I'm back! Did I forget to say that? Oops! So, I'm back but I'm a busy girl, so if I'm slow to comment or respond to things then don't be surprised because I have 2 jobs, a husband, friends, and what I would like to -think- is a life! Which includes art (even though it definitely didn't for a few years there)

To answer a few things.

Q: Nene, why did you disappear for almost two years?
A: Well, I have serious issues with depression and addiction to video games. I A) lost interest in doing a lot of things with art and B) got really hooked on WoW (which I still play) which also pulled me away from the art scene by pretty much dominating all my free time.

Q: Since you're still into WoW, will you be here for long?
A: I don't know! I hope so! I do a lot of things with my RL friends as well, like a Werewolf the Apocalypse Live Action game on Friday nights and a Changeling: The Lost game on Thursday nights! (Both of which are a lot of fun!) There's also talk of a possible Sunday DND game spawning sometime in the near future, so who's to say what my schedule will be. But I can tell you that art is a part of me and I never leave it for good!

Q: Some of us you promised art to a long time ago never got it when you disappeared. Do you intend to finish your gifts?
A: Yes! As soon as I figure out what I'm doing (or what she wants me to do), I will put together something for Kristi to enjoy. A bit belated, but I keep my promises! If I'm missing any other gift art, let me know... but my memory isn't -that- bad. If you try and tell me I forgot to do something for you and I don't recognize your name then, I'm sorry, tough luck.

This is a temporary journal layout until I get some good ol' CSS up and running, which I'm looking forward to

In the meantime, I thought I'd throw something up to say hi to all of you who might have missed me, hi to those of you that probably forgot me, and especially hi! to those of you that I still remember and am either A) still close to or B) quite fond of (which should be everyone!).

Yay, I've joined a new club! I'm beginning to go a bit club crazy, ne? But, really, I'm quite excited. I've never joined a club for pixel artists or really dove into the pixel art community before. I obviously do other types of art and those have always been somewhat more important to me, but I really enjoy pixel art and find it a lot of fun, so I'm quite excited to be a new member of .

Well, I haven't really gotten anything done. I still have 1 commish and 3 giftarts to do. But, I'm working on it. That's the sad thing about art... you have to go as you're inspired. I've switched my domain over to a new server now, so I'm pretty happy about that. No adds, pop3 for my e-mail. I do believe that I'm going to switch my e-mail permanently over to my new domain now, and then e-mail the old guy who was hosting me to tell him that I've moved to my own domain now. I feel bad for taking up all his space, lol. It will be a nice change.

On other things I have a new poll! Please vote on it!

Skotti is out of the hospital now, yay! This makes me happy. She's doing much better, and although we could still use some donations since a lot of it still came out of pocket, the boots have indeed been ordered and are on their way. Thank you so much to the ones who were able to pitch in! It really helped, and meant a lot!

If you love =jaggyd as much as I do, then please help me out

=jaggyd is in the hospital right now because one of her kidneys is failing. Her bloodsugar was at 1300 two nights ago and she was almost in a coma. The doctors say that they think she will be okay, but it's slow going trying to fix the problems. And, to top it all off, her birthday is next Wednesday.

If you know anything about =jaggyd, she wouldn't want us to be worrying about her. However, I can't help but feel miserable knowing that she's in the hospital a week before her birthday, and could possibly in the hospital on her birthday, still in CCU.

I have a birthday present that I really want to get her, but I cannot afford it on my own. =jaggyd loves these shoes more than anything in the world, and if we could get them for her, it would be the best birthday gift ever: [link] . Unfortunately, they are about $405, and I'm no less a starving artist than anyone else.

Sorry It's taken me so long to talk about this one I just had to post it up cause I love everything I found. I'm pretty obsessed with the anime Pretty Cure, so I'll take most everything I can get of Nagisa, Honoka, and the others. It's such an adorable anime. I love it much. I really need to catch up on my episode watching ><

I have another contest idea, but god damn, I've got to get my current rewards out of the way first! I'm such a lazy pain in the toosh, ne? That was a rhetorical question; no response is needed I also have another piece of gift art for a friend, and I have to decide on something to do for my only real RL friend up here where I live for her birthday... she absolutely loves magical girl stuff just like me, but she isn't completely into fanart, so I don't have any idea what to draw her >< Any suggestions?

Well, back to the normal entries for a little bit. I already have the next contest cooking in my head, so we'll see what happens there. I'm sure that I'll get it up soon, but I have to do some personal preparing for it this time! Hopefully it shouldn't take too long, hehe. I also have the gifts for the last contest to do. I haven't gotten any ideas yet, but I'm sure they'll come to me quick. I'll figure it out, hehe. In the meantime, lots of things to think about and do! ~Magical Mallet of Mayhem Contest~

I have decided to have a contest! As I've had trouble deciding how to design my mallet for my persona "Magical Morphing Girl Nene-chan", I thought I would let you all help me figure it out! This isn't a very complex contest, so I hope that I get a lot of entries!


~Rules~

1) The mallet must be cute and designed as if it were for a magical girl. Spikes are cool, but keep the cute factor in mind.
2) The mallet has more than 1 form. You may draw your mallet in one of it's forms or in all of them! (The more forms you use, the more appreciative I am, of course, lol) The forms are:
Keychain, which is used to hold it while it isn't out.
Hammer sized, for small bashing uses
Large mallet sized as seen in pictures with Nene-chan in them. Must be rideable, yet use-able.
3) Submit your picture to your deviantart page then make SURE you note me with a link to it so I can add it to my submissions. If you just assume that because I watch you that I will add it, you are wrong. You MUST send me a note with it, so that I am sure to not miss it.
4) Entries are due by July 31, 2005


~Prizes~

Grand Prize: Winner will receive 3 month subscription to deviantart, plus an inked character sketch of their choice (of course, if I'm inspired it could be colored )
First Place: Inked character sketch of their choice

Well, since I rejoined DA recently I've decided that it's time for a decision. I don't like double posting so I've decided that other than character reference sheets, Fur Affinity is going to be ONLY for anthro/furry art and animal art. Deviantart will be for my fanart and original art that is geared more around humans. I haven't decided about my "neko" art as I call it (art that is mostly human but generally with animals ears and a tail but can also feature things like hooves or horns or animal eyes and sometimes noses but no fur on the body, etc.), but I think it's going to mostly go on DA.

So, for now, I'm going to remove all my fanart and non-anthro pieces from this gallery and move them to my DA gallery. I DO have a little bit of anthro art in my DA scraps, if you want to look at them, but that is because all my unfinished/old art is in my DA scraps.

I haven't decided about my My Little Pony art yet, which is why I posted the poll last night. If you haven't voted on it yet, I'd really appreciate your opinion!

~Midnight Soul~

Lately most of the art you've been seeing has been of Rei and Ah-Lai, two lovely characters from the comic that =jaggyd and I are working on. We ARE going to finish this one. I swear on... my grandfather's grave... or on =jaggyd's grave... cause if we dun finish it, we're both gonna be in one... after I murder her and commit suicide

To give you a little heads up, Nagoshi Rei is a normal girl that gets turned into a vampire. She's 14, pretty quiet, and she lives with her family's butler, Ajibana Higashi.

Ah-Lai Xiong (14) is a transfer student from China, or rather, masquerading as one. She's a vampire hunter and part of a group of high class paranormal "policemen". I'm sure you can see conflict already

Other characters you'll be seeing in the very near future: Ajibana Higashi (Appears in his 20s, not sure specific age) - Rei's sexy butler. Liu Chen (15) - A priest and exorcist; part of Ah-Lai's group. Baoling Zhu (13) - A shapeshifter hunter (ie werewolves and the like)

The whole group is in the anime/manga style for a few reasons... One, cause it's what I know so it's what I can write for. Two, the story takes place in Tokyo. Three... well, I like it
