APOLOGIES FOR ABSCENCE:

We are so sorry we've not been around but unfortunately real life interfered so I (Emiwee) had practically no free time till well, now. If you're interested I had a full time job, had to resit an evil exam and someone hacked my paypal account and stole almost £500 from me. That stuff is mainly sorted now so everything should be okay. FAVOURITES PROBLEM!!!!

Ok everyone DO NOT favourite anything in the gallery here. There is a reason we put a link to the ORIGINAL deviation. Because the artist who did the work deserves the recognition. It's really frustrating when we write this in the artists comments for each deviation and yet many people obviously don't bother reading it. So please hit the link to the original before you fave. Thank you.

If any members continue to favourite things in the gallery we may have to REMOVE them from the club. This may seem harsh but the problem is getting ridiculous. You have been warned.

News:

Ok sorry for lack of recent activity and to the zillion new members I've yet to add to the list or welcome. All you guys I will get there and for now: welcome to the club! Also sorry for all the submissions I have still yet to post. I will get there too. You just have to forgive me as I had the flu last week, the same week I had a huge essay to hand in (which I've been working on since my exams finished) and then cause I was so ill I had to get an extension - it was just a whole big problem. The contest will end at GMT midnight so if you don't live in the UK you need to work out what time that is for you. I will post a journal at midnight saying the contest is finished. News:

New Members - Apologies I don't know exactly what is going on but DA isn't letting me add you to the clubs devwatch. Or if it is it's not updating on the clubs page. I suspect it's some kind of bug and hopefully it'll be sorted out soon.

We're probably going to have a contest soon. The prizes will be a 3 month subscription for the winner and a feature for each of the top 3 in my (*Emiwee) journal. By feature I mean you will be in my journal with selected thumbs from your gallery for at least a week. Probably more but I've not decided yet. Any suggestions as for themes for this contest would be appreciated. We've been brainstorming ideas and the more the merrier.

I've changed the layout of the members list and alphabetised it - which was increadibly boring but it had to be done or the length of the journal would've been ridiculous. I've added a link to it in this journal.

I've also made an affiliates list journal. I'm sure everyone has noticed these changes cause I'm totally spamming your messages. Sorry but it's necessary, it'll mean less spamming in future (I hope).

Ohh yay we got to our first 1000 page views! Go us.

I felt it was time we had a new journal. I got my photo's developed. One decent one of Ryan but I doubt it will scan in nicely. None of Brendon really came out that well and where we were in the crowd our view of Spencer and Jon were blocked. Anyway I'll scan them in when I get access to a scanner and post any that look alright.

News:

Well as previously mentioned, we saw Panic! play at Brixton Academy last night.
A basic rundown of the night:

Got to Brixton slightly later than we would've liked, arriving at about 5.30, and there were about 200 people already queueing. The weather was glorious, we stood huddled under an umbrella, but the time passed quickly

We never managed to figure out the name of the first support band, though they had a song, and t shirt which featured the phrase "I say Marvin, you say Gaye", lol. They were surprisingly good, and although the place was still filling up at this point it seemed everyone enjoyed it.

I cannot say the same for The Sounds. I didn't like them before hand, and last night did nothing to change my opinion. After waiting a ridiculously long time for their stuff to get set up, they had a musical intro that seemd to last for ages. I don't like their music, and it sounded as though most of the crowd shared my opinion.

After they finally cleared off, it took about 3 seconds before everyone started chanting for Panic!, which thankfully didn't take too long.

I should point out here that we had fairly good places, we were towards the left, initially with a row of people in front of us. By the time Panic came on, we had been pushed forward so *please excuse upcoming random fangirly outburst* I WAS ON FRONT BARRIER!! Emily was right behind me, so for most of the night, Ryan Ross was about 8 ft away.
I can't remember the entire song order, but they opened with Time to Dance.
They also played Smashing Pumpkins Tonight Tonight and Radiohead's Karma Police, neither of which I know, but it was a great oppurtunity to let everything sink in, it still feels surreal.
Water bottles and photos were tossed out, but unfortunatley none were in our direction. Brendon also jumped off the other side of the stage, and worked his way over, but, of course, he stopped about 3 ft away and climbed back onstage.
Oh yeah, that guy can dance
And Ryan was in Oliver Twist type clothes, which were quite cool ^^

I can't say too much abot the other two, Jon was on the opposite side of the stage so I could hardly see him, and either Brendon or Ryan were standing infront of Spencer. That guy is majorly underrated though, he did a -brilliant- job on those drums, and he had cool makeup- a moustach and beard, lol.


We both bought t shirts, which I'll also put some pics up of, as, obviously there are some photos from the concert to go up ^^, unfortunatley most of them are a bit blurry though.
The only other thing I can say anything bad about is that none of them came out afterwards, even though we waited until the security people told us to leave. Though we can only assume they had their reasons as they say they usually try to come out and see some people.
It was a -great- night, I cant wait til they come back again, I had a brilliant time, they put on such a good show.
I am incredibly happy that this was my first show, thank you to Panic!, it was an amazing night.

I've made a members list which will be updated everynow and then when we have new members.

Is anyone going to see Panic! at one of the Brixton shows? Or has anyone seen Panic recently. It'd be nice to hear from you. We are going on 23rd!

There's going to be a special limited edition CD/DVD with loads of extras released 14th November by Panic! At The Disco. There will be only 25,000 copies worldwide so it is pretty limited. My dad was lovely and pre-ordered me a copy for christmas. You can do it on amazon.com - but not co.uk (I had a look). It costs about $46 or £25.

Second, I hope some of you have some things to submit to the contest - see previous journal entry.

And now to my rant-

As some of you may well know, there is a secret Panic! gig to be held in London soon, and by signing up to a mailing list, they would send you a link to where you can buy tickets. That was today. The tickets sold out in 10 mins. I decided to try and get hold of Emily before ordering, which then lead to us missing out on tickets. Which in it's own right really sucks, but only about 200 tickets can be expected to sell fast, I just didnt expect that fast.
This made me suspicious, so I headed off to, you guessed it, ebay, where -less than FIFTEEN MINUTES- after this gig had sold out, there were at least 5 lots selling secret gig tickets. WTF. In my opinion, a proper fan wouldn't do this, they'd appreciate the band being popular, and not trying to make a personal profit, where other fans miss out. I sincerely hope that anyone doing this has their tickets lost in the mail. Or at least someone possibly reinforcing the rules of orders being cancelled by original seller if found to be resold...
I was really looking forward to a chance to go to this concert, but thanks to selfish, greedy, little *insert appropriate word here*, I, and plenty other fans miss that chance.
Argh.

Contest:

Right this is a very simple contest. Make a deviant ID for the club.

Some suggestions:
Try to put at least two members of the band in the ID (we're not just a Brendon Urie fan club but a P!ATD fan club)

Put in some writing about the club - something simple like "Panic At The Disco Fan Club" will do. Don't need an essay

These are just suggestions but you don't have to abide by them. However:

One rule - Make sure the deviantID fits properly in the gap for the deviantID. If you don't know what I mean I'll try to explain. By this I mean that when it's displayed all of the picture is shown on the page, because it's really annoying when part of it is cut off. It also looks unprofessional. This means the ID can only be a certain width. I'll let you know if I find out the width - or you can do it by trial and error.

The moderators may be entering the competition so we will not be judging it - you will. There will be a vote on the entries after the deadline. The prize will be that your ID is used by the club and a 3 month subscription.

We will post all entries as deviations.

Feel free to make as many entries as you want, but be sensible.

The contest ends 31st August

Both myself and ~Golden-Ramoth will be away for a few weeks. I doubt either of us will have internet access. So we won't be online for a few weeks but don't panic (no pun intended) we will be back.

Found out for definate today, well, from Kerrang! magazine, Panic!'s next single will be Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off ^^. My fave, but I was sure they weren't going to release it -nice surprise!

Anyway, the mag included a screenshot - Brendon in a doctors outfit, wearing an aquarium on his head, complete with goldfish! I -really- can't wait to see it
It's out on July 31st ^^

Some sort of contest coming up soon, most likely for an ID for the club. We'll obviously let you know when we've decided, and probably ask what you guys think might be a suitable prize ^^

Also, if you have any Panic! related deviations, let us know, we'll put them up, linking back to you, and writing whatever you guys want in the description, and noting that any favouriting (oo I think I just made up a new word 0_o), and possibly also commenting, should be done on your pages instead of the club's, as you obviously deserve recognition for your work ^^.
As said, Emiwee and I need to finalize everything, but so far, so good ( I hope) ^^
Let us know if you think that sounds like a good (or bad) system, and anything that may be needed to be done differently.
