Suffice to say WOW! I haven't been onto this account for at LEAST six months!! Nearly 1000 deviations in my watch and god knows how many messages!!! And I haven't posted a journal for nearly A YEAR!!! God, I've been through three jobs and christ knows what else in that time!

However, I think the time has come to bite the bullet and say goodbye to this account. I no longer use it, instead relying on my subscribed modelling account to watch all my favourites.

Over the next week or so, I'll be going through and adding a few ppl to my new account to watch the great art that I'd forgotten about. Should anyone want to "keep in touch" (for lack of a better term) note me on here and I'll remember to log in a few times over the next couple of weeks. I don't really want to publicise my new account on here as I've made a lot of big changes in my life this last year and the things I used to do under this name are no longer such a big part of my life.

Whilst I do have a cold, that's not what's kept me away! My lovely internet connection decided to die. Without explanation... It's been on the fritz for the past fortnight, but last Thursday it decided that it wanted a vacation and just declined to come back on. It's still wiggy at the moment (I've spent an hour on hold today over this issue) and it's died twice tonight, but it's been holding steady for a good few hours now, so *fingers crossed* it keeps up from now on! I'm 90% sure the problem is in the line as I've changed the modem cables, had the modem tested and done everything under the sun to check the hardware on my desk and around the house and this phone line has ALWAYS been issuey - you still get an earful of static even with filters on the line!!! But to get a tech out here to look at the ADSL side of things, I have to call the ISP who then call the phone company to arrange it. Then somehow, we arrange a time that's good for me without me actually talking to the phone company... And then the phone company calls the ISP company who calls me to tell me when they'll be here! Yes... That really is the system!!! Even the guy at the phone company admitted it was silly! He was very nice and very apologetic about it all...

Needless to say... I'm SO sick of being on hold and listening to CRAP music and talking to idiots who don't bother to tell me the info I need in the first place! Took the bloke two minutes this afternoon to tell me what I needed to type in to recalibrate the modem... They could have told me that a week ago! Bunch of raving monkeys! And to add to it all, the ISP technical "assistance" is business hours - 9am-5.30pm! What use is that to anyone these days??? And they knock off BEFORE 5.30 too 'cause I've called before then and been told to call back during business hours!

Anyway... It's all fixed up - for now! So until it dies again, I'm back in business!

Thanks for the 70 odd deviations that I had to look at, although DA going into maintence mode for HOURS did stop me getting through them as fast as I would have liked, but I am through them now!

Here I am...

Sitting at the desk... Preparing to upload some pictures of psycho cat.

And a thought came across me as I was shuffing amidst the papers and crap next to me in an effort to locate my cable.

How many USB cables do I have? I get one with every new gizmo, because of course, we all need a new cable for a new gizmo! I know odd hand where THREE of mine are. But I am fairly certain there is at least another one or two floating around SOMEWHERE in this...bottomless pit of junk that is my home!

So... How many do YOU have? I know a lot of you have way more gizmos and gadgets than I do, so how many cables do you have? And what do you do with them? I'm considering what I can do with all my "spares" and would welcome suggestions! I'm thinking some sort of modern art is in order...
