My friend , whose blue fox avatar you may recognize from my previous artwork, is having to fight DeviantART over his pixel pieces. I managed to twist :devMadameHumpfrey:’s arm last minute, so she ended up coming with me. I didn’t really want to be alone because without someone there I can get a little bipolar in my interactions with others… She even gave me an excuse to visit the Phoenix Wright photo shoot on Friday since she cosplayed as Adrian Andrews from the second game. She was the only Adrian there, and there weren’t a lot of side characters there either. Pretty well off, eh?

On Friday I cosplayed as Muffy. BAD IDEA. Muffy has killer heels, and my feet were hurting by the first hour. By the end of the day, I wasn’t limping; that’s only because I couldn’t favor either foot. I so looked like a Silent Hill nurse by the end of the day! I guess you could call it hobbling. Luckily, Xena had flat shoes, so we would periodically trade off.

In the newspaper on the day of the convention it said that over 9000 (yes, I did shout “It’s over 9000!” had pre-registered, and it certainly showed: the pre-registration line was two hours long. It was huuu~uuuge! We should’ve left at 6AM instead of 10PM. My fellow pre-registered group-members passed the time by making fake bruises on their faces (since they weren’t cosplaying that day, they didn’t worry about how they looked). Charlie, who was a white mage, kept getting attacked by a guy with a Tonberry plushie. They almost had a truce, but then Charlie said no, so Selena sold him to the guy for $1.31. (Yes, I don’t understand it either.)

Sadly, the regular line was FOUR HOURS LONG. And Xena, who had spontaneously signed up, had to suffer through it all! Sometimes it didn’t move for fifteen minutes. Since I got out a whole two hours before her, I hung around the Artist’s Alley on the sky bridge and the end of the registration line. The registration line is where I ended up meeting a Lithuania (~Hisoka-kun) and a Russia from the Hetalia series! It turns out the cosplayers were fans of Harvest Moon and ended up recognizing me! <3 <3 We took pictures of each-other and discussed the sheer length of the line before I left to allow the extension of the registration line into place.

At around 2:30, ~Madame-Humpfrey finally got out of line, so we headed down to the Phoenix Wright photo shoot then. We were there for a good half-hour before the two of us got bored (only one Edgeworth … ): ). Then off we went to the 4th floor lobby! Did you know that no one is allowed to sit on the staircase? Apparently it’s a fire hazard. People kept getting told to get off the staircase, which sucked for the ones in really heavy costumes… or heels.

We went to the Dealer’s Room, which was just as expensive and fun as it always is. There were some amazing deals that I didn’t take advantage of as I was saving my money till Saturday. I actually spent NOTHING on Friday because Melissa brought about thirty tacos for lunch. Xena, however, bought a T-shirt that said "I Believe in Miles Edgeworth" in the style of the "I Believe in Harvey Dent". The person who was running that shop was cosplaying as Britain (or UK) from Hetalia, so you can say we both got something from that shop.

I spent the night over at Xena’s house. She has two cats, a dog and a bunny! We slept with the door open, and I had one cat (who’s named Miles and acts a lot like him) in bed with me ALL NIGHT LONG. ARGH ARGH ARGH CUTE! But he was a heat vacuum in a cold bed, which kind of sucked… I mean, at least Butter’s warm…

On Saturday I was at a community service thing because Xena’s mom had promised that she and Xena would be there. We were packaging potatoes into ten-pound bags to be sent to food banks. We must have bagged more than two thousand pounds of potatoes…

We made it in for the second half of the cosplay skits, and the winner was hilarious! The skit was called “Sora the Explorer” and it was a crossover parody of, yes, Dora the Explorer! Sora had to go:

'M cosplaying as Muffy, but I don't have any lace or bows, just a plain costume--think of it as N64 quality graphics... (Not that she was in any N64 versions of Harvest Moon.)

Uwah~! isn't going to Sakuracon this year 'cause she's in New York watching Broadway shows and eating a Matzo birthday cake! ... *suddenly feels better*

Anyways, some random things that have popped up:

-The problem with the Phantom of the Opera is that it is essentially not a very good book. Flaws in the subsequent versions can be attributed back to, yes, flaws in the original. I'm sorry, but I hate the Persian.

-Been having some awesome dreams over the past few days. I've technically driven but actually walked on I-5. I've conciously said/thought, "This dream is bulls**t, I'm changing it." I've been taking a middle school level mathematics class in high school. I've saved Leslie from an extremely good-looking duplicate of Jonathan (I was the real Jonathan, of course). I've even gotten to embrace Erik, the Phantom, although it was originally my Chemistry teacher. (That was awkward, expecially when I realized my, ahem, state.)

-I think I hate the snow. It's keeping me away from all my dearest friends. Ski-pants are comfy, though.

-I got Hodius as my Guardian in ~Narsilion's Equira quiz. I'm so lucky...

-I need to get Dad's present, BUT I CAN'T LEAVE THE HOUSE BECAUSE OF SNOW. Crap.

-You know what I really, really want for Christmas? The Gerard Butler version of Erik has a three-piece suit with a really sexy cravat. I want that suit, a fitting one. Reference "The Music of the Night" for details? Maybe I'll just doodle myself in it.

The oldest one on the list is... Erestor! That elf was the cutest in fan art and I loved his sarcastic nature in fan fiction. (I also liked the pairing Glorfindel x Erestor, go figure.)
The newest one on the list is... the Nazi! No, he's not really a Nazi, he's just the ghost of a French soldier who had to escape the Axis by dressing in the Nazi uniform but got shot by his own trigger-happy side. He also has a square jaw and cheek bones so prominent you could cut diamonds with them. Mmm...

2. Which one do you think you spend the most time obsessing over? (IE drawing, writing fanfiction, playing games they're in, etc)

I currently spend most my time obsessing over the Nazi, but Mr. Peng has gotten most of my attention over time. Close second: Erestor, who I used to get up at 4 AM for to read fanfiction.

Well, it's a bit late for that now... I've already married Dr. Doom. But! if I had my time again, I wouldn't want to marry any of them. It would all end in sorrow...

They'd all be equally lousy. Maybe Miles? But he'd call Phoenix's name all the time during his orgasms. He's that uke. It would make me a little depressed.

Erik. Without a doubt.
Dr. Doom is second, though he has a bit more scruples; he wouldn't want to hurt an innocent.

Both Erestor and Snape would be good choices, since they're teachers, but Miles and Peng are too flashy; it would be distracting.

So tomorrow, it is highly unlikely I'll be online. I'm getting ready that day for a trip to Eugene, Oregon, to visit my dad's side of the family. I haven't seen most of them in five years; I messed up my last opportunity because I... failed... two... classes... *nyoron~n* BUT! I am 99.99% positive I will be going to visit them! (The .01% is the horrible accident we may get into on the way there. I'm cautious...)

I'll be gone from Sunday until Thursday on the trip. I probably won't get online then, either.

Thursday night, I'll have crashed into bed, and will not be online.

EDIT: Well, as some of you might already know, I did actually go online. I saw a couple of items *DJ-Uni-Mekaju posted but I hadn't gotten to yet. I also had a long winded discussion about ordering Miles Edgeworth off a menu with ~boredhorror, some stamps for the Lake School with ~fantasi-freak, and the bling in Redd White's urine with ~Boofeh. Still, I shouldn't be online after four o'clock (Pacific Standard Time) on Friday.

Friday through the Sunday after next, I'll be on a youth retreat. I WILL NOT be able to get online FOR SURE. And who knows for sure?

So I probably won't get on until... the Monday after next.

I went on Saturday only as Winry Rockbell in her town outfit and I was with , who was Envy. Now I'm going to squeal about it, so... yeah...

I had just entered the con from the drop off area when who do I see? Why, it was none other than Miles Edgeworth! So I squealed with delight, ran over and got his autograph. I saw the same Miles over on the other side of the Registration Room... I shouted his name, but he didn't look up... prolly cause the room was HUGE.

It took me a little while to get registered... since I forgot to get my PERMISSION SLIP SIGNED... *sigh* But I got in anyways. I'd just gotten into the lobby area when I saw... ANOTHER EDGEWORTH!!! If my internet sources tell me correctly, it was . He was with NinjAttorney of CosplayDotCom fame as Phoenix Wright and a Maya, although I'm not sure who was cosplaying as her. So then I got them to sign my autograph book. I also got a picture of him doing the Angsty!Edgeworth pose, the one where he grips his upper arm and turns his head the opposite direction of his gripped arm... but a friend of a friend of a friend took it... so I don't know how to get it... :tear:

~fantasi-freak was getting an insane number of photo requests... but about half way through the morning she realized: she was still wearing her Crocs! Whoops! And then in most of her pictures she wore cat ears... I highly doubt there's more than five pictures where she's wearing neither Crocs nor cat ears.

Cosplay Chess Was GORGEOUS! I've been searching all over YouTube, but there are, like, only three clips... And none of them have the Waitress!Phoenix and Waitress!Edgeworth. Grrrrah... Wants pictures so bad...

I fufilled a dream I've had for quite a while now! I-I... I got to pull Edgeworth's cheeks! Not just any Edgeworth: it was ~KaZzu! And he was still in the waitress outfit! I heard he was at the doors after the Cosplay Chess so I practically ran down to see him. I was all right asking for his autograph, and it was only sort of difficult to work up to correcting the Angsty pose... but asking to pull his cheeks was the most difficult thing I've ever asked of a stranger... But I was so happy when he said yes! It didn't matter that my boots with the four inch heels were giving me blisters, that the only Franziska I saw rejected my autograph, or I left in the middle of the cosplay skits because it had started to snow where I lived. It was the best moment all day, even better than the only hug I recieved.

There are more things that happened that day, but it's starting to get late. Heh... sorry it's all about Edgeworth, I'm really happy... although I'm worried I scared him... Please forgive me, ~KaZzu!

and I have been working on a story (or set of stories; it's too long and convoluted for one journal entry) for nearing a year. It's about a boarding school that's on an "island" in the middle of a "lake"--the physics are complicated. The school is for magical creatures; vampires, werewolves, simulacra, fairies, cat-girls--the whole lot. The teachers are usually either original characters or they are simulacra of famous fictional characters, only with a... well... twist... (The Phantom of the Opera, who is the Choir director, is a pushover; Captain Jack, who helms the Boating classes, is prone to yelling "PRACTICE!" everytime someone says "practice".)

The "start" of our story (again, the set of stories...) is when by a seeming mistake, two humans are sent to the school--even though no human has gone to the school for several hundred years. One, Amy, finds that although she may be too frightened in Choir to sing, she has a skill for magic circles and exorcisims in Equipped Magic 1. The other, Jen, finds difficulty in Beginner's Flying but excells at punishing smart coments in Basic Combat. The two overcome various obstacles such as:

*The librarian's... quirks. (He runs into the green houses during the winter, because they're south of the library. He crows in the morning. He jumps onto things when he's suprised. He pops up everywhere, even the girls' locker room. He's colorblind. Those quirks.)
*An already irate parent becoming possesed by an evil necklace.
*The cunning Chad tells Victor: "If you don't have a date to the school dance by the time the rest of us have one, you'll have to ask Jen." Then he wagers with Jen that Victor will be asking her; if he does ask, she'll have to say yes. Guess how that ends!
*The school musical. (The school, as in the building, does the casting... and it's all... so ironic...)
*An exchange program--with the Mary-Sue Academy and the Protectors of the Plot Continuum.
*Saving the world--using time parodoxes. (It works... somehow...)

Now why have I mentioned this? That is because... I have... a propostition!

We're low on students; all important students that are ACTUALLY MAGICAL that we've figured out are vampires, with the sole exception of Christine, a werewolf. (Well, maybe not sole, but pretty close.) So we need some more students... That's why I'm recruiting you guys! So, can you help populate this school with lovely magical students? The only requirement for the school is: the characters have to make a 29 OR LOWER on the Mary-Sue Litmus test. Think of it as an entrance exam, ne?

I was searching for my DS charge cord in cleaning my room this morning when I found the neck band to my USB drive. And you know what was attached to it? My USB. Go figure, huh? How weird is that? I've been reading The Truth by Terry Pratchett over again, and I believe one of the funniest scenes in the entire book, if not the funniest scene, is on page 97 through 98. What is it? It involes Otto von Chriek and Weeellll... I won't say exactly what is on that page (mostly because I don't have the book by me right now) but it involves a Black Ribboner and a flash camera... er, flash iconograph. Well, I decided to out do her laugh and started cackling evily. When I finally finish, though... half the people start cracking up, and the other half looked like their heart failed. Good times...

Same sort of thing happened yesterday. Our English teacher said that our class was "as silent as the grave." To which I replied:

"Braaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnssss."

And then the class laughed and laughed...

I got to use the scanner in Art and Design today, so I have seven pics to upload. I would have more, but we had a fire drill. (On the last school day of the month, too... our school is such a procrastinator...)

I've just been reading all the fan art. And you know what? The fan art makes me want to play the game. I'm trying to get a friend of mine to let me borrow her PS2, then I'll try to rent the game itself from Hollywood Video.

Anyways, Zexion caught my eye because of a Quizilla quiz that told me I was Zexion. And I thought, "What if I am Zexion?" And my mind went through little bizarre mild-yaoi spree with a Xig/Zex romance...

I want to draw the whole idea I have, but I'm 1) bad at comics, 2) running out of ink, 3) unable to scan any of inked works, and 4) using a mouse to draw, so everything must be big if it's going to look good. I did get one thing almost completely inked, but, eh... it's men kissing, and I can't give it to my mom to scan. Sigh...

1) Art does not automatically pop up when it is searched. I have searched Glaceon several times (greater than or equal to 3). But does my Glaceon pop up? No.

(Actually, I thought about this, and I realized that it would be redundant to find your own pictures in search. This thought is open for comment.)

2) The message alert is wacked up. I clicked the message sign that said "3 messages" (three messages). The next page was partially loaded when the screen finally said "Done"--but there was only "1 message" (one message)! I try one more time, and I have ABSOLUTELY NO (0) MESSAGES!

3) There are at LEAST fifteen (15) Pikachu entries for the Gijininka Pokedex, possibly more. At least one-third (1/3) have Pichu as well; at least one (1) has Raichu with Pikachu.

All other things learned about the Pokemon Gijinka will be mentioned under request.

Now I shall drown my sorrows in angsty Queen and ELO songs*, Chai tea, and oekaki boards.

*With an occasional Journey of the Sorcerer, because there's nothing like epic banjo music.
