I've been really busy. Kinda not into art anymore...I write a lot now. But even more than that, I write music now!!

My band played for the first time in a long time last night. We got a new guitarist and he played with us for the first time too. It was amazing. I can't wait to play again. I'm gonna try to set up a tour this year, once we get all our band members together.

Anyways, I'm not gonna be around on DA a lot. I'm in college now, and I've got a million other things to do. But I still love you guys. Each and every one.

My band, Snakes Like Converse, was asked to be put on Warped Tour's 08 Comp CD. I think I was speechless from the moment the offer came to us. I can't get much more excited than I am right now.

We had to drop our other members (so it's just me and Izzy now), but we're skilled enough to continue writing music between the two of us. Check us out and see why Warped Tour likes us.

They enjoy watching you get your hands dirty while they sit in their shiny new cars, refusing to drive you places. They seem to appear when you know they shouldn't and say things that constantly make you want to punch the back of their kneecaps.

But after those seventeen years are up, your "parents" no longer become "superior" because you cross over into the age of "adulthood" and join them in being "superior".

I can't believe how ironic this is. Everything he said actually happened. You know how they say there are blessings in disguises? Everything that's happened this past week had turned out for the better. I mean everything.

I couldn't ask for better friends, I couldn't ask for better enemies, I couldn't ask for a better guy to trust. He's way too good for me.

I respect everyone that's ever come into my life because they've changed me in some way. I now know to learn from other people's mistakes and mimic other people's success. Every person that's been in my life has (without consciously meaning to) set an example of how to change for the better. It took awhile, but I can finally see it.

Thanks Jason. Without you I'd be a completely different person. And I'm truly happy right now. Not the temporary kind of happy...the real kind.

First off, Relient K is the nicest band I've ever seen. Halfway through the concert Relient K played the best jazzy rendition of Sleigh Ride I've ever heard. And then, they dropped these little white things on the crowd to make it look like it was snowing. I was so happy. Then they played the theme song to The Office with words they made up. It was amazing. =Murasaki-Tori got it all on film.

We were pretty far back for Relient K, but when they left, a lot of people left. So we moved up really far. We must have been 5th or 6th row back for when Switchfoot came on. That's the reason I went to see this concert.

Jon was amazing. He loved this show. He climbed on stuff, (of course) and crowd surfed! I've seen the videos of it on youtube, but I've never seen him do it live. I was so happy when he jumped into the crowd.

We got some amazing videos of Switchfoot. I was so happy to be there. This concert was 14 times better than I originally thought. I almost forgot how good Switchfoot is live. They blew my mind. @.@ There's a reason they're my favorite.

I didn't get a bruise. The crowd was amazing. People respected others personal space, and didn't push, and best of all didn't curse at anyone else. We all just kinda became friends. I love Foot Soldiers! I <3 Switchfoot.

So this week is my friend, Pilar's birthday party. Dunno when her birthday actually is...but happy birthday Pilar! I'll miss it.

And then my youth pastor is getting married tomorrow...the day I arrive at Loon Lake. So horray Dan and Loretta! Happy marrige! I'll miss it.

And then I might have gone to VBS this week, but I'm away at vacation. So have fun guys at VBS! I wish I could be there! I'll miss it.

And this is also the week I could have baby sat a bunch of sugar high kids running around and wrestling me. I won't miss that though.

Well, I don't speak Spanish, so this'll be way fun. I took four years of French, and it's completely useless. Points. Anyway, we're not really going site seeing, and I'm kinda disappointed about that. We get Friday off, and I'll take lots of pictures then, but other than that we really aren't going to get to see lots of stuff. But I'm sure I'll have a million stories to tell you guys when I get back.

Since it's below the equator, it's winter there, which threw me off. I was like YAY! SOUTH AMERICA! WARM WEATHER! Haha, it's like...50 there. Brr...

Another thing, it's just a policy of the church that we don't take cell phones, or ipods or stuff like that. So don't try to call me, cause my mom will pick up. Unless you like her more than me...go ahead.

Edit: My sisters computer saved us all. It's in her room, and our parents won't let her have internet access since they can't monitor what she's doing. [link] - I love this piece. This is my favourite one in Murasaki-Tori's gallery. It's so smooth and reflective. It flows together very nicely. The lighting just turned out perfect, and the effects on it are beautiful. ...and it's shiny.
[link] - My favourite genre of photographs are ones of sunsets. The way the sky manages to light up in this one is unbelievable. The contrast between all the colours is beautiful. The way the branches of the trees cut so cleanly into the colour makes it more intricate and detailed. If only every sunset looked like this...
[link] - Once again, another picture of the sky. The way the clouds are darkened gives the overall photo a dramatic feel. But then the sunlight cuts into the picture, giving it a whole new twist. Awesome.


[link] - I think this piece is drawn really well. The lines are very sharp. That's just a technique I seem to be attracted to. Anyways, I like this drawing lots.
[link] - I love the snow. This photograph captures the feeling of a winter day. It's dark, but the snow seems to lighten it up. It's weird, I don't know how to explain it, exactly, but so cool.

[link] - I was reading poetry for a contest a while ago. Out of three entrants, I thought lorananirren's was the best one. So I gave her a and we got to know each other from then on. So this is more of a personal connection, than anything else. But that's not to say the writing isn't good. I think the ending is very powerful.
[link] - Whenever I read this one I can't stop thinking. There are no boring words in this poem that just take up space. It seems that every word has a purpose. When you read it, you have to think about everything that's being said. It's so complicated, but so simple.
[link] - I love this one. It's simple, short, and sweet. It feels like it's asking a question, but it never does. It sends chills down my spine.


[link] - How could I not? I love fight scenes. Not only that, but Vilekins is really good at drawing body proportions. It makes me happy.

Yeah, I feel like my throat turned into daggers. Every time I cough or something, my throat explodes. (Explosions? I'm a terrorist threat now!) I mean...drinking water shouldn't hurt, should it? Blehh...

Hahaha, I can't really sleep though. Because when you sleep you swallow your saliva, right? So every time I swallowed in my sleep, I would wake myself up cause it hurt so much. It was like every fifteen minutes.

Hahaha, every time I woke up there was a puddle of drool, yellow pus, and snot all over my pillow and my face. I must say that I'm proud.

Anyway, I can't talk, and I don't intend to. It hurts a lot when I talk. At least the doctor was laughing about it.

But like hell I get to miss school!

Okay...so...I went...and then I came back. And lots of stuff happened in between. Let's get started, shall we?

First off, my crazy friend, =Murasaki-Tori wanted to cosplay Li Syaoran from Cardcaptor Sakura. So, naturally, she started the cosplay a week before the convention. The crazy bean. I don't know how she did it. She must be magical. But she managed to hand sew the entire thing within seven days. SHE'S NUTS!

Then my other friends, ~Animefreaktose and ~Devispooky777 were Sakura, and Kero respectively. They also made their costumes, and I swear I could die because they were so cute together. If I had pictures to show you I would...but my cameras are still being developed. ;_;

Anyways, we met up with ~DeviousWarlock13 who was cosplay L, and had a fan girl club following him around on Friday. He had the hair down perfectly and I wanted to stroke it...but I thought I might have messed it up. lol.

Then we found =akureikarasu and her sister ~myrael who didn't cosplay, but managed to bring more fun into the equation. ...like Vincent going on vacation to Hawaii

We met a ton of people while we were there. We met up with ~IceSuicida and hung out with her a lot. And I only saw ~MarvPunkLolitaFreak for a little bit...but it was worth it!!!

The best part of AB was when Izzy and I were dancing. We had this choreographed dance that we learned awhile ago that has a fight scene in it. So we were doing the fight scene in our cosplays, and since Li Syaoran is weird, he decided to have bells on the end of his sleeves. Izzy went to punch me which was part of the dance, and the huge bell on the end of her sleeve went a little further than we both planned and I got pummeled by a large shiny bell. Haha, that was amazing.

Anyway, I think AB went over really well. Aside from me missing Saturday morning, it was pretty good. I played Tank! for a lot of people, and Goodnight Julia for one really cool Midvalley (he played some of it with me!)

I'm really tired right now...and I'm longing for pictures to go with this awesome journal entry...so that means I'm going to cut it here and edit this once I get pictures. Then I will feel complete.

Momentum. It’s a very scary thing, let me tell you that. Why is it scary? Well, because there’s so much of it. I mean, you get all revved up about something, you get all excited and pumped up, and then the carpet is pulled out from under your feet.

But I do not intend to make this an emo journal entry. Mwhahaha!

Okay, let me explain from the beginning.

Awhile ago I mentioned something about treadmills. Well now I’m telling you all why I mentioned them before.

There is a wonderful band that does a wonderful dance. It’s called, “OK GO on Treadmills” to the song “Here it Goes Again.” [link]v5zWaTEVkI There’s the link for all you wonderful people.

Since my friends and I are legally insane, we saw an opportunity here. There’s an annual talent show at our school called Lip Synch. So guess what we planned? We decided to pull of this awesome dance for the talent show MONTHS in advance. I mean months. We’ve been planning this dance for about half a year, six months! Anyway, the hardest part about this was getting the treadmills. Since we can’t just walk into a store and buy eight treadmills, we were defiantly up against a problem.

But because we have awesome friends, we stole theirs. We offered to do all the work. We took out the seats in my moms van, drove to their house, loaded up the treadmill in my moms car, and then brought it back to the garage. We had to do it one by one, since we can’t fit two treadmills in her car.

After that wonderful task of assembling all eight treadmills, we had to figure out how to plug them in without killing the power. >.< We plugged half of them into the house, and half into the garage. That worked out nicely.

We've been bruised, sweaty, bloody and tired (okay, maybe that's exaggerating a bit...). We've donated so many weekends for pure practice on these stupid treadmills. (We've probably broken more than we should have...but we don't talk about that.) Basically, these exercise machines are like family to us. ...So many memories! I think I'm going to cry...

Anyways, guess what? The talent show was scheduled for this Saturday. April 14, 2007 was going to be Lip Synch and it was going to be wonderful. All our hard work was finally going to pay off!

But then, as we found out today it got canceled. Just taken off the schedule. I felt like I got punched in the face. The reasons it was canceled are a bit complicated, so I’m not going into them.

But just like that, we realized that the whole entire thing was done. =Murasaki-Tori, ~DeviousWarlock13, ~Animefreaktose, and myself were all part of the dance. Not to mention the awesome people that had helped up along the way, like ~Devispooky777 and: devItchyNekoSama:.

Now, I’m the kind of person who likes to worry. And I was expecting that all the times I got stressed out about things, and freaked out about whatever, was going to pay off. Why? Because we were going to perform the dance and everyone would love it. But now I’m kinda stuck wondering why I worried so much.

Anyways, we put so much effort into this we’re not going to do it unperformed. ~Devispooky777 is going to get us a theater at a local library, and we’re going to perform that dance, plus a lot more. Last year at Lip Synch we preformed OK GO’s other dance, [link] “A Million Ways to be Cruel.” So we’ll probably do that dance too. Not just that, but our band might perform (if we have songs ready @.@).

Anyway, for a lot of disappointment today, I think I learned something. Worrying gets you nowhere. >.< Really. It doesn’t. All I’ve done is get stressed out, frustrated, and panicked about this whole entire performance, and it got canceled.

Therefore I’ve decided not to worry.

And that is my non-emo journal entry about how much I hate treadmills.

Anyways, I found some really cool things. For one: I found this old rusty scythe. It's gross, but so cool. It made me happy. I was threatning my sister with it before. ^.^ No wonder she hates me.

Then I found this awesome picture. It's framed and everything. So I nailed it onto the wall in our front dining room. It's very Romantic (the style) and I like it a lot. It's the face of a woman. Her neck is very long, and her face is painted with a very deep red, almost brown. For shading, it looks like the artist flicked specks of yellow paint on her face. It's so cool!

Anyways, I was very happy today with my finds. Tomorrow we're going to have many more finds because my friends and I are filming a movie and we didn't write a script for it yet. This is how it sounds so far

"Okay, this is how we start. Gren is mad at Shuichi, and in then end they become friends." We're just going to fill in the blanks with IMPROVISATION! If you couldn't tell, it's a cos-play movie (are there names for those yet?) Of Cowboy Bebop, Gravitation, and a random Geisha. Fun, right?

Why? Cause she's going to major in art and I...well...I strongly doubt I will. (lol, although it'd be a sight to see if I did.)

Anywho...Have you ever met someone online and thought they were a nice person at first, but maybe they just don't have a lot of self confidence? Then after awhile you realize that they're kind of stuck up and don't want other artists copying their style, or stealing their art work so they don't answer anyone's questions or tell people anything about themselves? I think I met someone like that @.@ And she never goes on my DA, so I'm more than sure it's okay to post this...but that just kind of bothers me.

Honestly, if someone copied my art work I'd be thrilled! (alright, so maybe a little annoyed, but for the overall I'd be excited ) Then again...I'm not the kind of person who gets stressed over much, so that could play a role. But sometimes people who are really good artists/poets/photographers/[insert creative talent here] are stuck up about their work, it bothers me. I'm not saying that you shouldn't get annoyed when people copy your art or steal it or whatever the term is, because I can see how that would piss off the artist, but when you're hiding everything from the world and people are asking you so many questions about how you did your art and that your art is so good and stuff...well, isn't that more of a compliment than an insult?

That's just my train of thought...

So I joined DA. Horray! But my gallery has really moved away from drawings. I do a lot of whatever kind of stuff, and I haven’t really been putting up a lot of drawings. Haha, but what I do quite often is put up a drawing and then take it down about an hour later. >.< I do that so much…

Anyway, if you look in my scraps (but I'm warning you: DON'T) you'll see my stuff from about two years ago. I don't even remember how old it's been. But I was just looking back at them, and I decided to redraw one of the Marth pictures that's in there. So I did it...but it really wasn't that good anyway. Comparing those two pictures, with the old one and the new one...I haven't really improved much.

So I thought that maybe I should take an art class again in school. But to do that I'd have to submit my work. No big deal, right? But last night I started drawing this girl, all realistic and stuff (which is something I don't do as much anymore) but it just doesn't look like I've improved or anything. What if I join the class in school and it turns out I can’t do the kind of stuff they’re asking me for? Maybe I’m not cut out for this hard core art stuff. >.< Blehh, I either need to work hard at getting good at this, or concentrate my time on something else...

Anyway, I've really wanted to start playing the Fire emblem games. They look like fun. Not just that, but I've been doing a lot of Marth/Roy/Link drawings from SSM because they're the swordsmen. If I had time to colour them on the computer I would, but basketball is killing me. Varsity is a lot harder than I thought it was gonna be. >.<

Other intresting news: I'm running out of stuff to draw. Alex says I need to work on drawing faces because I don't have the placing of the eyes down yet. She's right though. But besides that I'm pretty happy with how my drawings have turned out. I'll upload some stuff once I have the time. Wow...only one emoticon in this whole post. That's pathetic.

Alright...I did a sketch to thank everyone because getting 1,000 page views just made my day! Not only that, but I can't tell you guys how much I appreacate it that over 1000 people have just even given my gallery a simple glance. I guess it means I've gotten somewhere over the few years, right?

So it's pretty far away still, but that means I have time to get my cosplay together. I wanna go as Gren from Cowboy Bebop. ^.^
Anyways, I signed up today which is why I'm so excited. I can't believe that I'm going without having to pay myself. I'm one excited bean

On other note: I babysat tonight. The kids I babysit are the cutest things on the face of the earth. One is 3, and the other is about 5. ^.^ That made me happy. Not to mention their parents pay so well...but I'm not really in it for the money. These kids are just way too sweet to not be around. Alright...that's a lie. It is for the money too. Me and my liar ways...

On another other note: I have a basketball tournament tomorrow. I'm excited. Although the two main players on the team are A.) working and B.) taking the SAT's. Therefore we're going to play without them. But it's okay, because that means I get more play time. Yeah...I'm selfish like that. Nah, but really, we're gonna have to work hard to win without those two.

It was all swelled up and inflamed. Gross. I can't really look anywhere unless I turn my head. It feels like there's a knife in the back of my eye, scratching against my retina every time I move my eye to see something.

My mom says it's an eye infection. I say it's hell.

Edit: Alright, doc says it's either cause my right eye is allergic to the makeup I wore on Halloween last night (haha...just my right eye. That's really weird.) or it's cause I have a hair follicle infection. Please let me be allergic to make up cause I really find it funny how just my right eye is allergic to stuff. *coughandbecauseIdon'tlikewearingmakeupcough* ...and of course, because having a hair follicle infection is a bad thing.

I just found this really awesome rp sight. And it's real rp'ing. Not like gaia or anything like that. The plot is really cool (fantasy) and the girl who runs it is really nice. The best part about it is that it was started only last week (I think?) so there's only about 9 members as of right now. So it's small, with nice people, and an amazing plot. Anyway, it was supposed to be really cold today (at least that’s what I was told) so I put on a sweater, two tee shirts, and these really thick sweat pants. But mind you, they supply you with camo jump suits (which actually look kinda cool) so I had ANOTHER layer on after that. So whenever someone hit me, the paintball wouldn’t break, so I never got out. The rule is that you can only get out if you get paint on you. So I was awesome and didn’t get out the first three rounds. We played Speedball, a pro players course and got about three people out in teams of six. It was really really cool.

But for the last game, the refs started saying that we only had two minutes left. So the college kids we played against (they cheated and played REALLY unfair) just charged for the flag. (we were playing capture the flag.) And I heard some kids yelling ‘Quick, shoot him! He’s got the flag!’ So I ran over to where the flag is. Okay, now it gets cool.
So I ran toward our flag to shoot the kids who took the flag, and I jumped over this log, into about a three foot trench. But as soon as I jumped (I must’ve been visible) they shot at me and guess where they hit? SQUARE IN THE FACE! We did have masks on, but there’s little holes by the mouth (I guess breathing is important) so the paint splattered all over my chin and stuff. I could feel it dripping into my mouth. And the plastic is about an inch away from your face, so the paint is still moving as fast as the paint ball once it explodes, so now I’ve got this mini welt on my chin. It’s actually kinda cool…

I’ve had them before…but I lost them. And I’m near sighted (so I can’t see far away) but it’s not that bad. The only reason I got them again was because I wasn’t able to see the chalk board from the back of the classroom. -_-
I don’t like being dependant on anything, and for some reason I feel that now I’m being dependant on glasses. Then again…my brother says I care too much.

So I’ve been checking out DA for tutorials and I was sick of looking at tutorials for photoshop. Then the wonderful idea struck me that I could actually go to the search bar and search ‘corel X line art tutorial.’ O.o Imagine that!!! So now I’m learning all these fun tips on corel PSP. Course, not all of it is about line art. But I’ve been practicing how to do eyes and backgrounds. Check it out.
