Dear PFF2 readers, do not mistake this for any ordinary journal, or a goodbye journal, or a pancake.

This dear readers (besides “hey look new page!” ) is in fact a “change in format” journal. What? Yes.

Here’s the situation. Because my rabid art schooling has slowed production on the comic down so tremendously that snails are passing us, and people are beginning to threaten me with explosives if I don’t reveal what happened to Bee, and at the rate we’re going now, it’ll be three years before you guys ever even find out… the team and I have indeed found ANOTHER WAY in which to tell the story at a much more tolerable pace.

The answer we’ve come to is the almighty “fic.” In the same way that pages 35 and 69 were in written form (by Sylva), and in the way that I’ve illustrated Tei’s WWF chapters and “Reaction” short stories, PFF2 will likewise continue as an illustrated book. The chapters will be divided into bite-sized "scenes", and each scene will have one piece of art to go with it. Granted, you’ll be losing the easier-to-read comic format, but you’ll FINALLY get to find out what in the world happens next!

=sylvacoer, *teisama and myself will be writing these scenes, and ~DoodleBuggy and I will provide yall with delicious arts. (Covers are MUCH quicker to put out than comic pages.) Do not fret though, for I shall still draw some comic pages from time to time (for there are some scenes that are SO EPIC they MUST be drawn) but it will always be a surprise when they appear! (And as not to confuse yall [or ourselves] we shall keep the page-count the same, whether it's a comic page or a written scene.) Also, as we get a good system going, we may even get to where we’re posting on a schedule! Imagine that!

SO! Along with a fresh comic page we have the first written scene in this new format! Give your praise and crits to Sylva and Tei for this scene for they both had a hand in making it awesome.

But really let us know what you think of this change too. I hate that I can’t keep up the comic page output like I used to, but I dislike even more that you guys are waiting so long for answers. It’d be different if I wasn’t in the final uber-semesters of art school, so for now, this is how it’ll have to be.

Today was the last day of the summer 1 semester and I am SO HAPPEH.
There has been no time for pleasure drawing all week, just projects and papers, but it feels so good to have made it through. Now all I'm taking for the rest of the summer is yoga! ^_^ Whee!

An update! Huzzah! New pages coming right up!

It’s not as substantial as I had originally intended, but it’s been a kooky couple of weeks ^_^’ So only 4 pages for now, but I’m just happy to be delving into the third chapter! Thanks as always to Sylva for cleaning up the pages and adding text! (She’s been having fun with fonts if you can’t tell.) Sylva also scripted Longshot's letters so major kudos there! And thanks to DoodleBuggy for designing the extras on the ship, especially Jet’s new “friend."

Also, I mentioned in the last journal that a new character will be appearing. Well, he won’t be just yet (he’s on the very next page!) so Tei has agreed to go ahead and introduce him in interview form (since he is his baby) just to give you some background info. Be sure to keep your eyes on this new character too, he’s going to have a lot to do with Jet’s mental health XD

It’s update time! Three new pages coming right up!

Also, finals are starting up for me so the next update may be a little slow getting here… but it may also be the last update of this chapter! So do be patient!

But so you’re not too bored…

CAPTION CONTEST! (it’s all about the lulz)

~Rules. It’s quite simple really. I’ll provide a link to a random panel from PFF2 with the word bubble emptied out. All you do is reply to the journal with what else you think the character in the panel could be saying. You can submit up to 3 caption ideas…and if present, please [censored] any foul language. XD
You’ll have 2 weeks for each contest (since any longer would be silly). At the end of the two weeks I’ll…

~Judging. What I’ll do is fix me a glass of tea and drink it as I’m reading your submissions. Whichever one makes me laugh till I spew on the screen wins! (And there will be only one winner per contest since I plan on having several of these in the future.)

~Prizes. The winner gets a free sketch by me! And maybe for future caption contests, the other PFF2 team members could contribute prizes as well, just to mix it up!
(And sorry guys, but the PFF2 team members must remain silent for this! When the contest is over you may tell us your caption idea if no one else has said it already. I already have some ideas myself haha.)

In celebration of me surviving this half of the semester, finishing all my projects and being set free for spring break...

So the hiatus is officially over for now, and I'm going home to visit my family and draw draw draw.

In other news, I've been approached about having a fanclub for PFF2 run by *ElvenAngelFlyingStar and I wanted to know what all the watchers' thoughts were on that.

I hope yall will be happy to know that I lied to you again!
Grant it I don't have new PAGES (tho I sketched out the next few on me vacation)but I'm about to upload 6 new pics I did...as a sort of farewell to ATLA and the original Freedom Fighters!

Well, I haven't drawn her as she would look 10 years ago yet(ATLA timeframe)but I'll definitely have to eventually (due to flashbacks that will be coming up in PFF2...and heaven knows I love my flashbacks!)
Oh, and here's the kicker...all six of them were completed within 48 hours! XD See, I missed my drawing table so much that as soon as I got home I practically assaulted it, and these pics were the result! We made babies haha!

Well folks I gots some good news...and some bad.

Basically, UBER-HIATUS is pretty much starting now.

But here's the thing...I'm too much in love with these characters and the story that the team and I have given them to just drop this thing completely.
There is a LOT of work ahead of me, but I really want to see this thing through to the EPIC END we planned
It may take a while, and the Avatar show may be at it's end...
but the fandom isn't going anywhere for a long time I think.
For one thing, movies. Hullo? Bigscreen liveaction movies yus? Not to mention the other comics out there that aren't finished either! (You just watch, Zhao of the Watertribe is going to be our salvation from AWS long after the show's over!)
So as long as you fans (and the team ^^' ) still want to see what happens to Jet and the Freedom Fighters, then I'll keep the pages coming as long as I can. Just be patient >_<

Well, all I can really say is there's a fairly large update coming up most likely within the next week. Sorry for the delay. Life. You know. Haha.
But looking a little further ahead now...
I'm gonna aim at finishing the first chapter by the end of the summer (cuz if you aim at nothing, you'll hit it!) but if not, that ok. That's the beauty of fancomics haha, no deadline!
But once August 21st rolls around, I will definitely be on a hiatus for at least a month, hopefully less. I'll be getting used to a new lifestyle at 'big college' BUT I'll have a scanner and internet access so I shall do my best to continue!
But as of right now, I'm sure you're all distracted as I am about the new episodes of ATLA coming up, and the finale! I gets all tingly just thinkin about it!
And whatever the outcome (except they better bring Jet back or I'll be irritable) it's been the most awesome show, and probably the most I've ever geeked out over. Tankchoo Bryke!

First fresh update!
Only 2 new pages, but some new extra little goodies can be found in the scrap gallery! One of these type of goodies is the sketch version of some of the pages. (some pages looked more interesting in sketch version than others) and I've made links to these sketches on the actual pages around the bottom somewhere.
Also, you know all the extra FF's you see on page 5? The original sketches by DoodleBuggy for these extras are up as well!
The next time I update will consist of a lot more pages though. Thanks for your patience!

Whew.
I posted the first half this morning, went to church, and now i'm back to post the rest! I just couldn't wait!
PFF2 has been under construction since before Christmas 2007! O_O
The team and I have been scribbling and sweating, idea sketching and script re-working, and now, on June 1st, it’s begun…no turning back.
All I can say is enjoy!
I hope it’s as entertaining as anticipated and that the pages will keep coming!
Thanks again so much to the team, whom without, this comic simply would not be, and to all you people who have been waiting ever so patiently.

Hey folks.
Today is the day!
But due to all manner of factors, be it sibling's birthdays, comuter failure, or living in separate timezones, the team and I are just a wee bit behind! Oh Noes! (Seriously, by just 2 pages!)
There's a good chance the first several pages may be ready by later this afternoon, but if we have to wait one more day, please don't kill us >_<
(and depending on what time-zone you're in, my today might already be your tomorrow anyway...and what is today but yesterday's tomorrow? haha @_@ )
It's taken some getting used to, working as a team like this, but it's been so fun, and I'm real excited to show off what we accomplished ^_^
just...not...quite...yet. >_<

Alrighty people.
It's been awful quiet around here (not to mention rancid due to AWS) but now that the NYCC has revealed the awesomeness and air-dates of the new episodes, life has once again been breathed into the ATLA fandom! Huzzah!
BanishedPrince has the most impressive collection of info on this event in her journal--->[link] and I'm pleased to say that P.F.F. was featured in the fan-comics portion of the fan-pannel!
(DoodleBuggy's 'Jet-Lagged' was featured too! Yay Doodal!)
It's so awesome to know that, although I was unable to attend, PFF was there anyway, and I'm really shocked by how well-received it was! Thanks so much to all the readers!

As for P.F.F.2...
The reason for lack of updates around here is not due to lack of work, but because page-production is underway! (I can't post anything new without giving away spoilers!) I'm still shooting for posting sparkly-fresh pages by the end of May. Since I'm in my very last week of school, that shouldn't be a problem. Some of the team is also knee-deep in school right now as well, and I want to thank them for putting up with my rain of e-mails as of late ^_^'

To all of my watchers, I'm sorry for the wait, and thanks so much for supporting our little project!

Plight of the Freedom Fighters is a fan comic I wrote and illustrated based off of Nick's Avatar the Last Airbender series. It tells what (may have happened to Jet, Smellerbee, and Longshot after they were last seen in Lake Laogai.

After much thought and death threats from the readers, I decided to continue with a sequel.
But, rather than picking up where an episode left off, the new story will be set 10 years after Aang defeats the Fire Lord and order is returned to the world. The Freedom Fighters have reformed into a working army, and have built the Hideout into a fortress/city in the trees. What happens there is yet to be revealed!
I'm hoping the second installment will be much more enjoyable and entertaining for you than the first.
A lot of the readers' input helped develop the sequel's concept as well, and it's the support of the fans that kept the first one alive.

Aiding me on my plight are three of my dearest friends here on dA:
- Assistant designer.
- Assistant writer.
- Editor.
Bow to them!!!

NOW. Don't expect to see the first pages of PFF2 until after the end of ATLA Season 3. My team and I have much left to do!
Much of the pre-production sketches will be posted as we come up with them, but not enough to give away the many surprises in store for you!
