Now that I am back home, I have had a chance to put up some prints of my latest paintings. Also, I am using a brand new paper for all of my images.  It has a soft, shimmery finish that looks just beautiful in the sunlight, and picks up colors marvelously.

I have finally finished my artbook.  The pre-orders are up for sale on my  etsy.. I worked on this and Ophidian simultaneously, which is why they have very similar color schemes.    I am using layers of transparent color glazing as a technique.  So far, I like the effect!  I am going  to try to have this one finished before Atlanta Comic Con.  More updates soon!

I have also been using a heat lamp to speed up the drying process and mixing all of my paints with an alkyd solution.

I'm excited to tell you that I will have a table in the artist bazaar at Dragon*Con 2010 http://dragoncon.org/ this year.  I haven't received a table number, so unfortunately I cant let you know exactly where I will be in the room just yet.

Since this is going to be my first time showing at this event, I am going crazy with preparation! I wanted to let you know that this year I will have framed art in the Anime Weekend Atlanta Art show, though unfortunately, I will not be able to be there myself.  But, if you are in town come check it out!

So, the new beta portfolio feature is out.  I started building my page yesterday.  Here is the link if you would like to see it thus far:

Its pretty much the same as my regular website, except that I put up some commercial concept work.  Its probably going to take awhile to go through everything so I'll just upload it little by little for now.

Anyway, if you are a beta tester, you should definitely check it out! It is very easy to use, and you can put something together really fast.  I only wish that it was more customizable.

On a side note, I saw the movie "UP" which was just amazing.  The visuals were incredible, and the storyline was very moving.  I highly recommend you go see it!

I'm sorry it has taken me soooo long to post anything.  I have been finishing up a commission, that painting tutorial, and three new games.  Hopefully, by the end of this month I will have a bunch of new things to show!

Which reminds me, how do you guys like your tutorials?  I have been taking a new picture every day I work on it.  Do you want text to accompany each image, or just a montage of images in chronological order? Regardless of the method I use to show it, I hope you guys can understand it... I keep on going back and changing things!  Hopefully, it will not be too confusing.

I just wanted to thank everyone who has made me feel so welcome on this site.  It can be a really scary thing to post something that you have created for the whole world to see, but you have certainly made it easy with your kind and encouraging words!

Currently, I have been working on a watercolor and color pencil piece. It started out as a test (to see if i could get the two mediums to mesh together)  But, I kinda liked it, so I'm going to finish it.  Hopefully, I can post it before the holidays! ^_^
