Otherwise, news in brief : Boyf finally released from clinic and more or less all patched up. Comic book still unfinished, meaning I'll still be working over the Christmas "break" and people are going to to get stiffed for presents given what little time I have to spare on that. Nuts.
But, I sort of have a mini Christmas installement of GND ready-ish. It'll be scribbly and snapshot-y rather than nice laid-out full pages, but there you go. Normal service ought to be resumed in January.

OK, so I fail in my Phangirl cred since I didn't go visit the Opera Populaire-now-Garnier, sneak away and hide during the guided tour and then attempt to find my way down to the underground lake and catacombs the official tourist book denies are there in search of masked murderous musicians.
However, the Musée d'Orsay (which houses a lovely collection of Impressionist and Symbolist paintings) does boast a small scale cross-section model of said Opera House, which is pretty much one of the coolest miniatures around. The detail is amazing and you can really imagine the size and splendour of the place.

The ones I still have in mind and/or started/pondered : Storm Child's pencil piece of fanart; Lixxle's epic Sequins pic; and Valora - that one will have to wait for both a brilliant stroke of inspiration, and my getting my paints back with me.

Why is now any better? Well, for those who were vaguely paying attention, I moved town for this new job (which is, quite frankly, OK), and I am about to move to a new flatshare - sans internet, for a month. Le gasp ]]>
