For those of you who haven't heard about this before, I want to point you in the direction of this interview.

Now, can I ask you guys something? WHEN DID COMMON ETHICAL SENSE GET SO COMPLICATED?

ALL AUTHORSHIP IS NOT A COMMUNAL ACTIVITY.
Personally speaking, I am influenced greatly by others, There probably isn't a successful artist out there that can deny this similarity. But I can guarantee that the people I get inspired by will be the last to turn around and manipulate my work for their own selfish benefit. Authorship is an effort taken by artists as a whole, not the commissioners and other people looking for a pretty logo.

This is all the sick suggestion of a bunch of cowards trying to pass a law so that they won't have to go fishing for a pencil and paper under all those $100 bills. If you have to go ripping off dirt poor artists instead of rightfully paying them for a design, then there's really nothing I can say or do to ratify your existence. No artist in their right mind is going to wake up every morning with the ambition to check the copyright registries to see if each of their thousands of works have been infringed.

The day that this law is reinstituded, I am going to sit back and laugh my ass off at and then CRY all the retards who failed to observe this simple conclusion:

If artists' rights are taken away, they will stop drawing, and there will be no more art in the modern world.


And frankly, the world cannot and will not survive without creativity.

My picture, Get On Your Soap Box got an honorable mention in the Boston Globe scholastic art awards.

I think that's pretty decent, seeing as I'm competing will all of Massachusetts. :D I was one of two on my school that got an award.

Also, I'll be taking a short hiatus for a while. I don't really have anything to share right now, and this place has been distracting me to a point where it's becoming a problem.

I don't want to make a big fuss over this, but there's one issue that I need to get off my chest.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the original intent of deviant stamps was to let the world know about things that we're proud of, support, or believe in.

But recently I'm seeing more and more poorly made stamps that serve no other purpose but to bash things other people probably enjoy. Like a character, a fandom, an artist, or even an entire genre or subject of art itself.

I don't know about everyone else, but having too much negativity around me just brings me down, you know? I understand if you're sick of seeing or hearing about something, but here's an idea: instead of pissing the rest of the world off, how about showing your support for something that you like instead of something that you hate? If you dislike something THAT BAD, that you have to go out of your way to make or put a stamp in your journal so that you have to remind yourself about it every time you look at your page, I don't see how anyone else can agree with your flawed logic. I would much rather forget about something that pisses me off, personally. No one really gives a fuck about things that you hate. If you're just doing it to make enemies with the people who like that particular thing, then good for you. The rest of us got over that phase after 8th grade.

To sum everything up, I want to see more journal stamps SUPPORTING things that we care about, NOT bringing down everything else.

POKEMONS

I'm pretty sure I did this one before but ehh, I own Pearl now. Ganked from =stardroidjean this time.

1) What was your first Pokemon game?
Pokemon Gold. Was my first GB game, ever. :3

2) Can you remember who your starter was? If so, who?
Totodile

3) Did you ever complete the Pokedex in any games? Which one(s)?
246 in Gold before the battery died. ;_;

4) Did you watch the Pokemon anime? Who was your favourite character?
YES I think I watched it religiously. I think I really liked Ash and Misty back in the day.

5) Do you still watch the anime?
Me and ~Odori just watched the Lucario movie on Friday. Then I started downloading the new D/P series episodes. And now I'm downloading the 5th and 9th movies. That answer your question??

6) What's your favourite Pokemon type? Explain.
I really like electric types. Ampharos, Raichu, Luxray, and Lanturn all kick ass in battle and in looks. Dark comes second for the same reason.

7) Who's your favourite Pokemon? Explain.
Victreebel was my POKE-CRUSH as soon as I saw it in the anime. OK not like THAT but it was just so damn cool. "EEEEEEEEEYAAAAAAH!!!"
Then of course, Typhlosion, Ampharos, and Drifloon. And uh. PROBOPASS.

8) Which Pokemon do you dislike the most? Explain.
Zubat and Geodude >_< 'cause they're ANNOYING. In terms of looks I dislike a lot of the newer ones. Piloswine, Magneton, and Magmar did NOT need evolutions kthx.

9) Which is your favourite region? Explain.
In order from fav to least would be Johto, Shinou, Kanto, Hoenn. Johto, hands down, because the characters, story, and game overall were just fantastic. GSC had this unexplainable charm that no other game had. Plus the 2nd gen Pokemon had most of my favorites. OH and you could go back to Kanto, which was my FAVORITE thing in all of GSC (besides Goldenrod city XD).

10) Which is your favourite Pokemon series (ie, Kanto 1-151, Johto 152-251, Hoenn 252-358, others)? Explain.
In the anime? Kanto series because it's what I grew up on. And about halfway through the Johto series I kinda stopped watching...yeah.

11) Can you say a series Pokedex, without a reference, in order?
POKE RAP LOL. Haha no, but I was THIS CLOSE in being able to recite the Kanto Pokedex back in the day.

12) Do you know all the type advantages, disadvantages and all the super-effective moves for each type?

If Tyemukaa woke anyone up because there was a problem, it would have to be the end of the world. So I would probably flip out!

LOL I LIEK 2 DATE MYSELF. haha since Snowy is pretty much a paler version of myself with funny ears I think that would be pretty weird.

3. Number 3 (Leslie) walked into the bathroom while you're showering?

..GAHAH EW NOTREALLY. Seriously, it probably wouldn't be that big of a deal.

People don't see much of Auyah, myself included, so meeting him in person would be pretty cool...even if he was unconcious.

Chemistry experiment gone wrong? D': Regardless, I wouldn't go near whatever EXPLODED (ohgeez, science major!) with fear for my own safety. I figure he's got enough friends to help him out.

If it bothered any of them, I'd tell 'em to get used to it. Punky is very outspoken, but he often doesn't mean harmful things that he says.

Art Trades

Art trades are the exchangement of a picture for another picture in return.

I. Send me a note if you are interested. Once I give the OK, please provide a full color reference of your character(s) and any other specifications I should know about.

II. I reserve the right to reject any trade proposal. I will do this only if 1) I feel that I cannot trust you for any reason, and 2) if I am overbooked with previous exchanges.

III. Lastly, I expect that you will put as much effort into your half of the trade as I do into mine. I will not reject someone based on skill level, but I might if you produce half-assed pictures when I know you can do better. If you do not draw, I would be happy to accept your request as a commission.



Commissions

Commissions are the exchangement of a picture for money, or something equal in value.

I. Send me a note if you are interested, including a full color reference of your character(s), and also what you would like them to be doing in the picture. I will get back to you and we can discuss the price and method of payment.

II. Please do not commission me if you are unsure that you will be able to pay me. Like trades, I reserve the right to reject any commission offer if I do not trust you, and that is for me to decide.

III. I do accept commissions in exchange for deviantART and LiveJournal subscriptions if I'm close to running out. If you prefer this method instead of real money, tell me and I'll let you know if I need one at the moment.

IX. PRICING:

● Sketches: $8 per page
I fill the entire page (8 x 11) when I sketch. You will not be charged extra for the number of drawings on a page. These will be drawn with pen and may be mailed to you by request free of shipping cost.

Okay, the drama is over for now. I'm not going to react like I said I would because I just don't think it's that big of a deal. These are kids having fun; none of the art is being sold, and most of the people aren't even taking credit for drawing them. Also, some pages have been taken down since they were discovered.
