I was on the forum the other day, and this very smart lady had the greatest idea.

"Recently I've had this idea floating around, mainly sourced from the fact that my brother, mum and dad are going to see Dave Gilmour next month, and I'm not. Heres the fact. We all want a Pink Floyd tour, right? There have been thousands of petitions, polls, letters and websites dedicated to getting just that. Trouble is, it doesn't work. I was thinking, if I get enough deviants who want them back, (and I'm sure there are a fair few) we could make a massive artwork or something, with all the names, and send it to Dave. It would be like this massive, colourful uber-petition that he can stick on his wall and go hey.. look how many people love me. Its a bit rough around the edges, but if you have ideas, post here. If you want to take part, post here

I would really appreciate any bursts of inspiration that would make this work..

The Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett Story DVD came out in the US/Canada. It has more features than on the UK DVD. Interviews from the Pink Floyd, and ex-member Bob Klose, Syd's girlfriend, and many others talk about their life with Syd. With rare footage and interviews. A must see for any Pink Floyd fan.

In the rescent Q/Mojo magazine: Psychedelia, it talks about Pink Floyd's Piper album. Interviews from Roger and other band members talk about the album.

Ok, this should be a fun one...

Doesn't matter if you're good or bad at taking pictures, just get a picture of you or someone you know who looks like any of the band members. It can be as many people. Boy or girl. You/they can dress up in whatever; like a wig or that funky butterfly tee Nick Mason wore in Pompeii. Use any props like guitars or other instument. So good luck!

The Australian Pink Floyd

Wow.
These guys (and girls) were AMAZING! Especially in front row! Wow.
They first did the entire Dark Side of the Moon. When the heartbeats start, it shakes the floor and you can feel it vibrating in your body because the bass was so Awsome! The woman who did the vocals for The Great Gig in the Sky... WOW... I AM SO SPEECHLESS! So don't ask... She sounded so much like Clair, maybe better. Any Colour You Like was really incredible too! Actually, it all was, so I wont say anything more on that... WOW...

(Looking at the list) They played: Shine On You Crazy Diamond, parts 1-5, Welcome to the Machine, (it says High Hopes but they didn't play it ), Sorrow, The Fletcher Memorial Home, Careful With that Axe Eugene, Keep Talking, One of these Days, The Happiest Days of Our Lives, Another Brick in the Wall (pt. 2), Run Like Hell, Wish You Were Here and Comfortably Numb. WOW.
They sounded so much like the band! When "David Gilmour" did Sorrow, I thought it was the real deal! And the womans vocals... WOW... just all of it was amazing...
And what about the lights? What about them?! Like I said, just like the real deal...
I'm still trying to get it all to sink in and stuff... and too excited to really explain it... you seriously had to go!
If they do come to your area... GO! I'M SERIOUS! It's the closest thing to the Floyd if you don't get to see the real deal.
