Hi there

Life has been so busy lately - work, work , work. Well Friday I am on holidays. Time to kick back and take photographs.


I recent competed in the THE AL-THANI AWARD FOR PHOTOGRAPHY 2007 judged in November. i was lucky enough to receive 44 acceptances. Very happy. Thank you to all my models, makeup artists and friends that have made this poissible.

I am now preparing to enter the TRIERENBERG SUPER CIRCUIT [link] the largest photocomp in the world.

I am calling for models to work with me between Christmas and New Year. We can shoot in the studio or outdoors, the main idea is to explore and expand your ideas and mine, with the best shots making up my entry in this competition.

I recently entered the Austrian Super Circuit [link] (the largest photo comp in the world)

Over the last 4 years I have won 5 gold medals and a bronze.
The organisers put together a pack of images for publishers to use and my image was selected for the front cover of Fofo Objektiv in Austria [link]

It was with shock I heard of the death of Peter Brock - champion driver and all round great bloke.

I knew Peter through our involvement in the 1995 and 1998 Round Australia's and The Australian Safari Rally. Most days on the rally we would chat before competition.

This was shot in my garage studio the other day with a friend of a friend who had never modelled before, Lucy.

She did a wonderful job and it didn't feel like work at all. Please make Lucy feel welcome in our little community here!

Overwelming!!!

I just want to thank Scott for picking my work for a Daily Deviation.

I want to pay tribute to the model Cheetah. We have done a lot of photography together, I have dragged her 1000's of kilometres throught the Australian bush. Flies, moskitos, ants, heat and still she models for me.

Well here goes:-

1) I was born in Sydney, Australia and died some time later.

2) I am a big softy really, despite my what you think.

3) DA is a special place. I have met many people here and a few special ones.

4) I love photography. I love photographing models, sport, landscapes, models

5) I was an accredited photographer for the 2000 paralympics. Loved it.

6) I own a 4WD and have driven it over a lot of Australia

7) I am heavily involved in off road rallies. I have been a control official in 2 Round Australia Rallies, and Australian Safari Rallies since 1988.

8) I shoot with a digital camera, a Canon 10D, which I love. I have shot 140,000 images on it in the last 18 months. (Is this guy mad?? )

9) I work as a computer programmer and photography keeps me sane

10) I only have a few close friends. They are very dear to me. True friends are the ones around you when things are not going well, when you feel bad, when you are angry. I would do anything for my friends. You will only find true frindship if you give yourself.

11) I love the outback, Alice Springs, Coober Pedy, Mungo, Broken Hill, Kurnell and Stockton Beach

12) I compete in national and international photographic competitions. I have over 250 acceptances at international level. I hope one day to win one of these. LOL.

13) I will be staging my first exhibition in a cafe in Newtown real soon now.

14) I am studying website design at TAFE.

15) I want to take my photographer further, it is my passion.

16) I photograph models, basketball, fires, athletics, landscapes, models. I
am fascinated by the interaction of light on the human body.

17) I would like to thank everyone who has modeled for me. Without you I am nothing. It is your hard work and patients that has helped me improve and refine my photography.

18) My dream would be to roam the outback photographing Australia's landscapes and the models that pose in it .


19) I love to laugh and have fun doing ordinary things with my friends.

20) I don't judge people, everyone I meet is equal, and I take them on their face value. This is the way I like to be treated too.

I have been looking at things lately and wondering if I really have made any sort of contribution to this community.

I certainly feel I have spent a lot of time here. I feel I have uploaded a fair body of my work. I hope it has been improving over time.
I have one DD to my name. I guess that is more than most people have. I feel models should be recognised for there contribution as well.

I have met lots of wonderful people here on DA. Different one and all. Interesting in all sorts of ways.

I want to take this opertunity to thank my wonderful models, for helping me create my art. Without them I am nothing.

I also want to thank the many people that comment on my work. Thanks for taking the time and effort to tell me what you think.

If you think I should continue with this endevour please leave me a comment. I would also want to know which style of my work you like and what you would like to see more of.

Hi everybody

Had a wonderful shoot with Niyama on the weekend. Also thanks to Ms Kittie for great makeup.

I am astounded at the beauty of Niyama, her poise, the emotion that has come out of this work.

I ask you to go look at her work as well, she is very talented.

I wish there was a DD for models. Surely the content is as important as the capture???
