Hi everybody! Thanksgiving has passed and now Christmas is upon us again. My favorite time of year! Happiness all around to those that are mostly grumpy, seeing family ya hardly ever see, eating chocolate treats without sin, the smell of pine, the sparkling shine of snow, soothing cheerful music from the stereo systems, driving to the mall and catching a lot of houses with decorated lights, walking around the mall seeing it covered in garland, searching for the right tree with your parents, Christmas movies like my favorites "Home Alone" and "It's a Wonderful Life" (the ONLY movie I ever cried watching), and all around pure joy.

That also means it's time for me to do my Christmas story! Last year, I had to stop writing it due to school, the Art Institutes expect perfection out of me. This time, I'm ready. I've made a few small changes to it, mostly spelling changes. The only major change was the Marine Squadron, I changed it from HMLA-775 Coyote Squadron (which disbanded September of last year) to HMLA-169 Viper Squadron.

So, please, check out and read my Christmas story. The chapters are for each day until Christmas. So, what are you all doing for Christmas?

It's that time again!

FOOTBALL TIME!!!

And this year is gunna be special for me, because this year I'm playing Fantasy Football. Huh? What? What's Fantasy Football? Well, it's a league game you play with an even number of friends/family. Everybody selects different players for their "team" and if that player does well in the actual football season, you will get points.

So, me and my family gathered around and chose players for out team. We got to choose at leased one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end, one kicker, and one defense. After 17 rounds, here is my fantasy football team:

Quarterbacks:
Philip Rivers (San Diego Chargers)
Donovan McNabb (Philadelphia Eagles)
Ryan Fitzpatrick (Buffalo Bills)

Runningbacks:
Matt Forte (Chicago Bears)
Frank Gore (San Francisco 49ers)
Knowshon Moreno (Denver Broncos)
Donald Brown (Indianapolis Colts)
Cadillac Williams (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Wide Receivers:
Chad Ochocinco (Cincinnati Bengals)
T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Seattle Seahawks)
Hines Ward (Pittsburgh Steelers)
Nate Washington (Tennessee Titans)
Muhsin Muhammad (Carolina Panthers)

Tight Ends:
Dustin Keller (New York Jets)
Jeremy Shockey (New Orleans Saints)

Kickers:
Rob Bironas (Tennessee Titans)

Defense:
New York Giants

As a rule, you must have eight players active and the rest on reserve. In case any of your players gets injured or if your player is on a Bye-Week that week, you have backups. I'm excited!!! Don't you guys think I have a good team? Can't wait to play.

And in each week, all of us go up against each other. I'm playing against my aunt Jen's team. She's smart about football... plus, she's got Adrian Peterson XD Anyway, I hope to enjoy it. Wish me luck everybody!

Oh man... Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band put on a GREAT show last night! Unfortunately, I'm too tired right now (I JUST got back home this second) to explain the details.

I'll write in a whole journal tomorrow explaining it. But, let me tell you, that show was FREAKEN AWESOME!!! Bruce Springsteen, 59 years old, and he's STILL rocking!

***

Okay, here it is. This how the day a started. My mom, my dad, and I got up early and started to get dressed. According to the weather channel, they said it was going to thunder and rain all day in Mansfield, MA. I kept looking at the weather all week hoping it would change. Either way, we brought some towels and spare clothes in case.

So, we jumped in the car and drove the long drive to Mansfield, MA. It was lucky because my parents have been there before. They knew the way. We first stopped at this diner where we had Buffalo chicken quesadilla's and ribs. Then we got subs and coffee for the ride home. Next, we drove to this grass lot to park, and my parents saw that the crowd there was different from a Dave Matthews crowd... all 40's and 50-year-olds, no teens or young adults. And... good news, so far, no rain. That was when we started walking to the arena.

When we got there, I got a Mountain Dew and a Bruce T-shirt. When I was getting my T-shirt, I chatted with a woman there who's a huge Bruce fan and said she's seen him MANY times. Anyway, after I got my shirt, we all took our seats... and it still didn't rain.

Finally, after waiting for hours, the show started at 8:09. He opened with "JACKSON CAGE" off of his 'The River' album. It was a great opener. He them dissolved the music into the song "SHE'S THE ONE" off of 'Born to Run.' He took a small break and I thought it was a great opener so far.

Then, he brought out his acoustic guitar and started playing "WORKING ON THE HIGHWAY" which he did well XD So far, these are songs that only die-hard Bruce fans would know. After the song, he hung his guitar over his shoulder, grabbed the microphone, and started playing the hit song "HUNGRY HEART" encouraging the audience to sing the chorus part as he sung the verse.

After that song, the stage grew dark with red and yellow lights. When Bruce was lit up, he was wearing a cowboy hat and carried his microphone. He then sung the new song "OUTLAW PETE" which lasted about ten minutes LOL After that song, he grabbed his electric guitar and then started paying "BADLANDS." Before the song ended, Bruce and guitarist Steve Van Zandt did their own duet guitar solo. Then the mood changed to mystical as he played the title song of his new album "WORKING ON A DREAM." It was AWESOME with the blue lights.

As soon as that song ended, guitarist Nils Lofgren played a lengthy guitar solo of the next song. The song Bruce sung was called "SEEDS" which is a song Bruce never recorded, it was always done live and is only on the 'Live 1985/85' album. Just as the song ended, the music kept playing to a rock-and-roll version of the acoustic song "JOHNNY 99" which my mom was hoping he'd sing. As soon as that song was done, the lights dimmed and everyone sat down.

The next song he sung was a soft-spoken song with just him at the microphone and Roy Bitten on the piano. He sung the rarely heard song of "POINT BLANK" but I knew the lyrics because of my being a fan. He then took the microphone off the stand and sung "RAISE YOUR HAND" which is another song he never recorded, only does live. During the song, he was collecting posters that front-row spectators held up with song requests on them.

Once the song was over, he held up a poster he collected that said 'Burning <3' ... so, Bruce, being a huge Elvis fan, grabbed his electric guitar, talked to his band, and started playing the Elvis Presley song "BURNING LOVE." It was the first song in the concert I didn't know about. After that song, he grabbed another poster that said 'For You' on it, which was off of Bruce's first album. Bruce and his band started playing "FOR YOU" which was awesome! Once one, he grabbed a poster with a classic song, a song he never recorded, but he wrote and a lot of people made it famous. It was called "TRAPPED" and actually, it was MY first time hearing it (I heard OF it, but it was my first time hearing it) and... whoa... it was AWESOME!!!

After that song was done, I was stunned... then, he played "WAITING ON A SUNNY DAY" off of his 'The Rising' album. He carried the microphone around and approached a little girl who looked like she was 10, and asked her to sing it. She got the lyrics 'mostly' right:

Correct lyrics:
Waiting, waiting on a sunny day
Gunna chase the clouds away
I'm waiting on a sunny day

She sung:
Waiting, waiting on a summer day
Waiting on a summer day
Waiting on a summer day

Oh well, she did good XD Once that song was...

That's right... I'm gunna be seeing Bruce Springsteen IN CONCERT!!! Here's how it all started:

A few weeks ago, I was at my grandparent's house and I was talking to them as how my parents, big Dave Matthews fans, complained how my parents have seen Dave Matthews (I like him too XD) almost 50 times, but I've only seen MY artist once... been a Bruce fan since I was four years old. Well, I'm glad I saw him, but sometimes "once is not enough."

Of course my parents said that Bruce's tickets are heavily expensive. So they said to me, "Well, Ryan, if you can go online and find Bruce tickets at a good price, then we'll go."

I took their word for it. The next day, I went online to Bruce's website and found out he was playing near home in late August. I checked the ticket prices, expecting them to be very expensive... they weren't! They were reasonable prices. I showed it to my parents and... next thing I knew, my mom got her credit card and we all bought three tickets (me, my mom, and my dad)!

So, come Saturday, August 22nd, I'm going to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in concert in Mansfield, Massachusetts! I'M EXCITED!!! Of course, I'll never see Bruce's organ player, Danny Federici, anymore, RIP.

LOL, to celebrate, I've been making parodies of all of Bruce Springsteen's albums in place with Sonic Underground. Also... now, I'm not the type of person to ask for requests (makes me feel selfish since I'm already a good artist myself) but I've been asking my friends to draw pics of Sonic on stage, playing a guitar, and singing quotes from Bruce songs.

August 22nd, I... CAN'T... WAIT!!!

BRUUUUUUUUUCCCEEE!!!

I ran a Virus scan, and it found none. I ran a diskcheck but it stopped short saying the files were corrupted. So, I ran an Error-check and it worked...

...

... it completely got rid of my "My Pictures" folder (and a few other useless folders I don't use). Well, in my hard drive, there's this file called My Pictures that's 32 KB in size, anyone know what that means? When I try to make a folder and title it "My Pictures" the comp says that folder already exists.

Anybody know how I can recover that folder? If not, it's not a total loss, all of my pictures are here on dA (it pays to not delete any pics from your gallery XD) and those that aren't, I can re-scan then. But it'd be nice to recover my "My Pictures" folder.

The other day, I went to see Star Trek" and I was blown away at how awesome it was! As a Star Trek fan, I was kind of expecting a poor movie, like most movies based on TV shows, but I was happy at how this movie really lived up as a prequel to Star Trek TOS (The Original Series). Sure, there were a lotta other Star Trek movies before that, which all had the original cast members returning. There was the Motion Picture, Wrath of Khan (with the return of the late Ricardo Maltaban), Search for Spock, The Voyage Home, The Final Frontier, and the Undiscovered Country. The original Star Trek movies ended with "Generations" which was the start of TNG (The Next Generation) line of movies. Yeah, I do like TNG, but I was glad when TOS got a movie again.

Also, I'd say the acting was incredible! The first time we meet Karl Urban, he rambles on about how he is afraid of something malfunctioning, followed by him explaining medical terms... immediately, I pointed to the screen and said "That's gotta be Bones!" LOL, the late Deforest Kelly would have been proud of that. In addition, I was getting worried because we still have never met Scotty until later on in the movie, which was a nice surprise. I was worried about that, because that would be a slap in the face to the wonderful acting of the original Scotty, James Doohan who passed away four years ago. Overall, any Star Trek fan should find enjoyment out of this movie! With the exception of a few things (which could be explained by the time-traveling Romulans), this movie remained heavily true to the original series that will make any fan happy! My personal only disappointment is that I wish the movie used the original television series sets. But I'm sure the crew had a good reason to create the new bridge and everything. I personally found it too bright and white.

Now, onto the movie. Stop here if you don't want spoilers. It was all a time-travel movie where vengeful Romulans, led by Captain Nero (played by Eric Bana from "The Hulk" and "Black Hawk Down") to make the Vulcans suffer for the destruction of their planet. It begins with the birth of a baby while a Starfleet Captain named Kirk is about to destroy the Romulan ship. Before his death, he asks his wife to name the child Jim... James Tiberius Kirk!

Years pass as we get to see Kirk's wild-side when he grew up in a farm on Iowa (in which any Star Trek fan will tell you where Kirk grew up)! From there, he gets recruited by Captain Christopher Pike... whom we all know was the Captain in the Pilot episode "The Cage." After three years, he is about to pass Starfleet Academy, and there he meets ascardy-cat doctor named Leonard McCoy (played by Karl Urban who gained fame for his role as Éomer on "The Lord of the Rings" and personally my favorite character), a black woman named Uhura, and a Vulcan named Spock (played by Zachary Quinto, famous for his role as "Heroes" villain Sylar). I was also pleased that the storyline of the movie stayed true when Kirk passed the Kobayashi Maru... the simulation course in which nobody can win! Of course, staying true to the series, Kirk was caught rewiring the test so he can beat it.

Suddenly, an emergency situation comes and all the students go on different starships to aid in a crisis situation... unaware they're walking into a trap. Bones manages to get Kirk on the Enterprise, in a HUMOROUS fashion of pain and shots! On the Enterprise, commanded by Pike, we are introduced with an Asian pilot named Sulu and a Russian pilot named Chekov, also true to the series. In addition, their uniforms are very similar to TOS. When the Enterprise arrives at Vulcan, the Romulan ship is waiting for them and orders Pike to him while Spock has command of the ship. Pike goes over, while three cadets (Kirk, Sulu, and a redshirt) must literally HALO-dive to the drill and destroy it. The redshirt dies, leaving Kirk and Sulu to battle the Romulans on the platform... I enjoyed that scene, because it was the classic hand-to-hand fight on a narrow space. Unfortunately, they are too late to destroy the drill and Vulcan is about to go boom. So, in a last ditch effort, Spock gathers as many Vulcans as he can to transport on the Enterprise... but his mother perishes. I personally didn't like that because we've always known that Spock's mother, a human, has always been alive.

After that, Pike is taken away aboard the Romulan ship and Pike tries to tell him that Romulus is still out there, unaware that Nero is from the future. Kirk tries to gain control of the Enterprise but Spock, already on bad terms with Kirk, maroons him on an ice planet where he is nearly attacked by creatures... but is ultimately saved by... wait for it... LEONARD NEMOY!

That's right, Leonard Nemoy reprises his role as Spock, a much OLDER Spock, and when he sees young Kirk, he quotes a well-known line in the movies, "I am, and always shall be,...

To those who don't know, I am an online student with the Art Institutes, majoring in Game Art & Design.

Last winter semester, I took two classes, 3D Modeling and *shutters* Algebra. The 3D Modeling class was doing well until the final project, which lowered my grade. Algebra, however... I failed it. I was so nervous, I cried on my pillow that night. I'm just glad my parents understood.

Good thing was, my adviser casually mentioned I could do better the second time I take it, and THAT caused my jaw to drop. "You mean, I could take the class AGAIN?" And she said, "Yeah, if you fail a class, you can try it again until you pass. Students fail classes all the time, don't get paranoid over it."

Honestly, I never knew that. You see, ever since school and community college, I have NEVER failed a class... therefore, I NEVER knew you could RETAKE a class. I always thought it was, "Fail a class, fail to graduate." I feel better, though. This time, I'm going to pass, and hopefully with a high grade.

This other class I'm taking is called Game Design & Game Play, which is basically a class to learn about a story structure in video games, because story structuring in novel-like stories and video games are very different. Which is good, because I want to start off as a writer for video games when I work for a company.

Anyway, wish me luck. The last semester was a BOMB! I need to get my GPA back up. Boy, I'm a nervous wreck!

I know the day was coming months ago and it finally came. My sister, Jacqui, has finally left the nest. She is now living with her boyfriend in an apartment not too far away. Still, I walk down the hallway where the bedrooms are and I notice her bedroom is just as empty as the day we moved into the house.

I lived under the same roof with her for 21 years and now, well, it's come down to her moving out. Somethings I wont miss are her constant mean comments about me. There were times where she would stare at me, ask me what I'm doing, and think I'm weird.

Well, now I'm the only one left living with my parents. It's just the three of us now.

Oh, on another note, I received Bruce Springsteen's newest album "Working on a Dream" and it's awesome! Despite the band losing their organ player, Danny Federici (1950-2008), a few of the tracks contain Danny's music before his death from melanoma. Some of his songs will be automatic hits, such as "My Lucky Day" and "Working on a Dream." Other songs are very catchy like "Life Itself" and his other song, "The Last Carnival" sounds like a sequel to his 1973 song "Wild Billy's Circus Story" with it's bass a horn music. I think my favorite song is his acoustic ballad, "The Wrestler" based on the movie of the same name. I even learned to play that song on my guitar.

Well, that's all. I wish my sister the best of luck and long happy years with her boyfriend... she better, her bf is AWESOME, a heavy gamer like me LOL

I was waiting five years to get enrolled and it finally happened, majoring in Game Art & Design.

Now, after a whole year has passed, I have different views on art. First, let me explain the scheduling. You start off taking two classes that last for five and a half weeks, then you immediately take another two classes lasting for another five and a half weeks. So, total, a semester lasts for 11 weeks. And there are four semesters in a year; winter, spring, summer, and fall, so that's a total of 16 classes a year.

I have finally finished my first whole year at the Art Institutes. I started by taking a class about online classes along with a Drawing class, both were okay. All they really did was test my art skills. After that, I took a Color Theory class and an Intro to Game Development class. I scored high on my game class but I didn't do well with my Color Theory class (not my fault, my professor was mean, I gave her very low points on the professor evaluation test).

After a break, I started my spring semester. Because I didn't score well on the accuplacer test, I had to take an Elementary Algebra class... I HATE math more than I hate bin Laden! Well, I took a basic algebra class along with a Drawing & Perspective class. I aced the drawing class, but I got a C- in the math class (a C or better is a requirement for math) so I had to take the basic Algebra class again. Until then, I took a Digital Image Manipulation class which was a lot "stranger" than I though. With that, I took an Art History class. As much as I hate math, I absolutely LOVE history! History is like my number one favorite school subject. For my Art History class, I was a mere few points away from scoring a perfect 100% grade.

Now the summer semester... I had to take the Algebra class again... however, the assignments were the exact same as last semester. With the help of my friend, Zee-Zee, I was able to pass with a C+ grade which was more than I needed. I also took a Visual Indication class to learn how to draw 3D pictures on 2D planes (paper) and I got an A in that class. After that, I then made the biggest mistake ever... I took Character & Object Animation class and a Life Drawing for Animation class... NEVER take TWO animation classes at the same time! It was TOO MUCH work for me! I passed them both with B's, but I never want to go through THAT again.

Now the most recent fall semester. I took a Storyboarding class and an Advanced Life Drawing class. I did great on my life drawing class... but the storyboarding class, I bombed! Well, I got a D+ which was a passing grade, but I learned the hard way that storyboarding is NOT what I'm good at. After that was done, I finished up with a Storytelling class and a 2D Animation class. I... HATE... 2D... ANIMATION... WITH... A... PASSION! I NEVER want to be a 2D Animator, it was time-consuming, it was difficult, it was a LOT of work more than even I could handle, and I'm still in shock as to how 2D Animators can do such things, because to me, 2D Animation seems like an impossible task. I'm just glad there are no more 2D Animation classes in my major. The best part was, my Storytelling class was awesome. I aced it!

Today was my last day and I'm in relief. It was a hard year. So far, it seems like the Art Institutes was just "testing" my art skills instead of teaching me stuff. I explained that to my adviser and she said, "Yeah, we're supposed to do that. But, trust me, from here on out... it's gunna get fun!" I'll take her word for it because I'm signed up to take 3D modeling classes. I'm excited. I downloaded (illegally) a full version of 3ds Max and I've been playing with the tutorials to get me prepared. I'm excited!

One year down, and I estimate another year and half before I graduate. I'm very excited! With me luck everybody.

And I wish you all a Merry Christmas.

There were four prizes and, well, let's just say that Toni the Mink wins all four.

Originally, if I had multiple entries, I would be discussing it with my friends to decide the winner based on artistic talent, originality, and amount of research. I personally hate "voting" contests because you can have a crappy entry who's entering for no reason, but has many many many friends to vote for them... then you take an entry by someone who puts their heart and soul into it and is desperate for the prize, but has no friends. Doesn't sound fair, does it?

So, anyway, the only entry will receive all four prizes. That include four picture requests and three characters to appear in my upcoming 'Furry Commandos Save Christmas' story.

Before I leave, have a Happy Thanksgiving everybody, and tomorrow I wish you all luck in the crowded malls... oh, and a Merry Christmas as well.

Well, I finally finished another semester at the good ole Art Institutes. In the first 5 and a half weeks, I took a Drawing & Perspective class, which I really did well, and... as a requirement, I took a Basic Algebra class. I hate math with a passion.

The second half of the semester was better. I took a Digital Image Manipulation class, which went okay, and I took an Art History class... and... I would not be surprised if I was top of my class on THAT class! XD I've always loved history. I took a World History and a U.S. History class in high school, and at my community college I needed two electives... I took two U.S. History classes. Now, at the Art Institutes, I took an Art History class, and man was it FUN!

But, of course, there are some down sides. I had to take a Basic Algebra class because I didn't do well on my accuplacer test, and the Game Art & Design major doesn't allow students with a low Algebra score. So, I had to leave that major temporarily to take a Basic Algebra class. Luckily, I had a friend help me out later in the semester...

... unfortunately, I was one point shy from a C grade, which is a passing grade for me to be let back into Game Art & Design... so, now, I gotta retake that class again. That's why I'm unhappy (among other reasons but I won't get into them).

Last night, I had a nightmare, it was weird, scary... but also stunning and action-packed! It was not a lucid dream, I couldn't control anything except myself.

Anyway, I'll tell you guys all the details I can remember. I was walking through this city block that seems to have all auto-body shops and old closed buffets. Anyway, there were buildings on one side of the street, auto-body shops on the other, and a horseshoe-like alley in the back.

Anyway, I was walking down the street when I stumbled onto a gang picking on two little elementary-school kids in the back of the alley. A fight ensured. I had a gun with me there so I used it and they did, too. Some things broke out and I realized that there were snipers on the roofs of the buildings across the street. I can't remember how, but I came in possession of an M-4 Carbine with an M-203 grenade launcher and a red-dot scope. I do remember going to the left of the alley and shooting one of the snipers, then I ran to the other building and shot another sniper.

I can't remember how, but I got the kids in the auto-body shop and another firefight broke out. It was odd how my gun sounded more powerful than their guns but no matter how many times I hit them, they wouldn't drop... well, that was exaggerating 'cause I DO remember dropping quite a few. Can't remember how but there was some kind of plan to detonate a bomb in the city I was in. No matter which direction I ran, the snipers and close-quarters gunmen kept me in one place.

I do remember picking up a cell phone from one of the guys I killed and called the police. I told the police officer to come in through a back way into the alley. Eventually, he did, one lone blue-uniformed officer. He checked out the streets and was almost picked off by the snipers. I remember firing my M4 at the snipers but none of them dropped. The officer called in for SWAT (but for some odd reason, SWAT never arrived).

The rest seemed jumbled with firefights in the alley and on the rooftops, but I remember that last bit in details. The officer, the kids, and I entered an auto-body shop and the officer was shot in the leg. I came face-to-face with an Asian man and a nerd-like guy with puffy hair. Before I got to fire, the Asian guy grabbed my M4 and somehow disassembled something, so I whipped out my pistol and he grabbed it and removed the blowback slide... next thing was weird, I sat Indian-style in front of the two. The Asian was on a laptop computer on the floor and the nerd had a explosive detonator in his hand. I asked them how they did that, they said they had training and resources, asking them what their plans are... can't remember what they said.

Suddenly, the leader of the group appeared and tried to shoot me, then ran upstairs for something. I dove behind the shop's desk and I asked the cop to throw me his gun. He did and I shot the nerd-guy. He didn't die, but he did squeeze the detonator. The two of them quickly shouted, "Not yet! Not yet!" Then the two of them exploded dead. The leader and someone else came down stairs and thought that they killed me. From behind, I used the cop's gun to kill one of them but ran out of bullets before I could shoot the leader. As the leader ran, I ran for my M4, reassembled it, and was ready again. One of the kids mentioned a digital camera taped to the leader's RPG weapon. I said, "it's a gun-cam!" I ran upstairs to follow him, with the snipers trying to shoot at me. The leader fired a rocket at me, but I jumped in a hole downstairs before the blast killed me. I fired automatic upward, trying to shoot the leader.

Then I woke up! GAH! I wanted to know how it ended! It was a COOL dream! Next time I dream of it, it'll be a lucid dream, I like dreams where you wont expect what will happen next. Oh well, it was awesome!

Whew! To everyone that didn't know, I started online classes with the Art Institutes on January 7th. There, I took two classes, one was Drawing and the other was Strategies for Online Learning. (Imagine that, an online class about taking online classes!) My Drawing class was fun, I got to draw different objects and shapes in different patterns, and ended with a self portrait. After five and a half weeks, those two classes were done and I passed them both with a B+ average.

Then on February 14th, I started two new classes. One was Color Theory and the other was Introduction to Game Development. To those who don't know, I'm majoring in Game Art & Design. (My first career choice was the military and I wanted to go into the SEALs, but that dream was destroyed years ago.) My Color Theory class was a problem because my professor never seemed optimistic or satisfied with anything, but I was glad I passed it. I actually tried to challenge that class because I took it at my past community college... no luck, the AI didn't accept it. But my Intro to Game Development class was AWESOME! My professor used to work for Red Storm Entertainment, and that's where I want to work someday. I passed those classes easily after another 5 and a half weeks.

Well, now I'm done with my first semester at the Art Institutes. I have actually calculated that if I take two classes per session (four per semester, which is 11 weeks), then I will graduate from the Art Institutes with a Bachelors Degree in Game Art & Design by June of 2010... that's nine more semesters to go! But, for now, I got a week vacation before my next set of classes start.

Well, wish me luck everybody. I got a long way to go, but I'm on the road right now. I can't wait to see what happens in the future.

When I was 17 years old, while I was a Junior in high school, I took a graphics class. One day in the spring of that year, a speaker came in representing the Art Institutes: [link]

I loved the orientation that I took the pamphlets and told my parents that I wanted to go there. So, I graduated high school and spent seven semesters at STCC (Springfield Technical Community College, pronounced "stick"), and now... five years later, I'm finally going to start classes with them!

I had a hard time choosing between either 'Media Arts & Animation' or 'Game Art & Design' majors. I mean, I wanna make video games, but I also wanna animate cartoons, too. When I heard that the Game Art & Design major will involve a class animating cinematic cut-scenes for games, I decided to go with that because, if I want to make a cartoon, I'll take the game program and make one long cinematic cut-scene. I'll kill two birds with one stone! (Though I wouldn't in real life 'cause I'm a wildlife-lover.)

I am not afraid to admit a few things about myself now. Some people my age are eager to move away from their parents into an apartment or a dorm... not me! I usually get afraid when I'm alone and away from my parents for too long. Also, I'm not afraid to admit that I am absolutely NOT ready to live on my own. My family said they can't relocate to a city with an Art Institute campus, so they talked me into taking the classes online. I've never taken an online class before but I'm excited... besides, my first online class is about strategies to take online classes XD I'll be taking the classes in my pajamas LOL

Anyway, I'm excited as sin! I've been waiting for this for five years. The fact that I got accepted was a feeling indescribable! I got an GPA of 3.16 while at STCC so that helped me get enrolled in the Art Institutes. So, tomorrow is my very first day. I'm excited and nervous. My hands are shaking as I type this, I feel THAT good. Oh man, I can't wait! And to think, in three years, I'll have a Bachelors Degree and I'll be making the video games you guys play.

My dream-job is to work at Red Storm Entertainment, which is a branch of Ubisoft. Red Storm Entertainment is Tom Clancy's game company, named after his second novel "Red Storm Rising". To those who don't know, Red Storm Entertainment made all of the "Rainbow Six" and "Ghost Recon" games, such as "Rainbow Six Vegas" and "Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2" and so on.

Wish me luck everyone. I'm excited that, after five years, I'm finally going to start... and in three or four years, I'll be making video games like a pro!

My Christmas List

I took this from ... because it was interesting ^_^ Well, here's what was in her journal entry:

~STEP ONE~
*Make a journal. The journal should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

*If you wish for real-life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where someone could get in touch with you.

~STEP TWO~
*Surf around your friends list (or friends friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

*If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

*You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

*There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

And here's my list (order from what I want leased down to what I want most)

1) More "stuck" pics
2) Some Furry Commandos fanart XD
3) Well, I'd like a phone call being wished a Merry Christmas (that tells me ya didn't forget about me)
4) Oooh... I wanna Cessna 172 (first, I need a license XD)
5) I'd really love my computer fixed AND cranked up to the max
6) I'd like "Transformers" on DVD (was AWESOME in the theaters)
7) I wish to be a real-life Navy SEAL
8) Some airsoft guns by Tokyo Mauri
9) I'd love the rest of the Tom Clancy "Jack Ryan" book series
10) Most importantly... I really just wanna see my friends HAPPY!

To contact me, my e-mail is Plane1985@aol.com
Yahoo! Messenger captbataf@yahoo.com
MSN Messenger Bat138@hotmail.com
AIM Plane1985

Yes, I know that some of ya can't get me a plane or a fixed computer... but I guess what I want are "stuck" pics... and smiles on your faces. That's all I ask ^_^

... and I know this isn't a Christmas gift, but this is something I always wanted... this may sound strange but... I wouldn't mind living with wolves ^_^;;;

Now let's see YOUR lists ^_^

It's that time of the year again! The most WONDERFUL time of the year! ^_^ That's right... it's CHRISTMAS TIME! And, again, I... Ryan Perreault... shall return the 5th annual Christmas Countdown! It started back in 2003 when I was browsing a website owned by Lisa Echidna. She had a countdown a year prior so that inspired me to draw song pics counting down to Christmas.

In 2003, which I call "The First Year" is when I made 12 fan characters and 13 official Sonic the Hedgehog characters of mine and my friends. They were posted on my former NetRaptor gallery.

2004, "The Replacement Year" I replaced a few pics with new ones over ex-friends. (However, one of those ex-friends was Jay Foxfire and I reunited my friendship with her last year).

2005, "The Dragonball Year" was all official Dragonball characters, thanks to my then-girlfriend Toni the Mink for getting me into Dragonball.

2006, "The Official Year" is where I returned my Sonic countdown except I replaced ALL the fan-characters with official characters. I thought about it, if I should have done that in the first year... but if I didn't, then I wouldn't of been kept updating this countdown every year. Glad I made this decision.

2007, this year I call it "The Fan Year" which is where it will have all Sonic fan-characters of mine and my friends. I noted you to those who will appear in the countdown and I'm pleased that I didn't get a rejected invitation. In addition, I will be returning some old fan-character slots as well. Oh, in "The Replacement Year", Jay's characters were among the ones replaced. However, I'm glad to say that Jay and I are back as friends again! YAY! So... her slots back in 2003... will make a TRIUMPHANT RETURN!!! ^_^

I've made up some personal rules for myself during this countdown. Some rules include... do NOT use the same song twice. Others I made, which I disobeyed this year, was that if I were to make a group pic of several characters, then I must give each individual character their own SOLO slot as well. Well, this year, I got some fan characters in groups that I haven't split apart... BUT I will eventually give those characters their own solos in the near future.

Next year?! What am I gunna do NEXT year? LOL, not gunna tell ya. To those that I HAVE told, don't be a blabber-mouth XD Anyway, I know what I'm doing next year and already planning it, so don't go giving me suggestions. Besides, let's focus on THIS year!

I'll be uploading the slot pics here on dA, so check it every time to see if YOUR fan Character or fursona will appear. And, to some of you, I might use one of your characters in one slot, then surprise ya with another one of yer characters in a later slot. So, anyway, keep checking so ya might see yourself.

Also, I'll be uploading the pics (as well as all my past pics) onto this page: [link] though it's not quite done yet. Well, that's all I gotta say! Starting tomorrow (midnight EST) I'll upload the pics counting down the 25 days until Christmas.

On a personal note, Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. It's very special to me. If you've ever come to my house and see who I REALLY am, you'll say that I'm a 4-year-old in a 22-year-old's body LOL I love acting like a kid, being playful, having fun, and enjoying everything around me. I love Christmas because of multiple reasons. One is because it's a time of all-smiles. My sister, whom is heavily bipolar, is always snappy and frowns a lot. I'm hoping Christmas can turn her frown upside-down. Plus, I get to see everyone I rarely get to see. This may sound weird, but Christmas is like everyone's birthday, only birthdays, you are the center of attention. That may be fine, but I don't wanna be the center of attention ALL day long! Ya'll can be happy with each other and everyone's nice to one another. Another reason is because of... Santa Claus!

[WARNING: LITTLE KIDS SHOULD STOP READING MY JOURNAL AT THIS POINT!]

When I was told the Easter Bunny didn't exist, I was fine with that. When I was told the Tooth-Fairy didn't exist, it didn't bother me... but when I was told that Santa didn't exist, THAT hurt me badly. I remember I was about 12 or 13 and I lashed out at my parents that they're wrong... but they were right. So, do I believe in Santa Claus? No. Do I believe in Santa's spirit? Yes, do I wish he REALLY were REAL? Oh, yes! Santa was one of my childhood heroes (and, to be honest, he still is in heart). To me, he was just one of those symbols of happiness and joy and he's never mean. Like I said, I'm like a child, and I wish Santa were really real. So, yeah, when Christmas morning comes, I rush to the tree all smiles and I'm STILL like that today. (This is embarrassing, but... still today in...

Okay, I kept this in for the longest 'cause I didn't wanna burst out and explode at my friends about this. But now, I feel like I gotta get it out right now because I'm on the edge of blowing up. This is my biggest pet-peeve that involves everyone.

STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT YOUR DEPRESSED LIFE!!!

Okay?! I'm sick and tired of reading journal entries and getting Instant Messages about people acting all depressive! I am the LAST person you should go to to talk about your problems! I'm terrible when it comes to cheering people up, that's my biggest weakness... and in the end, I get yelled at (by my peers) because I can't cheer anyone up! Well, can you guys run a 7-minute mile in boots, take the stairs up several flights to get to your class instead of the elevator, play video games extremely well, recite all the lyrics to almost all Bruce Springsteen songs, etc.? No? Am I gunna yell at you about it? No!

So, if you guys are depressed and feel like ranting it out to me... KEEP IT TO YOURSELF! Unless you guys got something happy to say to me or ya wanna talk about Sonic games, pictures, or whatnot, please keep it to yourself when ya wanna rant out "oh, life is treating me badly!"

Well, the reason it's treating you badly is because of YOU! I'm sick and tired of all my depressant friends (not gunna name names) constantly complain to me about how sad their life is. GET SOME SELF-ESTEEM!

If you rant in your journal entires, that's fine 'cause that's public. Just don't expect me to say anything. I fully understand that everyone on the planet gets depressed once in a while. To those out there who have high self-respect and are happy a lot and you just get depressed at leased once every few months or twice a year, I'm sorry for making this sound like I'm lashing out at ya. Yes, I get depressed sometimes, but I try to keep it to myself and solve it from within. I'm talking about those who ALWAYS complain about their depression and EVERY dA journal entry they put up is about that! You know who you are and it's making me sick! STOP IT!

I'm well aware that there are brain problems which causes depression and I know it's not your fault, but there IS help such as therapy and medication! When I was in high school, I had a low attention-span, so I took adderall and got one-on-one tutoring which helped me out. See? I helped myself out, so please help yourselves.

So, to end this rant, I'm sick and tired of listening to depressant people CONSTANTLY complain about EVERYTHING! What's worse is they come to ME for advice! WHY?! Somethings bothering you? What do you want me to say? "There, there, it's okay." And what will the most likely response be? "No! It's NOT okay!" Oh my God! I detest that!

And this is not just from me! So, to all of you guys who are depressed and constantly complain about it. At first, you'll get sympathy... but if you keep it up, no one's gunna wanna listen anymore! I said I'm not good at giving advice or cheering people up, but I got three good ideas to advise you... get some self-esteem, get some help, and LEAVE ME ALONE about that! That's my biggest pet-peeve! You guys know who you are. If you're gunna complain to me about that (or about ANYTHING) ... do me a favor, bite your tongue! Next person comes to me and says stuff like that, I'm just gunna ignore ya. Talk to someone else, 'cause I'm NOT the right guy you should talk to. Talk to me only if ya wanna act weird, do crazy stuff on IM, draw pics, exchange YouTube videos, and be overall humorous and happy, and much more.

To those who don't know, I turned 22 years old last October 29th. My birthday present was Bruce Springsteen's brand new studio album "Magic". Lemee tell ya, I have been a Bruce Springsteen fan since I first saw him on MTV Unplugged back in 1992. I was only seven years old when my parents taped it and I just used to watch it over and over again (even WITH the commercials XD) and I STILL got that video tape! I also owned a record playing turntable and several of Bruce's old old records. Ever since then, I've been a very huge Bruce Springsteen fan. So, at a young age, I learned all the lyrics to almost all of his songs. Today, I got ALL but two of his albums, with the exceptions of "Before the Fame" and "Tracks." Yup, all of them:

Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. (1973)
The Wild, the Innocent, and the E-Street Shuffle (1974)
Born to Run (1975)
Darkness on the Edge of Town (1978)
The River (1980)
Nebraska (1982)
Born in the U.S.A. (1985)
Tunnel of Love (1987)
Human Touch (1992)
Lucky Town (1992)
Bruce Springsteen's Greatest Hits (1995)
The Ghost of Tom Joad (1995)
18 Tracks (1999)
The Rising (2002)
The Essential Bruce Springsteen (2003)
Devils & Dust (2005)
Magic (2007)

I also got his live albums as well, including "Live 1975-85," "Chimes of Freedom," "MTV Unplugged," and "Live in New York City." As you can see, I've been a Bruce Springsteen fan for as long as I could remember. He's one of my heroes.

And now... he has just come out with a brand new studio album with his real gang band... the E-Street Band!!! It's called "Magic" and I heard the songs several times. And now, here is my review, and I'm sure it will please all fans of "The Boss"! Well, the cover was kinda moody in color and grain, so I was expecting mostly solo acoustic depressive songs like his albums "Nebraska," "The Ghost of Tom Joad," and "Devils & Dust." Boy I was wrong! XD With the exception of the songs 'Magic' and 'Devil's Arcade', they were all fast hard-playing true rock and roll, but, as usual, Bruce kept his singing voice very smooth rather than screaming like most rock artists do. The first song on the track 'Radio Nowhere' really had the same style of most of his older works, keeping the fans happy that he hasn't shifted in a different direction in style.

As for the theme of the album... well, he mostly kept in the tone and feeling about how he feels about our involvement in Iraq. I'm not gunna say my opinions 'cause I don't want a debate in the comments of my journal entry (be nice to each other or get out!) Well, I can understand how Bruce feels about his attitudes towards the war. He grew up during the time of our involvement in Vietnam and was almost drafted there! In fact, his album "Born in the U.S.A." is mostly about his feelings toward Vietnam... and, quite frankly, a lotta Bruce fans say that is his best album. (Me, personally, my favorite is "Darkness on the Edge of Town"). So, do I feel like 'Magic' is controversial? ... No way! It's a somewhat of a remake of "Born in the U.S.A." and I predict that "Magic" will be one of his best albums to date... until he makes another one XD Dang, guys, Bruce Springsteen is 58 years old and in an interview on "60 Minutes" said he's in no rush to actually WANNA retire LOL I say, GO BRUCE!

As for the whole band, I'm glad everyone is back. After "Born in the U.S.A.", Bruce was getting divorced by Julianne Phillips so he went solo on "Tunnel of Love" ... during that time, he married co-singer and current wife Patti Scialfa. He broke up with the E-Street Band to try a tour with a different band for a decade. Then, in 2002, 17 years after "Born in the U.S.A.", he reunites with the E-Street Band and they make a comeback in "The Rising." Now, Bruce and the E-Street are back again in "Magic." It's so good hearing Max Weinberg, "Little" Steven Van Zandt, Nils Lofgren, Danny Federici, Garry Tallent, "Professor" Roy Bitten, Patti Scialfa, and... "The Big Man" Clarance Clemons! It's awesome for life-long loyal fans, like me, get to hear the gang again!

Anyway, that's my review. So far, "Magic" is one of his best albums. I hope others agree. Thanks for reading this, bye bye!

Bringing the Author's Nightmare BACK!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Ryan Perreault, I am an author, and I had a nightmare five years ago. For those of you that don’t know, I wrote the fan fiction “An Author’s Nightmare 2: Going Underground.” The story was based on me getting captured, taken through a dimensional portal, and right into the Sonic Underground world. That was written five years ago when I was only 16 years old.

Notice the ‘2’ in the title? That’s because it was a sequel based on other author’s versions of the same concept, get taken into a different Sonic the Hedgehog universe. Currently, there are four versions. Sadly to say, my version was ranked as the worst of the tetralogy. Looking back at it, I can easily understand why. There was so much violence and so much self-glory. However, I was surprised when people I do not even know said they liked it. So far, two strangers left me deviantART comments saying, ‘are you the guy who wrote that author’s nightmare 2 fanfic?’ I said I was and they replied that they loved it. It was an honor hearing that, but still, most people hated it.

It’s been five years since I posted the last chapter on FanFiction.Net; August 19th, 2002. Starting this Sunday, August 19th, I will post all of my chapters up here on deviantART for all to read, celebrating its fifth anniversary! To celebrate its 5th Anniversary, I have re-written the whole story almost from scratch. My writing skills have improved greatly over the years and now it is of a professional reading level. The basic major story elements will remain unchanged, but many details will be altered.

One of the biggest differences is that I write a side-story. That’s right, as you read it, you will get the story of me in the present time in the Sonic Underground universe. At the same time, you will get a story of me that happened four years ago. Every once in a while, the chapter break will say "Four Years Ago" and you will get a story of a younger me, and then it will soon go back to "Present Day" of me in the Sonic Underground world. If this troubles you, then it is completely okay to bypass all the past sequences because the story will still make sense. So, you will get TWO stories in one!

Besides that major change, I have also made some minor changes to the story as well. They are as followed:

- Toned down on the excessive violence
- Changed my age from 16 to 24 (I was 16 at the time I wrote the story)
- Change my profession from Civil Air Patrol to United States Army
- Replaced my sidearm from the M92 Beretta to the Heckler & Koch USP
- Gave me a Heckler & Koch 50 Tactical Fixed Blade (a knife)
- Roxy remains although she passed away in 2005
- Changed chapter names
- Removed all the flashback scenes in replacement to the additional story
- The beginning escape scene is completely different
- The battle scene where I meet the hedgehogs is different
- The battle scene at the party plays out differently
- The training scenes play out differently
- The part where the hedgehogs accuse me for working for Robotnik has been removed
- Removed the air-to-air combat scene, replaced it with an interrogation
- Replaced the song “Born in the U.S.A.” with another one
- Altered the final climactic battles to be more realistic
- DIFFERENT ENDING... plus a different epilogue

Well, that’s all I have to say. To anyone who wants to read the original version of my fanfic, “An Author’s Nightmare 2: Going Underground,” you can catch it here on FanFiction.Net: [link]

Stay tuned to deviantART... on the page of user name Perreault... one of his biggest and most explosive fanfics returns!

Years ago, I found a workout program on the Internet and I always wanted to give it a try. When I showed it to my CAP instructors, they said, "Perreault, this is not a workout program, this is a suicide method." When I showed it to my dad, he was like, "Whoa, Ryan, this is way to intense," and my mom said, "You're gunna kill yourself, Ryan."

I don't blame them. I got the program off of a Navy SEAL website XD It's designed as a preparation for Navy personell/officers who want to join the Navy SEALs. To those who don't know, a Navy SEAL (standing for SEa, Air, Land) is the United State Navy's Special Operations Force specialized in counter-terrorism, direct action, special recon, foreign internal defense, and unconventional and aquatic warfare. Next to the U.S. Army's counter-terroism unit Delta Force, Navy SEALs are considered to be the hardest unit to join in physically. And from looking at my workout program, I can see why XD

Now, as for the workout program, we own a tredmill and a pull-up bar so I'm prepared for it. For years, I've been putting it off and putting it off, but now I decided to do it. It will last 16 weeks, but they say it will be worth it! First, it asked me to run 2 miles in boots, do 60 push-ups, 80 sit-ups, 9 pull-ups, and cool down by walking on a steep incline carrying weight for 30 minutes. And that's just the first day! Man, if I was at BUD/S, I'd already ring that bell XD (to those who don't know, BUD/S stands for Basic Underwater Demolitions/SEALs which is the school for Navy SEAL, and when you want to quit you ring a bell three times).

But I'm going to keep on doing it! I'm going to go all the way to the end, when they ask me to run six miles and do 30 pull-ups XD Wish me luck everybody. I'm not stopping now! HOO-YAH!!!

That's right, I finally got one!!! XD

A week ago, I went to FYE and got the Sonic next-gen game and I've been holding onto it until I got the Xbox 360. As I'm writing this, is it still in the box but I just wanted to let you guys know that I got it. I'm so excited and happy!!!

Give me a week or two so I can play the Sonic game. Once I beat it, I will give my review about it.

One more thing, if anybody is going to comment about anything negative about the Sonic next-gen game... SHUT UP! Sorry, but I'm sick and tired of everyone talking negative-negative-negative about the new Sonic games. (In fact, I'm sick and tired of anybody talking negative about ANYTHING) I personally don't wanna hear it, got it?

Okay, now that that's taken care of, I'll sign out now and start playing. Bye bye.

UPDATE:
Okay, I forgot to buy a memory card but I got as far as Wave Ocean to the part where Sonic runs non-stop through the level. Here's my review of it so far. The beginning cutscene was AWESOME! It got me hooked and I wanna know what happens next. The princess, voiced by Lacey Chabert (famous for voicing Meg Griffin from "Family Guy," Eliza Thornberry from "The Wild Thornburrys,"and young Vitani from "The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride"), has been under attack by Eggman and Sonic comes in and saves her... only for her to get captured again but not before tossing Sonic a Chaos Emerald. Next is a Town level, which is like the adventure stages in "Sonic Adventure." The controls were slightly harder than I thought... but EVERY game has hard controls if you're new to it XD I'll get used to them. And you can still talk to people like in SADX and buy stuff at the store. Took me a while to find the store and get what I need. Once I passed the shoes test with the old man (on my first try with a rank of C) I got the light shoes from the store and went on into Wave Ocean. It was slighty hard to control Sonic's movements (but easier than Sonic Heroes) but the attacks were easy. I died once but finished the rest easily. Once I got to Tails, I died a few times and failed once to close the gate in time. Next time, I was able to find the switch and lock the gate. Next level was Sonic running without stopping after the Egg Carrier. I died all of my five lives, but I got closer each time. Once I wasted my last life, I turned off the Xbox 360 and grinned, knowing I was in for a great game! As for the loading times everyone's complaining about... well, I can wait 5 to 10 seconds easily. XD So far, I'm enjoying the game. The controlling is slightly difficult but I'll get used to it easily. Bye bye for now.

V1 UPDATE:
Okay, I'm still without a memory card, but I got pretty far in the Sonic game. So far so good. I was able to beat Wave Ocean. Took me a while to get on the roof to get the little girl down but I got it. Once I got to the desert area, I had to face a giant robotic dog, Egg-Cerebrus... when I saw him charge at me, I almost peed myself O_o;;; but when Tail shouted to grint on his tail and make him run into something, I beat Egg-Cerebrus on the first try XD the only complaint is that the camera doesn't stay between Sonic and the boss, I lost Eg-Cerebrus several times... but he was easily found again. And when I got to the level where I had to escape the desert, took me seven tries and two days to beat it. I'm getting used to the controls, but it's not easy. XD Overall, I'm having a fun time playing the game! Once I beat the desert level, I almost died after seeing that butterfly land on Sonic's nose. AWWW!!! After that, I went back to Soleanna and... I met Silver!!! YAY! Now, I had to fight him next... and... um... HHHHEEEEEELLLLLPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fight started... two seconds later, "It's no use" and died. Oy, help me!!! Someone help me!!!

V2 UPDATE:
Still without a memory card. But, anyway, I finally beat Silver. Thank for your help, but it was a lot harder than you guys described. I beat Silver and in the cutscene, Elise was captured... again! XD Right before Silver was about to kill Sonic... ENTERS AMY!!! LOL!!! Silver called her by name, so he does know her... but I dunno where or why. Anyway, I had to get to the area with the warehouse but in order to do that I had to find the Soneannan Army Captain... take a guess who was the last one I suspected... LOL, just proves I'm extremely unprepared for SFAS (Special Forces Assessment & Selection). But, anyway, I passed and went to the warehouse where a huge battle emerged. After killing all them mechs... WE MET KNUCKLES!!!!!!!!!! Knuckles had a message from Eggman, Eggman told Sonic to meet him in White Acropolis. The three of us left the warehouse and played some minigames such as the ring festival, retrieving those data disks, and the 3 Musketters levels. As for the 3 Musketters mini games, Tails was hard because I was only a p...

The 1st player of this 'game' starts with the Topic. '6 weird habits/ things/ hates about yourself.'

People who get 'Tagged' MUST write a Journal about their 6 weird habits/ things/ hates as well & state this rule clearly.....

In the end you need to choose the next 6 people to be 'Tagged' & list their names....

Don't forget to leave a comment that say's, 'you are Tagged' in their Deviant page comments, & tell them to read yours.....

1) I wish I had more muscle mass, I'm too skinny

2) I tend to say the wrong things at the wrong time and not even know I offend people. I don't understand anything about people except how to give them intense physical pain

3) The only reason I play current Sonic games, no matter how bad people say they are, is because I'm a true loyal fan.

4) When I go to bed, I always cocoon myself in the blankets and I sandwitch my head in the pillows (meaning one pillow under my head and one pillow over my head)

5) I personally don't mind if I were to die a virgin

6) I have Plantar Hyperhydrosis... meaning my feet sweat and my skin is VERY sensative to moisture, so I always either wear wool socks with my shoes or go barefoot

6 people I wanna tag:

... whoa... holy... last night, I just had this strange nightmare, but at the same time it was interesting. No, I wasn't in it, but it was still scary. Lemee tell ya about it.

It's about two kids, a boy and a girl, their pet cat, a stray cat that adopted them, and the creepy house down the street. Well, the boy and girl are afraid of this creepy house down the street from their house, sayin that a crazy scientist lives there or something. They go home to find a cat there. The cat adopted them... but (this freaked me out) the cat's eye is strange. It has a pattern in it rather than an iris or pupil. It's a pattern to a strange-looking key with the word "Slash" written on it. Written below the key design, it says "MMLB" ... I dunno what it meant and I still don't have a clue.

Anyway, the kids pass that strange house on the way home with their new cat, but when they passed that house, the cat snaps hit head and stares at it as if hypnotized but also in fear. That night, the new cat overhears the kids talking about their experience there. When the boy's alone, the new cat approaches him... and this freaked me out! The cat said... LITERALLY said, "There's something you must know."

If I wasn't laying in bed having this nightmare, I'd freak out and toss and turn (I probably was doing that.)

Anyway, the cat mentiones that his name is Slash and he was literally created by that strange creep in that house but dunno why (he also mentions that he has a crush on their cat XD). He says the only way inside is by a key that looks like his eye. So, the boy and Slash head to the house that night to investigate. Inside was like a small haunted house with body parts hanging and saws and other carving tools. Inside... they meet the girl and their other cat. The four investivate the house until they head upstairs where they hear someone. They make it upstairs and... walking to them... is a tall Lurch-like man and a short insane-like kid. They notice Slash and dash for them. They all escape (minus their other cats which I didn't even know).

Anyway, the kids and Slash wonder who that guy was but Slash didn't know. I remember it has something to do with "MMLB" but I completely forgot about it. Anyway, back at the creepy house, the mad Lurch guy was talking to the kid, mentioning about world-domination or something. Little did they know, the other cat was there listening in. She jumps out the window and heads back home.

Back home, the cat tells (yes, he seems to be able to talk as well) the kids about the world-domination plans and they head back to end it. I can't remember details, but the boy fight the boy from the house and kills him. I can't remember how but Slash kills the large scientist guy. It ends with the kids and cats pouring gas all over the house and setting it ablaze.

After the house went up in flames, I woke up and I said "Whoa... what a cool dream!" It was a scary nightmare, but it was also a cool nightmare.

You seem, in 2003, while I had an account on NetRaptor, I drew and uploaded pictures of Sonic the Hedgehog characters singing Christmas songs, counting down the 25 days until Christmas.

In 2004, I did it again, but I replaced four of the slots, owned by ex-friends, with fresh new ones. However, I did not use the same song twice in two different slots.

In 2005, I made a Dragonball countdown full of all official characters and 25 new and different songs. Yup, I never used the same song twice.

This year, in 2006, I'm reuploading my Sonic Christmas countdown. Last year, I posted a poll on dA asking everyone what they wanted me to do next year with four options... however, it was a four-way-tie, so I decided to go with the one I wanted. What I wanted to do was re-upload my Sonic Christmas Countdown, but instead use ALL OFFICIAL characters, no fan characters. So, last year, I had 11 fan characters and they will all be replaced with 11 official characters and new songs.

For those of you wondering, no, I am not going to upload them to dA since most of them are already here. Instead, I'm going to upload them onto a web page. Check the page every day for a new picture. Also, there will also be the slots from past pictures, so you all will get a chance to see every single one of my slots. Post your comments of the pictures in this journal. Have a Merry Christmas.

Oh, and what I'm going to do this year on dA is something I've been working on since summer. On December 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, and 24th, I will upload a six-part story I've been working on and I hope you enjoy it. (Toni, you know what it is, so please don't tell anyone.)

So, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. To get to the page where the pictures will be, go here: [link]

UPDATE:

Yesterday, the day started out fine. I had a class in my favorite subject, U.S. history, and we talked about warfare during World War One. I went home to get picked up by my mom (usually, I wait for a public bus, which usually takes an hour). Then my family went to a place called Yankee Candle and saw all the Christmas stuff they had. We went home and baked stuff for Thanksgiving. I wanted to make Chocolate Eclares, so I did. In the end, the results were better than I thought they'd be ^_^ I was happy, because someone with little to no cooking experience, like me, succesfully made something that was one of the hardest things to make and it came out awesome!

Then... the worst thing has happened...

For a week, my comp had a virus. I have beaten virus' before, but this one wouldn't go away. It slowed down my Internet to the point where I couldn't get on. I completely lost it and accidentally dropped the modem box. The thing broke, destorying my chances of getting back online. Not only that, my modem box is wireless and helps the rest of the computers get online... so now none of us can get online because of me! I was extrmely angry at myself, I was hurting myself badly, it got to the point where I lost it and burst into tears. Last time I cried was when I saw a dog that looked like Roxy, my past dog.

Then I rmembered something... how about I use the phone line. I was able to succesfully get connected on my mom's laptop, so she can still use the Internet. Me, however, I can't. Luckily, I can still use my computer for games and stuff (the virus I have only effects Internet connections and speed... since I ain't got no more connection, the virus can't do shit XD) In the morning, I explained it to my parents. As usual, my dad was upset, but my mom understood it was an accident. When I told them I was able to get a connection on the laptop, my mom was happy that she got something, "it's better than nothing." My dad, however, got angry that he didn't have connection to cable... I sarcastically replied with, "you're welcome."

I'm still a little shaken up, but I'm feeling better. I'm writing this on the computer in class. Unaware by me, my parents already ordered DirectTV and it's coming in this Friday... so, I'll probably be back online by Friday. Until then, I gotta battle that bug.

Well, it's been nine months since I heard the news and FINALLY... the brand new Tom Clancy's "Splinter Cell: Double Agent" game has come out for PC and I finally got it mailed to me ^_^ I'm so happy!!!

... eh, no I'm not! It turns out my PC doesn't meat the minimum requirements. My PC is the following:

Processor: 1.99 GHz Pentium 4
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9800 PRO (128 MB)

And the game requires the following:

Processor: 3.5 GHz Pentium 4
Video Card: ATI Radeon X1600/X1800/X1900 (256 MB or more)

GAH! I have the game I've been waiting for and my comp can't even play it! *sighs* Well, I won $30 at the casino I went to for my 21st birthday, so now I have $146 ... I need to make at leased $400 or more to afford the Processor chip and the video card. Donchya hate it when that happens? The rest of the requirements are fine except for the Processor and video card.

Well, it's not the only thing that happened. We got ourselves a new plasma television ^_^ It's AWESOME! I can't wait to play my GameCube on it! The book I'm reading, "The Stand" is worth it from that infamous ending to "The Dark Tower" series XD

Oh, and the nightmare has reawoken! My mom is bringing back her daycare!!! NUUUU!!!

LOL, it's okay. At leased this time, it wont be as bad. My mom will only take at leased four kids at a time, they'll stay in one room most of the day behind the sound-proof sliding door, and the days will be shorter... but still, dunchya hate it when that happens? Ya finally closed a chapter of the worst saga of yer life, and it gets picked up for a sequal? XD

So, here's my quiz.

# List 12 of your original characters:

01. Ryan "Bat" Perreault
02. Bristy "Knife" Hedgehog/Perreault
03. Jazen Anderom
04. Zagger Hinderson
05. Jack Lender
06. Lewis Talien
07. Bandy Pilender
08. Danny Torient
09. Cari Perreault
10. Josh Perreault
11. Sally Anderom
12. Grace Hinderson

HA! Take that, Minkgirl! I also have six others LOL *after a short pause, I have a painful mark imprint of an eggbeater on my head* ... let's get the to quiz.

01)Who would make a better college professor, 6 or 11?
I'd say Sally because she's more experienced in her job while Talien is only a young-gun.

02) Do you think 2 is hot?
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!! Do YOU think she's a hottie?

03) 12 sends 8 on a mission?
Most likely to gun-up some SCUD launch sites.

04) What is or would be 9's favorite book?
Tom Clancy's "The Hunt for Red October"

05) Would it make more sense for 2 to swear at 6, or the other way around?
Well, yeah. Knife's a Major while Talien is a Warrant Officer. She's a tough cookie.

06) For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should he share a studio apartment with 9 or with 10?
Josh because they're both in the Army... Cari's a Navy-chick XD

07) 2, 7 and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Hmm, probably a pizza shop with extram meat on their pizzas. They'd most likely talk about their job experiences since Knife's a Marine, Pilender's in the Army, and Grace Hinderson's in the Air Force.

08) 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?
Damn! I dunno! Anderom is my physically strongest character and he's a Marine. However, Josh is almost as strong, and he's on Delta Force. Anything could happen in a fight between a Marine and a Delta operative.

09) If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would he get it back?
Hmm... if Bat stole Torient's possession, he'd probably stealthfully track him down... only to fall victim to ambush XD But, nah, Bat wouldn't hurt him.

10) Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.
"Battlefield in the Sky"

11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?
Most likely, Knife ends up a P.O.W. in the enemies hands. Bat is Knife's husband and she's also Hinderson's best recruit during basic. The two work together to get her back... like in the movie "Soldier Boyz"

12) If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
Hmm... well, if Chief Warrant Officer-2 Bandy Pilender came to my house, he oughta take me flying in his Apaches XD That'd be a blast!

13) If you could command 3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
MAKE ME A MARINE!!!

14) Does anyone on your friends list write or draw 11?
Never. All I know is that she's a fox, but she's never been drawn before.

15) If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, which would it be?
Dang! Knife's married! Well, if she had to choose sides, I'd say she should go with Lender because she's not really that fond of Hinderson that much, but she's unaware that Hinderson finds her as one of his best recruits ever!

16) What might 10 shout while charging into battle?
"DELTA ALL THE WAY!!!"

17) If you chose a song to represent 8, which song would you choose?
Hmmm... toughie... I'd probably say "Eve of Destruction" by Barry McGuire because Danny was 23 when he made his first kill and he was queezy after that, stating that he hated war. However, he knows he still has a job to do.

18) 1, 6, and 12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?
Bat XD His reflexes are the fastest and the strongest... he hasta be that way in order to fly F-15's LOL

19) What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10?
WHOA WHOA WHOA! Knife using a pick-up line on Josh??? SICK! Knife is Josh's mother!

20) What would 5 most likely be arrested for?
Circus-stunt fly-by's with his AH-64 Apache in civilian territory like a maniac!

21) What is 6's secret?
... uh... I'll make one up... he thin...

In it is an article of the list of things that scares him, calling them "bears".

No, this is not chain-mail, I'm writting this under my own power ^_^;;; Ya don't hafta do this if ya don't wanna, but I'd like ta. Anyway, here is a top ten list of my worst fears and why:

10. DEATH - Who is NOT afraid of death? XD I'm afraid of death because there is so much I want to do with my life and I don't want it to be over. Plus, I have no idea where I'll go afterward. Heaven, hell, or do we just rot in the ground and enter into a world of nothingness for eternity?

9. PUBLIC SPEAKING - I'm not a good speaker, even if I know exactly what to say. I have a stuttering problem and I don't have a good speaking voice to begin with. I'm afraid of standing up in front of everyone and making a fool out of myself. In fact, "public speaking" is ranked as the number one worst fear amongst humans. Sure, I'm afraid, but on a lighter sense, other could get a little entertainment. There were times where I was watching someone give a public speech and I've giggled at his mistakes and stutters. You have too, right?

8. CLOSED-IN SPACES - The fear of closed in spaces kinda related to being afraid of confinement of movement. I'm scared of entering a closet or falling in a pile of blankets and I realize that everything around me is so closed up that I can't move my arms. I had a nightmare once where I was crawling in an underground tunnel. The circumferance of the tunner was no larger than a foot and a half. All of a sudden, I got stuck and couldn't move my body except my head. I was thankful it was a dream because I was scared out of my mind!

7. LOSS OF A FRIEND- When I mean "loss," I mean I have a fear of the phrase "I don't wanna be your friend anymore." I hate loosing friends that I've grown attached to. I guess when Toni and I were together, my fear was of her breaking up our relationship with me... now I realize my REAL fear is Toni, or anyone, breaking up their friendship with me.

6. AWAY FROM HOME - When I was a kid and I was "forced" to go to school, I was VERY happy to be home. All my life, and somewhat still today, I feel very safe being within the boarders of my house. That's why I don't have a job because I don't feel safe being outside my house. All my major problems in my life happened when I wasn't at home. However, the only way I feel safe and not be at home is if I had a firearm with me and the proper fighting training on how to use it. Until then, one of my fear is being outside my home.

5. BESTED IN A FIGHT - I'm not afraid to fight if my purpose is correct, but I am afraid of getting beaten in a fight by anyone. I'm even afraid of a little girl shorter than me taking me down because I don't know their fighting skills until I've actually started a conflict with one. I know some people who take martial arts so I know not to fight them and I know some who know jack about fighting and I'm not afraid to fight them. I guess I'm afraid of being thrown to the ground because I could be embarrased by it or the person besting me could do whatever they wanted, such as kill me.

4. DRIVING - I'm not afraid of being in a car, I'm afraid of being behind the wheel. Every time I saw my parents drive, I always believed only experts at that can drive, but after I realize driving school was easy, then anybody could drive. I'd be more safe about it if a large group of people attend driving school, classes last for almost five years, and only 10% pass (though that's stupid, I know). I'm afraid that I'm driving down one lane, a car is coming to me on the other lane... then the second we both cross over, I hear a crash and start spinning out of controll, seeing blurs. The worst part was, I never saw it coming.

3. ANIMAL BITE - That has been a fear of mine ever since I was little. I was always afraid of any of my body parts ending up inside of an animal's mouth. For instance, it's very painful, I could lose a finger, or worse... the animal might be infected with rabies or any other virus. However, strangely, I always let Roxy nibble on my fingers whenever she got a hold of them. I think it's because I knew her, knew she was healthy, and her bites always tickled. One time, a Guinea pig bit my finger tip and I jerked back in fright, my heart was racing at top speed.

2. CLOWNS - I have Caulrophobia, which is a fear o...

That's right, two years ago, I started reading a Stephen King novel called "The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger" and I was hooked on it. After I was done, I read the next novel in the seven-novel series:

The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger
The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three
The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands
The Dark Tower IV: Wizard & Glass
The Dark Tower V: Wolves of the Calla
The Dark Tower VI: Song of Susanah
The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower

The next one was longer than the previous but more interesting ^_^ It took Stephen King a span of 22 years to write, but it was worth it XD

Now, as for the infamous ending that pretty much everone hated... *growls* WHY, Mr. King? Why out of all other possible endings, it had to be like THAT??? *sighs* Well, ya did give us a word of warning about it ahead of time. Yeah, literally, after the epilogue, ya get the true ending. In the section before it, King writes a warning to close the book because no one will like how it will end. I was curious and continued... oy, I should've closed the book!

... HOWEVER... the ending wasn't what anyone wanted... BUT it did make sense! He did point out that that was the only way it could've possible happened, and I do agree... plus, it wasn't something I was expecting XD Eh, that's Stephen King for you! LOL

Now that I'm done reading the series, I'll move on to his other books. Everyone suggested, at the bus terminal, that "The Stand" was his best one, so that's next on my list! Well, gunna go now. Bye bye

I'm pretty angry at deviantART lately for removing a lot of my pics for stupid reasons. I can understand some, but removing my "Dark Tower" pics because of copyright problems? ... Well,dA, let me tell you, if you actually LOOKED at those pictures, you'll notice I put the copyright fine print at the bottom! You only proved to me that you're illiterate and you judge pictures in only a second! In responce to that, all the pics you remove from my gallery, I'll only upload them again within 24 hours... oh, wanna ban me? I'll just create a new account and start over. I'll just keep doing it over and over again.

... basically, the only way the people at dA will stop me is if they come to my house and kill me.

Determined, am I XD Anyway, now that I'm cooled down, I'm gunna be posting old past artworks of mine, no matter how crappy they are.

Oh, and I'll be starting my summer classes (well, just one class) on Monday.

And, one more thing to I finally got "The Movies: Stunts & Effects"!!! Yup, it FINALLY came in the mail today ^_^ I ish so happy!

To those who don't know, the Ghost Recon series is a series of games created by Tom Clancy, which involves the U.S. Army's most elite Special Forces unit, known as the "Ghosts." ... okay, so the Ghosts are fictional, but even us gung-ho warfighters can have an imagination, too LOL

What's cool about this is that there are four main characters who are the Ghosts... who can I cross-cast them as? Well... how about "The Furry Commandos" XD
So, uh, basically, when yer tagged, you say six random, yet secret, things about yourself then tag six other random people. I'll try to say some things that no one knows about me.

1. I am an Athiest
2. I have Caulrophibia... fear of clowns

3. I am bisexual and I love looking at both genders of hentai, I personally don't like real-life human porn

4. Years ago, I used to have a stubborn and rage problem. I got rid of it by checking out stress control sites and developing a huge sense of humor... now I've got a comic problem ^_^;;;

5. I love guns... I REALLY love guns. My parents won't let me join the National Rifles Association, though 'cause they hate guns

6. I have a huge fear of driving because I'm afraid of collision with other cars or obstacles, and they look unavoidable (I'm convinced that all drivers I know make it look too easy)... I personally wanna take to the skies

Well, that's it ^_^;;; Anyway... I shall tag...
For those who don't know, she's been a daycare provider for six years. I wouldn't mind it... except she held it in our house! So, basically, she's always home, and the place is full of little babies running around. So, throughout the six years, my sister and I have been restricted from certain places of the house and had to stay silent during the kids' nap time. Also, while she was alive, Roxy had to stay in the basement with me until all the kids left.

Recently, my mom recieved a new kid... an infact who cries without end! Finally, she said, "Ryan, I've decided to close down my business for good." When I heard that, I was like... YAY! Finally! No more screaming wake-up calls, no more tiny feet pounding from the ceiling of my bedroom, no more restriction from the TVs because 'the kids are using it,' and no more staying silent in the afternoon!

My mom found a new high-paying job with a few of my aunts, so that means there will be times when both my parents and sister will be outta the house for long periods of time ^_^ I'll finally get some freedom.

... okay, I'm not 100% happy. There are some down sides to it. I kinda grew attached to a few of the kids (not a lot, but like two or three). Some were cute and well-behaved, some were huge Sonic fans, and one time, one of them came to me and said, "Ryan, I gotta go potty!" and I helped him out while my mom was exausted. Besides the kids, my mom wont be making mucho-money in her new job as much as she did during her daycare.

In conclusion, my mom will disban her daycare and I'll get the freedom I've missed so much, but I'll still miss some parts about it. This will all take effect April 16th, that's in 30 days. See ya.

I'd like to announce that I have finally beat the story modes of "Sonic Riders." And, lemee tell ya, it was frustrating at first, but now it's very easy.

First off, the into video is in cell-anime animation, which was pretty cool and intense. When I first started to play the game, I went for a normal race, where I played as Sonic in the Metal City track. I'll be honest... I STUNK! I came in 8th place FAR behind the last racer. I realized I had to do better. The more I played it, the more I got used to the tracks. Today, I am familiar with all the tracks in story mode. It will be no surprise to me if I come in first or second place. That's what I advise to anyone. Play all the tracks until you get used to the feel and the controls. Eventually, you'll keep on coming in first. Once you believe you're used to it, then start story mode. Only the Heroes story is avalable.

As for the STORY of "Sonic Riders" ... it was very differen compared to the previous Sonic titles. No fighting, no dead robots/bodies, no shooting, just fast-paced racing. It starts with a good CG video of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles searching for a Chaos Emerald only for it to be grabbed by the Babylon Rogues. Then we get a non-CG cutscene of Eggman (voiced by the well-talented Mike Pollock) of his announcement of the EX World Grand Prix, and showing the curent contestants. When Sonic saw Jet on the screen, first time we see his face in the game (he had goggles on in the CG movie), Sonic went wide-eyed. When you play as the Babylon at the end, it starts with a hillarous non-CG cutscene of the Babylon Rogues arguing and showing Storms true stupidity XD When they argue, they weren't arguing over serious issues, nope... they were squabiling like little kids... makes me wonder if they're kids barely potty trained in adult bodies XD

Lemee tell ya what made this game different from the previous games. For starters, it's genre! Sure, there was already a racing game, but the story made it worth-while. It's not an action-adventure game... it's a COMEDY!!! That's right! This game was more laugh-a-minute than stressfull and intense. Most of the humor was expressed by the characters facial expressions... and lemee tell ya this, this game went passed the envelope when they were showing facial expressions XD Sonic Team did a superb job showing how scared, annoyed, and angry the characters were. For example, in Amy's introduction, her eyes literally sparkled and she winked at Sonic, Sonic's reply was a grossed-out face, which Sonic team did a great job animating and expressing.

Not only were the expressions funny, but some of the things mentioned were. In one scene, Wave was pacing nervously while Jet was relaxing. Wave was giving Jet a lecture of responcibility. Literally, when Wave spoke, her voice was in a fast-track and Jet looked annoyed XD He snuck away during her lecture. By the very end, after defeating the boss at the end of the Babylon story (there was no Last story) Eggman demanded everyone to hand him the treasure... in reply, Sonic and Jet looked at each other and they both tried not to laugh. Eggman wondered what was so funny... he got his answer when Sonic handed him the "treasure." Eggman's speech about the JUNK was hillarous. I was rolling on the floor while he was speaking.

The music was superb. I was expecting stilly cart-racing music, but instead, I got intense, non-annoying soundtracks. The opening theme was okay, but it didn't have much lyrics, it was all just "Gonna hear you, Sonic Speed. Riding on the waves of Super Sonic." And it loops. The ending theme, "Catch me if you Can" was more enjoyable, really fitting the mood of hard-ass riders. By the lyrics, it sounded like Sonic and Jet were taunting each other, which added more influence to the characters point of view of the game rather than the player's. In one cut-scene, Tails was explaining about the Babylon Rogues, all the way back to ancient history (which, by the most part, was historically acurate). The music was like a mix between Tikal's theme and the music from "Princess Mononoke."

Speaking of ancient history, there was a group known as Babylonians centuries ago. When Tails was explaining about them, I did some minor research and realized most of his explaining (minus the extreme gear techniques) were historically accurate. As for the island itself... well, ever heard of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon... one of the seven wonders of the world? Well, the Babylon garden looks exactly like that. That...

A lotta things happened this week with my GameCube. Here they are:

- My mom got me "Madden 2003" 'cause I told her I wanted a football game.

- I ACCIDENTALLY deleted my "Sonic 'Heroes" file on my memory card... DAMNIT!!!

- I went to the mall to get "Sonic Riders" but their stock didn't come in yet so I got "Sonic Adventure 2 Battle" instead.

- The next day they didn't have it again so I got a 251 memory card.

- I finally beat the game "Second Sight" and it was kick-ass! XD (it came with the GameCube)

- ... believe it or not, I finally got ALL A's on "Shadow the Hedgehog"! I unlocked Expert Mode, which wasn't that hard, just confusing at some points. Oh, and I beat Expert Mode ^_^

- Finally, I went to the mall and got "Sonic Riders"! YEAH, BABAY! Lemee tell ya, it's hard because ya gotta play against eight racers and ya gotta win one of the top three or the first in order to progress. It's hard at some points, so I advice playing several races in normal mode before you go to story mode. As for story mode, the voices are the last things I notice. The graphics are cool, they REALLY show facial expression XD I just love the scene where Tails was explaining how an airboard works and Knux was getting annoyed XD His eyes balls rooled around his head until he snapped XD And I love the argument between Knux and Storm ^_^;;; Funny! Overall, it's a hard game for those who are new to racing games (like me, I'm only good at Sonic action, 1st/3rd-person shooters, and sports). "Sonic Riders" is unlike all other Sonic games. It can be frustrating... *as Wonda* ... but it's worth it.

XD So, that's my news on my GameCube. I'm hoping to get "Sonic Adventure DX" and the Sonic Mega Collection someday (I already have the Sonic Gems Collection)

If you're still reading this, that means ya cared XD Doesn't mean yer not bored, though XD I'm Ryan Perreault, signing off

Mood: Festive
Listening to: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Reading: Stephen King's "IT"
Watching: National Lampoon's "Christmas Vacation"

Well, it's that time of the year again... that's right, it's CHRISTMAS TIME!!!

As some of you all know, two years ago, I started a special Christmas countdown inspired by Lisa Echidna's Christmas advent calendar on her site. My countdown contained Sonic the Hedgehog characters, both official and fan-made, singing various Christmas songs, counting down the 25 days until Christmas. I posted those pictures on my NetRaptor art account in 2003.

In 2004, I posted those pictures on my new deviantART account, which can all be found here in my gallery. Like I said, some of the pictures contained fan characters. In the middle of 2004, I lost several friends very quickly and they were part of my countdown. I had to draw pictures to replace them, with new characters and new songs.

Now, in 2005, I'm planning on doing the countdown again, keeping the tradition alive. However, this time... it will all be different. You see, in recent months, I've been inspired and brainwashed into the Dragonball/Z/GT world by a woman who shall remain unnamed... coughTonicough! So, now, thanks to her, I'm doing a whole new countdown. I would re-do the Sonic countdown, but since those pics are already on my gallery AND I don't wanna delete them and repost them, I'm doing a whole new set this year. Besides, if I were to re-do the Sonic countdown, and everyone has seen them, that would completely ruin the element of surprise. The surprise is... who will be next? And what song will come?

So, in conclusion, this new set of the Christmas countdown will contain Dragonball/Z/GT characters. Please, do not request a character to sing a song because I already made my list and am half-way done with drawing them. The good thing is, all characters are official, meaning no fan-characters and no replacing them if I lose a friendship like last year. Also, not only will there be a whole new set of 25 pictures with 25 Dragonball characters, but a whole new set of 25 songs never-before-used in my Sonic countdown, both current and replaced.

So, please, check in on my gallery every day and check out the new picture slot counting down the 25 days until Christmas. As like the Sonic countdown, the text formats and coloring will be identical, as will be the Dragonball characters drawn, inked, and colored with colored pencils.

Enjoy yourselves and have a wonderful and Merry Christmas coming in 25 days.

Merry Christmas everybody!

The following takes place between 8:35am and 9:25am Eastern Standard Time on the morning of November 8th, 2005. My name is Ryan Perreault... and this was the longest 50 minutes of my life:

Mood: Exausted in Pain
Listening to: Jackson Browne - "Running on Empty"
Reading: Stephen King's "The Dark Tower V"
Watching: "Black Hawk Down"

The Feeding Hills public bus stopped at the Springfield Bus Terminal in the center of Springfield, Massachusetts. About a mile or two away is S.T.C.C. (Springfield Technical Community College), better pronounced as "stick." My name is Ryan Perreault, and I got off the bus at 8:20am. I headed to the G3 bus, which usually takes me directly to STCC I got on, flashed my bus pass, and took a seat. After traveling for about five minutes, I noticed the neighborhood around me looked different. I told the bus driver if we were going to STCC, but he said it was a DIFFERENT G3 bus. He let me off on Carew Street, telling me that the G3 bus would come and take me to college. That was at about 8:25am.

I waited ten minutes and no bus came. I was under the assumption that I missed it. I checked the schedule on the bus stop sign and I was right. I decided to take matters into my own hands. Hey, if I was able to run a mile every week for three years in CAP, jog a total of five miles every few days to a video store and back all summer long, and run home two miles from the high school after my parents forgot to pick me up after my SAT's, then I can handle getting to STCC on foot! Besides, I had a class at 9:30 and I didn't wanna miss it. So, at exactly 8:35am, I started jogging, carrying my bag of books, my boonie hat, and wearing sneaker-like boots... on that moment, I just entered hell and it lasted fifty minutes.

After reaching the end of Carew Street, I met a crossing guard, and I asked direction to STCC. He looked at me oddly and said it was about three miles away, so he gave me directions, which included: going down a street, passed an intercection, go down a hill, passed "The Whole Dounut," cross a highway bridge, go UP a hill, pass "M.J.'s Pizza," take a right at the fork in the road, and that is STCC.

I continued jogging down the street like he asked. Once I got to the intersection, I met another crossing guard and he updated me on the directions, 'cause I have a short term memory. I crossed the intersection and continued my long trek. Once I saw a hill, I knew I was on the right track. I quickly allowed gravity to pull me down the hill at an incredible speed. At the bottom of the hill, I was lost and scared, and wet from sweat... but then I looked over and noticed "The Whole Donut." I ran inside to ask for directions. They updated me and I was on my way... well, after a brief minute for me to learn that I had to PULL the door open instead of pushing.

I checked my watch and I was running out of time. Class started in a half an hour! I dashed across the streets until I got to a rotary. I was scared, not knowing what to do. However, the update told me to cross a bridge. I thought it was a river bridge, but he meant a highway bridge. I crossed it and ran UP a hill. It was tiring on my feet. During the slow jog uphill, I noticed a STCC bus heading out of a convenience store. I carefully studied which direction it went and followed it.

The STCC bus was out of service, so I couldn't board it. After chasing it up hill... I lost the bus. I had no lead... well, that was until I saw a building labeled "M.J.'s Pizza." I knew I was still on the cource. I crossed the intersection and asked another guy for directions. He didn't update me... he said, "Follow that girl, she's going right toward STCC." I looked at the girl and she was walking calmly and slowly... that means STCC was close by!

I ran down the street and... across the street... in perfect view... IT WAS SPRINGFIELD TECHNICAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE!!!

I didn't need to follow the girl anymore, I DASHED passed her happily and ran to the front gate. After getting inside, I passed the four buildings to the bulding on my class. There, I met some friends and I told them about my adventure. One of them said, "Ryan, don't tell me you came from Carew Street to here on foot!" ... and I replied with, "Okay." I checked my watch, and it was 9:25am., five minutes before class. I took the elevator up, got to my class, and plonked myself down. I finally got out of hell, thus officially ending my fifty minutes in hell.

So, here is the moral of the story. I learned that there are more than one routes for busses and that I must take my time to understand EXACTLY which bus I get on before boar...

At around 6 am on this day, Wednesday, July 13, 2005... my Shih Tzu, Roxy, has passed away.

Every night, I let her sleep in my bed and I would cuddle with her, pet her, and let her sleep anywhere. Last night, she slept on the end of the bed. When I woke up, I petted her and she didn't move. I listened to her chest and didn't hear a heartbeat and she felt a little chilly.

She was practically everything to me. I loved her as much as if she was my own daughter. Out of all of us here, I spent the most time with her. I remember we got her during the summer of 1992. After I came back from Riverside (now Six Flags) amusement park with my daycamp, I came home and saw her inside our home for the first time. Well, I saw her at the pet store.

I have so many memories of her but I don't wanna waste space on my journal entry to explain it. Recently, she's been skinny and slow. I knew it was coming soon and, well, it's happened.

Even though her body is dead, her spirit is still here with me. I know that she's looking down at me as I type this. The best thing is that she died naturally, not put to sleep, and that she lived a happy and spunky life for all her 13 years she's been with us. Usually, Shih Tzu's are indoor house dogs, not really play-dogs. However, for her, she lived a better life than most Shih Tzu's.

My mom asked if maybe someday in the future, we should get another pet. I don't know if I should, because I personally feel like getting a new pet is like "replacing" your old pet, so I don't think I'll be getting a new one. I've just grown so attached to her over the dacade.

Roxy, I love you very very much. You will still always be with me, giving me those face-kisseys and jumping on me like you always did. I'll miss you, and there is no way I'll ever forget you. You will always be a part of me.

Good-bye.

All december, I've had no flying due to bad weather and holidays. Now, I'm back in my flying. And this flight lesson was different.

Ya see, I was flying the Cessna 172, which is a four-seater plane. I was able to bring someone with me, so I brough my neighbor, the woman and her, now deciest, husband are the ones that got me the lessons I was longing for. I brought up Lu Parchick-Cauley with me, and so was my instructor, Michael Foy. Well, I did the pre-flight and before take-off checklists... on my own... I took off... on my own... and we did some basic maneuvering very well... on my own...

... and I made my VERY FIRST LANDING... ON MY OWN!!!

The landing was pretty good. I alligned the plane up and fixed the mistakes without Foy telling me. I was just right, not too high, and not too low, just right ^_^

We landed and I taxied back, and Lu said I was incredible. The best part was, Michael didn't di anything! ^_^ He directed me what to do, but he didn't touch the controls. At this point, I'm pretty fluent with pre-flight and take-offs. Gotta learn how to steppen turns when dealing with winds, but I did pretty well.

6 lessons down, and a LOT to go. Eh, I'll get my licence someday. I'm hoping to get at leased 20 to 30 lessons done by the end of the year.

So, see ya'll in the skies ^_^

Yup, I had another flying lesson... but one was different.

Ya see, Michael told me to take the books and do the exterior inspections of the aircraft while I wait for him. So, I left for the plane, a Cessna 150, and did all of the exterior inspections... I even got the plane ready for pre-flight. Finally, Michael arrives, saw the plane, and said it looks great and prepared... but that's not the shock!

We got in, buckled up, and I did all the things I had to do to start the plane, and Michael didn't remind me about anything. So, I incrased the throttle and taxied to the runway, and took off!

We flew to the training area and to a highway. My lesson was to make turns in high-wind. So, I turned the plane in S-moves around the highway, keeping the same distance in every move, and lined the wings parallel to the runway. I did this continuously and started heading back to the airport...

... here comes the shock:

As we were flying back to the airport, Michael, my instructor, held up his hands and said, "Hey, Ryan, did you know that, ever since we taxied to the runway, I never touched the controls at all?"

O_O ... OMG!!! "Mike, are you saying I did all of that flying... ALL BY MYSELF???"

What a shock! I was surprised, it was SO COOL! I taxied, took-off, and did the hard-to-do S-turns around the highway (and did a great job at it) without any assistance! The only times Michael did have control of the aircraft was when we landed. It was SOOO COOL!!! I even remember saying, "Who's Chuck Yager now?" LOL (On my first lesson, Michael said that not everyone will be like Chuck Yager on their first times.)

I can't wait to get back up in the sky again! 3 lessons down... 37 to 57 to go to get my VFR Private Pilot's licence. Wish me luck.

Oh yeah! Today, I had my very first flight lesson at Barnes Municipal Airbort! XD They have a flight school there called Cheris Air, and I got enrolled in.

Anyway, today, I had my first lesson, and my instructor said I did a great job. First, I had a few lessons on aircraft maneuverability in the "classroom" (more like a table, two chairs, and an airplane model LOL), so I learn the basics of lift, drag, gravity, and thrust. Finally, we got ready and learned about the aircraft iself on the Cessna 150.

After ground check, my instructor, Mike, and I got in the cockpit and performed our pre-flight checklist... and we started to taxi out.

Finally, I took off into the skies. He let me take control of most of the flight. I performed my turns correctly, he even mentioned that I did them smoother than his other students who've been learning longer than I have (LOL)!

Okay, there's one con in my flying... I have a tough time staying with the VSI (Vertical Speed Indicator) correctly, but we'll brush up on that.

Now, here's a little bad note. 40 minutes within the flight, I started to get light-headed and stomach cramps. Mike took over the rest of the flight. When we got to the ground, we foudn out that the headache was caused by the weight of the headset I was using, so we're gunna get a lighter one, and the stomach ache was caused by my lack of nutrition 12 hours before the flight.

Other than that, Mike said I did a very good job and even mentioned that getting my private pilot's licence will be a breeze for someone with the smarts like me XD ... on flying, that is...

I hope my next lesson (hopefully next Saturday) will be a lot better... not that it was bad, but hope I get to do a lot more stuff.

Wish me luck, ya'll... I'm gunna get my Private Pilot's licence soon... and then, I'll fly to meet all ya! *evil grin*

I did it AGAIN! I finished reading the second book in the Dark Tower series... five more books to go.

Anyway, this is the story of The Drawing of the Three:

Hours later on the beach, Roland wakes up and sees a bunch of lobsters coming to him. One bit of his right index and middle finger, and another took his toe. To make matters worse, some of his bullets are wet. But he scaped, not before taking some of their venim.

Anyway, Roland fled across the beach and he finds... a door? A door in the middle of nowhere. Labled on the door is "The Prisoner." He opens it and sees the POV of Eddie Dean, the man on the prisoner card! He sees he's a heroin addict. Roland enters his mind and makes him escape off a plane and too a man named Balazar.

At Balazar's place, Roland enters Eddie's world and a whole gunfight breaks out! Eddie fights butt-naked and Roland shoots left-handed. They eventually kill all the druggies and notice Eddie's bro, Henry, was murdered. Without anyone left, Eddie and Roland head back to Roland's world and he drew one of the three.

Roland and Eddie travel across the beach and they see another door labeled "The Lady of the Shadows." So, Roland enters to meet a woman named Deeta Walker... or is it Odetta Holmes? O_o ... same body, but a skitzofrenic, AND her legs are gone, so she's in a wheelchair. Odetta Holmes is a nice person, and is in love with Eddie... but Detta Walker is a mean, grouchy, racist bitch! Roland drew two of the three.

Roland, Eddie, and Detta travel across the beach for the next door. Detta is tied in the chair and tries to slow down the two, but fail every attempt. Finally, Odetta takes the body again. Speaking of bodies, Roland is getting sicker and sicker.

FINALLY... The three find the last door labeled "The Pusher." Eddie tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge. The two decide to wait for Roland.

That morning, Eddie gives Odetta the guns and sets out to find Roland. He carried Roland to the door... but Odetta is GONE!!! O_O Doesn't matter, Roland enters the door and appears in the body of Jack Mort... Jack Mort is the guy who killed Jake Chambers, dropped the brick on Odetta, and caused Odetta to loose her legs in the train accident.

In Roland's world, Eddie fell asleet and Detta kidnapped him, tied him, and threw him on the beach. When it's sundown, the lobsters will come and kill Eddie.

Back with Jack Mort, Roland made him enter a cab and go to a gunshop. There Roland tricked a couple cops into the store, made them fall onconscious, and took the bullets he needed. Then he ran to a drug store to get medicine for his sick body. There, the cops came and he escaped again. Jack, with Roland in his mind, was forced to drive to the train station. There, a cop appeared and shot Jack... luckily he had a lighter that saved his life and stopped the bullet. Rolnd made Jack run to the subway, jump in front of the train, and escaped his body just in time to watch Jack die.

Roland, with the new ammo and guns, found Eddie in the beach. He tried to help him, but the lobsters surrounded him.

Odetta's and Detta's mind fought a power struggle to take control of the body. Finally, Odetta won permanetly and became a third woman... Susannah!

Susannah saved Roland and Eddie from the lobsters and ran off. Roland started to feel better, Eddie and Susannah fell in love, and Roland knew he was closer to the Dark Tower... he'll get there... he will...

The End!

Whew! That was long! ^_^ So, I can't wait to begin reading the third book, "The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands." I heard this one has a train in it.

Now, I got FIVE books ta go:

The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands
The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass
The Dark Tower V: Wolves of the Calla
The Dark Tower VI: Song of Susannah
The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower

Wish me luck ^_^ *picks up "The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands" and starts reading* O_O YIKES!!! A GIANT MECHANICAL BEAR???

I know none of ya'll would care...

But I finally finished reading Stephen King's "The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger"! XD YAY!

The story is basically simple. It's kinda like "cowboys & Indians" dated into the year 3050 (give or take) with different worlds:

Roland, the gunslinger, meets Brown as a dwelling shop and he mentions that he's looking for "the man in black." Brown says he passed by a while ago and into the town called Tull. Roland goes there.

Roland enters Tull and meets a waitress there, named Soobie. Soobie mentions that the dark man was there.

FLASHBACK:
The man in black entered the restaurant and ressurencted the dead man named Nort.

Roland goes off again to get some supplies. On his way, he hears a group of church goers, led by Sylvia Pittson, and they chant about finding and killing "the interloper!"

Roland goes back to Brown and asks what's beyond the desert. Brown doesn't know... so Roland goes to see.

Roland leaves and comes back to Tull. To his surprise, the entire town of Tull goes after him to kill him... however, Roland, whom is a gunslinger, has shot and killed all of the members of Tull since they were all gunna kill him.

Roland travels across the desert and heads to a Way Station. There, he met a 9-year-old boy named Jake Chambers. Roland rescues Jake from a speaking deamon and they both journey off across the desert. Along the way, Roland made Jake tell him about the past.

FLASHBACK:
Jake lives in NYC. On his way to school, he has found the man in black and he kills Jake... then Jake appeared at the Way Station.

FLASHBACK:
Roland and his friend, Cuthbert, spy on a cook, named Hax, explains that he's gunna send poisoned meat to children. Roland and Cuthbert squeal on him and Hax is hung.

Roland and Jake cross the desert and make it to the mountains. He finds Jake has wondered to an alter and saves him from a succubus. Roland confronts the succubus and she explains that Roland's fate is the number "three." (Note: Notice the title of the second book.) He will encounter three people along the way:
1. a dark haired young man afflicted by heroin
2. a woman on wheels
3. and a man in chains
In addition, Roland must sacrifice Jake to continue.

So, Roland and Jake climb over the mountains and past a waterfall. There... they met the man in black!!! He tells Roland not to kill him because "would you kill all your answers that easily?" And his dissapeared into a cave.

Roland and Jake followed him into the cave, which got darker and darker.

FLASHBACK:
Young Roland must pass a test to be a gunslinger like his father, he must beat Cort to a fight. He chose a hawk, David, as his weapon. While David destracted Cort, Roland made his blows and beat Cort. Cort awarded him as a gunslinger.

Soon, Roland and Jake find a handcar and a set of tracks. They crank it and roll down the tracks. Along the way, they encountered the "Slow Mutants!" These mindless menacing mutants tried to kill the two, but they got away.

Roland and Jake appeared at an underground isolated train station. Roland stole a bow and arrow. Jake said he heard the conversation with the succubus, the oracle, and offered to be left alone to die... but, as Roland pulled away, Jake followed him.

The two make it the light at the end of the tunnel where they meet the man in black again! This time, Jake fell down a pit and died. The man in black saw the gunslinger head to him, but mentioned that he has information.

Later on, Roland and the man in black have a conversation about what the universe really is. It is actually binded all together by one portal... one place... The Dark Tower! Roland must get there. Along the way, the man in black mentioned that he will be faced with a power of the "drawing." (Note: Notice the title of the second book.)

Roland awoke alone and notinced he was ten years older. He destined himself to find and get to the Dark Tower to face the ultimate battle... The End.

Whew!!! That story was AWESOME! 216 pages and I'm DONE! ^_^ Now, I gotta read the next six books:

The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three
The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands
The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass
The Dark Tower V: Wolves of the Calla
The Dark Tower VI: Song of Susannah
The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower

Wish me luck ^_^ You have no idea how much I'm enjoying this book series! I highly recomend it to anyone who likes westerns, cowboys & Indians, science fiction, and fantasy mixed together... or if yer a hardcore...
