Why do those little packages of silicone gel that come with some clothes and shoes all clearly display the label "Do not eat"? Are a lot of people inclined to see these little packets filled with tiny balls of apparently indigestible polymers and decide to rip them open and shovel the tiny treats hungrily into their mouths and then procede to keel over? I mean, styrofoam is also used in packaging and could potentially kill you if consumed, and I don't see it labeled with a health warning.

Really, America? Do we really have to label everything that shouldn't be eaten, just to remind consumers of this fact?

Wal-Mart cashiers are pretty much as good as cheap therapists. Every so often you unload on them, and you feel so much better afterwards! Having worked as a Wal-Mart cashier on the night shift before, I’ve been on both ends of this exchange many times.

Last night, I had occasion to visit my local 24-hour Wal-Mart at roughly 1:00 AM with it being 6 degrees F outside, and checked out with Alka Seltzer, Visine, kitten milk replacement formula, a radiator filter and a case of beer:

Unfortunately, I have a physics course this summer, so no vacation time for me. On top of that, I'm shadowing a couple livestock vets and working about 20-30 hours a week at the humane society (got hired on a month or so ago as kennel supervisor/overseer and as an evaluator for potentially adoptable stray dogs that aren't claimed for health/behavior issues). Busy summer ahoy.

In the meantime, I'm currently working on two large-scale commissions (neither of which I can post here upon completion, unfortunately) and a couple private projects that I hope to wrap up in the next month or so.

I also have info on the short story anthology that I'm in that's being published this summer; it's called "X" and consists of ten short anthro-themed stories based on the Ten Commandments from Christianity (though it's definitely not a Christian themed collection). Will letcha know when it's in print for those of you who are of the furry persuasion, or just like anthro characters. :3

So apparently my computer had a brainfart the other day and the screensaver never popped up when I left my computer idling for around 10-15 hours (I figured it would hibernate and didn't want to shut it down and mess with saving shit because I was in a rush to get gone). Well, now I have a nice collection of bright white lines and squiggles burned into my screen all over the place in accordance with the drawing WIP that I left up on the screen.

If they're going to recast someone, RECAST RATHBONE AND PELTZ, because their characters are so un-caucasian it causes me physical anguish. LEAVE ZUKO AND AANG'S ACTORS ALONE; they look WAY more white than Sokka and Katara.

So my friend asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and me being the ass that I am told her I wanted a baby sky bison, since I don't want any gifts and that was obviously unattainable.

Well, she went and got me a little baby Appa plushie. XD I have no clue WHERE, since they're sold out like everywhere and they seem to cost a fucking fortune second hand right now, BUT I DON'T CARE IT'S ADORABLE. Since I was freaking out this weekend (finals start today) she sent it to me early as a little bit of much-needed stress relief. It totally made my day.

So since I already have a 3-foot Appa plush that's actually named Appa (see my webcam), I can't go and have two of them, so I've decided this guy is my own eprsonal baby sky bison. I'm making him into a little character and everything for my own amusement. He's thus far nicknamed Abai (will explain why later when I draw him, which of course is inevitable), and I loves him so. XD

Goddamnit, I have the mind of a 5-year-old.
