My computerroom was badly damaged by a fire a few weeks ago. Luckily I woke up in time to notice the fire and I was able to put it down.
Besides a melted screen and two completely burned down audiosystem (which caused the fire) there was a lot of smoke damage throughout the house.
We're insured for these kinds of things, so a company came in and cleaned everything (comics, teddy's, piano, everything, ...) and repainted the damaged walls.
All my electronics where cleaned in a drying room and returned shinier then ever.

Two visits to IKEA and I'm all set up again. A few months ago, :devdevcrit: was founded and I've been asked to be a critiquer. I love the initiative so I agreed to critique the Digital Media - Painting and Airbrusing. But I sure didn't expect the amount of demands. Even :devdevcrit: noticed it, so they put up a journal.

So I was taking it slowly on the highway [90km/hour or 60miles I think] and two cars in front of me started loosing a bit of control and decided to hit the brakes. The Jeep behind him was forced to hit his brakes and there we go: I smashed in on them. I didn't loose any arms or legs and my head is still in the right position. The Jeep was able to miss the car in front of them with just a few cm, but I wasn't that lucky. Although the jeep had no visible damage, my car looks looks like a Rembrand Model, folds and greasy spots everywhere. 2 seconds after I crashed in on the jeep, someone hit me from behind! dA is working on Critiques. Like all many new features, it questions me a bit, but I tend to love them when I start working with it. This time, dA adds a Critiques-feature. Something they should have paid more attention to in the early days of dA, but I'm glad they finaly did it.

New Year's resolution

2008 - 2009
It was my wish to be published in an international artmagazine or book. I got published in the StreetFighter Tribute book. Yihaa! Another wish was to be more active in the artistic community, to be happy and to able to share my happiness. Guess what: I founded :#dAmnBelgians:, organized a bunch of deviantART meetings and met :devYetska:. We're almost a year together and I love her. I think all my wishes came through. :)

Holiday update

Knesselare fortress
It's been three weeks now. I had a lot of stuff to do lately and more is coming up I've heard. An archaeologist (not Indiana Jones, pity) was digging and found a roman fortress created by Belgian farmers. He asked me to recreate it the way it might have looked. He worked a long time on creating a very very accurate ground plan and I went on from there. While constructing I found a few unlogical things in the plan and after a few calls back and forth, it turned out that the plans they had in mind weren't that accurate at all. The final
