for the covers! Here I am 16, watching with my nephew 9, my niece 8, my youngest niece 5, and we hid from the fictional characters. But they are SCARY and CREEPY! Then of course, we threw popcorn at each other becase none of us would admit that we were scared of the bug-eyed, sharp-toothed, arsenic, head throwing, singing... birds. Heh, that's just us!

Hey, I don't normally do this, but... My niece, Summer, is having surgery tomorrow, and I'm asking anyone who finds this to pray for her. I appreciate it so much! Summer is just a doll, she's 5, but very smart for her age. She's already reading her brother's books, and he's in second grade! She is very lively and energetic, she's always bouncing around you, and you can't help but be in a good mood. And whenever she finds you hiding somewhere crying, she jumps in yor lap and tells you a story. Usually Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast.

Anyone who prays for her, I thank you. If you ever need someone to pray for you, or to talk to, I'd love to return the favor. Everyone's welcome. I'll update her recovery soon.
