I'm testing out Anthropology as a major. It's alright. If I decide that it really isn't for me I'm just gonna get a portfolio together and transfer to Tyler, which is Temple's art school. Assuming they let me in. They probably will.

By the way, there's a shitload of art that I need to put up on here. Next time I go home I'll HOPEFULLY get pics taken and put them up here. I need to do some dev art house cleaning too IF YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN. ugh I have a headache.

So back to college and how it's fun. It really isn't that hard to make friends. Most of mine are jewish boys. They are wonderful. They can get me into the Jewish frat when they have parties (which is often.) Normally I would never think of myself as the type to party at a frat, but there's tons of free (or usually free) booze, so there ya go. and there's tons more people to meet there. I just don't go on the dance floor. A lot of humping takes place there. I just hang out by the beer pong table and cheer on my jews (and my handful of non jews.) Holy shit guys some girl wanted to fight me the other day. I probably would have kicked her ass but I was laughing too hard to do so.

Other cool things about college: pot and making out, but not necessarily together. Cigarettes and making out is usually tastier.

Just make sure you're making out with someone that you're actually attracted to. There is someone I need to talk to. Shit

BUT I did make out with a hot 28 year old British guy on my first night here. Best part? He went back to England so I never have to see him and be cripplingly awkward.

Speaking of which, I went to France and England this summer! How rad is that? Way rad. The sites are awesome and the booze is too. European men are kind of jerks, though.

Girls, don't wear shorts in Europe. Wear pants. At the very least, a knee length skirt.

But yeah, that's right, I was in Paris and it fucking rocked. London rocked too. I keep chair farting. Anyway, London and Paris have two totally different yet totally cool vibes. Work it. I mean, who doesn't want to spend the day strolling through Paris and visiting Notre Dame and then go out to the bar and have British men buy you drinks because you're a fucking retarded and moderately attractive American girl? I know I do! And I'm really not being sarcastic. I love the bar scene. Fuck you, America.

Jesus I'm stream of conscious tonight.

Another way cool town in France? Albi. Def check it out. I left my heart in Albi

Fuck you I don't have anything else to write. Besides I have actual work to do.

This summer pretty much right before college I drove SEVEN FUCKING HOURS to Pittsburgh to visit Sarah Huth (Sarah Granger Snape, anyone) who I met when we were twelve through Harry Fucking Potter role playing. This was the first time we ever actually met in person and it was soooo much fun. Man do I love that girl. theslytherindorms may break up, but we always have each other. Best part? We saw Harry and the Potters, who were awesome as usual.

I've also decided that I'm not going to pursue art as a career, even though I could probably enjoy a fair amount of success in it. I just don't think I have the drive to do it every day for the rest of my life, you know? I realized this during my junior year when we were working on our two-point perspective drawings, where I would just sit and stare at my illustration board and play with my kneaded eraser almost the entire class period. When I go to college next year I'll major in Anthropology with a concentration in archaeology. I won't take any classes in art, just to make SURE that I don't want to do it anymore; if I find myself missing it a lot, then I'll consider transferring.

Other than all that, my high school art class is going fairly well. I'm learning a lot about what I can do well, and what I need to improve on. Currently we're doing our self portrait units, with one portrait that has to be as realistic as possible, and another that that we can do pretty much any odd way we want, each in whatever media we want as long as we can handle it. Our class is also entering the homeroom pumpkin decorating contest, with a Batman and Joker theme. It's pretty fucking sweet. Me and my friend Tom stayed after school for three and a half hours on Thursday finishing sculpting the Joker's face out of model magic. The other homerooms shall be thrashed.

Mostly I'm posting this to ask you guys if you have any ideas for what the design can look like. My boss wants it to say either "MWR" or "All Hands Pool" on it in the center, and have it have any of these themes:
1. Pool (duh)
2. Lifeguarding
3. Beach
4. The Navy
5. Uhh...water in general?

Mostly the thing that I'm worried about it making a good composition so that it's pleasing to the eye. What I'm thinking about doing is finding famous painting that centers around water, and base the design off of that and make it all...lifeguardy.

So, yeah...any ideas you guys will have would be great. Thanks!

I'm going into the sunscreen business. I've got an amazing business strategy that should have us controlling the market by 2015.

Alright, imagine this: sunscreen sold in a spray on form. I know, I know, it's already being marketed, the consumers'll just think we're copy-cats, yadda yadda, but it CAN and WILL work! With a good marketing and advertisement strategy, it'll sell. We'll develop a product that works wonders, prevents sunburn totally, you get the idea. If we get it on Oprah's Favorite Things, it'll be FLYING off the shelves!

Now, here's the brilliance behind this plan. Ya ready? Ya sure? Good.

We're gonna market it in aerosol cans. Yes, aerosol.

If this product sells as good as we're planning, the ozone layer'll be completely destroyed by 2012. By then, the consumers'll be getting burned left and right and, since our product'll be the best at preventing it, they'll be forced to buy it. We'll drive our competitors out of business in three years, and by 2015, we'll have completely monopolized the sunscreen market. Then, if all goes well, we'll move onto aloe vera.

I know, I know, the environment, the stock holders'll never go for it, yadda yadda...but c'mon, what the stock holders don't know can't hurt 'em.
