I've felt the need to put down in words how I feel these days. I feel like my life is in the middle of a thick fog...

I've finished my demo and there is this huge hole now. I've put so much time and energy into this, it's as if the project created a wall between me and the real world and now, I have to face it. It's so delusional, all along I thought I couldn't be happier once I'd be done, that things would come together but instead, I'm left with nothing but worries. I'm doing everything I can to get everything together but the main points of my life are total question marks. I'm still looking for an appartment and a job for the summer. My acceptance in 3D next year is nothing but secure because so many people are applying. If I can't get in at my current school, I'll have to completely reorganize my life and get thrown in the adult world without being a bit prepared...
I was in a relationship for now a year and a half and it recently came to an end. I'm heartbroken because I've never loved someone that way but this was also the last thing that offered me a certainty in the future, a comfort. It's as everything I had under my feet just collapsed in a week. I know I shouldn't worry about what I don't know yet, I'll know by the beginning of June if I can do 3D next year, but it's so overwhelming, to know that a single person, and I'm not this person, decides how I'm going to live the next 2 years of your life. I wish I could step back a bit, take some time but instead I have to be on the run to secure whatever I have left and work towards building a better future for myself.

As for my animated short, it kinda feels like a post-partum depression haha... It's been a awful lot of work but I must admit I was happy with the comfort it provided... I'll see how things will go at the screenings. Any finissants feel/felt the same way?

I feel like I haven't said everything that's on my mind but it's all I can think of right now...

God save the doll
Soo! Being horrified by all the tiny damages I found on my bjd, I decided to take everything apart and start from the beginning... Rao is dead, she will be reborn under the name of Charlotte Rothblum : D So basically, she's in separate parts in ziploc bags and tupperwares, I feel like a psycho killer or something...

I'll use the opportunity of her being apart to do lots of stuff I wanted to do, as restringing seems annoying. Here the progress, because I know it's interesting... :B



°Taking the doll appart, cleaning her, getting rid of that...questionable face-up
95% (never ever actually got to remove everything, god knows what this peron used and if they coat the head before... this is just frustrating!)
°Getting the scratches/chips repaired by my good friend ramaon with milliput

Est-ce que quelqu'un comprend pourquoi quand on fait de l'anim, on se met à avoir mal à la tête, on a faim, on est pas comfortable, on est fatigué, on veut rentrer chez soi, on préfèrerais faire un field guide de pan vertical, cleaner son storyboard, manger des pizza pochettes ou un banh mi, boire du café, perdre ton temps sur dA, écrire un journal, bref, tout sauf faire de l'anim.. j'ai mes poses clés, je dois me botter lcul pour faire les dernieres 1-2 secondes et apres ca sera relativement moins chiant (i.e. pu de pose clés et d'intervalles!) M O N T R E A L
For beign so creeped out, I think I am now enjoying living here more than I ever did, anywhere else. Of course, there is the creepy and strange people, but hey, I guess they're.. uh.. I don't know what they are. They're there. There are clubs, restaurants with surprisingly spicy sauces (trust me, for I've been at a restaurant table, crying and chewing ice) and fuzzy sake. There are chocolate stores (I work there, and no, this hasn't gotten me fat), McDees (yeah, this gets me fat), and people with style. Something you'll have a hard time finding in regions. You have birds crashing on windows (I just saw that, on the building across the street.

D E S S I N A N I M É
Im studying in animated drawing. Though stuff. But fun stuff, as long as you don't sit on your laurrels and wait for stuff to happen. You'll just crash like that bird. I'm wondering to if I'm not going to go into 3D instead of 2D. I just might as well do both.
People are nice too A lot of them are on dA, waiting to get their galleries discovered!

P R O J E C T S
Since, aside from work and going out and stuff, I don't have anything to do, I wanna start a bunch of projects. I'll eventually have to buy another wacom pen. Stupid pen fell of my desk and is not working anymore. F*ck you, wacom pen! So yeah. as projects, I had some stuff I wanted to do.

*Create a civilization, infrastructures, fashion and outfits, governement structures, landscapes and maps. Fun stuff!!

* Try to do something that looks like that perdy Ivy's painting in Soul Calibur 3, the Valentine's Mansion stage. You can barely see it, it's like on the left side, she's sitting sideways and has a kind of white bustier and the background is like cream-peach. Really nice I'll try to do something similar, so I can look at it heh.

* Outfits! I love drawing outfits!

* Working on and exploring Photoshop. Really. I can hardly color using this and it's making me feel like a 10 year old kid that can't read.

* Stop discriminating? For cegep, and for everything in my life. That would be something nice. Peace would come down on earth and poverty would be a thing from the past.




What else? Well, nothing that I can think about right now. Maybe I'll update some stuff some day. But that's it for now!

I'm leaving tomorrow for Montreal. I'm moving out, for college. Alone, in a small room. Alone in a huge city.

I wanted it so much, for a long period of my life, and now that i'm twelve hours away from it, I'm scared. This is ridiculous... I've always told myself I'd be finally at the right place there and I was going on with everything, mostly just to be there. But now that I realize that I'll be by myself in this big city I know nothing of... My dreams are more like delusions. Maybe I counted too much on some people, people out of my life nowadays. Sacrificing my own happiness for someone else. Someone who hates me for this jaleousy I created in them. Yet, this doesn't feel like a mistake. I had to do it. I said something like that, that night; "Two happy individuals and a sad one is way better than 3 of them sad ".

You'll never read that, yet there's a part of me hating you for taking away what little hope you gave me, during those two days.



I don't feel secure at all in Montreal. So much people, so much "dangers"... I'd like to be taken care of, to be told everything's gonna be okay and have someone to tell me everything will be fine and guide me..


I called my appartment building yesterday, and I was told all the computers they had got stolen. How reassuring...

Maybe I'll settle down, after the month where I'll adapt and change to fit this new world of mine.

All I can do is to hope that I'll survive to the big city and that I can find a place for me there.

I haven't wrote a single journal for 6 months or so, and I decided it was time to change it. I haven't been really active on dA. Some stuff happened, artistically draining me. But things are better now. I'm productive again.

I'm accepted to Montreal, I'll study animated drawing in septembre. I have a room there and friends, I'm looking forward to this experience.

On the technical side, now, I produce on differents sizes, ranging from the usual 8 by 10 to 18x24. It always depends on what kind of paper I can find! I'm also attempting a certain change in my style. Trying to get something simpler, yet more complete.


That's about it, I can't think of anything else for now.

I guess I'm just writing down how I felt since the last weeks.

The thing is.. I don't feel any more.. like happiness from being on dA. Usually, when I got comments, I used to get all ecstatic and I couldn't wait to read them.. But like..recently.. I don't feel like.. I enjoy being here. So... I guess I'll come less often on dA. I'm kinda bored, it started to feel like a duty and I don't get any joy from that heh..

Oh, and according to a group of girls I used to call "friends", I'm ugly and I have no life. I felt sarcasm in there but like.. they never said it was a joke or anything.. So my day just ended this way.. I was quite upset.

These last days where full of music and memories. As a friend of mine once said "Music is my sanity." So many songs to discover and to appreciate. Some of them ring a bell and send me back to good or bad moments. That's a quality I like about music. They are like universal souvenir books. Everyone can interpret it the way they want, even if they don't get the words.

Yeah, music makes me nostalgic. Or is it me that makes the music nostalgic? Makes me "dream about other days" heh! Everyone gots their highs and lows in their life, but it seems to me that I've been on the "neutral" mode for a long time. So I rely on music to "spice up my life" as the Spice Girls would say haha! School's starting monday and this is a new school, full of new people, so that'll put some wasabi in it..the nice way, hopefully!

I hope everyone's doing fine, feel free to let me know how you're doing!

Okay, so tonight my sister and I went to my uncle's pool, and when we came back home, I noticed my sideburns were kinda long, so I decided to shave a part of them. But it was uneven.. my sister decided to show off her hairstyler skills... and she applied the clipper directly to my skin, resulting in a nice big white lines in my sideburn. So I had to shave the rest of them... Now I look like a 11 year old boy!! Curse you evil clipper!! Now I know how much have felt Samson, in that mythology thing!!

Yesterday I went to ym friend's hosue and we were some people of our grade, it was quite fun we bathed in the pool, jumped on a trampoline haha that was crazy and we then watched TV in her new basement 60's style! And today? Well, today I dont know what I'm about to do yet, I love it, that you dont have to worry about studying and stuff!! Maybe I'll throw my school stuff away!! yay so happy! And then next year, I'll attend to a new school and I'll have art and photography course!! Can't wait, I hope people will be nice heh!! Well, that's about it, I wanted to use my new journal features!! Take care guys, have a blasting summer!!

It's In Our Hands ; Part II
Okay, I wanted to draw this scene from Björk's video, the sketch is in the scraps section but when I started to paint it, I just completely screwed it... So this morning, I was feeling trying to paint something with Corel Painter ( I prefer Photoshop but my computer isnt big enough to handle it.. So anyway, I came across the scan of my sketch for the IIOH video painting. I decided to try and paint it and I definitely have something better than the "physical" one! I'm so proud of myself heh! It'll be my very first serious digital painting done! I can't wait to get it done! Maybe I'll post a scan of it during the process!

I got Virtua Figther 4 Evolution a coupla days ago, seems like i'm into fightning games ( tekken 5, soul calibur 2 and stuff) and I'd like to draw a series of fighters.. We will see how it'll come!!

So that's about it, I needed to dust my gallery a lil and just rant about myself a lil heh!! Take care everyone.

OKay, I was thinking it was one nice day today, but when I was drawing tonight, I thought again about all the crap that happened.. okay, I always write a journal when I feel bad, but then again, as I once said, don't read it if you aren't interested.

In french class, it's always the same. A real jungle. I can't stand it anymore, I'm there in the middle of that, and they put me and my friends with that group of people that should take pills in the morning before coming to school. A little bit more and people would be up on their desks and they would swing on the ceiling. It's so annoying when people don't stop saying friggin stupid stuff, screaming that they dont get anything before even reading the questions. The teacher says she going to get people out of the class, that she's going to do it, but she never does.. When she wants to, people just have to speak loud and argue with her and she's gonna stop and keep them in the class.. It's hell each time I go in that class, I get out of there so mad. And what's worst, today, the class was still over-excited, ready to turn some cars upside down and I didn't speak for the whole class... and when I started saying something funny to my friend, she was like : okay, philippe stop talking, sshhh.. RRAAAWWWRRR!!! I was going to throw all my books on the floor and grab my desk and destroy it, but i didnt. I'm a calm person in that class but it just got me so damn angry that she told me to shut up when i was speaking for like the first time and the other people were screaming their lungs out. I just sat tight on my desk and stabbed the inside of my hands with my nails... then i said, so she could barely hear me :" as if i was the only one talking"... f*** it all, im sick of going to this class and getting out of there stressed out. I told my mom I was bringing ear plugs tomorrow, in that class. She said I might get kicked out for causing trouble. maybe it's a duty to be a perfect student, but that's also a friggin right to have a quiet class where you dont feel like beating everyone up when you get out of there. I don't know If I'll bring those ear plugs tomorrow.. That would be like a quiet protestation.. but unfair as she is, she's going to kick me out of the class coz she knows I'm not going to argue. anyways.. and tomorrow in the morning, we are going to visit that school we are going to attend next year and I don't feel like watching all the popular people from my school who already know everyone there.. I feel like taking a break from all that shit, but in the mean time, I know i should get throught it and that some people go throught to way more tough stuff than that. bUt what do you want, I'm some kind of person that cannot hold a lot of shitty things. im done venting out and boring you. thanks to those who cared enough to read, I know it's really no fun to hear someone complaining... take care, i hope everyone is doing great. ... to all of those who are sad to be alone on valentine's day...


At some points in my live, I asked myself a few questions about love and partners, and all that jazz. First, I wondered if having a lover would make of me a better and stronger person. And I realized that in some way, no. Okay, we all learn stuff in these relationships, but I think you can get all the love and support of a lover from your friends, parents, family.. okay, that's one of the cheesiest thing i've said, but cheesy things are true sometimes. And when you feel sad or angry coz something crappy happened, you can get over it by yourself.. sometimes you might need friends' help, but there is always a way somehow.


I asked myself too: Is a lover necessary? It came to me that a good friend and a lover were pretty alike, except maybe from the affection demonstrations.. you tell each other everything, you share your bad and good times, support each other and so on.


Having a lover have a bunch of nice consequences, but innocent as we are, we like to believe it'll be everlasting and be nice all the way. but as this song ( i dont listen to "nazareth", by the way, thanks) says "Love hurts", well, it's not two random words put together. Love does hurt. Soon or later, someone in the pair is going to leave, no matter what, it may be because they found someone else, or any other reason.. and we know that we can't be happy all the time.


I'm not against having a lover at all, its a good thing, but I just wanted to tell people that if they feel sad coz they dont have one, they shouldn't worry. And to finish this with an happy ending!:

life is unpredictable. That french oral I was worried about, that I almost couldn't sleep on friday night, I asked my teacher if I could do it again, she agreed but she also said that I already had something around 85%.. I was so relieved, but at the same time, kinda upset that I felt so bad about it. My mom was cooking saturday night for her school carnival and I told her everything about friday. She was okay with it, she wasn't mad at all.. Just kinda tired coz I told her that at like 11h45 pm heh.. I'm just going to go to that stupid detention, do my maths or history homework probably... Yeah I'm relieved.. there is only that physics test mark now but I don't think I did awfull on it. I guess I learned something from what happened. "Shut up, stop worrying, and wait!" Yep! So much negative stuff happening.. OK I know you don't want to hear someone complaining about his life all along, well, if you really don't, stop reading!

So this morning I was sitting at my usual spot and there's the laboratory guy that came and said I was going to have my physics exam ( coz I missed it ) this morning, like right then... And I gotta say I didn't studied much.. I tried the best I could. When the questions didn't make any sense, I tryed to be as logic as I could.. And along with that exam came a detention paper because I was late ( like 2 seconds after the bell rang, the class wasn't even started, stupid system, screw it all!) and I have to stay in detention during lunch time for 2 friggin' seconds!!! That's unfair.. And in French, we had to do our oral, and one of the guy in my team was acting as a women, being the author of a book we had to talk about, and I couldn't stop laughing at some points.. I think I laughed a little bit too much.. but I said everything I needed to. At the end of our presentation, the teacher rolled her eyes.. damn.. and if i dont get a good mark on both of these, my mom is going to be so mad at me... well, she's really nice and everything, but when I get bad marks, she gets real mad.. f***.. I feel like jumping out from a window. It seems like I fail at everything I try to do lately. ugly life, i wish it could be great sometimes, there is always something missing or I do something stupid... I could go on for hours like that so I'll shut up right now and let you go. I took enough of your time...

damn! i wrote a journal and it crashed.. anyways! lets try to write it as it was heh:
hey everyone! how are you doing? im pretty good, kinda tired tho. today in the computer lab i thought i was going nuts.. We are studying html code and working on frames.. there was this stupid error that kept me from going anywhere and I got practically nothing out of the whole class... rawr! in english class I started a concept sketch for this painting I wanted to from an Interpol song. I think it might look cool. And also, I resisted desserts for 2 days now good start for me! well, i guess its all for my day. I hope you had a good one! take care and see ya!!

On this approaching February 1st, I decided to set some resolutions, coz I didn't set any on January 1st.. So, here they are! (somehow unrealistic for now hahaha)

1. Stop eating McDonalds for a while.
2. Talking less.
3. Try to moderate my craving for thoses delicious and soo good desserts! (eek!)
4. Getting more sleep, especially on week-ends.
5. Less computer time, more art time!
6. Raise some money and try to get rid of my pulses that tells me to buy something as soon as I got some money..(enrgh, that will be hard..)



Yeah, that's all I can think about right now. I'll try to respect them and I'll see on February 1th, 2006 if I succeded! I'll try a smooth approach to thoses resolutions if I dont want to be sick of them in 2 weeks :s.. Well, good luck to myself!!
