Guys, I am stressed beyond belief for some personal issues at home and I'm doing all I can to keep things cool. But just know that I've been better.

My new band discovery is a band called "Volcano!", and if you like Radiohead you should check them out. I have 2 of their songs on my playlist at the moment. I've also just got into "The Prodigy", they're a lot like Pendulum, another recent discovery.

Yeah. Not really on an art block at the moment, it's just the pictures I'm working on are taking a surprisingly long time to finalize. They're almost done though. So yeah.

Oh, also, I got a Beck shirt, it's got the cover for the "Where It's At" EP track on it, which is pretty kewl. On top of that I got Franz Ferdinand's debut album (which was not as good as I thought it would be) and I re-bought The Strokes's debut album, "Is This It?". (since my stupid computer quit recognizing it...)

I'm quite happy that Kenneth is actually becoming a successfully developed character, since the other characters I've made have sort of... failed. I'm trying to revive some of them, but it's not really turning out to be very successful. At least I've got one.

By the way, I've been less active lately thanks to my sister who keeps hogging the computer and playing freakin' flash games for 5 hours straight...

1] I've got lots of nicknames. Kenneth being the self-given one, Curly, Frodo, Sandwiches, and Marvin were all given to me. Marvin is probably the one that I'd rather you use on me if you were to use one of those. Even though it's not a nickname, Asterisk is sort of one of my titles. When I can't think of anything else to put in the name slot (god forbid, I never put a name

) I would always put Asterisk. At least, if it's not my username. And it isn't usually. Because people take it.

2] I like to draw. Haha. Betcha didn't know that. I draw all the time, and something you probably don't know about it is that I usually fail the first few times I sketch something out. Wait, scratch usually and write ALWAYS. I can never get something to turn out the first time I draw it, so whenever I get something drawn it took a lot more effort than it looked like it did. Some of my pictures, however, took a lot less effort than it looks like they would have taken. Kind of weird how that always ends up.

3] I play the bass guitar. My dad has one that I just picked up and started playing out of the blue. Right now I'd say that I'm doing pretty good, the song that can probably best testify my talent is 3's And 7's by Queens Of The Stone Age. I just recently learned that one. Among my favorites to play are Wraith Pinned Upon The Mist by Of Montreal, Reptillia by The Strokes, Parallel Universe by The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Day I Tried To Live by Soundgarden. Plus, I don't play it quite right, I still strum. I'm working on it though.

4] I sing. I'm in Concert Choir at our school and I did a solo and 2 ensembles at a contest. My 2 ensembles both got 1's and my solo got a 2. By the way, a 1 is a good thing and a 2 is an ok thing. I did mess up my solo though. Oh well.

5] I play the trombone. Recently, there was an event called "Rhythm and Hues" at our school that kind of made me want to join jazz band. The probability of me doing it is fairly low, but there still is one, and it excites me that I might be able to do it. If I do do it I'll have to do band for half a year and jazz band for the other half. Mr. Churchill (the band teacher) won't let me quit band for it because he says he needs me for marching season. I guess it makes me feel somewhat important. Oh, and I'm doing an ensemble with 3 other trombones in about a month, and it's sounding pretty good. I'm excited.

6] I am obsessed with music. Music intrigues me. The way you can just pop in some headphones and be able to indulge yourself with entertainment without even fully engaging yourself. Once I entered the music craze I started to find that the more boring things I had to do in my life had become a LOT less boring. I listen to lots of stuff, most of it is stuff that people who only listen to whatever the radio spoon-feeds them have never heard of. I love to listen to bands like Beck, The Strokes, Of Montreal, Muse, The Mars Volta, and lots more. Soon I'll probably have a list posted in my gallery. (yes, my gallery.)

7] I put a lot of care into what I wear. (haha I made a rhyme) I pay attention to what outfit I'm wearing, and it usually clashes. I'm fully aware of it, too. I intentionally make it clash. My outfit mainly consists of some black t-shirt, usually my "Refuse A Corporate Life" t-shirt or my Muse t-shirt. (I'm hoping to get a shirt for Radiohead or The Strokes very soon) I wear a plaid button-up shirt over that, or sometimes a brown long-sleeved pinstripe button-up shirt when it gets cold. When it gets really cold, I wear a jacket. My pants are usually jeans, sometimes plaid shorts, jean shorts, or khaki shorts. My khaki pants are really big on me, so I don't wear them often. I wear Converse shoes, I have a variety of colors, but my favorite ones are the black ones and the red ones. So I mixed them. As it turns out, red, black, and white (all Converses have white) makes up my favorite color combination, if you haven't noticed. To top off the entire attire, (haha another rhyme-- I'm getting good at this) I wear a blue striped tie on a black background. Sometimes I wear my brown hat. Sometimes.

I have some artwork that I've been wanting to submit, but it hasn't loaded any of my images... I don't know what's wrong, but it's really aggravating me.

On top of that, Windows Internet Explorer will not keep me logged in dA for some reason, so I can't use it to submit artwork.

My picture, "Polaroid" has been entered in =gabbyd70's color contest. Wish me luck, because there are a LOT of entries, including some from =thegirlinthebigbox, who is insanely good with color.

Anywhoo... Not much going on in my life except for the hectics of school... God help me.

I've got 4 A's, 1 A-, 2 B+'s, and 1 B on my second grade report, so I guess things are going pretty smoothly. I also got positive compliments in each of my classes except for 2, and they're in classes I wasn't really expecting any for. (Band and Advanced Business Computers; Band has like 100 members and Advanced Business Computers just had a teacher quit her job and someone else filled her position so yeah not really sobbing over it) But the comment that really made my day was that my Art I teacher told me that I was "Unusually Imaginative". The exact impression I wanted to make in that class. And I made that impression in less than a quarter. *euphoric*

So yeah, Labor Day was amazing, I was out of school (which was amazing in itself) so we went to Panera Breads and then to Hastings and I found out about this awesome manga that you guys HAVE TO CHECK OUT!!! It's called Azumanga Daioh and it's like one of the funniest mangas I have ever read. EVER!

And to answer the question that may arise, "D-Men" is sort of a spin off of "X-Men", I was quite unoriginal in my 5th grade days. Please don't judge me for that... :3

Oh yeah, and band camp is now officially over! So yeah, while I was there I found out that one of my colleges,

, has a DeviantART account. So yeah, check her page out, she's got some really cool stuff. I personally think she's better than I am.

So yeah, a senior in band asked me to design a t-shirt for the saxes, I'm supposed to draw and color an emo duck. That's gonna be interesting. Apparently the way they remembered the rhythm of the notes in a section was like "duck-duck-emo-duck-emo-duck-duck-duck-emo... *pause* ...cut cut cut", or something to that effect. It was really hilarious, but according to my friend it worked really well. So that's why she wants the shirt with the emo duck on it.

I'll be gone... again... for a trip to Texas, starting Sunday. I think late Sunday this time, so I'll be able to say bye and everything. I guarantee that I will be able to get on DeviantART for a good portion of the trip, plus I will have a good opportunity to draw. So, this may actually be a very good opportunity to focus on art.

School is closing in... FAST. And for once, I'm actually excited about it. I want to see my classmates again, and I'm really excited about my art class. Plus, I'll be doing Concert Choir this year, so that's gonna be really fun. I love singing. You don't know how often I'm singing while I'm on the computer. It's scary, yes. Deal with it. Oh, and most of all, I draw a whole lot while I'm in school, so be ready for a deviation overload! (I hope)

Renard's foxlike features were with her from birth and are puzzlingly unexplained. She carries on with life as normal and people have grown accustomed to her ears and tail, but she tends to be left out of things a little more often than not. She wears her light brown jacket everywhere she goes, she even wears it around her waist during the summer.

Renard is a talented artist and draws whenever she can. She's not into social groups, recreational activities, or anything like that. She tends to draw herself often, but when she draws herself she leaves out the ears and the tail.

Renard does have a secret admirer, he hasn't revealed himself yet, but she's already ruled out all the people in the crowd she hangs out with, which means it's from a social group higher up. He signs all his notes as "@#$", which she thinks means that his initials are "AHS". She thinks she's wrong because she doesn't know anyone in her grade with those initials.

She does have 1 friend (Dani) that she hangs out with a lot, but she's disappeared, thought to be dead. Dani is sort of... emo... but Renard doesn't believe that she was suicidal. Lately, Renard has been spending some time at home looking for information on her possible whereabouts. The biggest hole she's found so far is that she supposedly "committed suicide" at the same time as she went to her date, in which her boyfriend admitted that she was there.

Renard is collectively shy in nature, but she tends to speak her mind whenever she actually engages in a conversation. She tends to stare off into the distance a lot before she draws something on paper. Because of this habit, she tends to zone out whenever someone is talking to her and she is always misunderstanding other people or not hearing what they said. She also has a strange affinity to pears, she always has a pear in her bag or where she's drawing.

MY IPOD IS OUT OF BATTERIES!!! I'm gonna ask the people at the front desk if they have a USB port that can let me charge up my iPod, but otherwise, I have to go the entire trip without an iPod. (for my sake, pray there's a USB at the front desk for me...) Another catastrophy: I CAN'T FIND MY PENCIL!!! It looks like there won't be many art coming in when I get back... I have drawn a little Muse logo, since today I've pretty much been obsessed with Muse. I'm gonna finish digitalizing Sleep and start digitalizing the Muse logo when I get home.

In other news, I'm still working on Fox Girl 2. I may be exerting a bit TOO much effort for this picture, but I want it to be my best picture yet. It's not there yet, but it's coming close. Anyway... Yup, I passed with a 72, so I just barely made it. I'll tell you what it is, though. It's a picture based on the lyrics for one of my favorite Beck songs, Elevator Music. One of the lyrics in the song says "Dead Flowers Grow 'Till The Dirt Gets Wet". I have a picture of a dead flower and wet grass with the roots showing. I like it alot. Here's a link to the song with a very cheap vid along with it. My birthday's next week and I'm so excited, I think I should probably tell my parents what I want real soon though, they might go off and buy something I don't want >.> <.< Well, for my birthday I'm having a reuinion with my best friends from my old school, that is going to be so much fun, especially since I'll be bringing friends from here and they can meet each other.

I will be hopefully virus free tomorrow, but I'm still having slight doubts that viruses isn't the main problem. If it is I will be really happy because that would mean that our computer will be running a lot more smoothly than it has. What was wrong with the computer was that when we got on the internet it wasn't loading the pages. I would get on and try and load a page, but it would take about 10 minutes (literally) to load just about any page.
