Designing a mobile client for a chat system such as dAmn or IRC is a tough problem to tackle. Getting the interface to work correctly, gaining good performance are some issues I have to tackle.

Since August last year I have been working when I can on building a new core for dAmnMobile to be included in the next major release. This system already fixes many bugs that the old system had. It improves performance, eliminates those pesky disconnections and crushes other bugs.

I'd like to explain about the In-App Purchase included in the app before it is out on the store.

dA Uploader 2 is a full rewrite of the app, it has a gorgeous new UI and style. When rebuilding the app I took time to consider how to do multiple uploads and text uploads.

In the end I decided these new features would be a paid feature in the app as this would help me to improve on these specific features in the future with more updates to the app hopefully allowing faster uploads and deeper sta.sh integration.

I've sold nearly 10,000 copies of these apps combined with an average of around 200 downloads a week. I've also recieved two Daily Deviations for my apps, these show that my apps are used and enjoyed by real deviantART users.

Here's a small summary of the changes:

Multiple Accounts with quick switching!
Quickly switch your account in the app to check multiple accounts easily and quickly. This is the best feature of 1.1 and I believe it is the first app out that allows quick switching of accounts :la:

Updated UI
Linking the titles to the items properly!

Feature Requests
If anyone has a feature they want in the app other than support for more types such as polls etc, feel free to tell me now :).

Release Date
1.1 will be released in about a week once Apple has reviewed it, so be patient but tell everyone about it! :la:

I have pushed the first update, 1.0.1 to the store as of yesterday, its features include:
- iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G support, must be running 4.2 or newer.
- Favouriting of deviations and journals
- Sharing to Twitter, Facebook etc.
- Fixes to Journal viewing
- Other bug fixes.

I am planning to add these in a future update already:
- More viewing types such as critiques, polls and voting on group submissions.
- Potential support for CSS skins in some form.

dAmnMobile 2.1 is nearly ready, this is bringing ignores, better integration with notification center and multiple bug fixes.

dA Messages is slow going just due to the size of the app and it's complexity. Hopefully this will be done within a month or two :).

I am moving shortly so may be offline for a while but hopefully not too long :P.
