Ramblings...

I'm unplugging from online stuff that's not work related until Dec. 22, 2009. You can still send me a note, leave a message on any of my deviations or, on my main page. I'll read it when I plug back into my site DA page. For now, I'm taking time for a few personal matters. Some of what I'm actually doing is getting some art done before the New Year. I've got to produce something. I haven't done much this year so, this gallery of mine must have some really cool art in it before Jan. 1 2010. For instance, the painting entitled 'Opulent Romance' needs to get done before the close of the year and so does several other paintings from my gallery. I've got some art for two or three other Deviants on my watchers list that I've contracted myself into doing art for. I hope to get everything done on time and efficiently. I'll upload everything no later than Dec. 22nd. I'm going out of town that day so everything has to be done by then.

In addition to all that I've got this Children's Book Contest [link] to create illustrations for. And, I've got this Bring Your Dreams To Life Contest [link] to create several more illustrations for. I hope to win both contests.

Hopefully, I'll hear from all of you. Until I get back take care and I love you all.

Ramblings...

"HAPPY THANKSGIVING!" Nov. 25, 2009

I'm not only saying this to all my American online friends but, this is for my international buddies as well. I'm thankful for all the things God has blessed with. And, I know there are good things coming my way in the future. Tomorrow, I think I'm having Thanksgiving dinner @ my aunt's house or, a cousin's house. I'll try not to eat too much. I know I like to eat so, I'll have to hold back some. Hehehe! If any of my American friends are gonna brave the treacherous shopping malls please, share with me the moment by moment accounts of what you experienced when you come back. I've been short on funds for a while and as a result haven't been able to save for the biggest shopping day of the year; 'Black Friday.' (That's the Friday immediately after Thanksgiving.) Although, I might go to Walmart just be in the crowds @ oh dark thirty Friday morning. Don't expect any uploads until after T-Day.

I don't have TV service anymore. Before America opted for a completely digital television experience you could watch TV for free with a pair of rabbit ears. (A couple of antennae attached to an analog television set.) I know I'm probably not gonna get an answer to this query before it's too late but, here goes. Does anyone of my American watchers know if The Macy's Parade can be viewed online or not? If you know please leave a comment here so I can see it. Last year, I woke up just in time to see Vanessa L. Williams sing the closing song of the parade. And, I'd like to see the whole parade this year. It's about 13 minutes into it right now as I'm typing this. I appreciate any help anyone will give me. Thank you.

Ramblings...

As the title suggests I'll be updating the 'Opulent Romance' painting tomorrow. I'll contact the photographer and model to inform them that I've not forgotten about them and that the next stage in this painting's progress is finished. This doesn't mean I'll upload it tomorrow. I'm gonna work on it tomorrow.

You know? Whoever created this must have done so with helping his/her friends get more page views in mind. I didn't place any of those thumbnail links there. And, I don't know how to take them off. I'll check them all out as time permits.

I've been away from DA for a while now. I'm back and I'd like to post some of my Colors! DS paintings I've been working on recently. Also, the painting entitled "For now it's UNTITLED" should be completely done by the end of this month.

Pretty soon I've got look for work as an illustrator and flash animator. Unfortunately, I've not found much in the way of flash animation careers in the area of the country I'm living in currently. Of course, it's animation hub for North America. But, for flash animation I've had a hard time finding work locally creating flash animation. In the near future, I may upload some 2D animation to Deviantart. If I do I may start another page especially for flash animation and character design as it relates to flash.

I wonder if anyone ever reads my journal entries.

I've been signing into DA off and on during the last few months not really posting any real art or even posting a whole lot of journals. I might be moving soon. If so, I might not have internet access for a while. So, I'll post as often as I can. To all my peeps out there I miss all of you; even the non writing ones. That means all of ya. lol. Seriously, I hope all you had a great holiday season. I did. The things I could tell about over eating. Maybe later when there's more time elaborate. Right now, I might go on an ice cream run. Ciao.

Hello All

I'm baaack! For the past three days I've been trying to get back online since returning from my vacation. I went out of town for Thanksgiving. Yeah, I had a great time eating too much and seeing relatives I haven't seen in years. Also, I'm looking for a new job. I'll post some art for fun on this site and professional stuff on my other DA account. Over the past two years I've gained some unwanted weight so, beginning next year I'll start to get rid of it. Why starting next year? Well, we Americans tend to gain weight during this time of the year more than any other. We've got two major holidays; Thanksgiving and Christmas. And, they're back to back. I plan to have a pretty tastey and hearty meal on the 25th of this month. That's part of the reason why I need to lose weight. All in all, I will post something soon. Ciao.

This image of Godzilla was originally to be painted in Colors! DS. I may still do it. Does anyone else find this picture funny? I've drawn a picture of Godzilla smoking a cigar and wearing a towel. Godzilla doesn't smoke or bath. Soon, I may upload the color version. In any event this is only a place holder until I finish some really cool art to place there.

Recently, I rediscovered a website that has links to some notes on visual composition. Now, I'm learning some things I should have learned in animation school but, didn't. The next image I post will have the principles I'm learning from the materials I've downloaded. If you need some help with your digital painting buy his videos from "I Draw Girls.com." [link] And, I've got an account with Lynda.com. This is a software instructional site where you can view online tutorials authored by very knowlegeable instructors who teach you as if you don't know anything at all about the software. So if you want to learn a particular creative suite go for it. Check out Lynda @ [link] If you don't want to commit to an expensive long term commentment you can spend $25.00 US for a month of their online video services. Or, you can buy DVDs from them. I'm studying to show myself approved. Hopefully, this will help any of you out there who don't know exactly where to start but, have a strong desire to do so.

Presently, I'm working on some art for two of my best friends. If they allow me to upload the art after their book is published I may post the illustrations here. Although, I could post the sketches they rejected I will not because I may use those character designs later in something I'd like to use someday for some of my own projects. After that's done I've got some more stuff to study and develop. Then when those projects are done I'll upload some art. I really should get those Nintendo DS Lite paintings done to upload them here. In any case, I'll upload something nice for your viewing pleasure.

Exotique 4's Call for Entries

Recently, I had planned to participate in Exotique 4's Call for Entries this time around but, could not because I don't have FTP space yet. Sending the large zipped files from an FTP was one of the requirements. I'll get it when I register my domain name and buy webspace. The deadline was August 4th. Oh well, there will be another one soon. I'm sure of it. I apologize for being so absent of late. I work four days a week and I'm off three. And, I sleep a lot. So, on the weekends I'll try to upload some new art. I've got a couple of things to finish for a few friends of mine.

A few months ago, I've started watching a teen show called Degrassi: The Next Generation. (For those of you out there who are impressionable please understand this is a fictional show and it's intent is to entertain and educate. It's not meant for you to copy what you see and hear.) I'm not gonna ruin it for anyone who's interested in watching. It's a nice teen drama that I believe was written by writers who were heavily influenced by eighties movies and music. Hence some of the names of titles of the show. That's right, baby! I'm into J-pop and don't you forget it. I like a little bit of K-pop as well. My girl BoA sings and dances like she's really into Soul and R&B. So does my other girl Hikaru Utada "Hiki for short." Of course, she's Japanese-American. She has a track on the Rush Hour 2 CD.

I've uploaded two desktop backgrounds one is of a leaf growing from the plant that was growing in the front yard of the home I lived in for some time. Unfortunately, I don't live there anymore. Anyway, I took this after it rained or after I watered the lawn. I'm not sure which.

The second was created while I was in college. I knew very little about Adobe Photoshop. And, I started on version 6. This image is a very peaceful image to me. It's very symbolic. The face represents mankind and the flare of light represents Jesus as Savior of the world. While reading the book of proverbs, more specifically from the monologue of king Lemuel's mother telling him what kind of woman to marry. Proverbs 31:10-31. This is the kind of woman I want to marry. This is the kind of woman I want to date. I should have looked for that in the most recent woman I had dated. I would not have gone through the heartache I went through. I need to get back to the BG.

At first, I didn't think to post this because people might get offended. And, then I thought... "Why not?" Everybody else is posting things they're into why me? What I say to anyone who doesn't like my art is it's your choice to see my work or not.

I'm Inking MY Recent Deviations

Today, I started inking the images of the three anime girls I posted recently. I'm using Flash 8 Pro so, they will be exported as a .swf file or maybe .png files. I'm not sure which. Last week I found some Flash tutorials and a link to a really cool illustration tutorial on Youtube. Here's the link: Drawing Orc in Flash. Today, I was looking for something and came across some of my old artwork. It looks pretty good. Of course I see some mistakes in these drawings. If I didn't that would be a problem. I think I'll pick three or four of them to post. Later, I may upload the color versions of them. (After I color them in Photoshop.) I should have them posted by tomorrow afternoon.

A Relationship: What To Do Now? (2)

The girl I was interested in I believe has Bipolar Disorder. It's a condition that affects the brain. She's shown signs of having this condition for sometime now. I didn't know what to look for until I saw a commercial for a medication called Abilify. And, in this commercial it described some of the symptoms of Bipolar Disorder. If only I had known earlier. If she had told me about it I could have researched it and prepared myself. I'll do a lot of research and post my findings here. Right now, it's kinda late and I need to rest. I'll post more soon.

Maybe, I can help someone else whose going through this or knows someone who's going through it by writing about this condition.

A Relationship: What To Do Now?

I'm just getting over losing a friendship that I should have ended a long time ago but, I was too caught up in my feelings for her to do so. Well, it's over now and I'll meet someone else. It'll happen eventually. Oh well. Soon, I'll start my business and get somethings done that should have gotten finished a long time ago. I'll not bore anyone with the details but, she and I were not compatible. We are pretty opposite in the ways we live our lives, how we think, and even how we react to different things. I'm still attracted to her. Especially her lips. Their cute and sexy. When she did her lips a certain way they would look just like Katie Holms's lips. Yeah, I got a thing for Katie. Tom Cruise better look out. lol. From here on out I'll only date women who share my same beliefs. She's doesn't have to be from the same background or ethnicity as me. So, if there are any good looking women out there between the ages of 26 and 38 who's never been married and have no children. Hollla back! lol.

Seriously, I may take my friend's advice and get on an internet dating site to meet someone. There's a lot of good looking women out there who would like to meet someone like me whose interested in marriage, family, and children. I also know there are women who don't want Mr. Right, just Mr. Right Now. My friend also told me maybe I shouldn't look for Ms. Right but, maybe for Ms. Right Now. I don't know. Maybe, I should go out and meet someone just to go out with someone. Only thing is I'm not into a lot of the things most men my age are into. Being a Born-Again Christian I'm NOT into pre-marital sex. So, if I date a woman who is not saved she's more than likely not gonna want to stay with me for long. ~Eric

I'm Working On A Speed Painting

I've started a speed painting of Monica Bellucci. She's an Italian actress. You may have seen her in the two Matrix sequels. Or maybe in an Italian movie called Malena. Also, you may have seen her in "The Passion of the Christ." Well, I'm gonna get back to work, now.
Well, I'm back. The speed painting I'm working on is turning into an actual painting. I should be done with it by today if I can get up early enough this morning. The dimensions are 8.5 x 11 in. @300 dpi. After I post it give me some constructive criticism.

I'm currently surfing on another artist community site and won't be finishing the Monica Bellucci painting before 4am this morning. I will have it up soon. Ciao.

I changed some info in the profile I have in another artist community and thought I couldn't get back into my account. So, I checked my e-mail address that I changed to and viola... there it was. The link to get back into my account in that artist community. Between job hunting, working and personal stuff I work on this painting of Monica Bellucci. This morning I started back on my painting. Still don't know when it will be done but, the plan is to finish it this week. My intention is to crank out a painting or two a week. I want to start selling prints soon. Check out my gallery for the beginning of a painting of Pink. I'm still working on that one. I'll upload that as soon as I get it done. Also, sometime ago I found some photos of her and I might create some paintings from them but, I'll change the poses somewhat so as to not get in trouble with copyright laws. Last month I found a website called Freelanceswitch.com. Technically, I didn't find it, I was reading one of my favorite websites named: [link] This artist is a God-send to me. (She's got tutorials and gives some really good advice on digital & non-digital art. She also has a tutorial about how to make your own sketch book. Give her a holler and tell her Eric sentcha.) I found her on another artist community site similar to this one. Anyway, I've been looking at freelanceswitch.com and I'm seriously considering going freelance this month. I need to learn about the legal side of it all. Also, the handling of the day to day customer service to my clients. So, I'll be making a trip to Border's Books and the Library to learn about that stuff. BTW, the Monica Bellucci painting is nearly done. I'll upload it soon. After this painting I've got some prints to work on and a painting using the photo-ref of a fellow Deviant. Also, I'm gonna start my flash animation which has to be done before Thanksgiving. I plan on going back to East Coast to see family and friends and "WOW" them with it. I've got my work cut out for me. Considering I haven't even started on the character designs, yet. (Although, I do have an idea of what I want them to look like.)

I'm trying to stay up to watch something I missed on TV last night. Hopefully, it's a re-airing of the same episode. If not I may go to bed and sleep. Well, I haven't had a whole lot of time to paint this week and it doesn't seem like I'll have time until this Friday to continue the painting for my friend and work on the image of Pink. Also, I thank everyone who stopped by and viewed my work. I had hoped for some feed back but, I guess if it's not a finished piece no one really is gonna give c&c on it. I wonder if anybody downloaded either of them. I was hoping to get some feedback on my work. ~osz7 Pronounced Oz as in "The Wonderful World of..." Yeah yeah, I know it's cheesy. But, it's what I picked.
