Truth of the matter is I have been doing some stuff lately, lots of writting, probably won't put it up because, you know, tons of asses and shitheads out to steal everything since they can't be bothered to actually do anything themselves. Some pictures, tons of doodles. Lineart takes, like, forever for me, 'cept in illustrator, which I'm pretty sure I accidentally deleted off my harddrive >.< So, yeah, pictures and stuff are slow, but there...ish.

However, I'm really feeling like shit right now, and am quite possibly one of the biggest assholes on the planet. And there are soooo many people that I really do owe things too, and I don't necessarily mean art things, really just some time and conversations. Maybe a kind word or two.
Actually, I probably owe much more then two, more like... two hundred.

So here's the deal. I'm alive, though I doubt anyone really remembers me at this point. Updates will be comming. Comments will be comming. However, I am clearing my inbox updates because really 163 deviations and 114 messages is just too much for me to deal with. I'll maybe have more interesting news within the week.

The purpose of this journal is to remind anyone who reads this about the EDGE project is about raising awareness of some of the most endangered species on the planet, in hopes that more people will know and help, so that something can be done to save them before they're gone.

It also here to inform you of another club. The club. Which is- well, it should explain itself I think. There's also a ton of interesting information there for anyone who has a pet, or often finds themselves in close contact with animals.


And also, this article was one of the headlines for MSN.com news:
"Nearly 200 animals and plants have been added to a global database of threatened species, the World Conservation Union announced Wednesday, adding that the number is certainly on the low end.

"From the lowland gorillas of Africa to corals of the Galapagos Islands, more than 16,300 species are threatened with extinction, the group said in releasing its annual Red List.

"The group noted that while extinctions are a part of nature, its findings show that humans are accelerating some extinctions. "Estimates vary greatly, but current extinction rates are at least 100-1,000 times higher than natural background rates," it said in a statement.

"In what is billed as the world’s most authoritative assessment of Earth’s plants and animals, the group considered 41,415 species and found that of those, 16,306 were under threat, said Craig Hilton-Tailor, the list’s manager.

"That is 188 more species than last year. Even so, Hilton-Tailor said, there are probably many more than that..."

The world fuggin' hates me. I don't know what the hell I did, and I don't know when the hell I did it. But somewhere along the line I must've done something, because my life, right now, is about to implode.

Oh yeah, I know, there are starving people in some other third world country, dying of disease and plauge, or something. But you know what? I don't care. I'm sorry, but I don't. Call me heartless, call me a bitch, call me whatever the hell you want.

Summer's going to be here in two weeks. That's great isn't? No school, no work, laze off for two months. Yeah, fantastic. But first I have to get there. I've still got about 40 assignments to hand in before I can really laze off. Most of them because I never got a chance to finish and hand them in ON TIME. One of them the very thing stopping me from taking my Bio regents.
Which reminds me. Finals. Great. Giant test that counts for half your grade to make sure you can remember 8 months back to something that you're never going to use in the real world.
Whatever, it's not stressing, it's just annoying.

Great. 11:30. Odds are I won't be done with this for at least another half hour, so that means I'll be getting to bed at 1. Joy of endless fucking joys, more sleep deprivation. Yeah, that'll help.

You know that studies have proven that almost all teenagers don't fall asleep until sometime after 10 or 11? It's got to do with some chemical that our bodies relase to trigger drowsiness or something. you also know that if you are a teenager, then you should be getting at least 10 hours of sleep?
So let's see. Assuming that you're in bed by 10, and asleep by 10:30, you should get 10 hours. Which means that you shouldn't even wake up before 8 o' clock. The time MOST SHOOLS START. Or you could get nine hours and be up by seven, RUSHING through your morning and SKIPING BREAKFAST. So you're technically not even AWAKE yet. OR you could get 8 hours of sleep, wake up at 6, eat breakfast and be tired for the entire day. Yeah, those options are just fucking brilliant, aren't they?
Well now consider this. MOST students are staying up until 1 or 2 in the morning. STUDYING so that they don't FAIL a course that they're taking. One which requires the brain capacity of a 16 year old, while they're only in 9TH GRADE. So now we're working on 6 hours of sleep a DAY. WITH rushed mornings, taking classes too difficult for us and running on 4 less hours of sleep then we NEED.
Yeah, that's fucking brilliant. Way to go school districts across the US.

This is now probably my all time favorite movie. (And I literally just finished watching it) It's a movie for children based off of an unintentionally popular series of books, but it's absolutley adorable. It's about a wolf and a goat who become friends completely by accident after meeting in a barn when they got caught up in a storm.
The actual name of the movie is 'Arashi no Yuri ni' which, I believe translates to 'One stormy night'. The movie's in japanese, but there are english subtitles. So, if you want to watch it, then you can go here:

It's about an hour and 15 minutes and this version's split up into nine parts.
Seriously, if you've got that extra hour and thirty minutes, then go watch it. It is amazing.
(It's probably even comparable to Pan's Labyrinth. And I've seen the movie. It was awesome. Though a bit... graphic.)

SO.
We came back from Boston at around 6:30. Overall, the trip was pretty interesting. WE went on a Duck Tour, which was, like, cool. It was a boat on top of an army tank thing, and it could go on land AND water. So we got to go around the harbor. (If you at all care then go here: [link] )
Um... after that we went to the Boston Museum of Science (Again, more info here: [link] ) That was pretty cool. But we only had, like an hour and a half to be there which kinda sucked. You need at least two hours in any sort of interactive science museum. OH! At one point, we were up in this human body/similarities to everything place, and at one point this one lady from the science museum came in and took out like, real sheep guts or something. And she started talking about them and people could touch them if they had a glove on. Yeah, it was pretty nasty.
Um... , , G-dawg(our other friend who's soon to be joining us here at dA) and I were rooming together, which in itself is pretty cool. 'Cept we got into a bunch of little spats and had some very... interesting conversations. We avoided killing each other entirley, which was good. Although our room did have a suicide window, which is pretty much just a window where if you jump out, you'd be killed by being impaled, or breaking your neck, or something.
Um... we did a bunch of other stuff too. Went to see Shear Madness, funny as hell improve play, if you're ever in Boston, go see it. It's awwesome.
Also, there was this group of actors that came to our hotel and did a version of the Salem Witch Trial. It was pretty cool.
I think that's pretty much it. I snapped a bunch of pictures, so I'll try and upload a few of them soon.
Oh yeah! We also decided that the world totally hates me. (It's true, honestly. And no, that doens't mean quite what you think. Not all people hate me, and Karma and I are on pretty good terms. But the world as a general whole hates me.) Why? For a hell of a lot of reasons. A big one would be that I LOST my iPOD. Actually, at this point, someone must've stole it, we sweeped the bus a bunch of times, and it didn't turn up. (Yeah, I lost it on the bus, like an hour into the drive UP to Boston. Which means I was WITHOUT ANY GOOD MUSIC for the ENTIRE TRIP. It sucked. And no one ever turned it in. So now I've got to go tell my parents what happened, and figure out a way to get a new iPod. Greeeaaaat. -___-


Oh, and I've recently been accepted into the so a bit of info about them, and then I get to spam like hell.
Basically a bunch of scientist figured out that a some of the most endangered animals in the world are also, quite literally, the last of their kind. The goal of this club is to give the animals publicity through art. With luck, someone who sees it will be able to help somehow.

So I'm watching Bear In The Big Blue House. Which is surprisingly more entertaining then a lot of the shows on TV. Go figure.

In other random news, I've decided to go for broke and try to write a book. Thus far I've got a plot, characters and a general idea of what the hell I'm doing. Still working on the ending though. I think it's around 4,500 words right now. Which is the equivelent of about 8 pages. Can't quite decide if that's a good thing or not. Either way, it's a start.
...I guess.
Alright, so, for lack of anything else to say, I'll just show you a bit of what I've been working on. (Keep in mind that thus far it's still pretty much a rough draft and nothing's been finalized right now. In fact, most of this stuff was written at around two in the morning. )

He was surprised to find a girl, no older then himself sitting atop the enormous fence that bordered the school. She wore a simple light blue t-shirt with beige corduroys. She was swinging her legs happily, apparently unfazed by how high up she was. Her gaze was cast to the maze of streets, looking out at a beauty that only she could see. And she was smiling, a far off look in her eyes.
“Who are you?” He asked.
“Me?” she answered, looking down at him, “Some call me a dreamer, some call me a demon. I’m something different in every place I go. It’s a matter of opinion, really. You can decide for yourself.” She said brightly.
“Well, then do you have a name?” He asked, her reply having provided no answer.
She jumped down from her perch, landing neatly in front of him.
“I’ve got as many names as I have reputations,” she smiled, “but you can call me Tamren.” She held out her hand in greeting. He took it with some hesitation.
“And who are you?”

Today is March 14th and, as nearly half the teachers in my school demonstrated, PI DAY!
No seriously they were wearing buttons and T-shirts that said 'got pi(the symbol not the word I just dunno how to get the symbol on the computer) and stuff. It was funny.

Oh! I'll get that quiz-based journal entry up soon. And I've got a St. Patrick's day pic in the works(just have to ink and scan)

So I haven't updted this since mid-February.
Whoo-frickin'-hoo.
Fine, you want an update? Here.

Everyone I know is either severely depressed, or on the verge of being severely depressed. Every single journal I've read is about how much the person's life sucks, or some random anime, or some great epiphony they've had, or some useless crap that no one really cares about.

School sucks.
Life sucks.
It's a fact.
Learn it. Live with it.
Get the hell over it.

I could rant for at least another hour. But I'll stop there. If you wanted to read a full-length sob-story about how much life sucks go read someone else's journal.

There's a reason my journal has stayed the same for nearly a month. It's so you wouldn't have to deal with another angsty, bitchy, depressing, idiotic 3-page long journal entry. (Based on MS word size)

You wanted an update, well there it is. One angst-filled 20-minute journal entry. If you're going to be an idiot about commenting then go somewhere else. I don't give a damn for idiocy right now.

The next update will be relativley soon and will consist of 3-5 quizzes. Possibly followed by a mini-rant.

Okay, sooooo taday's everyone's favorite over-commercialized holiday about going broke, skimpy clothing, cheesey cards, and,well... otherstuff. a.k.a. Single's Awareness Day(for which is holding a mini-contest. Go see!) a.k.a. Hallmark Day!
But guess what! Today is alsomeh little fluffers B-day! Happy birthday Harmy and Fiss! Yay!

We got a snowday today. Our first and probably last of the year. I finally caught up on some sleep. Got my radio to play my iPod. Got some new songs too. Unfortunatley, I had to go through this whole big process to get the songs to upload. So, long story short, I deleted all my old songs and now I only have the songs I bought. Which, kind of sucks, but whatever. New songs yay!

Um... okay, so I was going to upload a V-day pic. But then I couldn't think of anything. And it would've been in black and white too. Why?
1. Because I would've run out oftime to color. And
2. Because I lost my tablet pen!! *sob* I can't find it anywhere, which sucks because I do sort of need it to do artsy stuff on meh comp. Like artgrounds sketcher! ;-;

whoot! Update time fools!
Okay, so, it's been, like, 2 weeks since my last update. I'm so sorry! *sob* School's been a nightmare and I haven't had any time latley. But I will make a point of updating more often!

Alright, so.... On Friday our school's guidance counselor(sp? o.o') Mr. Kaz(The most AWESOMEST PERSON EVAR) left for a job in advertising. It was a higher paying job, so he sorta had to take it, but he was really dissapointed that he couldn't stay. ;-; But we threw a party for him and had pizza and cake and pudding and lossa other stuff and we took pictures and it was fun. And on Friday night are school had a V-day dance. Which I didn't go to because
1. I can't dance
2. I never have any fun at those things anyway
3. I had better things to do. Stabbing myself repeatedly in the arm with a spork, for example. -_-
But yeah. Um... , and our other friend G-dawg (a.k.a. Goldie Xp) went. They had fun. Apparently they play Numa Numa Yay at the dance. o.O Go figure, right?
But yeah, then there was an afterparty at my place, which the aforementioned peeps came to. We had fun. We ate Oreos, chips, and made general fools of ourselves. At one point Kzia was like, literally falling asleep every 2-5 minutes and then spontaneously waking up. Sooooo.... we hastily made an ice cream sundae for her(chocolate of course.) and made her eat it. Although, while we were making it we had to keep her awake, so Luna slapped her across the face with an Oreo.
It was fun. Then we watched Scrubs until we fell asleep.(Because I got you all hooked on it! HAHA!)
Ehm... Saturday was pretty boring, played WoW all day more or less. Um... For reasons beyond my comprehension I watched the dubbed version of Naruto. It still completley sucks. But I was laughing at the horribleness of it. Most of the times, sometimes it was just sad how terrible it was.
Today was much the same. 'Cept I didn't watch Naruto and I'm wtching the superbowl with my folks and neighbor. It's... interesting thus far.
Midterms are over with, yay! But I still have to go back to school tommorw. x-x
Um... oh, right. I set up my easel late Saturday night. (like, 2AM late.) Yeah, setting up an easel at 2 in the morning is a BAD IDEA. It was alot louder tehn I expected. Slightly larger too. So I had to put it away because it was blocking my escape path in case of Emergency and stuff. That was just as loud. >.<
Okay, so, yeah, Februrary. Great.
Valentine's day this month. That'll be an interesting one. I'm wondering what picture I should do for V-day. I might do a 'proper' V-day pic, little pink hearts and all (Blech >XP) Or I'll do an anti-V-day thing. Might just wind up doin' both though.
OMG! My Mom's B-day is on the 10th and I have NO IDEA what to get her. But it has to be REALLY nice/kind/thoughtful because I couldn't figure out what to get her for X-mas either. o.o'
