I know it's been a few days since the con ended, but I was too busy wallowing in post-con depression to make a journal. Oh yeah, and I was just still really tired. BUT HERE IT IS. Just sit right there, and let me tell you a story abou- Wait, Will Smith isn't here.

So this convention started on thursday, like any other convention for me. I packed up my things and after a wild goose chase to find specific con-rations, I made my way up to 's house. After arriving somewhat late, we went to continue our quest for the appropriate rations, then made our way to ihop, where she ordered like... 14 different drinks. Water, hot chocolate, coffee and such. It made me giggle. We eventually found our way back to her house were we spent a good couple hours styling wigs, repacking suitcases - neither which worked the way we wanted to. So we just retired.

We originally intended to get up at 11, but somehow we both woke up like... before 8 am. So after killing a few hours, we decided to just go ahead and leave early. Good thing we did, because there was a lot to get done. After picking up and running several errands, ~Thirteen13XIII and dropped me off at the con to meet my pals and . I was so excited to see them, but they somehow still managed to sneak up on me!

So I checked into the hotel room, we dragged all of our stuff in and laid claim to our respective spots. After unpacking and making sure everything was orderly... It was time for dinner~! With ~Thirteen13XIII and ~ArcadiaEclipse still out, ~thru-apeture-eyes, ~Morijana and I headed off to King of Prussia mall, where we found... and . So with a Xemnas, Xigbar, Marluxia, Larxene and a Demyx... We headed to fridays to eat. Out of cosplay, of course. We couldn't risk getting dirty! Yummy food, burgers, nachoes and other stuff.

After that, mall and sparkly pink pants. Finding and friends at Fridays, going back in to say hi. Eventually we made our way back to the hotel room, Mar and Xem went home, but ~zombiedodge followed us back. And we picked up the stray and my Demyx II/Kelsey~! But this journal is getting too long already, and the convention hasn't started. Let's just say, while I don't know what the guys were doing, the girls were trying to blow up an air-mattress with a dying pump, before I decided to fall off the bed (is anyone reading the whole thing). Let's just say, it was a fun night. But sadly, everyone had to go home at one point. So Xig, Larx, Axel/Saix/Xemnas/Ray and I went to bed.

SATURDAY MORNING.

We all woke up early. Well, the girls did. Xigbar didn't seem like such a fan. It was about 7:30 or so when us girls rolled out of our rooms in casual org cosplay to go stand in the registration line. Ray (as Saix this time) was smart enough to preregister. Larxene, Xigbar and I were not. That was all fine. With only 200 spots open before they reached their cap, we had to hop in line about an hour and a half early. No problem, right? Okay guys, so Zenkaikon is in a few days, and I couldn't be more excited! After going through hell and back with this convention last year (I ended up having to leave early), I am determined to make this an absolutely amazing good time!

Once again, I will be rooming with my beloved friends, , , and . We had such a blast at Anime Boston, of course we have to do so again. My friend from school will be with us too, so she'll keep us in check. And ~Thirteen13XIII will be driving me and my pal up, so we can chill a bit too! But I am so terribly excited. I was hoping to have my new cosplay done in time, but I haven't even started, so it looks like it will just be Demyx this time~! Perhaps I shall bring Olette or Maria, though both need repairs so we shall see.

Demyx, however, is a certain, so if any of you are going, make sure to take a glance at my Demyx photos so you can say hi. I love to meet people from DA, so if you see me, just come right up and introduce yourself! I'm really friendly, most of the time, and it will save me from Xig and Larx for a bit!

Kiriban

My 10,000th view Kiriban is fast approaching, and for this I've decided to do something a little extra. In addition to a personalized, and requested photo/photoshoot, I've also decided that the winner will get a physical prize from me. Last christmas, I made my entire group Organization XIII blankets, with their number and a part of their weapons stitched onto the corner. Whoever nabs my 10,000th view will get a blanket of their choice of character. If you don't want an Org. XIII blanket and matching pillow, just let me know and I will try to make something more fitting of your tastes. I've also decided that if someone grabs 9,999 they will get their choice of either a pillow or blanket in their choice of character as well. I am really excited for this, so help me get my page views, guys!

Also, Morijana, Thru-Apeture and I were diggin' through the most popular deviations under the names of Org members. They are both on the front page, and I was joking around saying - Mine are pretty far back. So we kept digging, wanting to know what page I would eventually show up on. Mine never did, even though I had more favs and views than some of the people did on there. After 50 pages, I gave up. I know it's shallow to want to be popular like that, but why didn't I show up at all, other than in one or two of other people's photos? Is there something wrong with my submissions that won't let it show up in search? If anyone knows the answer, please let me know!

MORE

So after much careful thought and deliberation (I'm not using that word correctly, I think), I have decided that it is time for me to make my own sitar. For many months I have put it off, after seeing the absolute beauty that is ~ArcadiaEclipse's sitar. I didn't want to end up making a terrible prop, and the sitar is so tricky that there are very few decent ones out there. However, as my friends tote around all their weapons, I feel somewhat incomplete without one. So if there are any really awesome woodworkers out there who want to help me on this project, please let me know. The majority of it will be foam with a thin plywood or luan frame, but I want the details like the bridge in wood. I could use some help, guys!

Also, turns out I will be doing a mini photoshoot as Demyx at Zenkaikon. I severely lack good pictures. I bring this up for two reasons. 1. So... Happy Demyx day~! I can't believe I didn't say it earlier. Maybe cause it makes me sound so geeky.
But I had a pretty good one, except for some crazy-face who showed up at my house. Called the cops, but it's all good now.

Went out to eat with my family, DELICIOUS steak and tex mex eggrolls. Then, while I was out, I got a text from ~illogicallylogical. She was like "yo bitches, we're going to see 9, so all you hos better be there or I'll mess you up, foo'!"... Except not really like that, she's too sweet. I'd laugh if she said it like that.

Anyway, that's when I remembered - OH DANG, IT'S DEMYX DAY! So what do I do? Go home and pull out the compression shirt and wig cap, it's time to dress up~! Putting on casual Demyx, I literally SPED to the theater to meet her and our other friends - grabbed our tickets and drinks and such. As we walked in, Kristen decided that we needed to sit in the 9th row. No choice, it was a MUST. So we did. Unfortunately, I didn't get the 9th seat, BUT sitting there, I was thinking...

I am seeing "9" at 9:00 on the 9th day of the 9th month of the 9th year in the 9th row AS number IX (9/Demyx). How much more appropriate is that? Too bad it was theater 5, not 9. That would be so much cooler.

Anyway, I absolutely loved the movie. 6 and the twin (3 and 4) were SO cute! And as we were watching the credits, ~illogicallylogical leans over to me. "We're so cosplaying this." I just can't decided between one of the twins or 9. 7 and 6 are already taken, but we want the whole crew. It would be cute! AND ITCHY!

But yeah, HAPPY DEMYX DAY~!

SO. I decided to have a kiriban. Whoever catches my 10,000th view will get a prize of some sort. Don't know what yet. He had a accident involving hairspray and a torch gun (we shan't go into details) while working on his Sydney Animania cosplay. He suffered third degree burns on his ears. He didn’t go to the hospital to have it checked out because he was rushing to finish it for next weekend. It got infected, his mum finally made him go to the hospital but it was too late the infection spread all through his body and they had to remove his ears. When he heard about it, he was sent into the depths of despair because he could no longer play characters with ears... Pretty much everyone.

Today at 3am he killed himself with a jigsaw.

RIP Chris, we'll miss you.

If anyone wants to come to his funeral note *Cattypatra. It’s on the Saturday of Animania Sydney. I will not be attending, because it is unfortunately too far, however I will be cosplaying in memory of Chris. Probably Demyx from Kingdom Hearts so I can dress his corpse up as a Nobody. They don't have ears!

RIP CHRIS, I hardly knew thee!

Though it wasn't as fun as last year, I still had a good time! I got to meet alot of new people, even our new group member who I had never actually met before!

Ootoro Productions debuted our new cosplays - The Straw Hat Crew - with myself as Nico Robin. That dress was such a hassle to make! So many things kept happening, that I didn't even finish until like... 7 AM Friday morning... it was debuted on Thursday. D:

But we still had a blast! We went down to Seaport village, took alot of fun pictures that you will be sure to find at some point. I've also decided that in the future, Usopp is someone I probably would like to cosplay as well!

But really, I don't have a lot of time to update, it's my grandma's birthday. I'll write a proper update later tonight, okay?

Comic-Con San Diego starts... TOMORROW! Oh geez, I am so not ready!

Wait, what's that?

Oh right, hi guys~! Incase you weren't able to make it to the ~OotoroProductions gathering on Sunday, surprise~! I am out in San Diego now! Haha, wasn't sure I would be able to make it, but here I am, all ready for convention -

Or so I thought! There is still so much to be done, I hardly have a clue as to where to begin.

But I am very excited. I went to the zoo today, and had alot of fun taking pictures with my friends! You'll see those very soon. And tomorrow, the Host Club returns for another year at Comic-Con San Diego, as well as on friday. Thursday and Saturday will be the debut of our new group costumes, One Piece (Water 7)! Look for us!

Sunday, ~La-Tulipe-Noire and I will be hiding out in secret cosplays, but we'll definitely be around!

Comic-Con San Diego

Nico Robin was finished recently, but now I am unsure whether or not I will be able to make it to San Diego Comic-con. See, my car died recently, and I had to dip heavily into the funds for the con in order to fix it. Then a few days following, my GREAT grandfather passed away, and I again had to use con money in order to get an airline ticket for the funeral in a few days. I just can't ask my mom to pay for it entirely - she works too hard as it is. So as it stands, I have to start all over saving again. I will still try my darnest to make it out to San Diego, but we'll have to see how that works out. It's been a very trying, and difficult couple of weeks and I know that if I don't make the con, alot of people will be disappointed with me. But because of order of events, I've been out of work for over two weeks, and I am damn near broke. With bills, insurance and tuition to pay, I just don't know where I stand with that. I'm trying, really.



Otakon

This should be okay, since a friend bought me a ticket for it as a birthday present. I wasn't originally going to go to Otakon, because I really just wanted to get out to California as soon as possible. But now, airplane tickets for the time I wanted to go are way to expensive. I have a hotel room with some great people, and a grandfather who thinks cosplay is hillarious and wants to fund me. Who am I to say no? Since Otakon is now in my books, it looks like, I'll probably only be taking one or two costumes. Demyx is definitely coming, and I MIGHT bring Olette. I really want to bring Maria, but she is a somewhat large costume, and though we put her under the bed at Anime Boston, I have no idea whether or not the beds are raised at Otakon. I just don't want to bring a big costume in and inconvenience my roommates or anything.

Anyway, that's just a brief update. It's been very difficult, and somewhat stressful trying to figure things out... But I just wanted to let you all know that I really am trying my best to work things out... I really do want to be at SDCC - But the economy finally caught up with me.

Oh my goodness, there is so much to say that I don't even know where to begin!

Okay, so I honestly think that Anime Boston was the best east-coast-con experience I have ever had! Nothing will compare to Comic-Con San Diego, but that's not the point - Anime Boston was an absolute blast~!

I left for the convention on Thursday morning via Dulles Internation Airport in DC, and arrived in Boston sometime during the late afternoon/early evening. After an exciting ride on the T, and ridiculous scramble around side-walk-potholes, I finally found the Sheraton - and the Marriot was on the FAR side the mall! Some amount of walking later, I finally reached my destination, checked in, and made it up to my room!

How exciting it was when I opened the door and set my things down! I had the room to myself for about an hour or so, so I used it to shower and began to unpack my first costume. Just as I was finishing with Demyx, ~ArcadiaEclipse (Ray) called me! The next roommate had arrived, and we spent the next hour or so lugging things up to the room, claiming spaces and getting her into Saix! After all was set, we trecked down to the pre-registration badge pick-up. In, out, all within like... 2 minutes. It was actually pretty damn awesome how quickly they got us through - good job, AB staff!

Afterwards, I asked Ray to show me around the convention center a bit before it got too crowded, then we returned to the room where she finished painting Riku's keyblade and styling like.... 3-4 wigs. *Jenna-Sama621 came over for a bit and Ray helped her style Cross Marian, but eventually had to leave.

The party really started somewhere around 12:30 when my phone went off, and ~zombiedodge called asking whether or not we were staying in a firehouse (haha, you guys). We cleared that up and within 30 minutes, Ray and I were helping Xig, Lex, Mar and Larx of =AfterlifeUSEC lug their stuff up to the room. They broke my non-existant heart when they all decided to run off for booze, only to return a couple minutes later. - =Deliriouswisdom - I don't remember much else from then, except we chatted, caccooned and I dozed off.

Sometime during the night I was returned to my own bed, which is where I was woken up by Larx. Apparently Lex had woken up early and wandered down to get his badge early in the morning, and promptly alerted us! After a little mix-up with his badge, we were all through and heading back to the room to get dressed! Ray and I threw on Riku and Sora - that's right, I cosplayed Sora from Kindgom Hearts II - as the others began the long process of prepping their costumes. However, that didn't last very long as we found ~2sadsexually, ~childprey, and the rest of their Organization XIII group. That inspired us back into our own Organization XIII costumes, and after changing, we quickly caught up with the rest of our roomies. For the most part, Friday was spent camera whoring and chatting with other cosplayers~! We met up with Chibi Xaldin (~SiciLupin) and just pal'd around.

A little note? I was quickly made aware of the fact that Demyx is indeed the bitch of the Organization, and all other Kingdom Hearts characters. Not only was I told, and poked at... But the rest of the group decided that it needed to be demonstrated... Often! I actually have scrapes and
brusies from Larxene and Xigbar!

Anyway, Xig and Lex attended some awesome zombie-panel or whatever, and I really wish I had as well. Something about Con-Zombies brought up the potential cosplay of Deo-Rangers (thanks Lex)~! This will be an awesome collaboration between =Deliriouswisdom, ~zombiedodge, and a few others of us who were talking about it. I want to be a febreeze ranger.

So Saturday came bright and early for me, and I suppose I might've woken the others up as I was getting ready in my newest cosplay....

Damn right! So for all those who did not know, I will be hitting up Anime Boston this year~! I am so excited, because not only is this my first time going to Boston in itself, but I will be debuting two new costumes~! One is still a secret (that many people already know of), and the other is just a fun costume I did today for the heck of it. I think both are awesome though.

I am so stoked, since I'll be staying with the Saix (~ArcadiaEclipse) from my Organization XIII group, ~SoNoProductions. And staying with the two of us, will be members from =AfterlifeUSEC, which is also exciting because while I recently saw a few at the Cherry Blossom Festival, I haven't seen Xig or Larx since... Like, October!

Anyway, it's getting late and boy do I need my sleep, so I think it's time to wrap up this short journal! I'll be back on... Sunday night, so expect the Con-Report, photos, and Summer Plans in the next installment.

Alright, so I've finished modifying my Ouran jacket to fit better (took out the hems slightly, as well as the sleeves). Finnian (Kuroshitsuji) is almost done~! I dyed the pants today, and I am working on the boots now. Also, though many of you have seen pictures already, I'm debuting a new secret cosplay in a few weeks. Hint? D.Gray-man. AND... Hatsuharu wig is done!

Anyway, before I start on my Katsucon report, I figured I'd give a little insight as to the absolute AGONY I went through beforehand. About a week before Katsucon, I decided I was going to get my first stomach ucler! Yaaaaay! I've never had an ucler, so I had no idea that is what I was feeling. So I went for like... 5 days, before my family forced me to the hospital. It was horrible up until then. Constant burning of the stomach, with absolutely no relief. But as soon as the doctor gave me a medicine, it was like I was totally fine. I feel great now~!

KATSUCON. So I knew it was going to be crowded to begin with. Hyatt was the OLD location for Katsucon, but when it returned... I knew it was going to be hell. I just didn't realize just how bad it really was.

I arrived at the Crystal City Hyatt around 7:00 pm on Thursday night. I picked up my badge, then went to watch Ray work relentlessly on Xigbar's wig. That thing is absolutely terrifying, I tell you. When we were eating dinner in the lounge, I swear I ate a Xigbar hair. ;__; That thing hates me.

So I fell asleep in her room, then I woke up early to debut my Twilight Town Demyx costume. I personally think it turned out adorable, but for some reason I didn't take pictures of it. Eventually Ray and I met up with members of our Org group, ~SoNoProductions and we changed into our org coats. Expect those updates later. Anyway, things were fun, everyone arrived on Friday night, and after lots of hanging out and pulling out the blankets, we all pretty much retired to our respective rooms.

My room consisted of ~FlansPirateWench and ~Technicolor-Dreams from my SoNo group, and our friend/photographer ~angelx129. We also had ~zombiedodge and ~UltimaWithout (Lexaeus and Luxord of AfterlifeUSEC) stay with us. We all crawled into our respective sleeping spaces, and watched Psych for a bit. I'm pretty sure I was the first to pass out while the others watched some Friday 13th movies or whatever. I slept like a good girl. Apparently I snore slightly too.

Anyway, Saturday, we all got up early to start getting ready, and after a trip over to Ray's room... We were ready to debut our Organization! Sadly, Xemnas caught a bug and spent the whole day at home sick. We missed him, but made the best out of the situation anyway.

We were so popular there! I had alot of fun being silly as Demyx, and everyone looked so good. Thank you to all of you who took our pictures! Unfortunately, we couldn't carry our props alot, because it was so damn crowded, that even our wigs were in danger of being destroyed. So after a few photoshoots and alot of Kingdom Hearts crack, we all split into smaller groups to do our own things.

Eventually, most of us met up again for the ball. Organization XIII Nobody Nazis? We looked brilliant and had alot of fun. Despite the line for the ball, we had a blast rickrolling everyone in line. At some point after getting in, Lexaeus and I ditched the group to go change and then kick-ass in the game room. We destroyed the weaklings, that is for sure. Slept around 3:00-4:00 am.

Sunday morning was spent packing and checking out. We hit up the dealers room for some last minute sales, but eventually ~UltimaWithout and I returned home and spent the evening playing N+.

I know I got lazy with this journal, but I promise more details will come with the pictures I'll be uploading. Also, I'll be working with some of the others to update SoNo Productions, as we start our planning for our next convention. I've got to head to class, but I just wanted to let everyone know that this weekend really did help. I am feeling so much better, though there is traces of emotional pain remaining. But with the help of my friends, I am sure I shall recover quite nicely.

It's always tough losing someone, even if they are still there. To know that you've really cared and that they just can't care for you the same way. Lately I've been feeling as though I was losing the one who means the most to me, and last night my fears were realized. There was no passion in the relationship, and... I think I realized that. I was clinging to fraying threads.

Despite the lyrics in the song, I don't believe this was a waste of my time. Despite the heartache that sets in when it ends, I don't think I will ever regret giving the love I have. I cherish every moment of it, and I could never feel any other way. The only thing that bothers me is... Could I have done more?

Either way, I am not angry. I may be upset, but I am not bitter, I am not angry. I could never be angry at her for doing what she felt was right. It's cliche, but if it makes her happy I will more than happily step back, give her space and respect her wishes. I still care, and probably always will, but it is not my goal to make anyone unhappy. It hurts, yes.. But it's something that I will learn to cope with.

But that doesn't soften the ache we feel,

I'm sorry I don't have the guts to say this in person. I lack the emotional strength to do so, but please know that I am being sincere. Please don't apologize, there is nothing to be sorry for. I once asked you to always be honest to me, and if these are your true feelings, then I am grateful. I wouldn't want you to keep it going if it was making you unhappy.

As I said in "Handprint on my Heart", you have to spread your wings, leap, and be prepared to fall. Humans were never meant to fly, but never stop the urge to try. You take the triumphs with the pain... They're what make you who you are today.

I wish you every happiness, and hope that there will always be room for me in your life, even if it's watching from the sidelines. I will always care, and I will always be there, but... For now there are wounds that need mending. I need time to heal, time to pick myself back up. Damage has been done, but nothing that time won't fix. And when I am ready, I hope you will be there too.. Ready to travel a different path.. as my friend.

It is always sad when friends fight, but unfortunately it is just one of the many happenings in life. It's even worse when it escalates to a point where the two parties will never have the same relationship they had before. I am almost terrified to say that this has happened recently... I don't know what went wrong, something fell out of control...

Those of you who know me will know that I often turn to my music for comfort when something is bothering. Unfortunately for me, I found the two songs that had to really make me think things over. The first song was "For Now" from the popular, yet rather crude musical, Avenue Q.

Nothing lasts, life goes on full of surprises.. You'll be face with problems of all shapes and sizes. You're going to have to make a few compromises for now. For now...

Each time you smile it'll only last awhile. Life may be scary, but it's only temporary. Every thing in life is always for now.

No matter how hard we try, things will always change. Nothing stays the same forever, and that includes friendships. I have tried my hardest to keep this family of friends together, for we have all been through alot together, trivial or important. Time may strengthen friendships, but at the same time, it can destroy relations with those you considered family. But time itself should not be blamed. It is through human error that brought it up this time. Stupid things were said, and with a lack of understanding and communication, coupled with rage and a desire to win lead to a complete falling out.

But while the song mentioned above did sort of bring forth a bitter smile, there is always one song that never fails to touch me in some way.

Every single person who comes into a person's life will change them, whether it is fate, course of destiny, ways of life or simple ways of thinking. Who is to say what will occur if you had not met that one friend. What if they have impacted you in a way you would've never deemed possible?

I've heard it said... That people come into our lives for a reason, bringing something we must learn and we are lead to those... Who help us most to grow if we let them, and we help them in return...

Like a comet pulled from orbit as it passes the sun, like stream that meets a boulder halfway through the wood.. Who can say if I've been changed for the better... Because I knew you, I have been changed for good.

It well may be that we will never meet again in this lifetime, so let me say before we part: So much of me is made from I learned from you. You'll be with me like a handprint on my heart. And now whatever way our story ends, you know you have rewritten mine by being my friend.

Like a ship blown from it's mooring, by a wind off the sea. Like a seed dropped by a sky bird in a distant wood. Who can say if I've been changed for the better... Because I know you, I have been changed for good.

It is so hard to tell apart those who will make a severe impact on your life, and you never know where you'll find them. A classmate at school, an aunt, a teacher or friend... Or even a stranger on a trolley. Those who will touch your heart are far and few, but ever so precious. And there will never be a feeling such as losing a person in such a way. I have friends who will keep me up and continue to support me, and need my support as well. Each and every person in my life has made an impression, and despite what has and will happen, despite the cruel things they might have said and done, I am thankful to every single one of them. They have molded and built me into the person I am today.

And so I bid farewell to a friend who has chosen to go her separate way. May she be happy on the path she has chosen.

I hope you're happy, now that you're choosing this. I hope it brings you bliss, I really hope you get and you don't live to regret it. I hope you're happy in the end, I hope you're happy... my friend...

I am forever grateful, and will treasure each lasting memory.

Well, things have been doing better. Really clearing up now. A few friendships were put to the test, but I trusted my relationships and was able to work them out peacefully with those who I can call my closest friends.

So as you know, Katsucon is just up around the corner, and it's all hustle and bustle for SoNo Productions. We're on the ball now to get Organization XIII done. Our coats are in the making, and I've seen the wig our Saix (~ArcadiaEclipse) styled for me. It's amazingly adorable! I simply cannot wait to debut our new Organization XIII. If you are going, look for us, alright? And if you can't find us, go to the Kingdom Hearts photoshoot on Saturday at noon. It's located on the second story terrace, just outside the cafe.


But the real reason I have posted this journal is to share with you something that my wonderful Haru-chan (~La-Tulipe-Noire) shared with me. I am not sure how many of you are One Piece fans, but this is definitely and AMV worth checking out.

I have never been a diehard fan of AMVs, but this particular one is absolutely.... Well, it's kind of inspiring. Those of you who are familiar with Ootoro Productions will know that One Piece is our up and coming cosplay for the next Comic-Con San Diego. And those even more familiar with our group, will know that I have taken on the role of Nico Robin.

I think I originally took on this character, because at the time everyone else had already chosen, and it seemed like no other character would fit me well. At the same time, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to pull off Nico Robin well enough. While I certainly did not dislike the character, she was also never one of my favorites. But as the first few months went by, I became more interested in the character, but never really... Excited.

Haruhi changed all of that for me. She sent me this link, thinking it would be something I enjoyed. She had no idea that it was one of my favorite songs, nor did she know the impact it would leave on me.

I watched this video, not just once... but again, and again until I fell asleep. Then I woke up and watched it again and once more! It has inspired me to strive to achieve Nico Robin's gracefulness and portray her character the best I can... But that is not all this video has moved me to realize.

I believe that this video represents more than just an anime to me. It represents my friends in Ootoro Productions. We have had our difficulties just like every other group. And yet, we have always pushed forward through the confusion and haze and have come out victorious. Yes, we are still new and naive, and we will probably stay that way for years to come. But I believe I have found my true nakama with this group. I would do anything for my friends, and it's silly to think that it all begun with cosplay. I don't think words will ever do my feelings justice.

There is ~Kunihiko-Kimishima, the mother of our crazy host club, and the Captain of our crew, and the one who kind of caught my eye to the group, and I am grateful for that. Some might have realized that she is also my crazy dance partner. ~anime-artist411 and ~belongsinthesky, our devilish twins, as well as our doctor and navigator. Oh geez, how did you two get such important roles in the crew... We might be doomed. I'm kidding, you two are amazing. There is ~miguelduran, our silent friend, and quirky sharpshooter. I'm afraid I don't know you as well as I feel I should, but I hope that it is something we can eventually remedy in the future. ~recklessfolly, the newest addition to our group, Bossanova or Princess of Alabasta. I'm sad to say that we have yet to meet in person, but if you are such great friends with everyone else, I am sure we will get along famously. Then we have our great friends, including =KageII and ~joshuablah who have or will be joining us for future cosplays, but the list is so much longer than just two.

But most of all, there is ~La-Tulipe-Noire. She is my princess, my daughter, my cook, my counterpart and so much more. She is my best friend. Actually, I figured it was time for an update.

So as most people know, I've just recently finished my finals and therefore, I'm like, partying my face off. Yes, there it is on the floor. I have an entire month and a half off of school, in which I should be going to San Diego to visit my family and my wonderful ~OotoroProductions, but due to the circumstances and economy, I won't be able to make it. I am totally bummed about it, especially after ~La-Tulipe-Noire and I spent a month planning a tea party to be hosted by the Host Club, only to find out that Tamaki (myself) wouldn't be able to make it. Oh well, Daddy had to go to... France. Or something like that.

Haruhi, I wish you the absolute best! I hope everything goes well, and that there are no problems!

Instead, I think a few of us from ~SoNoProductions will be getting together to have a small Christmas party. I don't know how many yet, or what we are doing, but I think Xigbar, Xaldin, Demyx (myself) and Roxas will be doing Hayner, Pence, Olette and Roxas in a holiday form. No, not Christmas Town, but just outfits for the holidays. We all want to go see santa, so keep your eyes peeled for Santa pictures!

Also, *AfterlifeUSEC has invited me to visit them during the holidays, which I am very excited about. I've missed them greatly, and can't wait to see them again.

Katsucon is approaching on Valentines day, and ~SoNoProductions is slowly getting ready for it. My boots and corset arrived yesterday, and now I can pull of a much more "manly" look. Hehehe. Wigs are being finished and/or started, and the coats are totally on their way! We're all very stoked about looking so good. We think we'll look like an entirely new group, and it's all thanks to the combined efforts of our group members, though I'd personally like to extend a thank you to ~Technicolor-Dreams and ~ArcadiaEclipse for taking charge of coats, and wigs and props, respectively. You guys are absolutely awesome, and I don't think we'd look nearly as awesome if it weren't for your help!

Um, big snowboarding trip coming up in January for my family, we're all heading to Deep Creek Lake to the big cabin. Ski Wisp. <3

Anyway, I think that's about it, really. I don't know what else to post, but like is good and um... Yeah.

Okay, that's pretty cool I guess. I voted for McCain (and I don't care what others think), but Obama is a pretty good second choice. Yeah, I thought both candidates had their positives, and like all elections, both candidates also had their cons. I know I will have alot of people coming to me telling me that Republicans are strictly against gay rights and such, and how I am a traitor.

Y'know what? I honestly don't give a damn what other people think. Something like that can always be overturned, because it isn't constitutional. However, what we need to focus on right now is fixing our economy. In order to fix constitutional rights, we first need to make sure our economy and our country is stable enough to see any changes through. Obama is a good man, and he has alot of neat ideas for change... But he has no solid plan. And I don't want my mother, who is a single working mother and works so hard, to have to pay higher taxes to pay for my aunt and cousin who have lived off of welfare for 18 years without so much as a notion to try to help themselves.

McCain has those plans, and I agree with him. No, I am not a Sarah Palin fan, nor am I a fan of Biden. But I think that there has been alot of slamming of Sarah Palin and alot of twisted truths. Given the chance, I'm sure she can learn and do well. This is coming from someone who hated her with a fiery passion before... And as I learn more, I learn that just because she is inexperienced does not mean she is a bad running mate or vice president. She can learn through trial and error, just as we all do.

Proposition 8? I think that was an absolute joke. I am not meaning to offend anyone who voted in favor or against it, but seriously... What was the point of it? Who the hell cares if I some day might want to marry my girlfriend? What is it to anyone else? I honestly think that there are much more important issues at hand with our country failing economically, and with troops still at war in the middle east. I think that Prop. 8 was a waste of time, because I believe people should be happy with whoever the hell they want. I just wish others could see that instead of trying to push that ban on others, and spending so much on campaigning that one movement, how much we could be helping ourselves or others. Did you know that over 110,000 people filed bankruptcy last month? That's up 40% from last October. I'm sure no one's campaigns hurt there.

Personally, I am extremely disappointed in the results of Proposition 8, and slightly disappointed in the presidential elections. But I will still cheer on Obama, because he is our next president and deserves some support. Congratulations to the man for overcoming the racial barrier and exceeding his own expectations. We can only hope that he will do well in office, and do his best to help the United Americans that he serves. We are watching closely. <3

ON A LESS CONTROVERSIAL NOTE.

Lock, Shock, and Barrel made their debut on Halloween. That's right, , , and I did the adorable trick-or-treaters from Nightmare Before Christmas for ~dustbunny690's halloween party. Where have you seen those names before? Well, they are no more than SoNo's Xigbar, Xaldin and Sora! Look forward to Katsucon, where we may bring those with us. Check out ~SoNoProductions for pictures of the costumes. More are being uploaded soon.

Also, I have been becoming increasingly more interested in Naruto thanks to SoNo Productions. So Xig, Xal and I are going to stay true to our character trends and either do InoShikaChou, or three team leaders. We shall see.

So for those who haven't heard, I spent the weekend up in Pennsylvania... At the Castle~!

What is the Castle, you ask? Well, it's the home base for the members of the fabulous . I originally went up to go to Zenkaikon with several of their members, but unfortunately things happened and I was unable to make the con. However, I had plenty of fun the day and a half I was able to spend with them prior to that.

Of the things I learned, these were my favorites:

* Never sit next to Xemnas in the car
* Xaldin is the subject of all jokes, whether intentional or not
* Marluxia, Larxene and Olette make a GREAT caccoon
* Xigbar really does materialize from no where
* Xigbar vs. Xaldin equals no fair competition
* Lexaeus really likes his bangers n' mash

More will be added when I am not so tired.

Also, my roommates are idiots who are getting us kicked out of our house. Back to my mommy's place now. Hurray.

Thank you, *AfterlifeUSEC. I really appreciate that you guys invited me up to hang with you. I had plenty of fun and I really wish to see you guys again soon. Thank you so much for the time you took to spend time with me, including the transportation. I know a lot of it was last minute, but you guys were still good tempered. You all were a blast. I look forward to meeting up again!


Edit: WOW, guys! This just keeps getting funnier and worse! So now my car died (it's a good thing I didn't -drive- to Pennsylvania), and it's going to cost me $750 dollars to repair. Can I still drive it without the repairs? Yes and no. It still works, but the safety inspection sticker has expired. It can't pass the inspection without the repair... I might just cry, because I just don't have that money right now. I'm a little screwwed, guys.

Second Edit: So only moments after updating my journal with the first edit, I fell at work. The doctors think my wrist is broken and want me in for MORE xrays tomorrow. Yippee... For the record, the car shit and the broken wrist happened withing 15 minutes of each other. Someone hates me today!

SO. AUSA was an absolute blast. Care to know why?

Even if you said no, I'm telling you anyway.

So the ball was a bit boring - ~FlansPirateWench and ~ArcadiaEclipse got sent back because of their platforms. What a pain, eh? But I now know how to waltz. But I never did get to dance with Belle. We were literally four seconds into the dance, when some dude interjected and Belle went to dance with him instead. I must be a really bad dancer, eh?

But then we met up with some really cool people, made some awesome friends. Especially my favorite East Coast Ouran group.

Our Xaldin and I debuted Pence and Olette this weekend, I absolutely love it! I think if you search "Pence Olette" in here, you will find a picture of us on the second page (without sponsorship). Not the greatest, but you'll find us. Also - has one I think.

BUT GUESS WHAT.

Alright... We went with 3 out of our 6 SoNo members, only 5 which are Organization members... And we left the convention with a full Organization... And then some! Thank god Axel has friends. So now we have Xemnas through Roxas, King Mickey, DiZ, AND Organization Riku. I am currently Demyx, but as soon as 358/2 comes out, I believe I want to switch to Xion. Looks like I can handle her, right? But the coolest part about our recruitment... is that aside from Saix (~ArcadiaEclipse), Zexion, Marluxia, King Mickey, and Larxene all of our new recruitments are guys! That's right, Organization XIII is now about 50/50 with male cosplayers. Look out Afterlife, we're coming after you. Slowly but surely!

I guess that's it for a small update. Next up, Zenkaikon! Maybe I'll have Shock done by then!

Wow, NOVA. Way to screw up my journal with your crappy connection. ANYWAY, let's try that again.

So here I am sitting in Historical Geology class. I should be paying attention, but this guy is so incredibly dull and monotone, that I simply can't bring myself to listen that well. He's droning on about sedimentary rocks and how they are formed. It might be just me, but I feel like everything he has said... I learned back in elementary school. Y'know, from books like the Magic School Bus and shows like Bill Nye the Science Gu- HOLY CRAP. The system started educating me early though catchy books with fun pictures! Damn them, making me learn and stuff. "According to my research..." Haha, Dorothy Ann.

Anyway, I have some good news!

I will be premiering my Olette costume at AUSA~! I am getting the contacts soon... They might be slightly off color, seeing as I need perscription contacts because I am blind as a bat. Well, those get a little pricy if they are colored, and I'd like them to be reused for a few different characters. Next is the wig. Unfortunately, I don't think I will have my permanent wig right away, because I just don't have the money to get the best quality wig right now, but what I am getting will do just fine for the time being. I am glad I will have this costume done, because after the issue with the first attempt, I will be just sad if I have to wait all the way for Katsucon.

ALSO. Demyx will be attending the AUSA ball. It was our original plans with ~SoNoProductions for some of us to make an appearance at the convention's ball, and ~FlansPirateWench and I were going to do the popular pairing, XigDem. However, as money issues began to arise, it began to look like I wasn't going to get to do the cosplay... But then a challenger to my problems appeared. I remembered that I had gotten a token for a free wig styling from the fabulous :idevdustbunny690: for my birthday~! So she is going to take the time and style a Demyx wig for me! Yaaaaay~!

That being so, make sure you look for me and a few more members from ~SoNoProductions
if you are attending the ball at AUSA. We'll be all pretty and dressed up - and like the true host within me, I will be willing to dance with anyone who would request it... So long as I can learn to waltz by then. But of course, I have to save a waltz for the gorgeous *AllenGale who I believe will be arriving as Belle. I couldn't be more excited!

On another note, I am looking into getting a hotel for AUSA - so if anyone is looking for a place to stay, please let me know. I know I have spoken to a few people about this, but there wasn't much talk after the first few mentions. If you are one of these people, please message me ASAP - because I'd like to know sooner than later. For those who might be interested, I will be packing the room. Nothing unreasonable, of course... Unless it is talked about - but we want to keep the room cheap, and let's be honest... Who really sleeps at conventions held at hotels? What is the point, when you can hang out in the hallways? I am just using the hotel room to throw my stuff in, so I don't plan on taking up much room. ANYWAY, let me know~!

The goods news doesn't end there (but boy, that was alot, huh?). The thing I have been most excited about lately is that... I have officially styled my first wig all by myself! The wig was for the character Nico Robin from One Piece, for a cosplay with my beloved at Comic-Con International 2009. Yeah, I know it was an easy character/haircut to pull off, but let me be excited, okay? I did it all by myself, and I am extremely proud - so proud, in fact, that I somewhat photo-documented the process, and I wish to share (I apologize for the poor quality, photos were taken on a phone)!

So I had finally finished my shirt for the Olette costume.. I had never been so proud of a costume than this because I had no help. Well, I was all ready to take some pictures to show my friends, but low and behold... Someone up there hates me.

We got alot of rain in the past few days... My shirt was down in the laundry room (which is in the basement) drying. Well, our basement decided to flood.. The shirt was on the ground...

The Olette shirt has been completely ruined by disgusting flood damage. Ugh. I have to start again.

I just don't have the money to have to restart this! I still need to get the Olette wig, which I plan to style myself... AND A DEMYX WIG for AUSA. That is going to be so hard to do... So I don't know why, but apparently the title has caught your interest. But whatever. I have more photos!

As many of you know - or at least those who know me personally - I tend to get bored easily. And those same people would know that when I get bored, I often remedy it in unusual fashions.

Such as drawing on my face.

That's right, kids. I found all my colored eyeliner~!

As all head their own ways to start the school year, I have been left to defend the home front. That's right, guys! Thanks for ditching me! Anyway, over the past few weeks I had grown accustom to seeing them everyday, or close to it. It's been almost 4 days without them! How awful is that? Pretty damn awful, I'd say.

Well, I was sitting on my bed reading D.Grayman (research for ) when I decided... Hey, let's be Allen for the evening! Well Mr. Allen Walker has some pretty cool designs across his left eye, brow and cheek. And it's all in red! Well, I have red eyeliner! I began boredly tracing the design... Then I added more color. THEN I realized I had a silver wig... AND A CAMERA PHONE. Before long, I came up with the first trial pictures!

AND THEN LAST NIGHT... I decided I really liked the character Cross. Well after finding out he had red hair (kind of Kairi-red) I started drawing a goatee on myself... And then I realized I also had an unstyled Kairi wig! Unfortunately, I was missing the thing glasses (mine are thick and square-framed), so I went and borrowed my grandfathers! Hehe, I'm just sad I didn't have time to make the mask.

Finances... They love to bite you in the ass, don't they?

Well, guys... You all know how stoked I've been for AUSA. I've been planning the costume and everything, especially for the ball.

But - there is always a but - I may end up not being able to attend. Money is getting a little tight now, almost to the point where I wasn't sure if I'd be able to attend classes this semester. Everything is good with school... But I'm going to have to see about AUSA.

Don't worry, I'll still make reservations and plan on going... But in the event that I can't - I'll let you know plenty in advance.

Hopefully I can budget and figure everything out... It's going to suck if I got so pumped up and then am unable to go. I wanted to hang out with my new friends, and dance with Xig and Belle at the ball... I WAS GOING TO LEARN HOW TO WALTZ FOR THEM.

So I was stretching this morning after a fabulous surprise party for . And I ended up pinching a nerve... Or something in my shoulder, completely rendering it useless... I'm trying to keep stretching it, but the muscle(s) don't want to properly work right now.

Ugh.

My only day off in a while and now I can't spend it the way I wanted to... Vigorously working on my costume for Comic-Con... 2010. Yeah, maybe I should work on the rest of the 2008 and 2009 costumes, huh?

Either way, shoulder shot. Pidge is out of commission for who knows how long. Anyone know a quick remedy other than amputation?

Oh my god, guys. Otakon 2008 was a blast!

Infact, it was my first Otakon ever (surprising). It just too often overlaps with Comic-Con International.

So I told a few people that I was cosplaying Larxene there, but I ended up as a Riku in a skit called "I want the Nobody". When a video is uploaded, I will link you. Or you can search for Otakon Masquerade 2008. We were group 26. But one won't be uploaded yet.

And on the last day, wonderful Robin let me borrow her Demyx wig, which was super nice. So that was fun.

What is Ootoro Productions? Well, it's our San Diegan cosplay group. Our Ouran High School Host Club was our debut, after a year in the making.

So Comic Con has been a blast, so far! I met so many awesome friends, like SuperPankakes and Patched here on Deviantart (forgive me for forgetting how to do the icons). And our Ouran Cosplay was incredibly popular. So many photos, look for us on the web. Or just head over to Photobucket.com and look up Ootoro Productions.

But then everything seems to be falling apart for Sunday. I just realized that I double scheduled - appearance at Church and at Comic Con. I think I am choosing Comic Con, because I have waited all year. However, my Tamaki wig just tore... badly. Then, our Kyouya is running off with someone, Hikaru has to leave early, and we just don't know what to do.

I think I may just be Larxene... We've worked on this cosplay all year, and man... It's a bummer. Way to end the last day, eh?

Finally heading down, guys. I leave my house in San Diego around 6 pm, and then I drive up with the group to L.A. From there, we take a plane back south, to Mexico City (depart at around midnight). After a 10 hour lay-over in Mexico City, we then depart for Guatemala City, from where we will take a bus, a boat and then another bus to reach our destination. This should be much fun, right?

Well, I'm totally stoked. I'll be spending three weeks teaching at a school with a younger high school group (I'm one of the few young adults at nearly 20).

And then... I RETURN. Just in time for Comic Con~! This will also be the debut of our first group cosplay, featuring... Ouran Host Club! Yeah, I know it's done alot but we couldn't pass up the chance. I mean, twins played by real twins? Fuckin' sweet, man. We don't have a name for our group just yet, but when we do I will surely inform you all~!

Of course, when I return to Washington DC, I get to see one of my best friends as she flies in for the week.

And not three weeks after Comic-Con... OTAKON~! Like, my two biggest conventions, back to back. My friend's birthday is August 7th, the convention is August 8-10, and my birthday is August 11th. So it's kind of like our birthday celebration.

At Otakon, I will be featuring Nekozawa, Lolita Mad Hatter, and possibly Larxene. But my last minute cosplay?

XEMNAS.

Yeah, I know right? What the fuck, Sabrina? Well, the story is, some friends of mine from high school are doing a Kingdom Heart's cosplay and they are missing a Xemnas and a Larxene for their masquerade skit. So who do they ask? Well, I expressed that I love Kingdom Hearts at one point, so Jane came to ask me if I'd like to participate.

I said yes.

I think they just chose me because I have darker skin like him. Racist bastards. Just kidding, I'm actually kind of nervous cosplaying him. Because I'm actually a big dork (kind of like Sora) who laughs alot. I can manage a creepy Nekozawa and a sadistic Larxene, but I've never done a kind of thoughtful, regal and slightly twisted character like Xemnas. So wish me luck please. I really need it.

Well, it's time to head out. I have some errands to run before I leave this afternoon. I will miss you all, and I hope to keep in touch!

Well, here I am. The Kansas trip was a blast, met some pretty cool cousins, and about 150 more people I don't know but apparently am related to. I also met cousins of mine from San Diego, yet I never knew they existed. They're so cool, we all flew to San Diego together, and I hung out with the girl my age the day after.

FINALLY got my Ouran jacket. Our Kyouya had them made in the Phillipines and they were so inexpensive, but we look so cool. Finally, our group is complete! <3 Actually, no we are still waiting for our Tamaki. Who I should contact soon, I guess.

I don't have much time to hang out with my favorite San Diego-ites before I head to Guatemala, but we are all so stoked for Comic-Con. I mean, come on. Real twins playing Hikaru and Kaoru? Effin' sweet!

Sisters are already driving me nuts, but I suppose I should be used to it. Only four more days until I leave for Guatemala. If only it could come sooner.

Anyway, I should call my friend Kylie and set up a meeting to finalize our devotionals for the trip. Here's to hopin' things go smoothly! Wish me luck (if any of you even read this). Test Nekozawa photos will be up soon.

As most of you know, I recently blew out my shoulder. Getting hit by a car didn't really do much for it, y'know? I'm recovering alright, just a fracture and a horribly torn muscle, but at least it didn't need to be casted. Just in a sling to bear the weight.

HOWEVER.

This puts a total damper on my plans, man. I was hoping to have all my costumes and weapons done before the summer. Right now, I'll be lucky to get my Otakon and Comic Con costumes done in time. I can't bear any weight with my right arm, and I am right handed. This means I MIGHT get the garments done, but definately not the props.

So Demyx's sitar, Larxene's blades, and Shock's mask and hat are on hold. LUCKILY, I finished Bereznoff for the Ouran group at Comic Con. And the Mad Hatter and March Hare tops were finished for Katsucon last year. So if anything, Otakon maybe another Lolita - Mad Tea Party. Especially since my BFF is flying in to be our adorable Dormouse~!

Also, my Org. XIII coat should be arriving soon, so I am totally stoked about that. What's that? Mad I didn't make it? Hey now, I'm majoring in Costume DESIGN, not costume construction. Any of those familiar with the theatrical set up, designers generally work with a seam-mistress to make the costume. I design everything and on of my friends will help me piece it together. I can do basic stuff, like cloaks and my halloween dress. But the coat was a little too difficult fo me. As are pants. So many of my spur-of-the-moment costumes are pieced together from "Unique Thrift Store". GREATEST STORE EVER.

I digress.

Asher, if you are reading this, any photoshoots need to occur soon. I ship off for the summer in less than 3 weeks, and I won't be back until August 2nd. Kansas, San Diego, Guatemala, San Diego. For those interested in my very busy summer schedule, check out my journal entry here: [link]

I am looking forward to Comic Con. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am for it. I get to meet up with some of the coolest people I have ever met. Kyouya (Rebecca), Haruhi (Aimee), and the twins - REAL TWINS - Kaoru (Victoria) and Hikaru (Jennifer). Also, I get to meet people I've known for years on the computer. Jen is going to be our Tamaki! We aren't sure about a Mori and a Hani (we haven't heard back from her), but here is to hoping.

If any of you are heading down to Comic Con, please let me know! I'd love to meet some more of you. We can play "Where's Waldo" among a crowed of 120,000 plus nerds! It's easy to locate me though; just look for someone lurking around the Red vs. Blue table in a Nekozawa costume.

SIDE NOTE: Kuro-taaan... - I just checked the BART rail map. The furthest it goes is Burlingame, and Fremont. I don't think that is ANYWHERE near San Diego. I can ask Jen and see what she is doing, and then I'll get back to you.

Anyway, my shoulder is starting to hurt again, so I better go ice it. I'll add more later~!

Also, this week has been rough, so I am sorry if I have been short with any of you. You see, I am gearing up for everything this summer and I'm finding out I am going to be VERY tight on cash.

I first have to head out to Wichita, Kansas for my great-grandfather's 90th birthday. However, it may end up being my great-grandmother's funeral, as she is sick in the hospital once again. I would hope it doesn't end up turning into such a sad thing, but... I just don't know.

After that, I fly straight to California to visit my father, step-mother and little sisters. It's going to be great... I hope. Sometimes it gets a little annoying. Just different rules of the house and stuff.

From California I head down to Guatemala with a missionary group. A child literacy program, I believe. It's a bunch of high schoolers from my church in San Diego, and they needed a few young adults to help chaperone the kids. This will be my first time out of the country, so I am very excited about that.

Three weeks, and then I fly back to San Diego. Spend another week with my family and then.... COMIC CON! So excited, big Ouran cosplay planned out with friends. May end up cosplaying Larxene or Demyx for a day to try out my new Organization XIII jacket!

Immediately after Comic Con, I return to Virginia to spend some time with my Best Friend (hopefully still then, she may have forgotten me xD), and then drive up to Baltimore for Otakon~! Another biggie. Because the day right before is Diana's birthday, and the day right after is mine. It's going to be a big birthday bash for the two of us.

The day after Diana leaves, I drive up to New York to go see the Lion King on Broadway with family as a birthday present, then return to see Cirque Du Soleil.
