I bet you didn't expect to hear back from me. Well too bad.

I few interesting things have happened since *looks back to last journal* May 26. Over the summer I had a babysitting job for Mom's coworker's son and friends. Really, though, it was chauffeuring because they are both 13, but whatever. What this means is I spent most of that time running in the mornings and reading by the pool in the afternoons... or watching movies, depending on the weather.

School started out decently well. I started hanging out with a guy that I met last Halloween and we are now happily dating. Consequences of my actions: two, maybe three friends lost. Worth it? Yes. The one turned out to be more of a bitch than I thought (she started spreading rumors about me and forging IM conversations to "prove" that I was turning into a monster), and she apparently didn't take any time to get to know me anyway. The other, well, I'll still miss him, but he only wanted me to be happy with him. Needless to say, he didn't approve of my new choice of beau. The possible third I would very much like the salvage the relationship from, but it won't ever be how it could have been. *sigh*

Yet again one of my friends (and not an emotionally distant friend) got married and didn't tell me. She didn't tell anyone from back home and we're all pissed at her. It's possible she'll be having a "reception" party in late December and I'll go, but I'm bringing my boyfriend with me.

Thanksgiving was decently relaxing. We cooked and brought Thanksgiving dinner to my aunt who broke her leg. Her and my uncle were on his motorcycle and a deer jumped into the side of them. Uncle John was able to keep the bike upright (How?! HOW?!?!) but the deer, a six-point buck, still broke her leg. The buck died, though, so it's all good. Aunt Chris' bones were fractured in many places, one of which looks like someone bit into it--it's still attached. She won't be able to put any weight at all on it until Christmas, so we put up her Christmas decorations for her before we left. She was very appreciative.

Currently I have a paper due on Wednesday that I need to write tonight because I have a presentation for a paper that I haven't started researching also on Wednesday. I also have a 1000 word paper due Monday, but I already have that done.

That's all for now.

I just glanced over the thumbnail versions of them, but don't be mad at me! I saw every one. I promise.

So things have been going relatively well for me. Well. Besides not being able to get a job. Seriously, you'd think someone out of 7 would hire me... Anyway, Mike and I went to Ormond Beach, FL a couple weeks ago with his mom. It was really nice down there and I was sad to drive the 15 hrs back. This weekend I went with Mom to my cousin's bridal shower in NY. It was a good time and apparently one of the toll booth guys was checking me out when I was sleeping in the car on the way up. o_O

Has anything interesting been happening with you?

It sure has been a while.

I have finished my second year of college and am now home enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend. Unfortunately, I'll only get to appreciate from my room because it needs to be cleaned and organized. BADLY. But I'll still get the gentle breezes. ^_^

This summer I need to find a job. I've already applied to a few places and, of course, only one responded. With a no.

Life has been going well for me. I made some new friends this past year that I'll be keeping in touch with wherever they decide to roam to. It's nice to have such interesting people to call my friends.

In a year and a month or two I'll be headed off to Japan for a semester abroad. I'll (hopefully) be going to Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. They seem to be my best chance of learning everything I can while I'm there and having lots of fun. I look forward to it. ^_^

Tekko this year was better than last year, I suppose. There was still lots of drama, but not as devastating as last year's was. Hopefully next year's will be even less... if they have Tekko next year...

Well, I think it's about time I start cleaning my room. Enjoy the weather and have a great summer!

Greetings from God-knows-where! I figured with a new deviation should come a new journal, especially since I haven't posted anything in almost a month... Anyway, things are going well here. I go back to Pitt on Sunday where I'll get to have classes and hang out with , among some other cool cats. My break was only slightly eventful. Mostly I did nothing. Yay for breaks!

I'm already getting excited for Tekko this year. I shall be Ueda from Jungle wa Itsumo Hare nochi Guu (Hare and Guu)... maybe. It depends on if I have enough extra fabric, which I probably will. In all actuality, I'll just be a leopard princess with awesome makeup and such. This was inspired by a comment an acquaintance/friend made in an email: "its like leah the leopard princess who doesn't take gruff from the wildlife." lol This is partially me getting back at that low-life. *mumble grumble*

Sooooooo.... I've been trying to work on this other piece, but it's been difficult. I think the problem is, there is a story being told in it, but I don't know what it is... Once the character tells me, it'll probably flow a lot easier.

Oh! I just came back from seeing the Twilight movie (finally). It was better than I expected it to be, but I had really low expectations in the first place. It probably would have been better if I hadn't read the books, but oh well. My favorite part was when Edward flung Bella onto her bed.

Yeah...... can't think of anything else to say. Good luck with everything, everyone!

My brain rocks. If I have an entertaining dream, it will take the entertaining element and plop it into a different setting and dream. In the dream, I'll remember it from another dream.

Like last night, I went to a catered banquet with a dream friend, but they only allowed about twenty people to eat. It was first come, first serve, but they let people stand on the far side of the room to watch the show. I didn't really feel like eating, so I snuck over to the other side of the room where the entertainment was going to happen and tried to stay out of the way. The entertainment was these two solo singers that were in a previous dream. I really like them. ^_^ There is a woman and a man. Their music is kinda 40s, but I love it. They sing two songs each: the woman, the man, the man again, and the woman ending. I'm standing only a few feet from both of them. I kinda remember the woman's first song, and I definitely remember the man's second song. The woman's last had something to do about something in your pocket....I think it was a meatball, because one of the servers picked up a dish of pasta and the meatball slid into his jacket pocket. I laughed and told the woman and she thought I was being smart, but I explained that it was true and she blinked at me and said "That's impeccable." She didn't get to sing her last song, though, because I woke up after the third song. All of these songs are full length, completely made up by my head, and used for the second time in my dreams. I hope I get to see these two perform again!

And if you're wondering, "Smooth Favors" was the name of the guy's second song.

And sleep! 4 hours of sleep is not enough! *flail*

Here's a thought I had to consider today:

Have I been a part of his erotic daydreams? o_O

Now consider it for yourself. O_O

Here's the background. I just found out my friend Jonathan has thought about trying to get me in bed. He hasn't made any advances (as far as I can tell) and I have no feelings for him like that whatsoever, but I still had to face this thought. What really surprised me about this was the extra information. When two people whom I have only met once before found out, they wanted to inflict massive pain onto him. One of these people is very non-violent. Did I really leave an impression so strong that it would make a pacifist want to hurt someone who wants to get in my pants? Suddenly I feel like Hachiko from Nana. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing. I mean, it's flattering that they want to protect me, but at the same time I'm not someone who really needs protection. Do I come off as someone who does??

Quotes of the Day: "Thank you for being gentle with the handcuffs."
"And so I humped the building."

Have you ever had something so sweet, it's sour? I'm trying to write a paper and I'm drinking a RockStar energy drink that I got from someone campaigning for homecoming queen (what's the point of a king and queen in college, anyway?). At first it tasted like cherry Jones Soda, but not I can barely swallow it. And there's 16oz. of the stuff! There's no way I'll be able to drink even half of this thing. If you know me and pop you'll understand. Even BAWLS doesn't do this to me! And we all know how sweet that is.

And what the hell is up with this cold weather?? It's 42 degrees here and it's not even Halloween yet! (BTW, what is everyone being and doing for Halloween? It's my friend's birthday, so I'll be hanging out with her) This winter is supposed to be horrendous. I can already tell that's going to be true. It the sidewalks ice up on Wednesday any time this semester, I'm going to, literally, be dead. I half to run all the way across campus (downhill, but that's worse on ice) to my next class. Jogging there takes about 15 minutes. I have 10. It SUCKS. Add ice to that and I won't make it. Fail.

I just had deja vu from a dream I had back in middle school. I remember telling someone that in my dream the night before I was writing a paper and the only thing I could remember from it was the name Tim O'Brien. I asked that person if they recognized the name: they didn't. Tim O'Brien is the author of the book I'm writing my paper on.

Anyway, just wanted to rant a bit.

It wasn't as crowded as the last time, and with more people in the group it was much more fun, despite the rain. I took care of myself when I got back, so I didn't wake up sick this morning! I even got to sleep in for once!

Tonight (Saturday) I went to a concert in Bellfield Hall. The first group playing was this three person group named Appalachia. There was a banjo, lap dulcimer, and an erhu. It was really neat! But the main event was Chirgilchin: Tuvan throat singers! Throat singers are able to sing two different notes at the same time. The first note is half a hum and half singing and it stays constant. The second note(s) is a whistling sound that sounds like a bird singing along with a human. There is great control with these second notes. It was truly INCREDIBLE! Here's the last song they sang [link] At the concert tonight there was along a woman who could do it, but she didn't. I was sad. This was one of my favorite songs [link] If I remember correctly, it's about old married men. XD

Well, I'm off to bed. Think of a person you miss and write the first thing you remember them saying to you.
Josh: "If you were a kitty, I would put you in a cage and pet you until you die. And then I would pet you some more."

15. What is your favorite style of music?
At the moment, anything calming.

16. What kind of people would you rather hang out with: introverts or extroverts?
EXTROVERTS

17. Fruit or vegetables?
Fruit

18. Do you sleep nude?
I prefer to, but there are obvious exceptions. I don't think my roommate would appreciate it much. Neither would my friends.

19. The time has come...
to speak of many things. Of Jacks and Kings and Queens.

20. What is your most interesting nickname?
Master (:<

21. What will you miss about today?
Sitting in Sara's comfy chair while relaxing to comforting hang music.

22. If you acquired two of the same pet at the same time, what would you name them?
Su and Shi

23. How much time do you spend with just yourself?
Right now, most of my time. Hopefully that will change a little once I get back home from college.

24. If you got to go on a shopping spree, meaning whatever you could grab in a certain amount of time was yours to keep for free, what store would you pick?
Uh... the biggest manga/anime store there is. As long as the manga is in English.

25. You've just been given the chance to bring a fictional character to life! Who would you choose?
There are so many I want to choooooooose! Ok.
From a published book (fiction/manga/comic book/etc.)? Beloved (aka Fool) from the author Robin Hobb (he appears in three trilogies). Sorry Edward.... (Twilight)
From a non-published book? Kael Bloodroyal, of course! Sir mi vela, mir penohad. <3
From a movie or TV show (real people/cartoon/anime/etc.)?
OMG *dies* Spongebob Deathnote!
[link]

I had a fun weekend because came to visit. We just hung out on Friday after she got here. My suitemates and the guys across the hall (who were in our suite) got drunk and were yelling random things like "I'm using CREST WHITENING STRIPS!!" and "You're drunk as fuck." We proceeded to make fun of them and made up fun drunken stories about us and w-inds. ^_^

Saturday we had breakfast/lunch beneath Towers and explore the nationality rooms in the Cathedral of Learning. Afterwards, we wandered over to the chapel and sat there for approx. an hour because there was going to be a wedding. We sat on the roped off steps (below the rope) so we would be out of the way; we wanted to see the bride in her dress. We pretended to be invisible every time one of the coordinators came by and it worked until, like, 2 minutes before the wedding started. Then the guys was like "Are you here to see the chapel?!" He was frantic. We said "No... we just kinda wanted to see the bride in her dress..." "Okay, just stay here." We won! We got to see her and she was SO PRETTY!! We went back to the dorm for a while until we got hungry. Then we went to this little sushii place called Oishii. If you know any Japanese, you know how awesome that is. XD The food there was great and we found out kimchi is REALLY spicy.

Sunday I went to church before ~animeangel2010 got up because we didn't know when her parents were gonna pick her up. They came at about 12:30, so we just hung out until then.

Overall, fun weekend. I've been trying to work on my cosplay today, but it hasn't been going well. I'm taking a break, but I'll probably get back to it in a few minutes.

I gave Keita (the black and white I posted a couple days ago) to ~animeangel2010 so Ryuichi (the black and white I did a while ago that has been hanging on my wall) has been lonely. I printed out a copy of Keita for him. He seems a lot happier now. ^_^

That's about it. Give me a call sometime!

Happy birthday to me! I just had what's probably going to be the best part of today. My roommate (who's birthday is also today. awesome, ne?) and I celebrated by sharing the pieces of cake we brought back from this weekend's celebration. Ironically, we both had chocolate cake with cream cheese mixed in somehow. Delicious.

I say it's probably going to be the best part of today because I have a paper due, two quizzes, and a test to look forward to. ><

EDIT: I finally have all of my tests and quizzes and papers done for this week. I just have one class tomorrow morning and then I get to look forward to coming and staying with me over the weekend! Yay!

Unfortunately, Sutherland Hall filled up before I was able to claim a spot for next year, so I'll be living in Holland Hall 0406-2 in a triple, instead. Kinda sad, but I won't have to walk up the hill!... not that I really minded in the first place, but oh well.

So today I went with Sloane and Johnson to the Pittsburgh installation site. I met them in Station Square, so I had a jolly good time praying I was on the right bus the entire time. I got off the bus for a transfer and realized I wouldn't be getting on another bus. I'd be getting on the subway. New adventure that wasn't all that amazing, except I didn't know where and when to pay. I got that straitened out easily enough. I met with Sloane and Johnson (the late bums) and we went to the site. Yeah. Where they want it sucks. There is concrete below and where there is gravel, there are trains that go by every 10-15 minutes. We did, however find a good spot off the fire escape (that you use to get up to the bridge) that faces the trail and the river. We just don't know if we will be allowed to use that spot. We don't really see a problem with us using it, but it's up to the building's owners to decide.

After that we took a trip to South Side Works and had lunch in a fancy place and looked around in a kitchen store. Ask Johnson tomorrow if she found her pink gloves.

After lunch we went to The Andy Warhol Museum to check out the Ron Mueck stuffs. AMAZING, by the way. [link] The smaller pieces were creepy as hell. I thought they where going to start moving! They dropped me off at Joanne Fabrics and I did some shopping for Tekko.

Here's were it started to get interesting. I walked from Joanne's to outside the Sears at Ross Park Mall to catch the bus (which I almost missed). That is such a big hill! I got on the bus and watched as he stopped right in front of the Joanne's plaza. I walked up that hill for nothing. I got off where I was supposed to transfer and waited at the appropriate intersection for my next bus and saw it go passed me to the next intersection. I figured I had just written down the wrong street (I was at 6th, it stopped at 5th). So I got on and, yet again, prayed I was on the right bus. I found out I was on the right bus, just going in the wrong direction. I had to get off at the last stop and wait for the next bus to come. I would have been home more than an hour earlier if I had realized I needed to get on on the other side of the street. Why don't the bus schedules tell you which side to be on?! *sigh*

Well, I made it back and am alright. I just hope I didn't forget anything. I don't want to make that trip again. ><

Today was a pretty good day. I woke up, like, two seconds before my alarm went off, which is good because I accidentally had it on vibrate and I would have been late for church. I had some cereal at Market Central and ran into, guess who! IAN MUNDY!! I've been looking for him since I came here. X3 Finally I got to see him. He always throws me off, though, 'cause his greeting is a hug. I expect it, but it still confuddles me. *shakes head*

I've got a load of work to do for school 'cause I've been slacking off (especially on Calc...). I made a small dent in the list today, so at least I'm getting some done. Most of it isn't due for a while... actually most of it isn't due until the end of the semester, but I started researching anyway. *shrug*

What have I been doing while slacking off? Reading and watching anime, of course! I've been reading Dr. McNinja and Dresden Codak which are awesome webcomics. Not to mention all of the manga I've been absorbing at B&N... As for anime, I've been stuck on Bleach, trying to catch up to everyone. I'm sure the manga is better, but it's quicker to go through the anime and B&N doesn't have that much Bleach. -_- Actually, they're lacking in the popular manga section. They're pretty good for the slightly obscure stuff. Oh well. I'm getting my fill. XD And then there's Geoff, the B&N worker. He's always asking me my opinion of manga and for plot summaries so he can "tell customers about it in case some old woman comes in looking for something for her grandkid." I really think he's just hitting on me, but he's nice so I won't be mean or anything. At least he's not like that guy who was drinking coffee, being drunk, and doing homework while constantly talking to me. Oi. He wouldn't shut up! >~<

For all you ninja fans of the Ninja v. Pirate stuff. Pirate fans should look, too.
[link]

I was so busy over the weekend, I wasn't able to scan anything. So I wound up scanning them with one of the Pitt scanners today. That was a pain in the ASS. First it had to configure, then it needed to restart, then everything I scanned scanned inversely. WTF?! I suppose it was okay, since everything was in black and white anyway, but it was really weird lookin'. *sigh* Oh well, that's done with for now. I'm planning on making more in this style--finishing the w-inds. group, anyway. I really liked how all of them turned out.

Ooo! I ordered the Sweeney Todd OST Saturday from B&N with a 25% off coupon. It should be coming soon; I'm excited! In the mean time, I've been listening to Takashi - Storm Zone, which I got at the Pitt bookstore in clearance. Takashi Matsunaga is an 18 year old jazz piano player from Japan. I really like the CD and I wish there were more than just the one! He wrote all the music and two others play on the upright bass and the drums. They have a really fun sound; I'm really glad I bought the CD.

If any of you have a boring weekend with nothing planned, you can come down and visit me! <3

Lots has happened in the last couple of days. Thursday I went to Cru (Campus Crusades for Christ). It's pretty much just mission trip program. It was alright. I'll probably go back; everyone was really nice. Afterwards, Sara and I stayed up talking about religion and stuff until after midnight. It was fun.

Friday I sat around after class and did homework. Then most of Cru and I went to a gymnastics competition, which one of the Cru girls was in. Damn those girls can flip. 3/4 of the way through, we left and went to watch a movie at South Side. Everyone went to see Juno except Sara and I. We saw The Bucket List. It was funny and serious. Not bad. The ride home was interesting because the campus bus was full of drunks. o_O

Saturday I went to see The Lion King with Brittany and her parents at the Benedum and we went to The Olive Garden afterward. The Lion King was interesting. Better than I thought it was going to be. I expected something different from the Disney movie, but it was the Disney movie, just with a couple of added songs etc. When I got back to the dorm, I got to meet Sara's friend Amber and we decided to go get some Coldstone ice cream. While we were waiting at the bus stop, someone hit Amber with a paint ball launched out of a slingshot in a moving van. It hit her upper right thigh and there is probably a welt there today. Some people are such jerks. The rest of the evening went well and the ice cream was very good.

And today I haven't really done anything except for church.

Oh, and I finished Harry Potter 7 Thursday. I was so right about Snape.

I am officially moved into Pitt. *does Vash's version of* Scary! One of my 7 roommates is here too, lucky me. Her name is Irene and she is Chinese, her family living in Taiwan (her grandparents were smart and got out during all the communist activity). It's really boring here so far. Irene, her boyfriend and I went out to eat at 5 Guys, a burger joint with yummy burgers and fries. After that I fixed up my room a bit, worked out (if you could call it that) in the "gym," and took a shower. The "gym" has a rowing machine, two treadmills, three of those weird non-contact treadmills (I didn't like it, made my knees hurt), a couple of stair steppers, and a weird crunch machine.

Tomorrow I get to go to some weird orientation that takes me around Pittsburgh with some other new kids and their parents. The place where it starts is so far away. ;_; The church is even farther and I think it would take about the same time to walk there as it would to take the bus system, so I'll just walk.

I miss home and all you guys already.

Edit:
I already am having problems here. Yay! Not. You have to upload a Pitt program to be able to get online here, which as you can see from this journal, has worked. Unfortunately, it is no longer working. >< I am typing this portion from an E-mail Kiosk in the lobby of my res. hall. They won't be able to come fix it until Monday, so I'm stuck on this thing until then. *sigh* At least I made a new friend today....

And won a new flash drive!
Edit again:

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid term.

The answer by one student was so " profound " that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well:

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle’s Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

“First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let’s look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle’s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:
1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.
2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, “It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,” and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct……leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting “Oh my God.”

THE STUDENT RECEIVED AN A+.

If you get the chance and you're old enough (and think you can handle lots of blood), I recommend going to see Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. It's a demented musical directed by Tim Burton starring Johnny Depp and Alan Rickman (Snape from the Harry Potter movies <3). Unfortunately, Danny Elfman did not compose the music for this one, but I did really enjoy the music. Who knew Snape could sing!? It is rated R, so some of you may have to wait to rent it. Around here, it's only playing at Pittsburgh Mills, which is probably why you haven't heard of it (if you haven't). But like I said, go see it if you can!

In other news, I have to work EVERY DAY until January 4th, the day I leave for Pitt. Yes, even Christmas, even though that one's volunteer work 'cause Ian and I don't want to be killed the day after since they don't clean on X-Mas. <.< >.> I came home after work today, tried to take a nap--it got interrupted by me having to pick up Mom from church 'cause Dad didn't show--,finished taking the nap, woke up, and discovered a nice big headache and a streaked-up, ulcer-coated throat waiting for me. DX And I had to sing in choir for church at 5:30! not to mention the practice before that at 3:45. ><

So how about that option for students to take only concert band next year? BAD IDEA is what I say. The reason why the band rocks so hard at concert band it because we are a family by the time school starts! We have (had) to spend long, horrible (but fun) hours together starting two weeks before school even starts! By the time we hit concert band we know how we sound together, we know how to adjust to get the best sound out of the band. If we allow people to randomly pop in partway through the year, it will put us--you--back to square one! You know how little time there is to get Christmas music together two month before the concerts. But that's WITH everyone there and everyone knowing what part they play in the band. Just imagine how much that is going to SUCK when you cram in new people with different attitudes, not knowing how they fit, AND all the work you already have to do!

1. Have you honestly ever picked up a book and read it of your own free will?
All the time. I'm just about to pick up an old series again. ^_^

2. Got any favorite books/series?
Robin Hobb's The Farseer trilogy, Liveship trilogy, and Tawney Man trilogy. Actually it's a nine book trilogy. They just don't have one name. ^_^

3. Pick up the nearest book, turn to page 350, go to the 10th line down, and read.
"It was my turn to study the ghosts of the flames. 'You are making this very hard for me. Harder than it already was. Why? Why did you make me what I am, if you then try to weaken my resolve...?' My question died away, half-formed."

4. Got a favorite school subject?
Sculpture class, definitely. I'm gonna miss it.

5. Subject you want to kill and never see again?
Anything dealing with math. Including chemistry. *hiss*

6. Do you ever NOT hang out with your friends after school?
No, I do. Or at least I normally hang with my boyfriend since we have our last class together.

7. Do you like animals?
Yes

8. Favorite animal?
No horses.

9. Got any pets?
1 kitty = Sadie

10. Let me guess...you're not even taking this quiz because it's so nerdy and the first 3 questions have to do with books?
It's because I am nerdy that I'm taking it. Duh.

11. Favorite ice cream?
I really like Cookies 'N Cream, but I think I'm switching to Mint Chocolate Chip.

12. Spongebob is overrated...Agree or disagree?
Agreed.

13. Are you strictly a movie-goer when it comes to the Harry Potter movies?
Not really. I don't like the movies all that much, but I will watch each one at least once to see how they did.

14. Wintergreen or Spearmint?
Harsh. I like them both... I'd have to go with wintergreen.

15. Ever sat through a movie without going to the bathroom once?
How about every movie.

16. Ever seen a movie more than once at the theatre?
Yeah, I saw Pirates 3 in the theaters twice because the first time I was offered ticket options and the second time because my brother wanted to see it.

17. Ever laughed so hard you thought you might throw up?
Not quite that hard, no.

18. Listening to anything at the moment?

I miss all those long hugs. You know the ones. The ones where I wouldn't let go and you didn't try to push me away. Other people get uncomfortable and separate before I'm satisfied. You let me have my simple way. I miss that.

Now you're so far from me and I can't even get a wave from you.

I dreamed about you the other night. How you used to smell as you'd walk past me. You got on a bus and left me without a backward glance. Alone in an unfamiliar place. Now your scent has changed and all I have left is the memory.

I want to avoid all you have become. I want to pretend you haven't changed. But I know you have. And I must accept it.

It's so hard to know you will never be mine again.

I'm so insecure; and you knew it, I think. You stayed by my side when I couldn't tell you what was wrong. Even I didn't know at the time. But now I do; and still, I am,
that insecure little girl at your feet. Bleeding from my wrist.
Did you truly believe that? Do you still?

You promised to sing a sad song of hope that day, like once you did before. You promised we would never really part. But you didn't. And we have. And still I cry.

I've bloodied my knuckles for you in a show of love. I'd do it again if only you would return. I know you can't. And I know you won't. But still I can pretend, for only a moment, that you are still with me.

I've changed from that quiet, insecure girl, although insecure I may be. I begin more than I finish and I involve more than you ever did. You don't see the change. None of you do. You talk over my head like I'm a 6 year old coloring with crayons.

Stop. See me for who I am, no longer what you remember. And I will try to do the same.

I am officially an aunt! At 12:07 this afternoon, my sister-in-law had my oldest brother's baby. Eve Isabella is 7 lbs 7 oz., is 19 3/4" long and is adorable! He sent us a FLIX message to my phone. Although I had to see it on the internet.

My father is a jerk. Right after Mom and I found out, we told him and his response was "Oh. Okay." Not a smile, not a "how did it go," nothing that made him seem even remotely happy. When we told him she was born C-section, he asked why and started bitching about how doctors are impatient with births and just want to get them out so they can get paid. The only things he said concerning Eve, TOTAL, was "Oh. Okay," and "Why?" That's it.

Well. Mom and I are happy at least. And everything went well, so everyone is fine and dandy (Dad wouldn't be if I were allowed to hurt him).

Jones Soda has put out a limited edition Seahawks Collector Pack (same idea as the Thanksgiving Holiday Pack). They sent me a notice in an email and this is what it read. I thought it would be interesting, I ended up like this ->

Just how good are these new flavours you ask? We've got world famous sommelier (wine taster) to give us the tasting notes on this series of limited edition flavors. His notes are:

"Using Riedel glassware.

I've decided to taste them at room temperature to allow the full flavors to come forward and not be masked by cold.

Since no one has suggested a tasting order, aside from savoring Sweet Victory last, I'm attempting to order them from lowest to highest intensity of flavor. Hope I'm in the ball park.

Here goes....

Natural Field Turf - Fairly bright green color is actually more reminiscent of the original artificial turf than natural turf. Pleasant Jolly Rancher green apple aroma. Dry with medium body. Low carbonation. Much more fresh grass flavors in the mouth. Expecting New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, but got the clippings from the mower bag. Short, relatively clean finish.

Dirt - Murky brown color appears to be stagnant pond water, or a 40-year-old Riesling that was intended to be consumed immediately upon release. Expecting aromas of "terroir," but getting more Root Beer Barrel hard candy aroma with a faint perfumy character in the background. A bit more body than Turf, but still relatively dry with low carbonation.
Some compost flavors that finish surprisingly clean.

Perspiration - Crystal clear -- almost unnaturally devoid of color. (Scares me more than any of the colored versions.) Absolutely nailed this one. Not only smells of sweat, it's as if it was wrung from a jersey that was used for an entire week of two-a-days without laundering. In a wine tasting, we would label this "DNPIM" -- do not put in mouth. Medium to full bodied. Big hit of salt and sweat in the mouth. Unfortunately, has a long, lingering aftertaste. Wow, that's nasty.

Sports Cream - Cloudy with a chalky appearance a bit reminiscent of young white wine undergoing lees stirring. Pronounced aromas of Icy Hot with general locker room aromatics in the background. Full bodied and frankly sweet. A nice menthol character balances the sweetness somewhat.
Flavors include a waxiness reminiscent of Candy Lips. Pleasant, sweet aftertaste.

Sweet Victory - Cloudy in a similar manner to Sports Cream, but with a light robin-egg-blue color. Aromas of pure cotton candy. Like Sports Cream, full bodied and very, very sweet. Cotton candy flavor with hints of toffee and creme brule in the background. Sweet aftertaste could induce hyperglycemia.

Extra credit...blend of Turf and Dirt smells like the underside of my John Deere mower that is long overdue for a cleaning.
Well, there you have it. Thanks for the chance to participate."
