Sorry I was crap at keeping you updated

No More Cancers
Went to the doctor today and he told me there was nothing on the scan.  I was expecting this, so I'm rather calm about it.  So yeah, no more of the Big K.  Well, at least, not that they can detect.  I told the doctor I wanted to stop treatment (he recommended 4 more chemo treatments followed by radiation. No thanks).  He was much nicer than the last doctor I told that to.  I don't think I told you guys about that.  Ugh, god, sorry, I know I said I'd keep everyone updated, but I just really don't like talking about it :dummy:

Size Requirement Changes
As you may have noticed, the minimum size requirements for stock have recently changed!  :develandria: and I are very excited about this.

"Size must be a MINIMUM of 1000x1000pixels (excluding vintage portraits that are relatively small and of low quality)"

So what does this mean for me as a stock provider? First of all, you do NOT need to change your previously-submitted stocks.  They are still allowed to stay up.

First of All...
Here's what I did yesterday:

My hair is falling out from the chemo, so as long as I won't be using it, I decided to cut it off and donate what I still had.

Here's what I'm donating...16" at the longest.  She cut it at the base of my neck, so it was probably something like 20" off overall.

I was only slightly nervous =P  My neck is cold.

This was supposed to be posted for Stock and Resources Art History month, but somehow it got lost :<  It is now re-found, so I figured I should post it!

First of all, what the heck is a camera obscura?

The words come from Latin, of course, with "camera" meaning "room" and "obscura" meaning "dark."

This is a bit magic, but basically a camera obscura works very simply. You go into a very dark room (or it can be a box) and poke a small hole on one side. On the opposite side, the world outside will be projected in perfect color, with perfect perspective intact, only upside down. Lookie!!

I FINALLY got pictures!  Both of these awesome prezzies arrived right before I went to work one day.  I threw the hoodie on (as I had to wear it right away!) and ran out the door and sadly put the goggles on the table to fully inspect later as I was about to be late.  But!  As soon as I got home that night, I played with them :D

Rembrandt van Rijn is the first artist I think of when talking about self portraits.  (That could be because he's my favorite painter, but whatever ;) )  Some sources say he made 60 self-portraits, others claim he did over 90.  Whatever the number, it was a LOT.
