About 10pm the doorbell went and I shuffled to the hallway muttering "Who on earth is ringing the bell at this time of night ...." We have a decorative frosted panel and I could see a female form illuminated by the security light.

As I got closer, the thought crossed my mind that it looked a lot like my daughter Gwinny. But she lives 200 miles away and wasn't due for another week.... Then the figure lifted her head and I KNEW it was her :D :D

I couldn't open the door quick enough, and she hustled in out of the freezing cold towing her luggage, to the biggest hug and the happiest Mum on the planet :icondragonnod1:

So please one and all excuse me if I take ages to comment on your art or answer notes...... I am revelling in the fact that, instead of just the 5 days I had last year, I have 15 whole days to enjoy my precious girl :D

To top this off it's my son's birthday on Wednesday so it's going to be a touch busy this week :party:

If I don't get the chance between now and Christmas/Yule. Have a great one everyone :icondragonglomp:

This artist has never actually claimed to be an artist.... he colours the lineart of others. Now there are a lot of people who do that, but this one is largely unnoticed. He has very few watchers and of those even fewer comment, so much so he quit for quite a while.

I am delighted to say he is back and even better than before..... spending days squeezing out a few hours around his family commitments. Personally I think his work is great.... but then I might be just a little bit biased :icondragonlaugh:

The artist is :icondante424325: and I am proud to say he is my son (and daddy to my two gorgeous baby grandchildren) :D :icondragontail1:

I was going to ask my sweet daughter if she would do it for my birthday (tomorrow), but bless her she came down from London and treated me to so many wonderful gifts that I felt like a queen :D

So I will try hard to put a suitable journal up before it runs out so, hopefully, I won't have to change it for a while lol.... that way I can keep my gorgeous journal :iconfeanare: made for me :icondragonnod1: ........ I just hope you won't all get bored with no updates from me :icondragonlaugh:

Spring Cleaning


I decided it was time that my gallery had a good clean up !!!!

Due Credit


As a lot of you know I have two grown up children... and they are both here on dA. In fact it is thanks to them that I am on dA atall :boogie:

My daughter :iconpinkmonkeylove: is a very busy lady these days. She lives in London with her husband and they work very long hours, so Ishe doesn't get much opportunity to do her gorgeous fractals these days ... I hope she will soon. Although saying that she is now making jewellry :D She already has a DD for her wonderful White Angel Wings and so well deserved :hug:

The main reason for this journal is actually to give my son :icondante424325: a pat on the back though......

He has very few watchers and rarely gets comments or favs on his work.... and I thought I would introduce him to a few more people ;)

He isn't an artist in it's truest form, he is one of that quiet band of people who colour lineart, he also has a couple of really neat music videos on You Tube :D

He has just completed a really stunning picture and I really have to show all of you ....



He doesn't do much art at the moment as he and his wife have a beautiful 4 month old baby boy ..... so go show him some love my dear friends :iconspazhugplz:

New Arrival


At 1.47 GMT a little boy called Connor Palmer made his entrance into the world :D

Yes, a week overdue, but so happily anticipated our grandson has decided it's time to put in an appearance :w00t:

We don't know his weight etc. yet as there were a lot of babies who all thought lunchtime was time to be born lol :giggle:

Well I've gone and done it !!!!!!!!!


I've opened my own club for fantasy artists :D All forms of art are welcome, that includes written, so I hope I will be seeing some of my lovely friends there............

I have always felt that commenting on all those beautiful pictures wasn't enough, so I thought long and hard and decided the only way was to make a new club where I could post them for even more people to see :) I'm afraid I am not able to subscibe it yet so it will be basic for a while, but I hope you will find it worthy :please:
