So yeah, he gets the goodie basket for his story! Same as usual...subscription for a few months, pictures...um avatar...I think we have the official list posted up somewhere. ANYWAY! Congrats, mon!

Well as an update as to what your two beautiful mods are doing these days. We're now both on the university scene and I'm sure I speak for both of us when I say that the work load is only going to get worse from here on out. This sucks, of course, but I'm trying not to neglect you all either, so how about this: I'm going to start a really...REALLY easy sort of contest. Doesn't even have to be a contest, could just be sort of a showcase. Depends on what you all feel like doing. And I will give an insanely long time in which to complete the pictures. That way no one is under the heat to get it done, so we can sort of flex our drawing muscles here and have fun with it. OK!

The theme will be...*drumroll please*.....*Thank you, Touch*....MUSIC! Yeah, it's been brought up before and it seems pretty easy. If you'd like some ideas to go off of, here are a few:

1. Lyric pieces that describe a character

2. A character playing an instrument or singing or dj-ing...whatever

3. A few characters in a band/giving a concert/at a concert/getting landed on by a huge Scottish punkrocker

4. A character listening to music

Pretty wide open here. Just have fun and see if you can include another member's character too! Collabs are fine! We're shooting for a really high percentage of participation! Ok? OK! Thou'rt dismissed to thy craft!

OK! It has been decided. The next contest shall be a writing contest! The goal is to right a story of your character meeting another PP member's character. It is to your decision who you pick. I assume sprite's character is an option as well as my own, Id or any of my newer ones (Anton, Yuuji, Bara-chan, etc).

Ask the character's owner for any details that you may need to know and for permission to yse their characters.

PLEASE do not make this a huge, ten page story. Three pages max or the equivalent to. I'm too lazy to do the wordcount on three pages.

Any stories that are premade before this date will be disqualified. We want something fresh and new! The due date will be by the first of September.

Prizes are as they usually are:

1) A DA Subscription
2) A print off of your wishlist (to the equivalent of $20)
3) A picture done by =sprite-ariel or =lychee-twist
4) An animated avatar by lychee

And you know what that means. Yup! Time for sprite to throw caution to the wind and go on great guns into the fourth bi-semi-occasionally-monthly contest! HOORAAAAY!

Ok, this is how it's happening, peeps. Since I got no nay-saying on the subject of my last half assed idea, I figure I'm good to go in saying that we'll be starting the member-run competitions presently. SO. If you have an idea, send it in a note entitled "contest idea"...or...like.."my idea" or...pretty much anything because who really cares that much about note subjects. I don't. just send in your ideas with whatever you want to offer as a prize tacked along with it. If you would really rather not do the prizes on your own, that's fine too, just let us know and we'll offer the same choices as usual.

Please just send in one note to us and be prepared to pick one idea once it's your turn, so I can make sure I get through all the entries before I start repeating people. I'll note you as soon as your name comes up and at that point, you have the great honor of writing the journal entry that introduces your contest. doesn't THAT sound like fun!? I can't imagine something more mind-blowingly awesome.

Alright, as for the next contest, I had something different in mind and I wanted to run it by everyone! Lychee is going to be away for a while AND is working this summer and I am dividing my time between being a lazy bum and working on my comic. SO I thought that maybe I could cycle through the list of members and each member could choose to run a competition. It can be a competition where everyone draws your character, but it's not limited to that, you can come up with themes and whatnot..just be creative. First come first serve once I give the go ahead. As fair warning, when you run a competition, you'd be the one supplying the prize drawings or whatever you want to give out as prizes. basically all the club will do is post up the entries for you and host the poll.

Mood: Let's live it up

Yes! That's right. Another contest. This time brought to you by me! The lovable airhead, Lychee-twist (aka L-T). Since there's been a lapse between activity with the club, sprite agreed that we need to go back to the basic idea for the club.

Just to tell you the basic idea was that people would draw other people's characters.

WHICH IS THE NEW CONTEST!!! Except! (And sprite's probably going to edit this to make it a little less perky Lol!) There's one catch!

You: Tell us, Lyhee! Tell us! Tell us!

Hohoho, gather 'round kiddos, cuz here we go! (This is the hair-brained part) All of those who want to enter will have their name put into a hat (including sprite and mine). When the time is up for those who want to enter, a name will be drawn for another member, and that member has to draw the character of their name.

Make sense? Of course not! So let's bring it out in example terms! Using me and sprite!

Me: Hello, sprite!

Sprite: Uh, hi. (course she's not here, lychee's doing a bit of roleplay)

Me: All the names are in a hat! Care to draw one for me?

Sprite: *shrugs* Whatever *picks out a name, reads it* Sprite.

Me: *snatches slip with her name on it* Wooow! This means I get to draw Touchstone for her as my contest entry.

Sprite: *looks in hat* Wait... all these slips have my name on it!

Me: Hohoho! Let's not bother with the formalities! I think they get the drift.

Sprite: Wtf? *shuffles through hat some more* You rigged the entire hat!

Me: Did not! This was an example! On to the rules!

1) You may not request a name!

2) Sprite and I will be drawing another person's character, and it will not be each others, just to tell you.

3) You can not draw your own character. If you are drawn your own name, you will get another draw.
