I'm sure everyone has encountered the "History is Truth" people, if history says it it must be true. However there is a problem with that line of thought, history is written by the victor, so you don't get the entire view, only the harshly edited view of the winners. What if the winner doesn't want something to be remembered? He just has to omit it from the account and by the time it counts as history nobody will know it existed at all. Heck, we use words that refer to events without recognizing the events. Such as using the word Genocide while ignoring the Armenian genocide at the hands of the Turks that the word was coined for in the first place. If history was Truth we wouldn't have need for medical research, because the old ways worked. We wouldn't need to make new weapons either because we were killing each other just fine back when we used bows and swords. However since we're constantly looking for new and better ways to heal ourselves and kill ourselves history must be flawed because it isn't Truth but only "truth" and only that because the losers didn't leave a record that was given any credibility.

Truth= This is the only truth out there, such as the christian view that they are the only way to get to heaven.
truth= can be proven to be true, such as a certain medicine treating a certain disease.
"truth"= can't be proved because the account isn't complete or is flawed.

I'm chatting with a couple people through Yahoo messenger and when I asked how they were doing they said something to the affect of, "you haven't been reading my blog?" Usually this would get a sarcastic answer, but i decided to be good for once. and they had the nerve to tell me to go read the blog instead of just telling me. Really now people, in most cases I'm not that interested in the people i know purely online and if it doesn't look like something serious I probably move on. If your entry that is bothering you so much that you're forcing me to read it, instead of just telling me, is that your parents won't buy you a new car or some other piece of inane drivel i really couldn't care less. suck it up and move on or tell me in the IM, don't make me hunt down you're blog to find out something stupid happened today and you're blowing it completely out of proportion, you're just reinforcing the reason there are no blogs besides gizmodo and lolsecrets among my bookmarks.

honestly people, if i don't know you personally or have an intrest in what another artist is up to i generally skim the titles. i expect most you will to and this will go unnoticed, but it needed to be put somewhere before i blow up at these people.

anyway, i just got on to say that anyone who reads this needs to play persona 3. this may very well be the best RPG I've ever played. while you can play through the entire game and only develop 2 or 3 social links to the max (because they're scheduled events) and not worry about getting the strongest personas and be entirely satisfied with the plot, you miss part of the genius of the game. through developing relationship during your free time you can create more powerful personas. while this may sound strange at first some of the funniest stuff is through the social links system.
now, you can't have a real RPG without a good series of dungeons. usually this requires you to trek across the world. well, persona 3 has one dungeon, but it has upwards of 200 floors (usually to be done 5-10 per night) and every night you decide to go back there the floors could be completely different layouts. and if you get bored of grinding once you've reached the barricade you can go hang out at the night club of cafe. the first 8 boss fights have rather predictable timing, but atleast you know when they'll show up.

oh, one last thing, if you find yourself disturbed by watching someone put a gun to their head and pulling the trigger than this game isn't for you. some battles you may see the same person do this 3-4 times and that's a quick fight.

the story was good, the graphics were great, the controls were easy to learn but the ending just leaves you hanging, and going, if the game ends there why the hell did they bother with a second disc? You had a simple goal of "I'm gonna kill Zeus" and that's the one thing you don't do. I'd recomend waiting until number 3 comes out and the getting the first 2 off the discount rack.
