But of course we'll need more heads than just her, that way this will get done and get done faster.

So if you're interested in being a head please comment. If you know others who might want to be a head, please talk to them about what's going on.

If you didn't read the previous journal, the heads will just be responsible for keeping the project going, organized, and updating the club page. You might pick just one area to be responsible for like art, writing, programming. You'll likely have jobs like reviewing submitted work, commenting/sending notes, taking in people's suggestions, and making sure everything in your area is being taken care of (like the backgrounds, character art is being taken care of).

Heads will oversee events like contests and edit events according to people's suggestion.

Basically you heads are managers ^_^ who'll be working with each other to get the project done. And of course if you have an issues, you can contact me.




Everyone else can work on content,

Writing/Editing for the events
Drawing/color/creating art for the game
Programming/putting all the elements into the game engine
Or whatever is needed for the game.

You're just responsible for creating stuff for the game.

--Continuing--
A lot of you guys have given some very awesome ideas and suggestions for continuing the project and between all the comments I think there's a very good solution. A special thank you to because she really had most of this idea planed out XD

The idea is that we open a "op-kh-ds club" an open project to work on this dating sim. I might elect some dedicated "heads" for the club to keep some order and direction for the club as a while and the different areas (art, writing, programming). But whenever someone can't be a head anymore, someone else can take their place this way people can be dedicated when they can, for as long as they can, but the project still goes on.

As far as content is concern: art, writing, programming, everyone else can pitch in. The heads will help assign jobs, check quality, and make sure all the needs are met. For art we might hold a contest for artwork and everyone gets to vote. For writing the heads can post it as a Deviation (like I have done in the past) and everyone can give suggestions, critique, or help complete an event ^_^

Instead of using flash (which not everyone has or can program in) I really think Renpy [link] would be better. It looks very easy and simple to use (even for non-programmers). It's already set up to make dating sims, it really couldn't be easier as far as programming! But if anyone really got into it, it is possible to program very complex things. But also multiple people could work on different parts of the programming so it'll get done faster!

I'll keep this account going, and act as producer for OP-KH-DS (which just means I don't make the game, I just give some direction). I will also give you guys all the notes and events I have and post them online. If you guys have any problems you can come to me about it All I ask is to keep the game teen friendly (so lots of people can enjoy it) and don't turn it into a yaoi game XD let the game be about the romance between the player and the guy ^_^

Taking out flash as the programing will help a LOT with the process (since you won't depend on me to program everything and enter all the dialogue). But I think the project will still need some dedicated people to help manage it. A game is a very big, complex thing. I think as long as we have one or more dedicated persons, the project can go on.

If in the event, Square-Enix has an issue with OP-KH-DS, that's it. It'll be over. And all the content will have to come down. If you're alright with losing all that work, than feel free to continue.

I've been dreading to say this, but I've put if off long enough. I'm sorry for the long leave and I thank everyone who's been so supportive and patient.

Since I graduated I've been busy with doing art for work and I've been doing a lot of thinking about my life and what I want to do with it. But also, there are some concerns about this game that have come up.

I would like to at least put together the beginning portion of the game for everyone to play. But after that, I cannot continue the project. If someone else wants to pick up the project and continue it, I'll do my best to give the resources and scripts I have to help continue the game.

Before you get mad, please let me explain, I hope everyone will be understanding.

I have not been concerned about copyright infringements for a free-fan-made games. But it was brought to my attention that Square-Enix has sent "cease and desist" letters to fan-made games of other square-enix games, namely "chrono trigger". For example, there would be Sora's writing group. There would be a few leaders (perhaps 2) who would be responsible for making sure Sora stays in character, the events make sense and flow, and the overall quality of the writing. But of course others can come in and write events, make suggestions, give ideas, even edit the events for Sora. The leaders are just responsible to make sure the writing is good and gets done.

The idea is to help keep the writing consistent for each character. I think it would also focus everyone's talents better.

I might wait for till the next update to decide on groups. A new update might bring in more help


So how dose that sound? Any suggestions? We might hold a contest to help decide who the leaders should be ^_^

Most of the events have already been started. Basically you find a loose end and finish it up, or just write a little bit.


Sephiroth, Vincent, and Sora are already Done. Axel is about 3/4 done. Riku needs some work. Cloud... I dunno X_X And Roxas is virtually done.

I'll be posting up the events for Axel, Riku, and some of Roxas. I think someone is working on Cloud, so it might be posted later.

I tried to make the events as understandable as possible, but if you guys have questions please ask.

I've been waiting till I had something more to say before I updated this journal but I've been pretty busy since I graduated *sigh* but I have manage to work on the game some

Anyhow, people keep asking about when the next update will happen. I cannot make any promises. But I'm thinking in the next month or two. It depends on how much I can work on it and if things go smoothly. I also might have you guys help me finish up the writing. I really wanted to do it myself but sometimes I'm stumped for creativy... and I'm not a fast writer -_- ...

I also have an improtant and dear friend visiting in mid June so my mum is making me fix up the house xD I have to install a new sink in the bathroom (what?) and I have to clean out the "doom room"... called such because it's been a dumping ground... and now I have to make it into a nice guest room ^_^;;; If only you knew the horrors of that room *weak laugh*


What's Up:

Well I've been pondering for some time how I could make the characters appear to talk. I got an idea, messed with some stuff, and surprising quickly got a talking animation working for Vincent XD So Vincent has talking animation when his dialogue appears! I think it gives it a bit more believability. Getting the player to talk might take some more work >_> I might have to make a general talking animation for the player (appose to unique ones to each mouth).

I've worked on a little bit of this and that really. I've programed more of the dialogue into the game and fixed some errors. I wrote down the Sora event in a template form so I can program that in again (I have to put it in again because I changed the game format). I scraped the old Axel beach story because I got a much better idea and started on that. I started on a Riku's meeting as well. And I know I've done a lot of writing and figuring out backstory and personality etc for the characters. And uh... that's all I can remember xD


Btw, I updated the icon. I hope it looks better.


Programming the expressions is gonna be... uh... "fun". And I mean that sarcastically. The guys won't be as tough, but the player with be harder. Since the character is customizable, I have to figure out a way to easily revert the face back to the way it was saved. Then there is a question of what the "happy" "sad" expressions will be for the player. Hmmm... anyhow I have some ideas. It's just a matter of figuring out an easy way to program it.

Other than that, I'm just waiting for the character art xD People are working on it, but no one has turned in anything yet. But that's okay because there's still story to write and text to program in.











I get the feeling I'm trying too hard to make this game good ...honestly, I think I'm gonna have to cut some corners or I won't get the update up soon.

I really wanna update it though...

I just thought I'd made a comment about the next update. I dunno if I'm giving a false impression (this might just be with new players) but the next time I update the whole game will not be done, finished, or complete. The next time I update you'll be able to play more of the game (which to you guys probably will not seem like a lot). Sorta like reading the next chapter in the book, but you won't be able to read the whole book yet.

There's still a lot of basic graphics and programming I'm working out. So the next update should look nicer and (actually) function, but there won't be a lot in the way of progression in the story. After I get the basics in -- hopefully we can continue to work out all those juicy story bits

Basically I just hope I'm not giving anyone the wrong idea (I changed the info on the actual game to help with clarity). The next update might not be everything you dream, but we'll keep on working on it ^_^

I have been trying to write a meaningful journal entry for awhile, but I keep falling short... OTL

As of late school and art projects have been keeping me rather busy. The other half of the time.. well honestly I guess you could say I've been working out some personal stuff and refocusing myself. But don't worry about it I'm pretty much back on my feet now. I just want you guys to know I haven't ditched this project or that I'm not merrily scarfing marshmallows bunnies somewhere...

With that said, I'm graduating with my degree in May. Which means... sweet, sweet, FREEDOM! I'll likely be doing some kind of work (art commissions perhaps?) but I will also be working on flash games! So, as I originally intended, I will follow-thru and finish OP-KH-DS game.

I really am sorry you guys have waited so long, but I also really appreciate everyone's patients

Eventually, and hopefully, I'll start making some original flash games. Because if I can make -that- my job, I can focus all my time making awesome flash games But that would happen after I finish up OP-KH-DS ^3^


So yes I am Alive, I am Here, I have every intention of finishing the game.

---Art---

Currently the need right now is drawing up the guy graphics with their different expressions. I have a few artists working on that so I'm just waiting for them. If worse comes to worse, I'll just use some simple graphics as a bookmark till we can get some prettier ones.

---Writing---

Currently I wish to write out what's left of the first events to set the example of what the other events should be like. After that I'll make a list of what needs to be written and everyone can take assignments ... oi this sounds like homework or battle o_O

Something that would be very helpful though, is if someone would take the Sora event from the demo and write it into the event template [link]

The reason I need that is because .1) I wasn't smart enough to save the Sora event in a word document .2) I have to enter the information for the event again since I changed up the format of the game.

---Programming---

I'm currently working on the Save Feature for the game. It's pretty much done for saving your character's outfit and name information, I just need to plug it into the actual game.

I haven't tackled programming the events lately, but after I finish the save feature that will be what I do next.






I still am busy with other projects and I'm having to visit family for the next few days. But I am working on this project and I am very greatful for everyone's patients.

As for updates I don't have any D: Well... I DID find out how to make text type-out like in real video games! I can make it type out fast or slow too! It's cool but not a milestone

I've just been busy with school. As some of you know I am working for a degree in Game Design so most of my days are filled working on game concepts... ya know like story, concept art, gameplay, levels, etc

One of my classes we have been working on a 3D game for the past few months and will hopefully have a demo/prototype level by mid December and HOPEFULLY finish a 5 level game by May/April 2009.

In this major project I'm working with an... "interesting" team ... to say the least some of them aren't so motivated... BUT they've shown some good work so I have hope!

I'm working as Lead Game Designer/Lead Level Designer. To make it sound simple, my job is to work with the team and to make sure the gameplay works and is fun.

This is much harder than it sounds lol...

I could explain it, but I'm not sure how many of you want to read? If you're curious please tell me and I'll try to write about my wonder life as a Game Designer in school xD

I'm critiquing people's levels at the moment (and have been for weeks O_O; I never realized it would take this long to work out all the problems in 5 levels!

I will say this! It's very hard to tell people their levels still need work! It's like I'm telling them their levels are "bad", but they aren't bad... there are just some problems and changes needed @_@

For those of you who have NO idea what I'm talking about... There had been some discussion about points in the game. It seemed like it would be cool that depending on the choices you pick during conversation you get points for being charming or being shy. So if you say a lot of charming things, you'll gain lots of charming points!

The game would tally up the points and tell you how the guys view you. And I'm hoping *crosses fingers* that maybe some of the story or part of the ending would change based off your "personality". Which I think is cool, but do tell me what -you- think XD I don't want to make a game only I love

For example, you might go to the fortune teller and she'll tell you what Sora thinks of you. Or maybe Sephiroth will make a comment on how "witty" or "shy" you are depending on what's your strongest personality type.



Any suggestion for names or descriptions I'd love to hear. If you think I missed a personality type, please tell me! My aim is to have a variety of types, that are different from each other; no repeats... but not anymore than 10 personality types (the less the better for writing sake).

Course the list isn't meant to be a chain for writers either. I realize it might be too difficult to add in every personality type. That might stifle creativity. But that's why we'll have multiple writers and editors cuz "two heads are better than one." ^_^

Keep in mind, none of these personalities traits are meant to be negative. Just different ways people can be. The guys won't hate you because you're "icy" or "odd". I'm pretty sure being "icy" will actually attract Axel O_O! Course being charming might not be the best way to warm up to Sephiroth... XD But you could still win his heart regardless. Hey, maybe eventually he'll fall for that charming act? Maybe that's crack, but it's a game and we're allowed to dream So let's have fun with it

I haven't replied to everyone yet, and I might not get there for awhile... but I'll update you guys with what's going on.



--Character Poll--

Votes are still opened and will stay open for until I'm ready to add in the "secret" character. So any character still has a chance.

As it has been suggested by and others. The other characters might, MIGHT, make appearances in the game but not as date-able characters. For example, I'm dying to make Reno and Rude teachers in the game. It might not happen, but we'll see.

--News for Artists--

I've decided to make the "Lead Artist". That means she'll be taking care of a lot of art stuff so I'm more free to focus on other stuff.

Currently she's drawing the new graphics for the guys. She's doing the line-art, expressions, and coloring them in flash. So if you have any ideas for poses, expressions, or clothes, please send her a note. Be sure to send me a note too, so I can fav and credit your stuff ^_^

I think she has the character art under control. She's very talented and capable (and better than me lol). So please give her your support.

Right now art-wise, I think the biggest help I need is backgrounds. But I might just use photos for that... unless anyone is really good with backgrounds?


--News for Writers--

Please read the "event list" and it's comments if you're interested in writing or giving suggestions for writers.

I'm still open to new event ideas, but I'm more interested in making our current ideas even better. So please take a look and see what would make those ideas have more depth or humor ^_^ or just think of what would happen in those events.



Since I've been asked about it. I'll be uploading a template for writing events. After programming for awhile I have an idea what is least confusing. I have to make the template, so I'll get to it as soon as I can.





--Game Status/Features--
I'm still programming and writing/editing X_X Both are very time consuming. At least for me T^T

Events that have more length than sora's take more time to program. Vincent's beach event (which is finished now... except for graphics lol) is about 750 lines of code O___O It would give you a heart attack to see it but I've actually gotten very use to it. So it's not confusing, it just takes time like all good things. Options... yeah having "options" in a game makes a lot of code lol


While it may seem a small accomplishment... I've added the dress-up portion to the game. So no more stick-figure girl she's now who-ever you make her to be! Honestly I wasn't sure it it would work. I'm so glad it has. There are still improvements needed to be made, Like expressions during conversation, add in ribbons, etc. But the main part is done.

Also I'm working on a save/load feature. So you you can continue playing after taking a break. This also solves a very key issue of creating a game too big to download (or killing my computer lol). I'll upload the game in "chapters" and you'll be able to load your saved data from the previous chapter.

The save/load feature works. It's just a matter of fitting it into the game. Easier said than done. Names and scores should work, it's just going to be "fun" to program a way to save the characters you create (that was sarcasms btw, but I like programming so it's okay)

I'll be honest, I really like working on this game. But it's a bit overwhelming when I'm doing all the programming, I am the lead game designer, lead artist, lead writer, lead blah blah blah... point is I end up doing too much and it's overwhelming and not much fun...

btw, I'm not blaming you guys for Not doing more. I know I can't ask you to program and other stuff and only "I" committed myself to this project, not you. So I don't resent anyone for anything. It's just typically, one person doesn't do all this stuff -- and for very good reasons lol.

But I think I've gotten my second wind, and I'll take things a step at a time and continue with the game. The game might not be perfect, and I'm sure there'll be defects, but I'll make it happen.

I'm currently taking a summer class for "Game Testing" but I'll still make the time to work on this game. After all, these side projects are just improtant as the work I do in my classes.

I hope you'll remain patient with me. And perhaps in the future, or in future protects, I can gather a "team" to help with the bulk of things. That way I won't drag the project down because of the work load is all dependent on 1 person.

Maybe you guys wanna kill me for all the revolutions, but I think it's good progress ^_^;

So I've been cleaning up and updating the info in the old deviations and got to thinking about the point system and had an idea. Instead of having points awarded for a certain action/words I was thinking of having personality points.

What is that? Well, the player could choose from doing something flirty, sweet, or sarcastic. If the player chooses the flirty action, they'll receive one flirty point. But if they choose the sweet/kind action they'll receive a kind point.

There would be several different personalities stats, like intelligent, kind, flirty, humor, shy, sarcastic, etc.

How will this add all up? Well I was thinking that every event shared with a guy would give an event point. Plus there are personality points. To get an ending with a guy, the player must have so many event points with that guy. Now... the personality points would effect the ending the player gets. Like he might mention how comforting you are or how much you made him laugh. (now that I think about it, it's sorta like a massive personality quiz lol)

I could make it where certain character require a certain amount of personality points. Like sephi might need you to be somewhat intelligent, but I dunno if I wanna do that. Feedback?


Also I need to figure out a set name of stats for the points. Do you guys have any ideas on what personality traits might be included?

Okay here's a question. How many of you guys are on dial up? I'm wondering because I don't want to make the game too big for your computers to handle. Though, I'll be breaking the game into pieces to help with file size and such. One of the reasons I ask is because I'm thinking about the art content and thinking about making it better. Or adding music o.o But that would make the game very big.





---Art Graphics-----
I'm reconsidering the art style and graphics. Partly because some of the current graphics are bad and Vincent doesn't look 6 feet tall XD *cough* anyways. Uh... what do you guys think? I'd like to try out something diff and see how it goes.

I wanna to do an assembly line for the art. So instead of one person doing all the different parts. We'll break it down into jobs and pass the art along till it's complete

Need a very good artists (or better than me ) to draw guys to be turned into graphics. Needs good anatomy knowledge D: Doesn't need to be shaded art since it'll be turned into lineart.

--Line Art--

Need someone to take sketches and turn them into line to be colored.

---Color----

Need someone who can color in a cell shaded style. Line art with be provided so all you need to do is color -3-


--Facial Expressions--

Need someone who can take an already made graphic and add facial expressions to it. Some of it would be making the eyes look to the side and other would be adding exaggerated expressions.

If you can work in flash, yay. But if you don't have flash, you can do it in an art program with layers. You'll have to save the facial expressions as separate png files.


--Someone with Flash--

Because that's all you really need lol. Um, if the facial expression person doesn't have flash. I need someone who will add facial expressions to a character in Flash.

Basic knowledge of how to use flash is needed. The more you know, the more helpful. But I can teach a thing or two about flash


--Clothes--

Need someone to draw clothes to already made graphics. I think I have more than one person who'll do this... but just in case, is there anyone else who wants to help out here

Beach Meeting

Meeting one of the guys at the beach before going off to school

Orentation
You only meet one guy on the beach, but the rest of them you'll meet at orientation. Late for your first day can you get out of trouble and still impress the guys with good first impressions


Rainy Day
Half the guys forget their umbrellas you can decide who to share umbrella with or the opposite choose that you forgot your umbrella and the other guys the have one can share with you


Detention
You some how caused enough rucus for the teachers to give you detention. Would you be able to relate and build up a relationship with one of the daily detention club members?(probably someone like Axel but decrease relation with someone like Sephiroth...)


Struggle Game/School Nurse
You get to play a game of struggle or cheer on the guys. Less athletic guys might end up at the nurses, or perhaps if you lose you'll end up at the nurse's office.

Secret Admirer (Thanks to )
You get a love letter in your locker! But who is it from!? You ask one of the girls for advice (kairi, namine, or aerith) and she suggests investigating. Thus you sneakily interrogate a few boys to see if he likes you! Or do some “tests” :3
You never really find out who wrote the love letter. But if you ask the right questions some of the guys seem like they are hiding something. Very suspicious!


Home Economics

I've learned a lot of neat tricks with my Flash two class. I'd like to rework the programming to make the game more efficient. Not sure if I will, but I might.

I haven't read through the beach meetings in awhile, but I don't think I need help as much as I just like to edit them. But I'll let you guys know if I need help

Clothes is mostly what I need from artist. Though some background art and someone good at drawing people might be helpful ^_^;


---------------------WRITING------------------

I dunno if you wanna call it a new system or whatever. But I came up with this method that I think will help us with writing. Since coming up with an idea for each character can be difficult I though if we had a general event that you can experience with each character would be easier to write for. The situation would be set, but each guy would react differently.

--------------------sick event-----------------------------

For example. My sister came up with the idea that the guys get sick and you get to choose who you visit and give them a gift! I added that it was food poison from the meatball tacos (which is way so many people got sick at once!). So you get to see them in their PJs XD The gifts would be the same for everyone. Like you could give flowers, medicine, getwell card, etc. Sora would like the flowers, but might not be as impressed with medicine. Whereas medicine would be appreciated by Sephiroth and flowers would raise an eyebrow.

Having that basis makes it easier, yes? Feel more inspired?


So the idea is we come up with some general concepts like that. And then people would go off and write about each guy.

so for example there could be a shopping event...

There could be an event where you go shopping with each guy. And perhaps you can shop for clothes XD thus you can pick out what he wears, whether it be something crazy or cool (though I'll have to get graphics for this).

So what are some outfits we can make the guys wears? Would would be their reactions? Is there something else you could shop for? What is a cool/fun store that you've been to?

I think I've come up with a new "system" of writing that I think will help us writing out a lot. Since it's so hard to come up with really good ideas. Thanks to my little sis, she gave me a bright idea! But I'll explain it after school lets out

I'll pick up the game again when summer hits (the start of May). I'll have summer school going on, but I should be able to work on this game. I plan on having my friends help with the flash to hurry up the process.

Also, I've learned many nice tricks with Flash So hopefully I'll use my new found knowledge for the betterment of the game!

FLASH help wanted (-3-)

Basically I need someone to add text in and set up functioning buttons in flash.

I need someone who has a flash program, and knows how to use it. If possible, I prefer to have some people who already knows a little scripting. But the most I would need you to know is how to use labels and "gotoANDPLAY" script. But if not... I could teach it.

I would send you a flash file via e-mail, with buttons, menu, etc already done. Basically all the scripting is done too, you just need to change it up. Add labels for the buttons to go to. And of course add the text from a script I'll provide. Which can be confusing, so it might be a challenge.

I'll talk more if you're interested.

It might not be fun, but this would help me out A LOT!

I've been skimming over what you guys are writing in the writing corner and it's just awesome XD I wasn't aware since DA doesn't inform me of replies made to others on my deviation.

To answer some questions. Yes, the guys will be wearing costumes. So designs will need to be figured out. I've already received a coustume for Axel as a wolf from though I might do a fox. Either way, I feel it suiting to his personality.

For Vincent, I like the idea of a demon or chaos (or even another limit breaker). Just because "Vampire" would be expected, so let's surprise people ^_~ I agree that some wouldn't wear a costume, but somehow or another we'll make them or just ignore that fact for the fun of the game XD

the oh so wonderful club is trying to help others appreciate writing more by holding their first fanfiction contest. It doesn't have to be super long, it could be a short funny story, or even poetry. It's all about writing!

First I'd like to say, please don't send anything to me yet! I'm a little overwhelmed with stories, the game, school, and comments that I don't want to add more to my to-do-list. Ok, NOW I'll tell you what not to send to me yet

Once the next update comes, I'll be working on the player art. That means I'll need designs for the player! Hair styles, hair accessories, eye types, noses, jewelry, hats, scarfs, different school neck ties, wrist watch, collars, tattoos, piercings, whatever. This will be designs for the school uniform. I don't mind if you send me original cool designs or something that looks like you! Whatever you want to see in the game ^_^

Just as a disclaimer, I probably won't be able to use everything since the more stuff the larger the file size. But don't let that stop you from sending stuff in, I'll see what I can do!

That's when I realize just how lucky I am, because you guys are a really great support in many ways, and I hope I'll never take that for granted ^_^

For homework, I have to rewrite a story summer, write a monologue, daiologue, a catch phrase for my game writing class and discussion questions O_O ...and that's just game class. Oh dear... I also have that web design test *smashes head into keyboard* ok sorry I try not to ramble about myself on these journals lol. My point was it's pretty busy this week.

Hey? if you had to write a catch phrase for a dude who doesn't talk much, is very matter of fact, seems emotionless but his fear drives his existence, he acts cold but inside he's just sad, ....what would you write?

a catch phrase is something someone says a lot, it could be "I'll be Back" or.... saying a pray after someone dies.... or a war cry...

My friend joked that my game character would say "I don't do catch phrases" hahaha.

OH! I got the freelance job. It's sounding more like a job though @_@ I don't really want a "true" job, freelance is fine... but I don't want to be very committed to one person, because I wanna do games. Well.... we'll see how it goes. But I'm gonna get $16 an hour o_O that's $10 more than my last job in retail haha. She said if I did well then she'll bump it up to $20 and hour.

School is demanding to say the least. I've had a lot of frustrating projects. I hope you guys will continue to be patient with me. I plan on setting up a schedule for myself to work on this project so many hours a day on my free days (4 of the 7). I hope that'll help me make better progress with the game ^_^

Is this a good time to mention I, the captain of this ship, have serious time management issues O_o You probably want to declare a mutiny and throw me overboard lol, but I shall try and reform my ways >.< *feel the power!*

Just to let you guys know, I have gotten some little job offers to do some flash web stuff. Not like a real job, but just a project I'll get paid for. So that might take some of my time... but then I might use the money to get a subscription and other game project related stuff ^_^

Manging the stories here is no easy business! Sad to say a lot of my time is spent manging things. Alright now for updates!!

I've revamped some of the writing FAQ and added (though I made some changes) what I wrote in the journal the other day about the changes I wanted to see in writing. I'm trying to revamp everything to fit the new writing style because I want everyone to start writing in that way.

I feel like it's too much to ask... but if you've written a story... and you have the time, please look over it and see how the new style could apply to it. Remember I'm hoping this will make the events more fun and interesting, so have fun with it!!

----Writing Concerns--------
I guess because this is my first game I'm not an expert on what makes a dating sim good. I'm starting to rethink the writing events. Partly due to some comments others have made and the fact that I'm not really satisfied with the date event being like the beach meeting. I have an idea, but it may require some of the events people have already written to be re-written. But I think it'll be ok, because I think you guys will like this change.

Basically the idea that the player will get to choose what they say, causing different reactions or things to take place. Same as before, BUT these choices will not be "negative" or "positive" choices. So instead of the player always choosing the "nice and polite" answer for the sake of winning, she can tease, be sweet, question, be silly, deep, rowdy, annoying, get angry etc etc without it costing points. These options allow the player to "be themselves" to some extend and get to enjoy different reactions from the guys. Crude Example: Like one event could lead to learning his favorite color, while in the same event you might not learn that information but you get flirt with him and see him blush.

There will still be points. However there might be 1 point or 2 possible points gainable for each event. These point gaining questions or choices will be based on knowing the guy. Maybe you guys can help me here... cause I haven't thought this part out completely. But it might be something like knowing what drink he likes, talk to him about his favorite thing, maybe in the way how you handle sensitive subject for the guy, etc. I dunno, if you got any ideas I'd love to hear them.

One example might be, as pointed out, that Sephiroth wants someone he can have a good argument/debate with. So there might be a point where you can choose to say something smart but sarcastic, be timidly polite, or change the subject. Now this is where the "positive" "neutral" "negative" stuff comes in. Some of these events might be obvious (like talk to Sora about theater) but others will be more of a challenging because the player won't see the difference between the point choices and the normal choices. But that's more like real life and makes it more rewarding when you win the guy. Especially if you've "been yourself" and that's what won points with the guy.

For random reasons I've decided to hold an fanart contest XD So if any of you artists are bored or want a challenge, then you can take a crack as this. It's not for KH or FF7 fanart, BUT OP-KH-DS fanart o.O So maybe it could be an illustration of an event that happens in the game. The guys in their causal cloth/school uniform. Alright I didn't get any "no"s to the writing group thingy so we'll do that Since some people might not want to put their pieces up, anyone has the right to not have their pieces be posted. But everyone that's willing will get their pieces displayed.

I guess the easiest way to do this is post the writing as a deviant art writing piece and people can make comments. Then I'll switch out the piece after the piece looks like it's finished.

I'm not sure if this is the best way to go about it, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'll be glad to hear them

There is a new type of event now. Dual guy events O_o that's a lame name to suggest that two guys can appear at the same time. An example would be Axel picking on Vincent. Then the player can say stuff to win points (or lose points) with one of the guys. This should make some interesting dialog especially with FF7 vs KH guys.

I had a thought, I don't know if it would work or if I even do it, but how would you guys feel about working on the written events as a group? I would post new stories as a deviation, and everyone can put their input and ideas into the stories. I know not everyone as enough ideas to write a story, but could help give ideas to other writers and so forth. I'd only do this if people were comfortable with showing their work and others were willing to put in there input.

This is just a thought, tell me what you think.

I'm proud to announce that story will be used for Sora's Alternative meeting where the player happens upon sora practicing for a play. has provided Riku's Alternative meeting in the cafeteria. And was kinda enough to write a very long event with Sora That's just to name a few accomplishments you've guys done. I even managed to write a date with Riku, but I don't know if my writing is too dramatic for some people's tastes lol. Hopefully there will be a mix of stories types.

1. My dream is to design/write video games that tackle issues like fear and love, and challenge the way people look at life.
2. I have a crazy 18 page (and still going… ) Pokemon doujin (comic) about my sister trying to find me in the pokemon world. The art stinks but it’s funny lol.

Current State:
Ok... aside from being sick. I've had to lend by laptop to my father. It has all my stories, designs, my programs, and my game file on it. Thus-- it makes it difficult to work on the game... and difficult to manage new stories and designs you're giving me. School starts in a about a week so that spells my doom. But don't worry, this game is my will be my "free time" piece.

Ok~ I've added stuff to the "Needs" area about writing. If you're a writer working on the 1st meeting stuff. Please read it. I'm hoping it'll help with any confusion.

I majorly revamped the Needs section [link] ...or it just felt like it haha. Aside from adding FAQs and some editing, I now have goals for how many stories and designs I need.

the meat of it:

I need 3 casual outfits for each guy
1 formal wear for each person.
I'm looking for 10 school events, but they don't have to be super long stories.
5 date events.
(look at the needs section for all the goals)

I hope setting a goal like this will help us reach it. I didn't want to set anything in stone because I wasn't sure how many stories we could gather up. If I can, I'll keep adding stories beyond the number here.
