Well I have been busy and working on a lot of projects. one being my latest submission. I will post more on the Wreath in my scraps and I hope a link to a short video as soon as I make it shorter. I have posted the project of the moment in my scraps. I intend to show every part of the process other than the pounding out of the helm Base(that part was done a while back). all sketches and metal work progress will be posted in scraps until its finished. Some pieces will make deviation but others will have to wait until the helm is assembled.

I have a few other odds and ends in the works and they will appear as I finish them.

Also Thank you everyone for the Favorites and watches. These keep me driven to produce more. Praise can be a great motivator.

As promised more art work. Gorget 5 is done and has a new home. I finished it this morning and it was purchased before I even was able to finish polishing it. This was to be a personal piece but its new owner will do it more good than I as it will be used as the armor it was intended to be. I would have only worn it to look sharp and to show off my skill. I guess I need to create another. I have a few Ideas already!

Greetings Deviants and Most Gracious Watchers.I finally have taken a moment to sit here at the computer and update my other world of my newest arrival.

Astel Eva Miller was born Oct 12 at 9:50am. I have to post some pictures but that's not a problem. Just everyone bare with me as I am not a photographer.

Things are still just insane. My day job has been very involved and just day to day living seems to keep me away. My metal work seems to be hanging over my head as I try to excel in my job. I have been metal working just not much to note and I really have not had time to sit at my computer to document my craft. Never was good at writing as most of you can tell. I express myself woith my metal.

By the way. I would like to push a little here. Please support Your fellow artist. Go poke a look at the DDs and voice your thoughts. I to need to do this more as well. I owe it to those who supported me and checked out my work. Without that support some folks might give up when they shouldn't. They just need a little pat on the back to encurage them and keep them driven.

I have started assembling my latest etch and have some casting to draw up for master. The Razor, hummmmmmm I will post a pic of it in scraps here soon as it sits. I want to do more with it but not sure if its the one to do it to. I may just call it the test razor.

I am also starting to get ready for a piece part cast, part etched based on the deviation Infinity by Whom has given permission for me to play ( Thank you very much again by the way.) and work with the drawing inspired by a early Celtic artifact. I have reversed the original artwork so when I start my resist it will com out looking very much like the original.

I also have started poking with the bronze fibula Idea again thanks to for the examples she has sent me. (Thats the casting to draw up for masters).

I recently finished the first part of the riveted Mail drape for a SCA legal Norse helm. The drape will be mounted similar to the coppergate helms mail drape. The rough of the helm is assembled (has been for a bit) and ready for me to start shaping the brass for the ridge and nasal/ocular areas. So far I have about 18 hours invested in this helm and it looks like I will double that easily and the helm will most likely never see combat. Gotta love it!!!

Well I etched and cleaned and posted the back of Gorget 5 in scraps and finished my little Broach I spoke of. Razor is next. Once I get that done I will shape and mount the Gorget etchings. They take a bit to protect the images. I hate messing up hard work. I will try to remember to shoot and post as I go with the Gorget.

I finished etching another gorget I have started. I posted the photo of it in scraps pre-etch a while back. I should have the post etch up tomorrow.

Yep, its warmer here!!!!!!! Sorta like a new year tease of whats to come. I have done a little forging and I have dug out those forgotten projects that were buried in the move. I will be posting soon a broach pin I cast, a razor I forged last weekend, and with the photos I was sent (Thank you Irlandka) I am getting ready for a new fibula pin. The pin I need to cast the raw stock and draw it out before I shape and form but thats a weekend coming when I am not on call for work. I put the front half of the new Gorget in my scraps as its not complete yet but its a taste of whats to come.

I have seen some amazing work from other deviants lately and its driving me nuts to play. Awesome work folks. Thanks Myana for the great inter views.Thank you DanceofWhiteStag for the way cool header and footer (based on Pictish art work found on many standing stones). They spiff up my Journal big time

Hey folks, I found a new little Carpet shark( cool little nick name a DA member seems to have coined). I will be putting up a pic of the little critter here in a few minuets. I have not named him yet but that will come soon enough. He is right around 6 months old give or take a week. Already he has taken over the house (as much as we allow him). Any way wanted to share my good news and wish everyones new year is starting off like mine........!!!!!!!!!!

I really want to thank every one who has visited my Helm and poked around my gallery. It really caught me by surprise. I am overwhelmed by everyones compliments. I am driven to get more of the many projects I have started finished and posted for you to see. It is my hope to have a helm and a slew of etch work up here very soon. Also some forge work that has been almost finished for about a year!..
