I noticed something funny in these past couple of months – “friends” disappear pretty quickly when you’re not on the same page every single day. “Friends” pretend they don’t know you if you’re not around much, and “friends” never ask are you alright. “Friends” become acquaintances whit whom you exchange empty sentences and promises to go out for coffee sometimes, but you never really do. “Friends” make you miserable and you tend to wonder what’s wrong with you. “Friends” don’t make you wear a dopy smile for no reason.

But on the other hand true friends try to keep that goofy smile on your face as long as possible, because your happiness makes them even happier. Friends understand your need to talk about your English literature classes and how your professor is brilliant and amassing, and how he read World War Z and how the books is on his top 10 favourite list and how he doesn’t think you’re strange because you’re reading that instead of Dostoyevsky. And your need to vent because your history teachers are all crazy and you have to write tons and tons of seminars and you get no instructions for that, even tough you should – but that’s a different story. And the greatest pleasure of life is the fact you get to hoist someone out of depression by acting like dr. House and saying: “You’re pathetic.” and knowing that the other side will not be offended but laugh until it hurts so bad that you have to stop, but you can’t because it’s funny.

In knowing that happiness is just a monthly phase that comes and goes, a phase that needs to be nurtured because there’s nothing more precious than your state of mind is something you must protect at all cost. And the people who get that and stand by your side and help you fight and overcome the endless piles of shit in your life are your very precious people. Keeping them in sync with happiness is no trouble at all, and if you’re not its all good because chocolate and coffee really do help.

Yeah, I’m happy and I’m rambling, and you know what? I really don’t care.

Yesterday, for 7 hours, I had a class about Greek and Roman history and their influence on Croatian lands and in those 7 hours of lecture I have learned absolutely nothing because our professor kept talking about statues and pillars, structures, grave stones and inscriptions on them and how to read them and decipher them and extract information from them; and of course about the CIL III or Corpvus Inscriptionvm Latinarvm and forgetting in the process that half of us don’t know any old Greek and little Latin. Oh joy…

And then she gave us an assignment to do: we have to write a seminar on a subject we get – and the subject is some inscription and we have to interpret it with the help of literature, which by the way we didn’t get because in their obliviousness they forgot it was Saturday and today is Sunday and the library’s don't work on those days. And we have to at least know something about the subject we are writing about until Monday when we have the next round of 7 hour lectures. I have absolutely no idea how to get some relevant information on the subject I’m working on, which is isle of Electra from The Argonautica by Apollonius Rhodius; and I don’t think they’ll accept the www as a valuable and credible source. So in essence I’m in trouble, or the whole class is in trouble because we have no idea what to do. And did I mention they didn’t explain what exactly we need to do? Of course not, we spent 7 hour discussing topics of minor relevancy…

Ugh and that’s just one class from my university. I have 2 mayors: English language and literature and History and about 5 various classes from each of those mayors. I have tons of homework, little free time and no social life whatsoever. I knew it was going to be hard when I got in to the university, but what I didn’t expect was: lack of literature, no proper explanation on what needs to be done, classes on Saturday (the whole day!), no information or syllabus on the net and no organization skills. OK I knew about the organization problem, because the Faculty of Philosophy in Split is located in 5 places around town and I have lectures in 4 of those places, but at least I’m at one place per day and I don’t have to run around town like a maniac or something…

Well that’s about enough rant about my university and problems. I hope you’re having a better time than I am with school/work/life/something and that you’re enjoying your Sunday off. The only good news I have is that I’ll be going to Salona in 2 weeks and that’s a great opportunity to get some wonderful photos. For those of you who don’t know where or what Salona is here’s a short explanation: Salona was an ancient capital city of the Roman province of Dalmatia. During the invasion of the Avars and Slavic people the city was destroyed and its population retreated behind the walls of Diocletian’s palace in Split; and thus was my home town formed. The ruins of ancient Salona are situated near today’s town of Solin (near to Split).

University lectures are starting in October, and there’s so little time left to photograph things around town freely. I don’t even know what to photograph these days, it seams like I already shot everything. The only time I take my camera out these days is to photograph postcards – a new hobby of mine. Split Film Festival starts this Sunday and I’m one of the volunteers. For the past few days I’ve been volunteering at the Nam June Paik exhibition which is also part of the festival. Before this I had no idea who Paik is, but now I kind of like his work. I’m not much of a modern art person, but I like him – he has some good works, and the multimedia section is great. So Split Film Festival – I just noticed how many films in there I want to watch. Wow… I’m really looking forward to it, and perhaps I’ll take some photos.

You know there’s a strange thing about opening night of an exhibition… It’s like people are not there to see the artwork or the artist himself/herself but they come there to eat, drink and be seen. They tolerate the necessary 20 minutes of speeches and introduction and then everybody just stampedes over to the food and drink sections. By the 10th canapé sandwich and 3rd glass of alcohol they’re already so out of it that they don’t even know who they are let alone where they are and what are they seeing. I sometimes wonder what would be like to look at artwork, especially modern art when you’re drunk or stoned… Would it be enlightening? Would you have an epiphany and realise what’s all that about? Or would it just be a bunch of hardly understandable rubbish? One day if I have the chance, enough guts and no brain cells left I’ll try that. I’ll just wonder until then.

Now while I do think that a lot of works art experts define as modern art is (to me) a bunch of utter crap (again pardon my French) compared to the so called works of the old masters, I don’t mind having them on display in some gallery or museum. I just won’t pay the ticket and go see them, because I have better ways to spend my money than seeing something I don’t like. But this is not a discussion about what art is and what isn’t, although a lot of things these days deserve to be questioned and perhaps redefined and settled in another category. But that’s another story. I am typing this to give people the chance to see how I look at art and how I express myself about it; or to put it in DA context how do I react when I see someone’s deviation and what do I write in the comment section.

During my almost two years on DA (June the 22nd will mark my second anniversary on DA) I’ve submitted a lot of works. Some were horrible, some were ok and some were great. My opinion sometimes varied from the opinion of my watchers, fellow artist and critics but I appreciated every little comment they gave me. Whether it was just a: wow this is stunning/amassing, or a half a page dissection of the work I read each and every one and responded to them. I think responding to people who took the time to see or read your work is very important. I know some DA members have tons of comments and it’s impossible to believe that they have the time to answer each any every one, but it’s a nice gesture and I think people will appreciate you more for that. The same thing goes for s.

When I comment someone’s deviations I try to avoid the shock and awe comments that consist of single words and a few emotions. I try, but sometimes I am shocked and awed that I simply can’t say anything but that. But every time I look at someone’s deviation if I’m going to give a comment on it I try to be constructive. I try to tell the author what do I like about it, what I don’t like, what I think should be fixed and give some advice if I can. The easiest things to comment for me are photographs. I’m a amateur photographer with an Olympus FE-5500 compact and through (sometimes horrific) trial and error stage I learned a thing or two about photography – enough that commenting comes easy for me. That and my sense of aesthetics . I refer from technical comments, mainly because I’m not familiar with everything, but about concept, originality, perception, theme, general and artistic impression and how well was the entire thing done – in that I do have an opinion and I try to make myself as clear and constructive as possible. I won’t say that something is horrible or awful, I’ll point to a part I didn’t like and say something like: Oh I think you should change the angle, or do this instead of that and so on. The greatest satisfaction I get is when I see that the artist’s next photo or photos are better than the previous ones.

When it comes to drawings, whether they are digital or traditional I’m in bigger trouble. I can’t draw to save my life, and this is no exaggeration. I can draw primitive shapes and forms of objects, but to make them look decent let alone beautiful… For that I would need magic, and that I don't have. But I try to stick to the same principle as I do with comments about photography. The local elections are on Sunday in Croatia and I'm an observer on those, so perhaps I'll get some photos of that momentous occasion. That thing, along with preparations for the entrance exam on the Faculty of Philosophy in Split and Zadar, and for Law in Zagreb are taking much of my time. I still haven't decided which one I'm going to go in the end, I'm keeping all of my options open. But I hope I will get in somewhere... Oh the drama of university education Meanwhile I'm still jobless, broke and well busy with stuff. And since I've got flat rate I get to spend my time doing nothing intelligent (although that's debatable ) and just hang around on DA and various other sites... Yeah, I know I've got no life

Well anyway, I'll conclude this entry with well wishes, lots of inspiration and hope of just rewards and fun. May they be plenty of those for all of us.

I've been watching 's works for some time now, and I really admire him as a photographer. He has wonderful photos and quite an eye for details. And like always when he uploads new work I go, see and comment (sort of a paraphrase from the famous Latin phrase veni, vidi, vici by Julius Caesar). And latter on I see a reply on that comment, but not form but from . And all of a sudden I, well we, figure out that we live in the same town...

It was unexpected, it was crazy, it was simply ecstatic... This doesn't happen every day you know... You don't just log on to DA and find an artist who's work you really like and that that same person lives in your home town. And you find this person by looking at the works of an artist from the other side of the world. It really makes me happy that people can connect via art, that you can find new friends, colleagues, acquaintances simply by looking someone's artwork. No matter what genre it is: photography, jewellery, paintings, photomanipulations, drawings, poetry, prose... Art connects people, and sometimes it takes a while for that to get trough your head.

Now I see DA in a whole new light. It's not just a site where I find great artworks, or great artist. It's not just a site to show my works, comment the works of others, extend my creativity to the maximum limits possible... It's also a place where I can find people who like the same things that I do, have similar opinions on art, or work in the same media. A place where we can exchange our opinions on each others work and give advice how to improve something. A place to seek and find whatever it is you're looking for. And a place to ramble constantly about your emotions like I'm doing right now. But I guess I just had to share this moment of clarity and happiness with you.

Meanwhile I applied for two jobs just to have some backup plan. The first one was also secretarial, for a real estate agency but in Makarska, and that's a bit inconvenient for me at the time. The other one is in a book store in Split and I'm hoping they will call me for an interview at least. Being unemployed since November 2008. is really frustrating, especially for me. I'm used to having a regular income or at least having some savings, but now I'm flat broke and depending on my parents for money which is humiliating for a 23 year old woman.

All of this is affecting my creative work. I didn't took one decent photograph since 25th of March, and those I did take are just dreadful. I can't do a thing with those no matter how many hours I spend in PS. Shit is shit and you just can't fix it. Argh I have to get this frustration and negative energy out of me, and soon, or I won't be able to do a thing.

I took the 100Themse Challenge in hope to get me to do something constructive and creative. I wanted to know what kind of twists and variations could I make of the set themes and I have a pretty good idea what I want to do. has been very kind and supportive, encouraging me to write. I can't thank him enough for all those conversations via MSN. I started to work on a new series of stories set in a detective agency called Wayward Investigations. I created the 3 main characters and I'm currently working on the map of the city. It's rather silly, but I decided to make some sort of map on a piece of paper to have a baring of sorts and to make the whole thing look more realistic. The map is totally primitive, but it helps me to focus. So far I have sketches on paper and nothing on my computer. I had to do another project, a debate post and a rebuttal post and the whole thing just sucked the energy out of me like a bloody vampire. Plus some jerk wound me up with her idiot statements and I'm definitely in no mood to write I just hate it when people ad their stupidity and frustrations to my own problems.

But Easter is coming in a few days and on Sunday afternoon I am going to Imotski with to a concert. I still haven't told my parents I'm going I'll tell them when I buy the bus ticket. I really need this, to get out of Split, to have some fun with the people I love and just enjoy myself. Maybe I'll take some photos, but I'm not sure, it will depend on the mood. But after Easter it's just creative work stories, various ideas for stories and so on. Whatever pops in to my mind is great, I'll write it. Preferably in English, but I'll take Croatian as well. Whatever works I've also started to do something rather new and interesting for me, and that's haiku illustrations. I've done something for Basho's haiku about the frog that jumps in a lake, but it's just a sketch I did at my mothers workplace and it's not very good. I'll try to do it again at home and with some calligraphy as well. Kanji and all.

Perhaps because of that I started to photograph more. I can’t tell, I just know that I had a lot of inspiration lately and that it’s a lot easier to find inspiration in photography than in literature. I want to write about so many things, so many subjects are just swirling in my mind and still I don’t write. I’m lazy I guess and quite frankly I’m scared. I want to write something in English so a lot more people can read it, hear my voice, but I’m afraid that my English is not good enough, not rich enough to express my thoughts. And writing in Croatian is sometimes so darn frustrating when the thoughts in your head are in English. Sounds crazy right? Yeah it is crazy, but somehow that’s the way I function.

But I made a promise to an acquaintance of mine that I will write some late night thoughts, because she liked something I wrote really late at night in English. So I guess I’m going to give it a try and see can I really do it. I’ll start with something small, some fragment of a story, or poem… Anything that comes to mind really, even writing this is good, my mind is in English mode and I’m typing this whit no problems at all. Words just keep flowing from me and forming sentences. Cool isn’t it?

And since this whole wacky thing has been going on, and my submission of deviations increased a little I got a lot of comments on my photos. I would like to thank everyone that commented my deviations – it really means a lot to me. Every little word, every constructive critique, or just a wow kind of comment makes me very happy and encourages me to get better. I don’t have fancy equipment, but I have the will to improve myself and to be the best that I can with what I have. I don’t know if I can call myself an artist, but hey a wannabe artist is not so bad

Comments, of course . I noticed that two of my friends, who are amassing and very talented photographers got featured by someone so I decided, because I love my friends that much to do my own little feature of their works.

The rules of the game are:
- Maximum of 3 deviations per deviant/friend.
- Small introduction of the selected person, no shorter than one sentence.
- There must be an explanation why a deviation is featured, at least one sentence long and it must make sense.
- Appreciate, support and encourage your friends but give constructive comments, feedbacks...

Eh, that's about all the rules I can think of Now let's get this show on the road, preferable in alphabetical order



Amarie is one of the most talented young photomanipulators I have had the pleasure to know. I've seen her work with PS and she really proves the statement that PS makes everybody beautiful. Her imagination and vision of characters from various books never ceases to amaze me.

1. Arien [link]

Before Amarie discovered the lovely world of PS there were hand drawings, the good old traditional art. What I love about this drawing is the seen and the unseen, or to simplify things the shape of the woman can be seen, but never to clearly, because she radiates the light of the Sun. An interesting concept of Tolkien's character from the Silmarillion: Arien - the Maia of the Sun. The colours on the drawing: yellow, red and orange blend together perfectly, good choice of colours - it's just right.

2. A Storm is Comming [link]

I chose this deviation from the time she entered deep in PS era so to speak. This deviation has a special, very personal, meaning to me because it's inspires; it makes you wonder what's the story behind the girl and the fort. And it also shows creativity in combination of various stock elements, but still keeping some things recognisable - like the fort from Imotski. The deviation also gives an ominous felling and I like mysteries.



When I first met Beregond he was a wizard of PS and he still is; honestly he can create almost anything you want in PS and make it as beautiful as it gets. And he's also great with flash and anything else concerning computers. He's handy to have around the house too (Sorry, I just had to say that - it was stronger than me ). Recently he branched out from photomanipulation and PS works to photography and he surprised me with wonderful, high quality photos proving once again that he has an eye for art no matter what the genre is.

DA has a brand new look and I must say that I like it very much Makes me feel really important with all those fancy buttons and stuff . So because of that, I'll just have to get a new ID. I had a chat with about that; he has a wicked camera and I would just love to be the person in front of it. He likes the idea as well, so all we have to do now is get together and make a photo shoot I'm also looking for a new icon, that's going to be hard to make since I'm pretty picky about what I want, but I don't have the necesary skill to make what I want... Boy can I complicate things or what What I want on the icon are these kanji: 舞姫 which when romanised give the word Maihime - dancer. And I want a brush there to appear that someone just wrote those signs.

Why pray tell do I want that? Well the answer is simple, or perhaps not , but my pen name (so to say) derives from Tolkien's Middle Earth. Nessa is a Valie - one of the goddesses in that world, and she loves to dance and run; she can outrun the deer which she loves. I'm not much of a runner these days , but I love dancing, so I think the name is appropriate. The other part of my name Saelind is a Quenya word and it means Wise Heart. I don't delude myself that I am very wise, but I do think that I am smart in some areas. Hey someone's got to brag about my abilities

Well, since I talked so much about a lot of nonsense I would like to get to the point. Go me! . From now on my photographs will have a copyright sing on them, very small and somewhere in the corner. It will be the kanji for Maihime that I mentioned up, or my real name - Jelena Milašinović. It will depend on the mood I'm in. But I like the kanji better makes me look cool.

My first journal entry in the year 2009. and I'm a happy camper . I uploaded some photographs taken with my new camera Olympus D630 (thank you nii-sama ) and I'm very pleased how they turned out. My camera is awesome dude , well for me it is. I still don't have enough euros to buy a fancy shmasy camera like some pro photographer. But patience is a virtue they say, and who knows I just might win the lottery tomorrow. Well if I get my ticket that is

The first (of many) series of photographs I uploaded are sport halls from my town. I've showed you the stadium from HNK Hajduk, the new arena built for the 2009. World Men's Handball Championship, you got the glimpse of the pool where some of our very talented swimmers and Olympic medallists started their first swimming steps (so to speak), and hopefully there will be more to come. Gripe - the basketball hall and the home of KK Split (ex Jugoplastika) and of RK Split, and you'll get a better view of the pool very soon. And perhaps if I find the time you will get a photo of the HNK Split's stadium as well. HNK Split is another football club from Split, but not as famous as Hajduk is. And if I get lucky you might see some other sport halls from Croatia

I have some really great photos of the old parts of Split, and I'm really looking forward to that and I hope you'll like them. And as Split is the mix of old and new things - sometimes successful and sometimes not I'm going to show you some of the new architecture that I think is interesting and some of the history behind it. Some museum shots are in plan as well, specially from the Ethnographic museum - I love everything from that department .

And there will be some nature photographs to, from Marjan and other destinations if I get to them. Perhaps this will be the year when I am going to take my mother to see NP Krka. Wish me luck and less photos of hospitals

First of all I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. May most of your wishes come true (why most you ask? Well then what will I get you for your birthdays and such ), may this season be the crown jewel of this year. Spend this time with family and friends and enjoy. Don't worry about what you eat and how much you eat, just enjoy. You'll have plenty of time to think about calories and extra kg after the holidays. So have fun, be good and all that.

On another, happy note, my nii-sama gave me his old camera, so I'll be able to take photos of a much higher quality then with my mobile phone. I's not much, but it makes a girl happy . And after New year's day I'll be cleaning my account; getting rid of the bad things and keeping the good stuff.

I have a fan fiction story in progress; currently I'm writing the first chapter. I know where the story will go and how will it end and everything in between... But I just have to get trough the first chapter. I'm writing it in English, which is not my native language and it's the first time I'm writing something this complex in English and I'm kind of intimidated by that. I just hope it will work and that the readers will like it. *keeping fingers crossed* Oh, how silly of me, I forgot to say it's name: Wayward Soldiers.

So I guess that's it. Nothing new and exciting to tell. I've got some plans, but I rather not talk about them, less I spoil them. You know don't want to jinx them and all .

Danas me je trebao pregledat neurokirurg pa ništa od toga jer je čovjek imao nekakvu operaciju pa nije mogao doć do 4 popodne. Pa sam dobila novi termin za 10 dana, jer me moj otac nije baš htio tako lako prebacit u drugog neurokirurga. Tudor mu se popeo na jetra jer je on kod njega već 10 godina, a u druge kao nema povjerenja. Ja ne bi znala, ja ionako izbjegavam likare koliko god mogu. Da nije bilo ovoga sad bi ja lipo imala nekakav stalan posao, a ovako moram na terapije. Yey... Već se vidim na struji, parafinu, ultrazvuku i drugim čudesima. Ma prekrasno...

Ali posjeti bolnicama imaju barem jednu dobru stranu dobro bar je ja pokušavam nać . Anyway dosadu ubijam fotografirajući bolnički interijer; započela sam novi ciklus sa bolničkim biljkama i lusterima. Imam par dobrih fotki koje ću uploadat tijekom dana . E da i uslikala sam novo Splitsko rodilište. Izvana izgleda uber fancy nadam se da će isto tako izgledat i iznutra, mada se nadam da mu unutrašnjojst još neću provjeravat *kuca o drvo*

But I do have some ideas for photographs and for stories - which is my main forte *is proud* I can't wait to start the Weddings and so on series again after all the info I will be getting from my friends from Sinj, who are currently attending a wedding ceremony , and I have a sneaky feeling that Tihana (the main character of the story) is in for a lot of surprises. Actually the 4th instalment of the series is titled Third time's the charm You can interpret that in a lot of ways Yup, I'm happy right now and so I'm leaving you in the same mood 'cause I don't know what to write anymore and I'm writing anything smart right now.

Oh, yeah... I would like to thank anyone who has taken the time to look at anything I posted here and gave me a comment, or a critique - I really appreciate that and thank you so much for it.

As for me currently I'm not uploading any for various reasons; the main being that it's really, really hot and my room isn't air conditioned, second reason is that I got a summer job and after working for 8 or 9 hours a day I just don't have the strength to do anything... But on the bright side I got a new mobile phone with a 2 mp camera so I'm photographing around town and when I get the darn cable to transfer the photos I'll upload them. I think that will be the begining of a new cycle: Photos on the way to work and back.

Nema puno devijacija u zadnje vrijeme jer sam totalno presušila, nemam inspiraicje. Radim sigove u PS-u, ali to nisu baš stvari za DA. Nije neka originalnost, evo večeras sam napravila zadnji sa screenshotom filma Lady Snowblood. Zaaaaaaaaaakon je Film mislim, a i sig nije toliko loš. Pišem malo češće u zadnje vrijeme, imam serijal Vjenčanja i td. koji je koliko toliko redovit, za sad ima 3 priče. Možda bi ga mogla zakeljit ovod, mada je na hrvatsom. Šta vi mislite? Je l' vam se čita to? Kažu mi da je dobro, ja ne bi znala *smijeh* Pišem i jedan fan fiction na engleskom, prvo poglavlje je skoro do pola gotovo, koncept je već smišljen i samo se čeka mene da pokrenem dupe i to natipkan do kraja. To će definitivno završit ovod i na fanfiction.net kad tamo otvorim account. No otom potom. Ništa, ode ja nastavit tipkat ili spavat ili nešto. Vidjet ću još...

But I just can't get them out of my head, I wish I could draw so I could get rid of this darn itch and nag in the back of my mind. But alas, I am no god with a brush, my skill lies in the pen; well sort of or in the keyboard at least :rotfl: I just need a world to put them in. I first imagined Morana and Takeshi to be detectives, or spies. I wanted to see her in a long, dark blue trench coat and high heal black leather boots and nice black pants, sharp and clean cuts and a dark blue silk shirt to soften the image a bit. Her long mahogany coloured hair would float in the light breeze and her grey eyes would be covered by some cool shades. Yup I'm in to Horatio a bit too much for my own good *lauhgs* And him, oh he would be just a dream in black, loooooong black trench coat (oh how I love men in coats ), pants with sharp and clean cuts, some nice shoes - still haven't decided what kind though, a shirt with stripes on... Well actually a suit, yeah a nice suit and a dark blue tie with silver swirls or something + the trench coat, and shades of course. Some cool ones, he's all cool after all. Like Bond

And here they are dressed to kill, literally, walking down the street to his car, I don't know which one - I'm not that good with cars, but it's a city car, they are working undercover after all and they can't get caught in the act. I think they are going to kill someone on this mission, and they have to keep a low profile and jet keep their cool. Sophisticated killers - we kill for you and still manage to look good. My gods I'm rambling nonsense right now *laughs* but I like the scene, maybe I should type this down. Perhaps if I write it good enough I'll get someone to draw these two for me so I can get them out of my head :rotfl:

I really love it, and I love her I kind of want to get back in to writing and I want to write some long stories in English for the first time, and sort of develop 2 new characters that I created: Moire Morana and Takamura Takeshi. Surnames are first, given names are second; and yeah I kind of stole my male character's name from the the main character from Richard Morgan's book Altered Carbon. His name was Takeshi Kovacs. I just love that name I found out that Takeshi means warrior in Japanese - and these two are both warriors; well fighter more than warriors, but you'll see as the story develops. I'll also see *laughs* because I don't have a clue what's going to happen with them for now *laughs* We'll see, if I don't get killed by my exams in the process. I hate them... Oh well what can one do...

I have a feeling it's going to be fun, and perhaps I just might surprise you again with another story, a darker one from my cycle Tales of dead men's letters (Priče o pismima mrtvih ljudi) I'm not so sure I translated the Croatian title well... But you get the picture although it is kind of morbid at this time of the year *blushes* Well I can't help it, it's just me

Strangely enough I was feeling happy a minute ago when I finished my new photo manipulation, but when I got here and uploaded it I felt sad... I don't know why, I just did. I'm just tired I suppose... Oh yeah I had to remove my Turin Turambar banner because I used a copyright picture to make it... Hm it's not like I said I made the picture and everything; even an idiot could tell that that's Alan Lee's work and not mine - I'm not that talented... Oh well, but the rules are rules - so you got to go by the rules. Mmmm to many rules in one sentence

Well on the bright side I passed my first partial test from Organic chemistry *dancing cave trolls smiley* I got a D from that and my lab practice test - a C in that department and now I feel as lazy as Shikamaru does Yap life was good until I remembered there are 3 major kick ass tests waiting for me next week. Yey... You can just see the enthusiasm pouring from me... But wait a second there are some good things in life :yes: like friends, the new rpg I started playing (I'm Morgoth in it btw aren't I the coolest), another rpg I'm going to start playing: a Naruto based one and boy do I have the perfect character for it and I'm going to write that rpg in English. Good practice and perhaps I'll be less lazy mmmm right I am so optimistic about that at the moment Oh well you know what Shikamaru says: In life, nothing good comes out of hurrying. You just have to love that guy Well I'll leave you to your duties or whatever you have to do at this moment...

There are more artist out there who drew lovely Naruto pictures and it would be a really long list if I named them all *laughs* but I want you to know that I am so jealous at you all who can draw so beautifully because I can’t. But I can fav you instead. OK enough with the silliness let’s get back to work.

# 5 Yakushi Kabuto

The first favourite and already a bad guy *laughs*. This one was a hard choice; the battle was between Kakashi and Kabuto but I decided on Kabuto in the end although I’m not a bad guy fan, but I do like Kabuto *blushes* – he is well interesting to say the least. I love the mystery around him; the fact that you never know what exactly is he thinking at the time. And the fact that he uses medical jutsu to fight well that’s just way cool – and me loving medicine in a weird way makes him my personal favourite. And not to mention the fact that every time I think I get him he surprises me with something totally different so I have to start all over again. I do wander what Kishimoto will do with him later in the series; but whatever he does it’s going to be interesting – I can smell it in the air.

# 4 Rock Lee

Well it’s hard to start writing about this guy when there are so many things that I could say about him. From the moment I first saw him in the anime (I watched the anime first on Jetix, got interested and then I started to read the manga) I liked the fact that he never gives up; that he is willing to sacrifice his life for those he loves and to defend his way of life. Now that’s a guy that any mother would want for her daughter – not the mention the fact that he is very, very polite that would be a plus to. Despite having no talent in ninjutsu and genjutsu he used the abilities he had and worked so hard on them to achieve his goal. I really admire him for that and I must say that in a way Lee is my idol – he is the living proof that if you work hard on something that you can get it. In a way he represents one side of me – the side that works hard for those who I love. Another interesting fact about my view of him that for a really, really long time (and even now despite the fact I know otherwise) I thought that Might Guy was his father *blushes* I know it’s stupid and you may laugh at me, but they are really similar and it was only natural that I made this kind of mistake. Right? Right?

# 3 Nara Shikamaru

My friend Ixidor said to me in a conversation we had about how similar we are to Naruto characters that I am Shikamaru and I have to say that in some ways I really am; I don’t claim to be a genius tough. He is the second half of me – the lazy part to be precise. What I really like about Shikamaru, despite the obvious facts , is the fact that he is willing to risk his life to help his friends and also to help his colleagues. I really like the anime episode from Season 2 called Formation: Ino-Shika-Cho when Team 10 comes to help Team 7 and when Shikamaru despite the dangers says something like: “Whatever happens will.” Bah I got that wrong for sure so please feel free to correct me. What sort of surprises me the most about him is his views about marriage and women; the first one is similar to my opinions about marriage – “I used to really want to be just an average ninja making an average living... Marry a regular girl who's not super pretty, or super ugly, have two kids, a girl and then a boy... I posted some of my old fan fiction writings here in hope that someone or something will make me write chapter 4, but that was a long shot anyway. Perhaps I should translate it? Hah that will be the day... Well perhaps I really should, I can't allow my English to get too rusty and translation is the best way to do that. Well and reading and speaking and hearing the language, but that's not the issue here. So translations, please push me to do it, maybe I'll get some constructive advice from other non-Croatian speaking people and of course reach the goal of finally finishing chapter 4. I'm I boring you with chapter 4? Yeah I know I am... Well, better that then my total Naruto obsession. Yeah I love Naruto the anime I didn't like at first - I thought he (Naruto) was boring, he had such an irritating voice *doh* *blushes* FYI I watched the English sinc - so yeah it was kind of high pitched and irritating. But the Japanese sinc is way better :yes: and in short I'm totally head over heels with that anime; and the manga is cool to And I'm torturing my dear Amarie with that, but she does know what to get to keep me quiet *giggles*. Hah I figured out what my next journal entry should be Well until then bye, bye and bee good.
