I'm getting my computer back hopefully on the 15th.. YAY!! I can't wait, I've been going crazy on this crappy computer. It doesn't have photoshop so I'm unable to do any art work. I can't wait.

We are a bit behind on rent because of everything that's been going on here, and she keeps phoning -during the middle of the day when people are at work expecting us to be home then gets mad when we aren't. Oh, or she says that we haven't talked to her in like 3 weeks when we talked to her the day before. She also comes in and tells me she doesn't like the way the furniture is arranged.. Oo? Gah! she pisses me off lol.

Anyway we still haven't found a place, though we have a couple to look at next week. *crosses fingers*

So as a present for being oh so brave about my surgery- yes I'm milking that up for all it's worth LOL- I've decided I want a new cell phone.

I went to the optomologist today to see how my eye is healing and he said "all is perfect". Yay!! Now to wait for the next surgery, which will most likely be next month or even after that.

I have been having a hard time seeing writing and small details so we were starting to wonder if maybe this was because I have just had my eye fixed or if maybe I needed reading glasses. So yeah, I need glasses :/. I think I look terrible in glasses, unless they are the big celeb-type sunglasses. Sigh, oh well. At least I can read and look at the computer without using a magnifying glass lol :S Because I can only see out of one eye at the moment, going and getting prescription glasses makes no sense right now so we went to London Drugs and got a pair of $15 reading glasses. Can't wait to read all the books I got from the library (like 10 lol).

Last night I decided I wanted to change the look of my journal. I looked around here on DA and found a few CSS layout things that I liked but couldn't for the life of me figure out where to put it. Then I find out I can't because I don't subscribe. WTH is up with that? I find it lame that I can't change the CSS of my journal because I don't subscribe. What does subscribing have to do with what I want my journal to look like? I don't think you should have to subscribe to change the layout of your journal, and add polls. BAh

I really hope David Cook wins. He has an awesome voice and I love how he changes every song to sound different than the original, in a good way. I can picture him in concert, selling records, and hearing him on the radio.
I can't picture David Archuletta doing any of those things. To me he sounds like a wedding singer or someone doing karaoke. He doesn't seem connected or have any real emotions while singing. I don't know why, but he just annoys me lol. He'll probably win tomorrow though, because AI is a big popularity contest. All the little teeny boppers will vote for him because he's dreamy. Bleck.
I wish the judging system was different. I think that the viewer should be able to vote for the bottom two or three - whichever it is - and then the judges, who know about talent, sent someone packing. But it isn't like that. oh well. :/

Most of the time it isn't just one cop using the taser, it's four or more all using them... and they wonder why people have died or get seriously hurt. If 120 volts can seriously hurt someone then obviously 1,500 volts can. why is there even an inquiry going on?
Doctors use difibrilators which use electricity, to kick start the heart. Now imagine someone who's heart is not only beating but beating fast because they are upset or stressed. What do they think is going to happen when the persons heart is hit with the electricity from a taser?Sure you could say that tasers are safer than guns, but are they? I mean the police use them much more freely than they use their guns and they have to go through alot of training and such with guns, do they go through that for the taser?

I dont know, maybe I'm wrong, but it just seems silly to me to allow people that hold so much power in our society to use a potentioally harmful weapon at their discretion; especially when they use it so freely.

Woo that problem solved, I started saving eveverything I was working on as .jpeg files.
Bad idea.. well not so bad if I also save it as .psd. When I just saved it as .jpeg I couldnt go back and work on it in PS.. all the layers joined into one.
Pfft maybe if I had actually read the manual that came with the program I would have known this... but why would I read a manual? It's not like it's useful..right?

So now I know. Now I know better. Now I will save first as .psd and then a copy as .jpeg and save myself the frustration.
