Okay, so I haven't fully gotten back into the swing of things... I'm still trying to get into my comfort zone here at the new place.

I know I mentioned something about submitting some art very soon, but it will probably be a little longer. I just now got my scanner hooked up, and I've started sketching again after a little break. Please be patient with me if I owe yah something!

As you can see, I'm reading a book about Panic Attacks. I've been plagued by them since I was a kid, but they have gotten much worse in my 20s for some reason. I have never seen a psychologist about it or really talked to others about it because I'm kind of ashamed by it. So anyhoo, this book is supposed to be a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and help me get me back to "normal (whatever that is)." The problem is that it's really scaring me with the mention of "facing" my problems and fears. I'm gonna freak out!

So bear with me if I disappear for a few days at a time. This is going to be tough methinks.

Phewwwww....

We finally got moved into our new apartment, and it's just beautiful! The move was very tiring, considering Jason still had chicken pox and I'm a weakling these days when it comes to lifting huge boxes O_O . The actual move was tragedy-free, but driving for the first time with a car trailer hitched to the moving truck (with our car on it) was one of the most stressful things we've done. What was even scarier was when we hit a hailstorm about 5 miles from the drop-off point. I was freaking out!!! RAWRRR

Anyhoo, we still have one more trip up to Bellingham to pick up our weightlifting equipment as well as a couple of pieces of furniture. We just did NOT have the energy to get it all done!

I plan on taking some pictures of the area this week sometime, but I still can't find my usb port for my camera.

We have a direct view of Mount Rainier, and it is so big that it's kind of scary. O_O It kind of makes me feel like there is a dormant giant sitting over there, like in Shadow of Colossus. Our village is so cute, and I actually feel a little bit safe here even though we are surrounded by large cities to our north and south.

Let's see...scaryness...well I have my internet-researchitis which kicked in once we got our cable installed, and I found out that the city we live in is the site of the largest earthquake recorded in Washington (which was in 2001) history. It's scary because I've never even experienced a real earthquake, and I have no idea what to expect.

Sorry for being so scatterbrained; I just don't really know how to organize my thoughts at the moment. I feel like I've lost a whole month here on dA, and I will hopefully be submitting some completed pieces soon (I've kept sketching during this past month). I've missed you all terribly, and I can't thank you all enough for everything you've done for me!

Phew, I'm so tired of hotel living that I'm going to pull my hair out. The microwave soup, small living space, and limited television channels are really getting to me. >_<

Some good news is finally here though! Yay!! *throws confetti everywhere* Jason and I got accepted into a really nice apartment community just north of Olympia and we just need to sign paperwork to move in! WEWT!

The bad news? Jason has a case of chicken pox and is not feeling his best. Yesh, I said chicken pox. We both got really surprised with this too!

He's been so pitiful and I've been having to drive everywhere (and I have a huge fear of driving!!). It's been easier than i thought though. My mommy instinct kicked in so fast and I've just been on the ball!!

Luckily, Jason got paid a decent check this past week and

made a very generous donation to me as well (I owe a super-special commish to him for sure)!

Anyhoo, I really hope Jason has the energy to move this weekend.

We both just want to sleep in our own bed again and be around our own things!

Wowie! What a week! Let's see... how can I catch everyone up?

I think I've fully recovered from my food poisoning now, and I'm back to eating some regular SOLID things. I'm still freaked out by raw veggies and fruits, so I haven't touched them yet. >_<

I did have a slight relapse from Sunday to Monday, but I think it had a lot to do with stress. We had to leave for Southern Washington on Sunday morning because of a Union job that Jason decided to take. It was a 3 hour drive, and we ended up in Aberdeen, which we didn't realize was full of meth-heads and prostitutes. On top of that, the "inn" that we had booked ended up being a fly and ant-infested motel that smelled so awful. Cigarette burns adorned the comforter, and the bathtub and shower curtain had not even been cleaned. I had to stay there by myself on Monday while Jason worked, and I had a nervous breakdown and cried pretty much the whole day. I talked to my sister on the phone, and she bailed us out of there and got us into a better hotel in a different city (bless her soul). Unfortunately, the motel wouldn't give us a refund for our weekly reservation--they were so rude!!

So I'm typing from the hotel room, which is pretty nice for the price! It's indoor and there are cameras installed everywhere. There are electronic door keys, deadbolts on the doors, free breakfast, and even free high speed wireless internet!

We will be going home for the weekend to start packing to move again (we are moving to olympia once we find a place), and then returning to this hotel on sunday.

We are hopefully on our way to moving back to the east coast, where we felt at home! Cross your fingers, hope, and/or pray for us!!! We hope to be out of here by Christmas!!

Hello, my friends.

I'm sitting up in bed finally for longer than 10 minutes! Yay!

Thank you all for all the sweet comments to my previous journal.

This has to have been one of the scariest weeks I've ever had!

The doctors think that I had some sort of food poisoning & bacterial infection in my intestines, most likely from fruits and vegetables from the market. In turn, I became severely dehydrated from my fluid loss and began showing neurological symptoms such as: irregular pulse, really low blood pressure, taxed breathing, dizziness, confusion, and all that awful stuff. I lost around 10 lbs in 4 days, put it that way. O_O I was down to 113 lbs, and I'm 5'8"...rawrrr my muscles have been eaten! I'm back up to 115 now, but it's taking too long to gain back.

The problem is that I have no idea what caused all of this because I regularly eat so many different veggies and fruits

I took my last round of antibiotics (which weaken the body's joints..which I DO NOT NEED any more of) this morning, but I'm still losing my fluids faster than I'd like.

I can't wait to actually be able to keep down/absorb solid food--and of coursh dance around

! I've put on 2 lbs, but it's really hard to gain back right now. T_T I'm so fearful of touching and eating food now... I don't know what I will do!

On top of this, Jason and I are going to be going to stay in a hotel in Southern Washington on Monday, so it's making me a bit nervous (which doesn't help). We will be staying in the hotel until we can find a good apartment to move to. The good news is that he has a wonderful longterm job there where we can hopefully recoup some of our money!

Sorry I've been absent for a few days and haven't answered any comments. It turns out I had MORE than the stomach flu. I've been to two emergency clinics this week and had severe dehydration with low blood pressure & irregular pulse. I'll let you guys know more details once I have the energy. I finally got some rest last night, and I'm feeling much better today--but I still need to be resting. *crosses fingers* Luckily, Jason left me with the laptop on the bed so I could at least say hello!

I luff you guys so much, and I'm so happy that my brain is actually working right now! I hope to be back by the end of the week!

My birthday on the 24th went okies, and Jason came home early to spend some time with me. He got laid off on Tuesday (everyone on the jobsite did), and I've had time with him since then as well... but it's not such a good thing...considering..

Everything finally went through, and our car was declared totaled. The insurance company is paying out our bank instead of us, so we will see no money from it. On top of that, we still owe $1600 on it because we didn't have gap insurance on it. So, we had to go buy a car on Wednesday. It's really nice and safe, but our payments are a little more than on our last car. Our insurance rates also went up a little bit because of the accident (even though we weren't truly at fault).

So now we are struggling with all of these bills, and Jason doesn't know if the Union can even have him working by the end of this coming week. We are so angry that all of this is happening... feeling so betrayed, disillusioned, and lost...(ignore my complaining rawrr)

Bills:
1) We still have a month's rent to pay off from our old apartment (in Massachusetts) because they decided not to give us our deposit back because we left a month before our lease ran out.
2) Rent here (just paid it today)
3) My credit cards are still maxed as stated before.
4) Jason's credit cards + student loan
5) Food + utilities + other necessities
6) New car bill + insurance + registration + new driver's licenses
7) Old car bill
: This all comes out to around $4-5000 a month (as of now), and with unemployment we all only make around $1800 a month.

Anyhoo, I'd really love to do some commissions to make some money, but I've lost all confidence in myself and in pretty much everything... How can I regain my energy? I haven't even picked up a pencil because I feel so useless >_<

Happy St. Patty's Day to those who celebrate! I drank 2 shots of rum, and watched some anime with Jason tonight; so it's been pretty nice and relaxing.

I still don't have any inspiration for drawing right now... just moping around like a loser.I really want to thank all of you who have shared your kind words during these hard times.

I don't know what I'd do without you guys...

Things are sloooooowwwwwlllllyyy getting better for us, but our money situation is about 10 times worse. Our car finally arrived, so we had to pay the driver his $1000 straight out of our bank account. So now we have no munnies for food this week--literally.... I've been scraping through what we have left to make our tummies full. I made cabbage/carrot stew tonight, and it turned out okies.

Now I have to come up with something involving beans and flour for tomorrow night. O_O That's pretty much all that's left lol...

On a different note, my birthday is in 7 days (the 24th), and I'll be spending it by myself at home. RAWRRRRR

We've finally arrived in Bellingham, Washington... I have to say that this was the most stressful and traumatic experience I've ever gone through...

We left Boston area on Monday, Feb. 26th, and set out for our 3200 mile road trip with a full tank of gas and very high hopes. We envisioned a fabulous journey from coast to coast, sightseeing, and many laughs. What we have received is far from that.

We travelled until Wednesday and made a stop at Jason's great uncle's house. We knew a snowstorm was coming and decided we would wait it out there for a few days. We played pool, indulged in their jacuzzi, and ate lots of delicious food. This would be the last day of our fun...

We set out on Friday morning rather early. It was snowing lightly. We crossed the Minnesota border, and the roads became worse and worse. I suddenly felt a sense of dread and asked Jason to take the Rochester, MN exit so we could seek shelter from the conditions. Stubborn as he is, he thought we could make it a bit further and said he would take the next exit. About 7 miles from our destination, a transfer truck passed a pickup truck ahead of us. We watched in horror as a gust of wind whipped the truck's tail end a full 90 degrees. He swerved off the road, but struggled and skidded back right in front of us. We couldn't slow down on the ice, and our car skidded sideways. He slammed into my side of the car, crushing it in and throwing us into the ditch. Luckily, no one was hurt. I'm a little bruised up on my arm (that was near my door), and my neck/back is really feeling it. The other driver was safe as well.

After getting out of the ditch and dealing with the Minnesota State Patrol, we made it to a Days Inn. We were stuck there waiting out the storm for 3 days and living off of bad diner food, and decided to just fly the rest of the way out to Washington from Minneapolis.

And this is where the major stress picks up...We live in a high burglary-rate neighbourhood and are stuck in a 6 month lease. Our car is still in Minnesota in a Days Inn parking lot, and the transport truck has still not picked it up (it's costing us $1000 for the transport). We are renting a car that is $300 a week, and we have no other means of transport. My credit cards (which were flawless) are maxed out now, and we have no idea what to do.

I don't know what else to say... I'm completely lost...

Once I have some more time and a little less stress, I will be starting up commissions on a tipping basis. I know my art isn't spectacular, but I will do my best for whatever you'd like to pay me. Just twelve days until Jason and I make our big move to the west coast... We finally have our apartment lined up (it's a 2 bedroom yay!), so we just have to make it out there now.

We leave on the 28th, so I am soooo nervous! We plan on going the northernmost route through the US, even though it will be the coldest trip. We just hope we don't get stuck in a snowstorm in the middle of nowhere (there seems to be a lot of that on the way) and die. We are bringing all sorts of supplies just in case.

So far here are our planned stops (dunno if we will change it along the way though):

1. Rochester, NY (we may make it further the first day, depending on what time we leave out)
2. Portage, WI
3. Piedmont or Blackhawk, SD
4. Coeur dAlene, ID
5. Our destination, Washington!

So there you have it!

We'll probably be settled in by the 7th (i'm guessing), so don't worry that I've died until around the 14th

Well I haven't posted a journal in a while, so here goes!

I'm currently packing to make the big move out to Washington State, and I'm so nervous! On top of that, we've been audited for taxes, so we've really got a full plate right now.

So I've been freaking out a little and had a couple of crying fits, but I usually feel much better once I get it out.

I'm so ridiculous sometimes... I'll be so happy once it's actually happening and I'm not just piling things in boxes. Plus we get to take our time on the way out and stop at Yellowstone and many other cool places! Yay! Let's just hope my muscles and joints will allow me to have lots of fun!

and I opened up an artshop on Gaia finally! He's doing quite well, but my business is pretty slow... It makes me kinda sad that I haven't gotten more orders, but I guess I cannot expect too much. Here's the link to it: [link]

I've had such a bad time this week. I think I spoke too soon about my aches and pains going away, because I'm feeling really awful. The gods must hate me if they are out there. I'm all out of pain meds from my last doctor's visit, and I don't want to go back again because they always treat me like I'm an idiot...and I can't afford it anyway...

*throws crappy ibuprofen at the wall*

On top of that I've been having really weird nightmares about society crumbling, people stampedes, and strange disasters happening. O_O

Anyhoo, I've been very busy this week.

Things I need to do:

1) I hope to submit another piece of art for one of my friends by the end of the week, but it really depends on my neck/back situation.
2)

also wants to start an artshop with me on Gaia, and I have to get that in order for us.

Anyhoo, I'm doing fairly well. I had a wonderful holiday! Things I got:
1) to fly to see my Mum, Sis, and Granny in Georgia for a weekend. I had lots of fun and my sis and I had a wonderful day of pampering at a salon!

I have purdy acrylic fingernails (which i've never had) and got a back massage in the process!
2) a real bed!

a queen size pillowtop! *gasps* My pains are already feeling so much better

3) A Hello Kitty calendar, sweater/hoodie, and ornaments! Yay!

4) Antique Guidebooks

5) A Nintendo DS & some games weee

So, I've been having horrible pains in my lower right side/hip/stomach area. I went and had tests run Tuesday at the doctor-- which took about 3-4 hours to complete, but nothing was conclusive. I had X-rays, bloodtests, urinalysis, and a pelvic exam which were all "good." The doctor says i'm probably having muscle spasms in my abdomen or something like that, so he gave me a pain medication prescription. Bleh, I've been in this spot too many times...numb, sleepy. And whenever I go off the meds, the pain is right there, blaring through my side like someone is stretching out my ligaments like a rubberband. If it doesn't get better by Monday, I'm supposed to have that $800 CT scan that I cannot possibly afford.

Oh, and other "might-be" news-- I might be moving to Washington State in January. I'm actually really excited about it, but the 3200 mile drive will be awful

My antiquing business is really getting off the ground, and I've sold a lot now! I'm so very happy to be in this line of work, even if it is tiring and I'm dreaming about sugar bowls and creamers. >_< Oh, and I've also claimed a name for my business, Blackberry Antiques. I'll have a website as soon as I can squeeze that in haha!

I was really hoping to finish some Halloween sketches that I started on a while back , but that didn't work

There is a signature on one of them in the lower right hand corner that says "Marion, '60," but I've researched for two days straight and only found other Marions that don't have matching styles or signatures. Some of the symbolism and the "60" below the signature would lead me to believe that it's from the 1960s, but on the other hand the style of the clothing would point to an earlier time. I have no clue if they are even identifiable, but I really wanted to know some history behind them because they are so unique.

My mother tells me that I'm lucky that I live so far away and have not seen him in over a year. He is a shell of what he used to be, atrophied and fragile.

All I could say was, "I know... I know" as she told me all the bad news over the phone. I succeeded in holding it in. She didn't need to hear me that way; her voice was wavering already.

Fearing I was a burden, I even attempted hiding my problems from Jason last night, but it all fell apart when he pulled me over to his shoulder and held me. All emotions, whether on the surface or beneath, surrendered.

On my to-do list :

I decided to book a hair appointment considering I haven't had a haircut or trim for over a year now. Strange enough, the hairstylist was really nice and easy to talk to; she really made my day better and gave me a great haircut. I actually have bangs again. It's been 12-13 years since I've had bangs!

Anyhoo, good news is I got a new sewing machine. My Singer went kapoot on me after only a month of having it, so I got an even nicer Brother machine. I'm sooo happpy!
