After many tears, little patience,hard work, and a very long wait, I finally have a brand-new computer.

I know!!! Radical, right?

I named her Ziva respectively because my tablet was named Abby and I couldn't have one without the other.

This doesn't really mean anything besides a few extra updates and faster internet speed. Just so you all know.

Especially because I got this computer purely for academic purposes. *snort*

Besides that, Zoey just returned home from getting spayed and she is currently passed out 100% in the middle of my floor. Cause she can.

So. Even after a week of being at school again, I am horrendously tired. Especially since the Zoe-ster has taken over the house like the Queen she is. Pun kindof intended.

So, as expected, art will be very little to none.

I am working on a small/very very large project now in my spare time. But I'm not going to upload the work in progress or tell you what it is until I'm finished. Things seem to work better that way, it seems. Some of you know what it is, so don't blab, please.

Hopefully I'll get it done as quick as possible since I'm taken three art classes this year, plus 3 AP courses. Fuuuuuuuunnnnnnn.

Let's start off from the top.

My phone died a week in. Not bad, especially since my parents live only about 30 minutes away from campus. Sadly, to some of the other students who's parents live farther away don't have the choice of going out with them to the conveniently located phone store. They must wait about a week to get their new phone in the mail or make the wonderful counselors here go to odds and ends to get them a new one.

Next, my new friends and I had nasty case of bad luck in our arrangements to go swim and work out. They couldn't find the place, the lifeguards were jackasses, one friend forgot her suit, the pool closed early.

Then, the water main in the nearest town broke about 4 days ago. The ban on drinking from any water source besides a bought water bottle was only lifted this morning.

The first week of NYSSSA we had rain on and off, so we were quite used to walking to class with umbrellas and rain gear. But then Saturday, the motherfo' of all storms hit just as we were leaving first class. Once I finally reached the dorms, I had looked like I had been swimming in the lake.

Then, we got our first expel-ee. She was a wonderful person who I would never had believed before that point to be someone who was stupid enough to bring any contraband, especially drugs, while at this program. Biggest mistake she's possibly made because it's going to mess up the rest of her life.

Finally, Sunday morning, at about 1:45 am, I wake up to a shearing headache. The campus alarm was going off. And if you've ever heard about college students ignoring previous alarms, you now know from me that any college student who lived in this dorm wouldn't want to stay within 50 feet of it when the alarm is going off. If I hadn't found my shoes in time, my brain would have turned to mush.

My counselor insisted she didn't know a thing about a drill, and I actually believed her. Who in their effin' mind would hold a fire drill at 2 in the morning! It turns out that a heating unit overheated. And the sad thing about it is that at the time we were exiting the building, one of the counselor's ex-boyfriend was stalking the place, screaming her name drunkenly. Scared me because I thought he had tried to get in and turned on the alarm to get us and therefore her outside.

And the grand finally came this morning when I went to charge my little Mp3 player. She wouldn't turn on. No matter how long I had her hooked up to the charger, she wouldn't turn on. RIP Chrysanthemum. You were a wonderful little music player.

Oh, and I'm still a little pissed that I'm missing Harry Potter. Especially because this happens to be my favorite out of the books. That, and the counselors are going to see it on their days off. *grumbles*

Hopefully I can stand not reading about it for the 12 days I have left.

I dyed my hair again! I planned to dye my hair again just once more before I go away for the summer. Sadly, I didn't expect my hair to grow out as much as it did since I last dyed it. So my wonderful mom had to use an extra tube of magenta to get everything dyed. So the color turned out a lot different than how it usually does. Usually, my hair turns a light magenta, almost like the color of a pink highlighter. But this time, it turned almost purple in some places. Much more like a darker magenta. I really like it though. It's a good change.

Oh, I also saw the teaser trailer for The Last Airbender. And I could go all fangirly about it, but it's such a controversial issue that I'm not gonna go there.

In preparation for this trip, I've been going crazy trying to get everything together. Sadly, in my craziness, I neglected to realize the pressure I was putting on my parents. I didn't really want to think about it because I knew I was going to miss them. In fact, I know I'm going to miss everyone. Including all my animals and friends.

And that includes all of you guys too! I'll miss you!

How are you all?

To start off, I'd like to say Happy Spring to you all. I live in an area that has snow for about half of every year and OMG I see GrEeN NAO! eh, but sadly, soon I'll be getting my yearly nasty nasty allergies, so let's soak it up while it lasts.

Unfortunately, along with this beautiful weather, comes exams. Yes, they are right around the corner for me. In fact, on Friday, I am to take my Advanced Placement Test for US History. This class, while I enjoy the content, the teacher, and the subject, I had very little skill in. I've barely been able to keep a decent C. So, for the next week, I am planning on detaching myself from the computer/TV/Social life to study like mad.

And it's not over there. I have to spend my next couple weekends until final exams working for moolah in order to save for my Summer Art School Trip...Thing.

But FEAR NOT MY FRIENDS. I will return...eventually.

In fact, once I get my agenda in order, I hope to get the help of you guys so I can get a bit of extra cash. Once my parents and I find a way to do it, I am planning on doing commissions. I know I said I'd do this in the past, but now it seems my parents are actually on for the idea this time. Maybe. Just be patient and soon everything will fall into place. Fingers Crossed!

erm...yeah. I have a lot to get through.

I tried so hard to stay up last night and eventually made it to the new year, but due to a raging headache, fell down at about 12:05.

I'm so proud of myself.

Sadly, I was supposed to do the thing I did last year with updating my gallery with the last picture of 2008. Unfortunatley due to said headache accompanied by my elderly and cranky computer, I was unable to.

But I'll be able to finish the first picture of 2009 soon!

Besides spending time with my tablet, I'm also looking forward to this year for many other reasons like CSI and Pushing Daisies, Harry Potter and other great movies that are opening.

ok, first things first. I may be getting a tablet. Maybe!!! It's not going to be the mega amazing $200, super tablet. It's probably going to be a small, cheap, "starter" tablet, so I can get used to it. I'm not sure yet if I have the money or if the tablet will work with my idiotic computer. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and I'm knocking on wood in hopes I don't jinx anything. If I do get a tablet, it may mean I'll be able to crank out SM Remix pages more than I have been. wow, what a paradox!lol that and holiday pics and cards.

speaking of which, the pages I've sketched out in my sketchbook just need a bit more inking, some scanning, some computer editing, and then coloring. That's where YOU come in! I need ya'lls help!

should I:
A: color it on the computer in black and white(something I've never done before)
B: edit it on the computer(add text, borders, sizing etc.) then reprint and color by hand with colored pencils
C: wait entirely until I (MAYBE!!!!!)get my tablet and color it on the computer in either black and white or in color
Please help me! Thank you!

yet another show that does not deserve to be canceled. it's firefly all over again. I hope they end it well. either that or give it a movie. *raises coffee mug* heres to hopin'!

aaand do you know that Pinkitude contest that occured this past few weeks? I did an entry for it but was unable to finish in time. o well. I am going to finish it though, and when I do, I'll post it. I doubt it would've won anyway and I'm glad I'm still doing it.

I am so sorry that I haven't updated Sailor Moon Remix. The pages are literally sitting next to my computer right now. I just haven't had time to work on them because of a big project I did for my school and a project I'm working on my own. Hopefully it turns out well and there will be something special to be submitted.

I will be getting out of school around the 20th, so I shall be getting things set up for the next few pages.

So here’s a silly story for you. Last night, my mother and I decided to watch Polar Express because we believed Avatar wouldn’t be coming back for a while. Or so we thought. My friend Sarah calls me around 8:50. Here’s what basically happened:

Most of my work is in either pencil, colored pencil, permenant marker, and/or regular marker.
