FreeRice will give 10 grains of rice to starving people for every question you get right. But in our busy lives we often have difficulty finding time for such things, ne? So I have a solution that anybody can follow! It involves perfectly legal (and free!) macros.

You will need:

Firefox ([link])
iMacros ([link])
FreeRice ([link])

1. Now, install the iMacros extension.
2. Open up a new Firefox window.
3. Open the iMacros extension sidebar.
4. Go to the FreeRice website.
5. Open up two more tabs.
6. Go to the FreeRice website in both tabs.
7. You should now have three tabs, each of them on the FreeRice website.
8. Go to all three tabs and click on the any of the four options.
9. On the iMacros sidebar, click the "Rec" tab.
10. Hit the "Record" button.
11. At the bottom you should see something like "Click Mode Auto."
12. Click the words "Click Mode" and select "Use X/Y position."
13. On the first tab click on the first option (out of four on the FreeRice website).
14. Click on the second tab and repeat step 12.
15. Click on the third tab and repeat step 12.
16. Click on the first tab again, then hit "STOP."
17. Your Macro is now saved as # Current.iim. I highly recommend renaming it.
18. Now hit the "Edit" tab and click on "Edit Macro."
19. Edit the text file until it looks similar to this:

20. Click "OK" or "Save." (varies by computer) Also, the X and Y numbers will be different depending on your screen resolution.

22. Now, highlight the number "3" and change it to 99999.
23. Hit the "Play (Loop)" button.
24. Watch as the program racks up lots of rice in a short amount of time!

Assuming things went well, you can let iMacros gain free rice for starving kids even while you're sleeping! I got 16,500 grains last night!

Basically, you have to either draw a picture of or write a story revolving around a/the draun.

If you want any, and I mean ANY, fact about the draun clarified, tell me and I'll clear it up for you. I want this to be as easy as possible, but I can't think of every possible factor that might matter to at least ten different people off the top of my head. Don't limit yourself to what I've written so far. Creatures evolve over time and the draun are no exception!

Every entrant can have as many entries as they wish, but in the end, they can only win one prize.

There is currently no deadline for this contest.

The deadline will be set for exactly two months after ten different people enter. As soon as the deadling is set, I will send a Note to each of the entrants and change this Journal entry to include the deadline as information.

New entrants ARE still accepted after the deadline is set, they just have less time to get their pieces done.

The Process Of Entering:

3. Draw a picture of or write a short story revolving around a/the draun

4. When posting step 3 as a deviation, include my icon in the description and state that the draun species is my creation

5. Wait for my judgement

Well... as most of you may not know, I decided to crash my computer...! On purpose....! For the 4th time within the past 2 months.........! I'm crazy, I know. :P

ANYWAYS! I won't ramble on about the various troubles I had, but I FINALLY got Gentoo installed!! For those of you (I'd say 99%+) who have no clue what I'm talking about: Gentoo is one "version" of Linux. I tried Ubuntu, but it was too user-friendly for me. I would recommend it for somebody who wants to switch from Windows, but it is very constricting (a lot like Windows :P). Debian didn't want to install, nor did Arch. So I tried Gentoo for the second time, and it failed. Utterly. Tried it for a third. Same thing. But I kept persisting... and now I have a working Gentoo system..! Yay!

After three days of hard work, I got my monitor working, AND my tablet...! Gosh Linux needs better Widescreen monitor and tablet support... BUT! Now I can finally relax and start submitting more stuff again! .......Not that anybody really views my stuff anyways.... :paranoid:

Heyyyyya everybody! Guess what guess whaaaat!! I found a fun, addicting, 100% free GPL MMORPG. GPL means that anybody can take it and modify it, no copyright issues. This ALSO means that ANYBODY can contribute to the project! In fact... right now it's in the pre-alpha playable tech demo stage, so the gameplay isn't final! The graphics may not be the best... but it's still quite fun. And besides, with enough manpower and talent, the graphics can easily change for the better! Right now they are in need of programmers for the server and client... but artists are needed as well! Paricularily pixel artists who are capable of producing sprites and tiles. If you think you can help in ANY way, even if it's just fixing typos in the Wiki... then PLEASE I beg of you to head over to the site! The Wiki has a lot of info to read, and the forum is a great place to start.

The reason I love this so much... is because it's all open source! Rather than having the big company make all the decisions... the choices are made by YOU, the community! Thus, you have a DIRECT possibility to influence and improve this giant world. You are able to help CREATE an entire WORLD. If you're interested in anything like that... whether it be programming, graphics, sound, ANYTHING you can do to help is GREATLY appreciated!

Okkkey guys! Before ANYTHING else... I would like to point out that it is IMPOSSIBLE to say anything containing more than two 't's 'k's among others. Thus... the word letttttttts is impossible to pronounce. Just warning you. :D

Second... as you all know, I consider myself to be hideously ugly. I believe I should crawl under a rock and die. That's how ugly I am. But... I'm going to be fair, and give YOU all a chance... to PROVE ME WRONG!! Homegosh! If you want a chance to prove me wrong... THIS IS IT!!!!

Basically.... you have to prove to me in some tangible way, that I am NOT ugly. If you do it right, I'll accept it, and stop thinking of myself as ugly. Simple as that. Get to it! :D By the way... if it isn't working... well obviously you're doing it wrong, so try a different way. There IS a way to get me to stop thinking this way... but you pestering me over and OVER again saying that I'm not ugly isn't the right way... Okeys? :D

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke, it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking..............

Dart Test...

A young lady named Sally, relates an experience she had in a seminary class, given by her teacher, Dr. Smith. She says that Dr. Smith was known for his elaborate object lessons.

One particular day, Sally walked into the seminary and knew they were in for a fun day.

On the wall was a big target and on a nearby table were many darts. Dr. Smithtold the students to draw a picture of someone that they disliked or someone who had made them angry, and he would allow them to throw darts at the person's picture.

Sally's friend drew a picture of who had stolen her boyfriend. Another friend drew a picture of his little brother. Sally drew a picture of a former friend, putting a great deal of detail into her drawing, even drawing pimples on the face. Sally was pleased with the overall effect she had achieved.

The class lined up and began throwing darts. Some of the students threw their darts with such force that their targets were ripping apart. Sally looked forward to her turn, and was filled with disappointment when Dr. Smith, because of time limits, asked the students to return to their seats. As Sally sat thinking about how angry she was because she didn't have a chance to throw any darts at her target, Dr. Smith began removing the target from the wall.

Underneath the target was a picture of Jesus. A hush fell over the room as each student viewed the mangled picture of Jesus; holes and jagged marks covered His face and His eyes were pierced.

Dr. Smithsaid only these words... "In as much as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me."
Matthew 25:40.

No other words were necessary; the tear filled eyes of the students focused only on the picture of Christ.

Isn't it funny how someone can be so fired up for Christ on Sunday, but be an invisible Christian the rest of the week?

Isn't it amazing how many new deviations are submitted daily on dA?
That the amount of people who are interested in dA increases daily?
And the fact that so many artists have found a platform to dicuss and present their work to others?


Without a doubt it's a big, interesting and versatile community.
But isn't it amazing to always see the same artists on the frontpage every single day concerning the fact that so many new deviations have been submitted?

We're all aware of that and believe that this has to change. It is already quite difficult for the "unknown" artists to promote their work and gain more attention.

Clearly, we do not intend to deny the skills of those great artists who enrich the community by sharing their magnificent work. But we do intend to enhance the platform in such a way that "unknown" artists might get a real chance to draw the public attention to their own pieces of work by promoting it on the front page of the community.

In our opinion we think it unjust to only have the chance to be represented on the front page if one has the luck of having many watchers.

We would like a better system which allows a deviation to be seen on the front page if, for example, it has 'only' reached about 40 favourites and about 200 views.

Take a look at the actual situation: You have uploaded an impressive piece or art that gets faved according to the number of your total views/watchers. Then, however, a more popular deviant uploads a more or less 'average' deviation and automatically reaches more than the double of your favourites/views in a mere moment.

A new structure of the frontpage could enhance the actual competition on dA, i.e. popular deviants wouldn't be able to best the "unknown" artists by posting a rather average deviation.

A reasonable alternative to present the "daily top favourites" on the front page would be a bigger amount of thumbs which would show the 40 best deviations of the day in a random order.

We think it's in everyone's interest to change the current situation and make dA a place where creating and sharing unique art plays a far bigger role than scrambling for new watchers.

Well... I won't go into TOO much detail... but let's just say my life is a wreck. I could spend five journals going into details about my family, but I won't. Instead, I'll focus entirely on today. Strangely, my sister wasn't QUITE as bratty as usual, though she still acted pretty mean... my father, well, he's as passive as usual. Now... let's get into what happened.

You see, I'm currently signed up for an online course, which I'm passing with flying colors. The problem is, you're supposed to attach the file into a special box, which allows the teacher to grade it. Now, that'd be perfectly fine, except that their server HATES my computer, so it refuses to let me upload. So, I've had to attach my entire work into the small comments box, which removes all of the nice paragraph breaks, etc.

My teacher was fine with that for a while, but soon started to get ticked off. So, she started docking me five points (out of a hundred) each time I didn't attach the file. Then, she told me to contact the principal about it. So... I try to send an e-mail to the principal. But guess what! They have it set up so that you can ONLY E-MAIL YOUR TEACHER, NOBODY ELSE!! Plus, there's no contact information anywhere on the site.

So! I finally get ahold of him, but he keeps telling me to get onto Skype, a free chat/talking service program thingymajigger. Anyways... I log onto Skype, and try to send him a message, but get no response. I try the same thing for two weeks straight, until my computer crashed. I also tried on MSN, ICQ, and sending more e-mails.

But get this! My e-mails, after almost three months, are STILL UNREAD. This guy is getting PAID to read e-mails by his students, but does he? Oh nooo, of course not! Now, if that was all, it'd be no problem. BUT! My teacher, because the PRINCIPAL didn't respond, I suddenly get docked 50 percent of my grade!! Is that stupid or what? Here, I try EVERYTHING I can, to do as they say, and to fix the problem. So, because the principal doesn't respond - which is his job - I get a failing grade.

This alone urks me terribly bad. Makes me want to just lay on my bed and cry, which I almost did. Of course... that's not ALL my troubles. Oh noo, of course not! I still got my bad family issues to deal with. Like my father beating me, my sister treating me like dirt, my mother not caring, etc. etc. Add to that the numerous disorders I have, such as terrible stomach cramps, not being able to sleep, depression, among others, and my life is just going 100% peachy, ne?

Sorry if this bothers you, but I really feel like typing, and venting off some steam that has been built up in me for the past five days. So... sorry.... :(
