I'm still out in Africa having a great time. I've moved on from Kenya having completed our school building project, teaching and medic placement in a little town in Kenya. I'm currently in Uganda in Kampala the capital. We're heading down to Rwanda soon.

I'm so excited, yet I'm still waiting for my new plane tickets to be re-issued as they cancelled the other one, waiting for my new credit card to be delivered, and most importantly trying to desperately locate where I put my passport. Edit: I've booked to go down to London on the 15th and 16th of London, primarily to meet up with `greenie and a few other to go to various buildings which are participating in London Open House [link] and for a drinking session at the met bar.
If anyone else is going to be in London on these dates let me know and we could arrange to meet up and go shooting (in the photographic sense of course).

Its been ages since I went to London. I went last year about 6 times, including New Years Eve, so its about time I went again as the only time I've been this year is just to go to Heathrow or Gatwick.

I will update properly and link you to my photos once uploaded, and no doubt submit a few here.

I'll update properly in about 3 weeks as I have 2 exams coming up which I actually need to study hard for as I didn't take my books with me on holiday, oops! So it'll be a busy next few weeks settling back to work and revising.

Just booked my 3 month trip to Africa at the end of the year, 5 weeks charity work, and 5 weeks safari. I can't wait!!!! I always need something to look forward to otherwise I get pretty depressed just plodding along doing the 9 till 5.

Still waiting on one final offer from a University to find out whether I'll be going this year. Experience is my down fall, so if I don't get accepted I'll spend the next year getting experience (hence Africa as I'll get some experience in third world medicine out there) and then apply again for 2008.

Jet lag is a bugger, I didn't get up until midday today, but I think I'm pretty much back to normal now.

Just a bried update before my credit runs out.

I'm in Sydney now for 5 days before i head back home. New Zealand was absolutely fantastic and I did so many activities I couldn't possibly mention them all here, but it includes bungy jumping and sky diving. I met loads of awesome people who I will no doubt stay in touch with.

After NZ I headed over to Adelaide, Australia to stay with a friend, and also meet up with a guy who was travelling on the same trip as me around NZ. From there I came to Sydney on Fri 23rd where I am now. I'm having a great time, hoping to meet up with friends I met last year and also on the NZ trip who live in Sydney. I have also planned to do another sky dive to as the one in NZ was absolutely fantastic! I have loads of pictures, including sky diving ones, so I'll be uploading some here, and most to flickr when I get back. Expect them some time mid March.

In other news I had both my exam results throuhg while I was away, and I passed both! Woohoo! go me :) unfortunamtely 2 weeks after I get home I have 2 more exams, and I haven't been to any lessons as I've been on the other side of the world!!!!

Anyhow, hope all is well with everyone else.

My first stop being New Zealand where I’ll be spending 2 weeks travelling around both north and south island. My second stop will be Australia where I will be spending time in Adelaide and Sydney.
Any deviants in either New Zealand or Adelaide/Sydney area who wants to meet up and show me the sites, then note me :)

Here are my favourite photographs from the architecture category this month.







I love this building. I’ve visited it a couple of times and taken some touristy photos, and a few artistic photos. I’ve seen plenty of shots of this place, yet this simple idea of using 4 polaroids to capture the arch really emphasises the massive scale of this building in a quirky way.



In other news

I’m off to Kenya for 10 weeks in October, November and December to take part on a charity project for Mottey African Development. I am doing a sponsored SKY DIVE while on holiday in New Zealand on the 9th February (less than 3 weeks away) and I’m absolutely $hitting my pants!

Its been a while since I’ve been active here ever since my subscription expired. It sure hampered me browsing through everyone’s new deviations, so I subscribed myself for 3 months!
Sorry I can’t comment on many of your deviations as there are around 3,000 in my devwatch, but below a few of my favourites.












I hope to be more active on DA in the near future as I haven’t yet found a photo hosting site which has a community aspect to rival DA. Although DA does have its downsides, its community aspect and great people I’ve met on here is what keeps me from leaving completely.

Looks like its harder to shake off deviant art than I thought, especially now its had a face lift. I’ll still be around, just not as much as before. Birthday
It was my 23rd birthday yesterday. I didn’t get chance to enjoy it much as I was mostly on the road travelling to an interview and then getting stuck in heavy traffic on the way home. When I got back I saw The Omen at the cinema. I hadn’t seen the original so didn’t know what to expect. The film failed to frighten much as I only jumped once throughout the whole film. Most of it was just laughable at the cheapness of the effects and the boys facial expressions throughout. Its definitely one to miss, but it was free so I can’t complain!

London
Other than that I had a great weekend in London. It was an early birthday treat. The weather was fantastic and I really enjoyed seeing another Shakespeare play at The Globe. I saw Titas Andronicus. It was fantastically gory, so much so that many people had to leave throughout the performance as the blood was spilt and limbs dismembered. We managed to position ourselves right against the stage so the action was literally a foot away. Definitely the most fun I’ve had in a long while as the play really interacted with the audience throughout as scenes took place among the audience who had to keep on guard throughout so they didn’t become part of the bloody action. I’d recommend seeing a play there to anyone. For £6 standing you can’t get a better deal!

Europe
I’ve finally paid off my holiday so I’m looking forward to my Europe tour in about 5 weeks time. Another fellow deviant photographer is on the same trip so no doubt we’ll get along well. I got lots of holiday stuff from my friends and family for the trip so I have very little to buy before I leave. Just time to swot up on my German, French and Italian.

Exams
Lastly I have my last two exams at the end of the month so once those are over I should be back with photography and deviantart as much as I was before.

I’ve missed having chance to comment on your new deviations, so instead from the 1000+ in my inbox I’ll showcase my favourite below.
