Summary: Fakir, still ducks guardian years after the Drosselmeyer incident, leaves Gold Crown Town for a few days to visit Karon, and to find inspiration. While discussing his life with Karon, he begins to absentmindedly doodle on his writing paper. He burns the wasted paper in the fireplace, but doesn't notice the mysterious sparks that emanate from his drawing of a duck and a fairy godmother.

Had tickets to the Western Conference Finals--which the Dynamo won 2-0. Not the greatest game I've seen, but it was still hella entertaining. Unfortunately, we missed the first half thanks to the disaster that is called I-45. I hate that freakin freeway. Took 40 minutes to go two miles, because they couldn't clear what appeared to be a fender bender quickly. Ugh.

Anyway, while watching that game, I got inspired to finish my Whiste series--Sho was the only one left, but I wasn't so happy with his sketch. I'm gonna try to redraw tonight though, while I've still got the momentum.

Remember that VW commercial from about 10 years ago...two guys are in their car, and they see an old couch on the street, so they put it in their car and keep driving. But then they start to smell something bad, realize it's the couch, and then ditch it again? Yeah, I've got that commercial's "Da da da" song stuck in my head.

But anyways, is anyone going to Anime Matsuri this weekend? If you live around Houston, you should definitely come by. I'm volunteering there, and from the looks of their set-up, it's going to be amazing.

In other news, I read the Mars manga the other night (yeah, all 15 volumes in almost a straight shot) and I can't stop thinking about it. It's most definitely soap opera-ish, but the art is amazing, and there's something very appealing about the main characters. But unfortunately, it's making me totally useless during the day because I keep on thinking about all my favorite parts. It's like having a song stuck in your head that just won't go away :tears hair out:. I'm hoping a Full Metal Panic marathon will shake it out of my brain. Crosses finger.

And finally, watch Whistle. It's a fun show.

PS- Holy crap, I've missed Heroes so much! I think I was freaking out durning almost of the episode. Claire and Peter have so much freakin' chemistry, it's so wrong that they made him her uncle. But yay for a Petrelli family reunion.

I think I ended up buying most of Moscow, both in souvenirs and clothes. Russian fasion in the best. It amazes me that the women can walk in stilettos in that much ice...I was barely able to manage in my clunky LLBean snowboots. I actually felt pretty dumpy for wearing practical clothes in -30 degree weather. Next trip, I'm bringing my A-game: heeled boots and miniskirts . It helps that its getting warmer too...it was actually 1 degree when we left! Felt like summer.

I did get to visit St. Peterburg, which blew my mind. What a beautiful city. Had a total Anastasia meltdown at the Winter Palace, though. I had to control my urge to start singing "Once Upon a December" in the Throne Room. Hmmmm...I think I'll go watch that movie now.
