Ah yes... 2008 is over... Freaking FINALLY...

08 had to be my least productive year ever. I wasted money like hell (this including tuition), I probably made less than 50 drawings this whole year (I'm pretty sure I made less than 30 but I don't want to be that sure), my scanner and tablet both broke down, I made little to no money, I lied my way out of tight spots (which I was trying to avoid this time around cause I wanted to do it the right way... it didn't worked), my team got disbanded, my heart got crushed way too many times, I got hacked for the 2nd time, I lost my license (never told anyone but my close family. I'm getting it back next year, though), I wasted time like hell, my grades dropped, I gained weight, I lost some soul, I lost inspiration, I felt emo for the longest time and I lost some good friends. These are some of the things I remember, I'm pretty sure there are more.

There were some good things about 08, though so it's not all bad. I made some really good friends in college, traveled to Orlando on my own (with my team before we disbanded), traveled to Europe with my sister's high school class 08' (good times and bad times all together), got a new found love for House, Air Gear and Monster Hunter, I got to see a girl I'm pretty sure I fell in love with back in high school (I thought about the girl for 3 years straight after I graduated so I'm pretty sure that counts for falling for her), got a 32 HDMI TV for my room and it looks pretty amazing, got an 8gb mem for my PSP, new clothing and some other stuff I can't remember right now.

And now lessee what 09 has in store...

Guess what? Something really really interesting happened to me recently.

I got hacked in Gaia... again!

And this time, they made sure I couldn't do shit about it too! They changed my username from "NeoDelux" to "Ne0Delux", changed the password and they even managed to get all of my mules' passwords as well (and by all I mean 3 different mules with different passwords). In other words, they came in, took it all and left nothing back.

I don't think there are words, comprehensive images, tastes or even sounds to express my current state of anger. I mean, it fucking took me 2 years to get back to where I was the first time.

See, the first time I decided not to take any action, aside from leaving the admins and mods an "I got hacked" report and let it be. This time, I'll make sure the little fat-bastard shit-filled-ass snot guzzler son of a fucking whore pays... big time.

HOLY shit-actually, I'm looking for another word for shit right now cause the ending was so mind-blowing that saying shit right now would be quite insulting. The Zuko/Azula battle was epic on its own, so was the Phoenix King Ozai/Aang battle, of course. When Ozai does his first bending after the comet arrives felt like it had enough power to blow the crap out of anything on its own. The scenes were so incredibly well animated and the sounds of firebending were so freaking awesome it made my hair stand up (literally). 8D Zokka is a genius but he lost his 'space sword' and his boomerang. XD

To tell you the truth, I didn't like a couple of things (a lot of them, actually). I just think they could've developed the ending a whole lot more. Also, there's the fact that there wasn't a life-changing Toph and Zuko episode and instead we got to see a play... -_- Which, come to think of it, wasn't that bad of a prequel to an epic ending but yeah, I'm still looking for that Toph/Zuko episode that was probably cut... And the last 10 minutes or so were just too quickly wrapped up. When Zuko asked his father where his mom is, I thought they would go and find her. Instead, we go to Iroh's teashop where everyone's all happy and Kataang fans go wild cause of that way-too-quick first kiss out-of-nowhere. And I so want to know what happened to Azula after the most horrifying crying scene in the whole series. And Ty Lee and Mai are perfectly fine after getting thrown to prison by Azula...

I just wish the whole series was made for older ages (16-21 or something like that) so those little bits of extreme stuff that were probably cut because it was supposed to be a cartoon for younger ages were added... XP

So Avatar is finally over. I wonder how in the whole Milky Way is Nickelodeon gonna match making a series as good as that one... or Spongebob Squarepants for that matter.

And now that that's out of the way, the trip was fucking amazing. Some highlights are the architecture over there which is pretty awesome, the weather's pretty cool (except in Italy which is pretty much the same as PR) and most importantly, pretty much all of the girls there have great legs. There were a couple of things that sucked balls on the trip though. In Spain, you breathe smoke with some oxygen on it (everyone and their mom smokes there dammit), in Italy, all old men are perverts who touched my sister's and most of the girls in the group's asses, among other parts of their body (we even had to intervene once or twice), this girl, who makes succubus everywhere look like mosquitoes and doesn't even know it caught me on her spell and I went through the last 2-3 days on a state of depression/denial because of her. Thankfully, there was a girl there whose boyfriend was one of her victims and helped me through those last few days.

All in all, it was cool, wish I had done some things that I decided not to do and vice versa but I'd do it again... Actually, I want to do it again.

I'll upload some pictures after my sis loads all of them (there are more than 5000 in total).

Also, this week had 2 Wednesdays and last week had no Monday (or Tuesday, I forgot).

Yup. I´m currently in Spain, using the hotel´s computer... And I´m tired like hell. We´ve been walking for like 12 straight hours (with some rest stops and whatnot). HOLY shit there are a lot of hot ladies over here... I mean, you turn to the left and three of them walking by, turn to the right and a lot more pass by. Though everyone and their mom smokes here.

All in all, it´s been a long day, gonna be going to Toledo tomorrow and then we´re gonna be around some more.

Gonna be leaving this Monday for a 10-day trip to Spain and Italy (Toledo, Rome and the Catacombs are some of the places I'll be checking out). This journal entry/rant is directed to the middle to low class, not the class of people that grow or rather have grown into fortune and don't even have to lift up a finger to defend themselves for dear life (this saying has so much more meaning in Spanish but whatever).

Seriously... How come being a grown-up seems to be so hard on the working class. It seems like if you're not born into wealth you'll have to worry lots about paying the always increasing bills, gas prices and taxes, finishing up that Bachelor's/Master's Degree, taking care of your children if you happen to have them while still digging up some time to socialize and not be called this and that by those who seem to be close to you...And this comes off from certain current events in my life and others around me like my aunt, who is going through her Master's while being an elementary school PE teacher, for example and events not really involving me, like *Omar-Dogan, whose job, even if it's his dream job, has him making art that "has nothing behind it" (reference to this journal right here: [link] and the continuation here: [link]). These are just 2 of many examples I can think of but I have many, many more that make me think like this.

All of this makes me think: is all of that hard work really worth it in the end? Even if you happen to land your dream job, you STILL have to work your ass off just to survive in your desired industry. I might be coming off as to being lazy and not wanting to do hard work myself but come on, the point of life can't be this harsh... Karma can't be that much of a bitch either. It's just wrong...

And I've tried to look hard for a balance between the good and bad things of being a grown-up but I always end up with many more crap things which twerp the balance toward life being crappy on people altogether (GOD that made me feel like emo... O_O). Maybe I'm not searching hard enough which is why I want you to help me find said balance.

I don't know, maybe I'm too pessimist.

Yup. Gonna be going to Orlando for 3 days. Well, I'll be returning on Monday but it's gonna be 6am so there's pretty much no chance of me doing anything other than to throw a bucket of ice cold water to wake me up for the airplane.

I'll be at the Orange County Convention Center all 3 days with my team (Team Whatever). The FX International Show will also be held in the Convention Center so it'll be one huge-ass event.

You have no idea how stoked I am. Been waiting for this specific weekend for about a year now and the anticipation is breaking me (in a good way =3)!! XD

So I got a job to do the pencil designs for a comic book the card & games shop/collector's store/comic book store I frequent will be printing soon (next year, I believe). Nothing's official though, but depending on how everything goes, I'm gonna be making the official pencils for the comic. Right now I'm working on the character designs, hence the latest deviation. I'm still not sure if I want to do the pencils for the whole comic cause I suck at making sequential art under pressure since I have little to no experience in doing so...

Well, I'm gonna get me a Wacom, no doubt about that. You guys convinced me it's a good tablet and all that. Still, I'm confused, should I buy a 6x8 or a 6x11 (Intuos3)?

The thing is, I have a wide-screen monitor (1440x900res so you can have an idea) and I thought buying a 6x11 would be the ideal choice since it's also wide-screen. But it seems the tablet can adapt to a monitor no matter its size by sacrificing some space either from the tablet or my screen. Oh, and there is that nasty $30-price difference...

So yeah, should I waste those extra $30 on a widescreen tablet or not?

On another note, I NEED to make some commissions cause I'm out of a job... Had a summer job but it ended last week or so.... and I need some money... -_-;

Ok, so you all know thatI'be been saying that I'm gonna get me a new tablet soon and whatnot. Well, I've been thinking, should I really spend $300 on a Wacom Intuos? I mean, I spent $60 on the one I have now (deceased, by the way) and it worked fine for 5 straight years, among other things that i liked about it. I'll take commissions for character art.

I prefer working with all kinds of female characters from simple, anime-style characters to realistic portraits (realism), character sheets, among other things. Talk to me and we can make a more in-depth discussion of your commission. Doesn't mean I can work with male characters as well.

Right now I can't make any digital work because I don't have a working tablet (the new one's on its way so this'll change soon).

Important Stuff

Fanart, yuri, couples, chibis, anthro, armor, simple mecha, sexy girls, tasteful nudity, simple backgrounds and anything I say yes to.

WON'T do List

Yaoi, complex mecha, buildings, hentai and whatever I say no to.

Pricing

These are the set prices. They will change according to the difficulty of the commission (by this I mean the inclusion of backgrounds, for example).

All prices are in USD.

If you want your commission done right you're gonna need to give me enough info for me to work with. The info I normally ask is for a description of the character's physical appearance and some background info like the character's personality, for example.

All prices are in USD, and only Paypal Orders are accepted (though I will consider snail mail and Money Orders depending on the situation).

The customer will pay up front.

If you want your work mailed to you, you will pay the shipping expenses ($10) and I'll send it protected with hard cardboard inside a reinforced envelope.

How do I work

1. You will check the slots and see if there is an available one.
2. You will send me a Note, letting me know that you want a commission from me. In this same Note, you'll include all of the description of the character(s) you want done by me (name, age, physical description, personality, extra info and samples, for example).
3. After I receive this Note, I will answer back to you letting you know if I can/will be able to do your commission, we'll discuss the price and finally I will give the ok.
4. You will send the accorded payment up front and I will start working on it.
5. When I finish, I'll note you with a link to your commission (you should specify if you don't want your commission posted on DA).
