I just had the most amazing weekend. Otafest weekends are always amazing though. But I think this year was better than last. This is our second time at Ota. Everything is a blur in my head as of right now, but what I do know is that everything was absolutely eptastic. I enjoyed myself a lot. Lots of fangirling, lots of pictures and lots and lots of sexy cosplayers~ *nosebleed* XP

The only downside to that weekend was that my monthly present from mother nature decided that it would pop in. So massive cramping and lots of crying on my part. I have a really high pain tolerance so for the cramps to make me cry, they were really bad. >> You probably did not need to know all that but whatever.

In other news... earlier during the week I was depressed and disappointed due to a letter I recieved. I won't go into detail about that cause I might get upset again. Fortunately this weekend made up for it. In addition the guy I am currently crushing on has made me the happiest girl alive n//n Hehehe, everyone thinks he likes me too, and I'm starting to believe that. He invited me to go out with him on Friday, then on Saturday, then on Tuesday to his aftergrad. I think I'm going to pass out from all the butterflies.

Okay... I think I will rant another time again... I need to go lie down before I pass out or something.

ZOMG Calgary Comic Entertainment Expo! Had loads of fun! I went as Sailor Mars and my best friend went as Sailor Jupiter! I wasn't expecting us to be so randomly popular! Countless people took our picture! Oh and my costume decided it was going to be fail and die... The gem on my tiara thingy fell off not even two hours into the expo. *tear* I must fix!

OMG there was like 5x the amount of people as there was last year. It was pretty intense! Crowded as hell! Also wearing heels all freaking day when you're not used them freaking hurts. I have an epic cut on my heel. It burns!

I got to meet Aaron Dismuke! Alphonse Elric's (FMA) English VA~ I got his autograph, picture and a HUG! X3 I love him he;s so adorable but gawd I keep forgetting how young he is. He's so tall though! *scratches face sheephisly* I think I might have scared the poor child. I didn't mean to honest! I'm just too fangirly for my own good. SORRY AARON! <3

EPIC COSPLAYERS FOR THE WIN! I have pictures posted on my facebook if anyone cares to look~ <3 It also made me realize that I am in desperate need of a new camera. Several pictures were fail becuase my cam refused to remain in focus. I've dropped the poor thing so many times. It needs to be replaced sometimes soon. OTAFEST09 NEWS!
Here's the gist of it all... I shall be going as Sailor Mars and Aerith (FFVII:CC Version).

The Sailor Mars cosplay costume I have, it just needs some minor adjustments, but it especially needs to be starched. The poor ribbons are gimped.

As for the Aerith cosplay costume. I have already ordered mine. And should be here in three weeks or so. =3

Yeah... unfortunately I did not make my costume again this year though I wanted to. I just did not have the time at all. *sigh*

I know all about overprotective parents but this is just ridiculuous. (Don't expect anyone to read this... Just need to rant...)

So one of my friends has invited me to go up to Edmonton with her next weekend. It was supposed to be an overnight thingfrom Saturday morning till Sunday afternoon. I was already half expecting my parents to say no, but the thing is they know this friend and it wasn't as if we were going by ourselves. We were supposed to go with her family, so there's parental supervision. One more thing that irks me is the fact that I'm 18 for Christ's sake and they still treat me like a child. I'm 18 not 8 goddamit!

The most irritating part I think is the fact that my dad refused to let me go with my friend for an over night trip and yet he had consented to let me study at the UofA, which is in Edmonton, and live with someone he hasn't met yet. WHERE THE F IS THE LOGIC IN THAT?! That just doesn't seem to make sense. That's BULL right there.

So I'm sitting here, hw completely forgotten, listening to Brittney Spear's "Overprotected" repeatedly because it's so fitting it's not even funny. I wanna cry, but I'm too hyper and frustrated to cry. That's a horrible combination by the way. I feel like I'm going to explode. GAHH!

Bwuahahaha, okay so its 1 am and I just came from a friend's birthday party. I swear I was like high on suger which doesn't make much sense considering I didn't have much with regards to sugar, artificial or natural. What surprises me is that I can still form coherent sentences after being freaked out by an amazingly confusing Korean horror movie. Hmm, oh I also had a bottle of breezers, which was delish, and couple sips of margarita, which was good and bad at the same time although I'm not sure I can explain that at this point in time. Wait there was one more thing... OH! I had a small slice of ice cream cake which i had initially wiped on my friend's face (Haha Liana I wuvvs you~ =3).

Moving on... Now that you know the reason for my extreme weirdness, not that I wasn't weird to begin with, down to business.

Oh heheh~ I remember! AVATAR! XP

I'm insane in the head I know. Anyboobies... So I was channel surfing the other day, first time I've actually sat down to watch tv aside from the Tagalog channels, and I came across Nickelodeon. I knew about Avatar for a long time but I never really got around to watching it. For some reason the episodes were like extremely back-to-back so I sat there watching it for like 6 hours. Blah blah blah... So this got me started on an "Avatar: The Last Air Bender" craze.

*breaks out into a fit of laughter* Okay yeah... I think I need sleep but omg, so I started watching Avatar from the beginning online and now I'm on like the last episode but its being gay and won't load fast enough, hence the journal entry so I can pass time without passing out XD

The best thing about this show is the lack of helpless little girls who scream out the lead character's name wanting to be saved. None of that damzel-in-distress bullshit.

*ahem* Oopsie Riri said a bad word. But seriously that helpless stereotype against females is very degrading and irks to me no end. It bothers me even now when my brain is not exactly working properly, although its doing a pretty good job of making sense of my blob of thoughts.

Cosplay Mania indeed, only not at that same time.

Anyboobies *snicker* ... ~xxlostwolfxx and I were deciding on cosplay outfits to pre order from ebay and being the awesome losers that we are we're getting sailor moon outfits! Hoorah!

She's going to be Sailor Jupiter and I is Sailor Mars~ (I can't believe I have to go buy and wear red pumps though. The face planting is inevitable!)

Blahh... I've decided that physics really isn't my thing, so I'm going to drop out of that class. With the way my mark is right now, if I don't drop the class my overall average will suffer horrendously.

Konbanwa! Woah I haven't been on for only about a month-ish but it felt longer than that.

Anywhoo...

What's new? Well a lot of things, but I'm not sure I can sort out my thoughts well enough to write about it all. Haha XP. I will try my best though.

So I've been watching Daa! Daa! Daa! and I absolutely love it. I'm in love with the characters especially Ruu-kun~ It's full of adorable, squee-worthy randomness. For those of you girlies out there, and boys as well, if you're looking for something cutesy this is the show to watch~ That's just my opnion though, but I think you should check it out regardless!

Oh! I got myself the new iPod Chrome or whatever the hell its called and I love it~ Hehehe mine's purple. =3 Been on a movie download spree since I got it. I'm surprised I haven't even used up half of the memory, but it's all good~

Been pretty stressed out lately with school and all. I'll be graduating at the end of this year and I'm scared and excited at the same time for university. I've been worrying my current marks though. I'm not doing as well as I know I can and its driving me nuts. It's got me all worked up about my applications for scholarship and university. I'm just hoping I'll be able to work something out.

I'm going to be attending either UofC or UofA, so I'm applying to both and even to UofL just cause. I can't decide between UofC and UofA though. Both of them offer great opportunities in regards to the course I want to go into, but I want to go to UofA for that away from home experience, corny as it sounds. But my problem is my mom. She won't let me go, and she won't even listen or even consider my reasons for wanting to go. I don't if she does it on purpose or not, and I really hope its not, but every time I try to talk to her she always somehow manages to guilty me into staying. I mean I still haven't completely settled on UofC either but still... *sighs* Stress and pressure galore. =_=

*tear* Currently I'm bestfriendless... So-chan (~xxlostwolfxx) went to Vegas with her family for two weeks. It's already been a week-ish but I miss her so much.

This must be what it was like for her when I left for LA last year. Whu-whu...

I keep having random moments, too, where I really want to quote something from a movie, show, etc. but it doesn't work very well without her around. Apparently its the same for her according to what she told me in her lest few text messages.

Hmm... okay actually my brain has shut itself down for the night and I can't remember what else I was going to post about. *sighs* Well, I'll try to at least update my journal more often. For now...

O.M.G. Gahh, I'm so tired and busy and gahh!

My work load is crazy and it doesn't help that stupid old me has a bad habit of procrastinating. I've got a ton of hw to do that's all due Monday.

My schedule this week isn't pretty either. Last week of cross country--that is unless we qualify for provincials. Tuesday night I have volunteering. The city meet for c.c. is on Wednesday and I think its all the way on the other side of the city. I have work Thursday. And omg the list just keeps going.

Bahh, if I don't make an appearance at all this week and the week after I might just be dead. Oh dear, lol kidding. But yeah... Rawr, wish me luck. I'm going to have to bust out my time managementness big time.

This week has been one thing after another. I'm so glad this weekend is going to be really easy for me.

Caught up on some sleep last night and the night before but I'm still pretty out of it.

Oh, on Wednesday we had the cross country meet. I'm disappointed since I didn't do as well as I should've or wanted. I ha forgotten there was a small hill on the course and well I almost twisted my ankle... Again. Anywho, I'm determined to do better this coming Wednesday. And I have to anyway, since we have to reach a certain time to be able to qualify. On with the exercises!

Considering the fact that my ankle has just healed -- so it tens to hurt when overused -- and that I'm out of shape I am proud to say that I was able to run a comelete 4km without having to stop and walk.

How was the first day of cross-country practice you ask? Terrific, abdominal muscle pain galore. This later resulted in the mother of all back pain -- which is still lingering on my lower back, and the textbooks in my backpack did not help.

Although I got a good deal of exercise in comparison to the last 2 or 3 months due to my blasted ankle injury, my legs are sore and my throat burns. Dehydration my friends is not a fun thing. I need to maybe lug around three water bottles at a time. Dang I lose water weight fast.

Hmm, okay today wasn't so bad. Math review was about the only homework I got but I know better than to take that for granted cause soon enough I'll be bombarded with so much hw I won't even touch my laptop at all for a while, unless needed. (wow long sentence...)

Apparently the social course I took has had the curriculum changed. Instead of learning about WWII we're doing ideologies, such as nazism and facism, instead and focusing main on classical liberalism. Not that I mind. Its very opinion based stuff and I like it like that, and besides I've studied WWII so many times before I don't think I need it much anymore.

X( I had to forfeit during a tournament because my stupid partner (is mixed doubles) didn't show up. My coach felt so bad. What I didn't understand was why we didn't bring our spares, I mean that's what they're for but noooo our spare wasn't there either. *sighs* Bleck, hopefully this year I'll get a better partner.

Weee, so my friends and I being the losers that we are planned a waterfight at a nearby water park (PWP). X3 It didn't exactly go as planned cause for one thing we had no water balloons; we ended up buy cheap party balloons instead.

Oh wel it was fun regardless :claps:. We ended up playing hot-potato with the party balloons which we did fill up with water. One of the balloons lasted a while but it ended up popping in my friend's face X3. Then we got ice cream!

Whu-whu, did anyone miss me?~ X3 Lol, I'm back in Calgary now! We're actually home a little earlier than planned but thats okay; I was missing the comfort of my own bed and my numerous plushies~

``MY WHEREABOUTS IN THE LAST FEW DAYS&./
Hmm okay so my last post or the last time I was OL was Monday night I believe... So from there; Tuesday morning my parents decided that we were going to check out of Palms Hotel and check into a different place. Something about the craptastic, old tub that wouldn't drain so it filled up with watery grossness and the broken phone and a disfunctional stove *shurgs*. Anywho, so we checked into a 2400 Motels, which was a few blocks down the road from Palms, and I have to admit it was way better n_n. My only disappointment was that due to the set up of the place--the rooms were actually little cottages that were spaced out around the lot owned by the motel. The distance from the main office and our room didn't offer much in regards to the internet connection. The signal was weak and the line wasn't secure either... but then again neither was the one in Palms. And this is why I have not been on in the last three days and being internetless for only that amount of time kinda sucks but it didn't really matter at all anyway. We were out for pretty much the whole day each day. It was fun though.
Tuesday we went to Whistler, which I have to say wasn't all the eventful. It was boring cept for the random cute/hot biker guys X3, that were literally everywhere you looked. I think they were having an event of somesort but yeah. The boys were the highlight of that trip . Oh, I also lost my sunglasses in a Starbucks there unfortunately T_T. After Whistler we went to Capilano Suspension Bridge. I loved the place, it was EPIC, and the bridge was spectacular but to be honest I was expecting it to be a lot higher up than it actually was and I wasn't expecting the bridge to be as secure as it was but then again it would've had to have been. It was a tourist spot after all. We ate at Burger King at some point and that was when my cousin decided it would a good idea to play with the ice machine and my brother and other cousin decided to have a competition which somehow ended up with ketchup all over our tray and somewhat on the floor. Haha...
Mmm, Wednesday we went to Stanley Park. We didn't really do all that much there. We were supposed to go to the Vancouver Aquarium there but that didn't happen; although I saw a bunch of agonizingly cute Asian boys who were volunteering for some youth group/camp thing and they were escourting the little kidlets into the aquarium . We took the trolley majig around the park, which was actually more of a guide/tour and it took all of 20 mins. There were awesomely huge trees though it was great~ And then there was the look out point over Lions Gate Bridge, which was designed by the same person who designe the Golden Gate Bridge in SF. After the park we went to a random seaside dock near the market place. The view was lovely. I wanted to stay and just sit there but everyone else was too on the go to stay in one spot. It kinda made want to get a seaside house or something. It was so refreshing and when it was quite it was so peaceful. It was an escape for me really. Which is why I miss the Philippines, lots of places to go to near the ocean/bays. It would be nice to go back sometime soon. Anyway then we went to some random mall thing that really didn't have all that many interesting stuff in it mostly kid stores. I did buy a small hair accessory thing from one of the booth vendors. It's this pretty, shiny, green butterfly barret type thingy. I'll probably post a picture of it when I can X3. OMG, then before we went back to the motel we stopped by Goldilocks! I misshed that place so much. Its a Filipino bakery and we got heaps of pastries and stuff to take home. My brother and I ate a lot of it in the van on the drive home though . Hmm, I can't remember which day this was but we aso went to the Telus Science Center. It was pretty much like the Science Center in downtown Calgary but it was better in some aspects. Alas! After the 12 hour drive, which actually turned to 14 due to unexpected traffic outside the city, we're finally settled in a hotel near Main St. Vancouver. Mmm, I think the place is called like Palms Hotel or something to that effect. I was planning on just going to sleep when we got here but that's out of the question right now. I slept too much on the drive here which was actually rather painful. The van was full of our crap and for one we had little no leg room. Second I had forgotten to bring one of my small pillows that I usually bring when we go for long drives. Well as a result of a four to five hour nap in a cramped vehicale with no pillows or means of comfort I woke up to a very stiff neck. I was literally couldn't move for all of ten minutes and my neck was so stiff and heavy that it felt like it would fall off any minute . Lol, at least I'm all better now, minus the fact that I've been constantly hungry since we got here. But it wasn't my fault that we didn't have any real food to eat until we arrived at the hotel. All I had from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm was a piece of toast, a handful of chips and a piece of chicken. I have an enormous appetite for someone my size and natural that didn't fill me up as much as I would've liked it to. My mom literally stared at me like this at the dinner table cause I was so hungry . Then shortly after that we went on a short walk around the area~ I noticed that the Asian restaurants are like pilled up one after the other. In one block alone I found five Japanese restaurant, three being a sushi restaurant and the other two were noodle houses. Then there are Korean restaurants all over the place its pretty epic actually X3. Oh! Also right next to our hotel is a little Filipino cuisine restaurant. It's awesome!~ Me being me and being 1oo% flip was very much amused~ Whu-whu~

Mmm, I didn't really get to work on any of my current projects nor did I come up with any new ideas. But that was probably mostly due to the fact that I spent 3/4 of the drive sleeping and singing to along at the top of my lungs to my dad's Ipod X).
I'm going to jet for now though. I want to read my book, well actually my friend's book. It's not the usual kind of book I read but its pretty good so far so I kind of want to finish it. If I get bored, which happens a lot and rather easily with me, I'll probably work on my other stuff or play Phoenix Wright~

Hehe, I think I mentioned in my previous journal entry that our stay at Elkhorn Resort was going to be short. To be honest I'm not all that disappointed to be leaving. Today kinda sucked. The before-hand planned river rafting and horse back riding trip all got cancelled because the resort is apparently not organized. We had inquired and pre-booked these trips and yet it didn't happen Unfortunate as it is... I spent most of the day swimming, again not that that's too much of a problem, and walking around the area. It was fun though, regardless of the cancelled trips. My brother and I got butterscotch ice cream! X3 Then we played pool volleyball in the 5 foot deep pool (not deep at all which was sad and the ball sucked muchlies but oh well) Haha, also we threw my cousin in the pool, which was epic; he almost did a belly flop. Killed myself laughing, but then i slipped and swallowed really nasty chlorine infested pool water .

Anyway, tomorrow, at some ridiculuous time in the morning, we'll be driving to BC. And you know wht sucks? It's a 12 hour drive! >_< Wahh, going to be so stiff. Ugggh. Blehh oh well at least the scenery will be nice. I'll take some pictures at rest stops with my craptastic camera Whu-whu~

YaY! I'm proud of myself~ Finally finished my first CG--Arana, Mermaid Princess [link] I know it really isn't much but I did my best and played around with what I know with PSCS3 and to be honest I'm pretty proud of the results even though its craptastic compared to other works . The background is crap though. Unfortunately none of the brushes I tried worked very well so I just stuck with a plain water look for a background. Now that I'm done with that I'll be working on completing the rest of my WIP's Rawr~
Hmm, I took really random pictures today while we were walking I'll probably be posting some of them for you guys to see and just cause I'm cool like that.
Anyway, I'm super tired, my eyes burn from all the chlorine and I didn't get much sleep last night thanks to the hallway light we have to leave on for my grandma. G'nite to all~

Well, I'm in Canmore now~ Hehe =3 I was surprised that the drive took less than three hours. To be honest I was kinda disappointed. I like long drives... that is only if they don't exceed 6 hours X3 cause then I start to stiffen. Well, when we got here at around like 4:00 pm or something I pretty much spent the rest of the day swimming. I was in to pool till around 10 pm ish The water was kinda gross but I wanted to go swimming so bad. Because of the pool rennovations near our place and my ankle being all gimpy for a while I couldn't go. Despite the random bugs in the water and for some reason it was salty too You know what else was a bit of a disappointment... Most of the guys I saw since I got here are either too young or too old; Lol XD Mehh, regardless its been good so far. It's kinda sad though. I found out just an hour ago that we're only going to be here till Monday. But I guess I'll make the best of it =3. After this we're probably going to make our way to Vancouver, whu-whu long drive!~ OH! Also I'm looking forward to tomorrow~ River rafting, horseback riding and more swimming! YaY~

I'm trying my best to get as much of it done as I can but recent events and my ever so short attention span have not been helping me much at all in this process . Oh, I've also been trying to somehow get my artwork that I got back from school onto here but ala my scanner is too small. I took photos of it with my craptastic digicam and it didn't turn out too bad but it wasn't the greatest quality either. So I might just upload that for the meantime and when I can a hold of a larger scanner I'll be sure to update that. Okay, I really should be studying for my final exam tomorrow, but as usual I keep getting distracted.

This time the cause of my distraction are the Vocaloids. I just think that they're just so epicly cute, specially in a few of the videos I just finished watching on the ever so popular YouTube. Seriously, this level of cute should be illegal X3. But that could just be my opinion.

I finally have the time to go swimming too~ So excited! Swimming = Can't wait~

The good news is, on the second week of August I'm off to BC for two weeks. The bad news, taking those two weeks off at work, I have to work full time for the rest of August. My free time will be cut down so bad. I'll be trying my best to get working on some stuff. And hopefully I'll be able to get a good number of them done before school starts.

Here's a list of current stuff I'm working on:
<sub>1. Tattoo Designs - These are actually just random doodles that I did in class cause I was bored...
2. BB & Raven - Haven't actually started on this one just yet, but I've got the image planned out in my head. A request made my nee-chan~ ~JelliOs
3. BBAqualad - Another image requested by my nee-chan, yaoi fangirl that she is n_n I've got this one planned out as well but have yet to get it started.
4. Utawarerumono Wallpaper - Not too sure about this one yet. But I want to make a tribute to it because the art is just so awesome~
5. Other - I've got some other pieces I'm planning on doing but there's no guarentee I'd actually do or finish them cause I'm just a loser like that. Although, if anyone has any requests feel free to ask and I'll see what I can do. Just be aware that it'll take a while for me to actually get started on it then actually finish it as I am a very active/busy person... I do a heck of a lot of other things... Plus I'm notorious for being a procrastinator.

Although I think I'm in dire need of a new one.
This one has the worst quality ever.
And the sad thing is, it doesn't even have any settings... Well that I know of anyway.
I should tinker with it more...

I've also decided that saving my money to buy myself new art suplies is so worth it.
Had so much fun coloring with my Prismacolor pencils.
It's pretty epic.

I've decided I'm also going to try and update my journal more.
But I've got way too many things going at one time.
My fault though, I like keeping myself busy
and to do that I usually do more then one thing at the same time.
Hehe... It's a good and bad thing really.

Anyway, this is me just rambling now.
I'm hoping to get more stuff posted soon.
I've got some really random tattoo designs I've been working on.
So hopefully I'll be able to get those scanned and enlarged (all in a mini sketchbook ) soon.

It wasn't as planned out as I thought it was. We took a lot of side trips and didn't end up going cherry picking. We somehow ended up in Southern BC and yet the place we were supposed to be was in Northern BC. That's like 8 hours worth of driving... It felt longer than that too. Had the worst cramps from sitting in the car for so long. >_<

Unfortunately I didn't get to finish any of my sketches. I have two unfinished ones. But on the plus side, the drive gave me some ideas I just have to put them on paper.

Despite the fact that my brother and I were bored out of our wits for half of the trip--we were the only teenagers there, everyone was oooold--it had some good points. We found this little amusement park-ish thingy that had hand made figurines or some such thing. It was pretty cute. It was called like Enchanted Forest or something and I discorvered I can still fit in the tiniest of spaces There were these little houses that was supposed to be part of the attraction but also a playground type thing for the little kids. And I discovered that I can go inside and I still fit. Hehehe... weird thing to add to that is... I saw my ex... it didn't really register that it was him till we left. I was like o_o Ehh?!? Yeah that was pretty epic. Wasn't expecting that...

Ooohh, another plus was that I saw a really cute stable boy and a really hot Australian guy at some random resort!~

Otafest was out of this world awesome. Although a few people were telling me that it wasn't as great as last year's, which unfortunately I wasn't able to attend. But whatever... It was awesome nonetheless!
