Ok so I was laying around with ~AleksAkhart, who is my boyfriend just so you all know , this afternoon and I was thinking about that wacom contest we had here on dA and the theme of it and I really did get a fantasic idea! Now, I'm not going to tell you guys what it is (so people don't do things like steal it ) but I may be painting it. I really want to, but I'm not sure if I'm skilled enough. Plus, I'd have to do it when my parents aren't around cause it's like...uber erotic, but I promise it's a good idea. He even said so haha.

Also, in other new on Aleks, he promised me he'd upload some of his work. He doesn't want a lot of attention brought to his artwork, that's why he's been hiding it. He's a very, very good painter I promise XD.

Ok so I watch movies quite a bit (because of Netflix) and I thought I'd share my ratings and what not for each movie I see. I'll post my rating, the summary, and a brief (or not so brief) comment about what I thought of the movie. Enjoy!


Alone with Her

Summary: Invasion of privacy and domestic spying take on terrifying meaning in this unsettling tale of voyeurism. Colin Hanks stars as a young man with a secret obsession for a beautiful woman (Ana Claudia Talancon). By planting hidden cameras and listening devices in her home, he learns her most intimate secrets in order to manipulate her into a relationship that she innocently permits. Shot entirely through hidden cameras, including a "body cam" worn by Hanks, ALONE WITH HER, takes the audience to an extreme level of voyeuristic intimacy, exploiting both our fear of being watched and our compulsion to watch.

Comments: This movie was pretty freaky...It was really good though. The woman has an annoying accent, but other then that it was great. Oh and it had a good ending, I think.


Pride and Prejudice

Summary: Pride and Prejudice is a humorous story of love and life among English gentility during the Georgian era. Mr Bennet is an english gentleman living in Hartfordshire with his overbearing wife. The Bennets 5 daughters; the beautiful Jane, the clever Elizabeth, the bookish Mary, the immature Kitty and the wild Lydia. Unfortunately for the Bennets, if Mr Bennet dies their house will be inherited by a distant cousin whom they have never met, so the family's future happiness and security is dependant on the daughters making good marriages. Life is uneventful until the arrival in the neighbourhood of the rich gentleman Mr Bingley, who rents a large house so he can spend the summer in the country. Mr Bingley brings with him his sister and the dashing (and richer) but proud Mr Darcy. Love is soon in the air for one of the Bennet sisters, while another may have jumped to a hasty prejudgment. For the Bennet sisters many trials and tribulations stand between them and their happiness, including class, gossip and scandal.

Comments: This movie was absolutely stunning. The picture,the plot line, and even the revelance to the book. I've read Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and this movie relates quite well to her book, but doesn't have as much detail so it's a little hard to follow when you watch it the first time. The ending and the love seen was not the same as Austen's, but it was incredibly touching, romantic, and a tear-jerker. This is defiantly a chick flick (I could NOT get Aleks to watch this with me) and...Mr Darcy is SO gorgeous! Trust me, he is. Probably one of the most touching love stories I have seen in a very long time.

The Devil Wears Prada

Summary: The story tells the professional adventure of Andrea, whose greatest dream is to become a journalist. Andrea gets a job in the fashion industry through Runway magazine, the most famous of its type, to make ends meet. But Andrea won't develop her writing skills in the magazine, but her talents as the editor in chief's assistant, Miranda. The problem is that Miranda is a merciless, posh and cruel woman, making the experience a living hell for the girl. The environment in the place will be cold and extremely critical with the physical appearance. The girl will have to change her simple and plain style, for a more trendy and elegant one, in order to gain the acceptance of her ruthless boss and colleagues, specially Emily, her unpleasant workmate. Despite everything against Andrea in the office, she will consider the experience as a challenge, drastically changing her clothes and self-image, with the help of Nigel, the magazine's art director. Nevertheless, the job becomes extremely demanding, because of Miranda's tough work rhythm and nearly impossible tasks, leaving Andrea without a private life with her boyfriend, family and friends. Maybe the old Andrea has gone, now more preoccupied about her image and her future in the magazine.
